Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a high level of vulnerability to natural disasters. Based on the disaster index of risk, Central Java Province is one of the provinces that experienced the most disasters in Indonesia. Community preparedness efforts towards disasters are still considered weak, as evidenced by a large number of fatalities, property losses, and deaths. Children are classified as vulnerable to disaster management efforts and therefore require special efforts to increase knowledge about disaster mitigation. This study aims to increase students knowledge of disaster mitigation through disaster preparedness socialization activities to realize disaster resilient schools. This research is one form of community service through socialization activities with a qualitative approach. The result of the study shows that the level of students knowledge of disaster mitigation still needs for improving more. Low knowledge can increase the number of casualties resulting from disasters. The solution offered by researchers is conducting disaster awareness education activities through disaster socialization. It is expected that follow up actions such as maintenance and supervision as controls with the aim of such activities have the optimal result to increase students knowledge of disaster mitigation and the realization of disaster resilient schools.

Abstract

The aim and main target of the study is to know the advantages of IFRS convergencein Indonesia, the impact that is appeared, barrier that is faced, and the way toovercome. The approach that is used qualitative descriptive. Data that is usedqualitative. While data sources that is used library literatures that is closed relation with thetopic and relevant written document. The research result show that the benefits of IFRSconvergence are: 1. to ease the understanding of financial reporting by using standardfinancial accounting that is known internationally (enhance comparability), 2. to increaseglobal investment stream through transparancy, 3. to decrease capital budget by openingfund raising through capital market globally, 4. to create eficient financial reportingarrangement, and 5. to increase financial reporting quality. The appeared impact that iscaused by IFRS convergence are; 1. mind stream changing from rule-based to principlebased,2. international butgetting accses will be opened because financial reporting will beeasier to communicate to global investors, 3. The relevance of financial reporting willincrease because using more logical value, etc. The barrier that is faced during IFRSconvergence are: 1. Accounting standard board that is lacked of human resource, 2. highbudgetting to adopt IFRS. That impact can be overcome by preparing qualified humanresources that have IFRS capability and developing a good integration system

Abstract

This study aims to test the implementation of moving peer tutoring method to improve information literacy competence of prospective accounting educator students. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental design. This method is implemented on twenty five people as participants and three people as peer tutors who provide information to each other. The pre-test and post-test data were collected through a questionnaire. The instrument reliability test was carried out through validity and reliability tests with 23 respondents being tested. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of moving peer tutoring method is able to improve information literacy competence of prospective accounting educators. A significant increase shows that students in higher education are still comfortable with their learning style with their peers who are relatively the same age. These results need to be re-examined in elementary and middle school students to obtain broader results.

Abstract

The objectives of the research are to know and analyze the effect of instructional leadership, motivation, and school facilities on teachers’ discipline and their following effects on teachers’ performance both directly and indirectly of Elementary School Teachers of Laweyan Sub District of Surakarta. The type of the research is a survay research with correlational design. The population of the research were Elementary School teachers of Laweyan Sub District of Surakarta consist of 384 teachers. The sample of the research were 192 teachers selected using proportional random sampling. The data collection method was done using questionnaire. The technique of data analysis was done using path analysis of two paths.Based on the analysis, the research concludes that: 1) instructional leadership, motivation, and school’s facilities dicipline have a significant contribution on teachers’ performance indirectly through teachers’ dicipline both simultaneously and partially. It is indicated by the F statistic and t statistic results yielded; 2) instructional leadership, motivation, and school’s facilities have a significant contribution on teachers’ dicipline both simultaneously and partially. It is indicated by the F statistic and t statistic results yielded; and 3) teachers’ dicipline has significant contribution on teachers’ performance of elementary school teachers at Laweyan Sub District of Surakarta. It is demonstrated with the correlation coefficient yielded of 0.802 that significant at 0.000.

Abstract

Our nation’s journey is getting dynamic. Problems are coming based on the era changing. The shape of our nation behavior is moving without any basic character concept. When the Demak emperor reached the peak of glory, continued by the colonialisms, Soekarno (Old Orde Era), Soeharto (New Orde Era), and Reformation era, the effort to build our nation never stop. Many people and treasure were sacrificed; however the results were not satisfying. Even the same problems repeated as historical theory.Through case analysis method, from small cases, the shape of unity is a fact. Character building that was stated in religion subject could not serve the satisfying results. Even nation character building is being more left behind compared to other nations. The new policy is needed to overcome those problems. Firstly, mother culture and national culture need to improve, whereas international culture is the second choice. Secondly, the implementation honesties, smart, queue culture trough exemplary are important. Wider proportion of psychomotor dimension will improve character building.

Abstract

This study aims to get information about the implementation of the partnership programs for school, family, and community at SMK Negeri 1 Surakarta. This study was case study research with qualitative approach that was equipped quantitative data (percentage). The research subjects consisted of 5 people, namely the teacher, principal, school committee, and two students. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Testing the validity of the data are done by triangulation method which not only collects data but also tests the credibility of the data obtained. The data were analyzed using the qualitative data analysis and percentage descriptive statistics. The results of the study are as follows. (1) Generally, the process of preparing partnership programs for school, family, and community at SMK Negeri 1 Surakarta is not accordance with the guidelines issued by the Indonesia Ministry of Education and Culture. