Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi manajerial kepala madrasah dalam mempersiapkan akreditasi melalui pendampingan model “BERKAT EVADIR BISA”yang merupakan akronim dari “bedah perangkat akreditasi, evaluasi diri, bimbingan intensif dan simulasi akreditasi”. Penelitian ini merupakan school action research dengan subyek kepala madrasah beserta guru dan tenaga kependidikan di tiga Madrasah Aliyah (MA) binaan yang akan melakukan reakreditasi pada tahun 2017 yaitu MA Nurul Huda Gondang, MA NU Gondang dan MA Al Hikmah Tanon. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan (planning), pelaksanaan tindakan (acting), pengamatan (observing), dan refleksi (reflection).Waktu penelitian selama 4 bulan yaitu Februari sampai dengan Mei 2017. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan pendampingan model “BERKAT EVADIR BISA” nilai persiapan akreditasi ketiga MA tersebut mengalami peningkatan dari kondisi awal ke siklus I dan siklus II. Data peningkatan nilai masing-masing adalah MA NU Gondang: kondisi awal 75; siklus I: 86; dan siklus II: 94. MA Nurul Huda Gondang kondisi awal: 77; siklus I: 85; dan siklus II: 95. MA Al Hikmah Tanon kondisi awal: 79; siklus I: 84; dan siklus II:95. Berdasarkan kajian teori dan hasil tindakan, simpulan hasil penelitian bahwa pendampingan model “BERKAT EVADIR BISA”dapat meningkatkan kompetensi kepala madrasah dalam mempersiapkan akreditasi pada MA Nurul Huda Gondang, MA NU Gondang dan MA Al Hikmah Tanon Tahun 2017.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the optimization problem solving skills predictions about national exam mathematics courses through Jigsaw approach at a ninth grade students of State Junior High School  4 Boyolali. Subject and source of research data were do students of class IX A. The methods of collecting data were questionnaires, documentation, and test. Data were analyzed using a critical and comparative analysis. Indicators of success or graduation used criteria 5.5 (scale 4) or 55 (scale 100) and a target of 100% completion. The procedure used a classroom action research study conducted in three cycles, the first cycle was as initial condition, while the second and third cycles were as action. The results of research suggest that: (1) the motivation of participants students in learning mathematics courses before cycle can be described increase in the result, namely from before cycle to the first cycle, an increase of before cycle is average of 56 to the first cycle of an average of 58 (4%), of the first cycle an average of 58 the second cycle to an average of 79 of 21 (36%). Thus, the higher motivation of learners shows an impact on learning outcomes. While the mathematics learning outcomes can be described increase in the result, namely from before cycle to the first cycle, an increase of before cycle average of 45 to the first cycle an average of 59 of 14 (31%), from the first cycle an average of 59 to the second cycle mean average 69 of 10 (17%). Finally it can be said that using jigsaw for optimization problem solving skills predictions about national exam mathematics courses is recommended.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the role of learning leadership and the obstacles faced by school principals in improving student learning outcomes at SMK Pelita Bangsa Sumberlawang Sragen. This research is a qualitative research that produces descriptive data in the form of words, written or oral from people and observed behavior. Data collection techniques carried out by in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using an interactive model of analysis. The results showed, first, the principal was the most instrumental element in improving the quality of education and learning. Learning leadership at SMK Pelita Bangsa Sumberlawang Sragen is carried out in 3 dimensions, namely through the formulation of school missions, good learning management, and building a conducive school climate. Second, the obstacles in implementing leadership learning in SMK Pelita Bangsa Sumberlawang Sragen include several things, namely the lack of professional teachers, conventional curriculum, incomplete supervision, and incomplete learning infrastructure.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are: (1) to determine the characteristics of academic administrative (2) to know the description of academic and administrative services and the student resistances. The study is a descriptive qualitative. It is conducted at the Computer Control Engineering Program of Polytechnic Madiun. The respondents in this study are the Chairman, staff, and students of Computer Control Engineering Program. The main data collection tools by means of interviews and documentation. It was developed by the researcher himself and validity tested by triangulation techniques. The results of this study concluded: 1) control program engineering studies led by the chief together with the secretary program, and assisted by the administrative staff. The academic administrations are student planning card, attendance list, class scheduling, semester reporting, the final semester result reporting, and final project schedule, 2) generally the academic administrative services do not fulfill the students satisfactory, such as administrative room less extensive, administrative officer less responsive in providing some services and not in line with a predetermined schedule, but the level of student resistance remains high.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Test the role of the learning environment and learning resources together, towards mathematics learning outcomes, indirectly through learning motivation. 2) Testing the role of the learning environment and learning resources simultaneously has a direct effect on learning motivation. 3) Test the role of learning motivation on mathematics learning outcomes. The study population of 246 students, a sample of 153 students. Research uses a quantitative correlational approach. Data collection uses questionnaires and documents. Data analysis techniques used path analysis, classical assumption test, model accuracy test, and estimator parameter accuracy test. Structural equation for the relationship between variables as follows: Z = 0.196 X1 + 0.171 X2 + 0.193 Y + 0.911, meaning that if the learning environment, learning resources, and learning motivation variables rise one level then successively have an effect each by 0.196; 0,171; 0.193 against mathematics learning outcomes. The results of the study: 1) There is a simultaneous role of the learning environment and learning resources, towards mathematics learning outcomes, indirectly through motivation to learn mathematics. 2) There is the role of the learning environment and learning resources simultaneously have a direct effect on learning motivation. 3) There is a role for learning motivation towards mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of research to determine the planning, implementation, and evaluation of school mathematics curriculum adaptive cluster. Qualitative research with ethnographic design. Where research SMK N 2 Purwodadi. The research subject Principals, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques of interview, observation, documentation. The validity of the triangulation of data sources, techniques, time. Data analysis techniques with methods groove. The results of the study (1) Management of adaptive curriculum in math lesson planning includes designing syllabi and lesson plans that already contains a character education is the KI and KD, as well as the student's character assessment sheets .; (2) The study of mathematics includes three activities, namely the preliminary activities of teachers manage the religious character of prayer, discipline go to class on time, invite students to maintain the cleanliness of the classroom, and teachers to motivate students. Core activities, teachers implement instructional methods discussion so familiarize students have a democratic character, tolerance, social care, communicative, curiosity, love of peace, hard work, and creative. The activities cover teachers familiarize students have the responsibility and creative character by giving the task .; (3) Management of adaptive curriculum in the evaluation of mathematics learning are teachers carry out daily tests or individual assignments so students can familiarize themselves has an honest character, discipline, hard work and responsibilities. Assessment can also be done with the observation in the learning process fatherly knowing the attitude, knowledge and skills of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peranan kepala sekolah dalam menumbuhkembangkan budaya organisasi, dengan studi kasus di SMPIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta. Permasalahan yang diteliti difokuskan pada bagaimana peran kepala sekolah dalam mensosialisasikan, memelihara dan mengembangkan budaya organisasi bagi guru dan karyawan di SMPIT Nur Hidayah. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peran kepala sekolah dalam menumbuhkembangkan budaya organiasi bagi guru dan karyawan di SMPIT Nur Hidayah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan di SMPIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta. Subyek utama dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru dan karyawan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi dan analisis dokumen. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian dengan triangulasi data. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan interractive analysis model Miles dan Huberman yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data dan penyajian data serta kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Sosialisasi budaya organisasi bagi guru dan karyawan diarahkan kepada upaya memperluas informasi dan pemahaman guru dan karyawan tentang budaya organisasi (2) Pemeliharaan budaya organisasibagi guru dan karyawan dilakukan untuk melestarikan budaya organisasi yang telahada tertanam semakin kokoh dalam diri guru dan karyawan dalam proses perjalanan organisasi sehingga memberikan ciri khusus organisasi (3) Pengembangan budaya organisasi dilakukan melalui peningkatan kualitas dan kuantitas pelaksaan budaya semangat, kebersamaan, keilmuan dan nilai perilaku hidup muslim amar ma’ruf nahi munkar menuju akhlaqul karimah.

Abstract

The present paper aims to reveal the problems faced by teachers when teaching English for second – grade students at Al – Azhar 55 Islamic Primary Schoolin Yogyakarta. This bilingual school is considered as a pilot project which began theprogram in July 2016. There are only 2 classes which are the first and second grade.However, this study involved 21 second-grade students, 2 homeroom teachers, and 1native speaker. Qualitative method was applied in this study by combining documentanalysis, observation, and interview both students and the teachers. The results showsome problems occurred during teaching and learning process and how the teachersovercome them. The problems were (1) students’ lack of discipline during teaching andlearning process (2) the variety of students’ English ability, (3) difficulty in creating habit to use English as daily language, and (4) less support from parents. While, the solutions were (1) applying Class Dojo application, (2) providing the preparation class, (3) support and assistance from teachers and friends, and (4) hands – on learning.

Abstract

The development of character values and cultural values is a long process start- ing from the initial incoming students to completion of an educational unit. In fact, the pro- cess starts from the kindergarten continues to elementary school and lasted at least until the 9th grade or last grade of junior high school. The development process of character and cultural values carried by each subject, and in each curricular and extracurricular activities, through all subjects, personal development, and education unit. This study seeks to describe the profile of Indonesian subjects teaching materials in the current elementary school according to teachers and students opinions and the needs of students and teach- ers towards Indonesian subjects thematic teaching materials which contains character and cultural values. Research and development is applied to the field of education . The subjects of research were elementary school students and elementary schools teachers in Ungaran and Semarang. 27 people (29 %) of teachers declared that there are Indonesian textbooks were still least helpful in teaching. 8 people (9 %) of teachers stated that the Indonesian textbooks were incomplete. 85 people (91 %) of teachers want the Indonesian textbook to be more complete, making it easier for teachers to teach.

Abstract

This study describes how a national English textbook entitled When English Rings a Bell for Junior High School Level meets criteria of Cunnignswirth’s good English textbook. Interviews with the teacher and students of grade VII at SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Surakarta were conducted to investigate how the textbook is considered qualified. Document review was also applied to analyse the textbook. The results show that all chapters in the “When English Rings a Bell” textbook fulfill the Cunningsworth’s criteria of a good textbook. The textbook was suitable enough to be used for media in teaching learning process for the seventh grade students of Junior High School. From the teacher’s view, the textbook is appropriate with the learning objectives of the curret curriculum. This is in line woth the Cunningsworth’s criteria. However, some students found difficulties in using this textbook: 1). they still need teacher’s role to clearly explain the materials, 2). Supporting materials from other sources to improve the students’ ability in both comprehending the concept and doing practices. These two may be caused by the lack of examples in the textbook.
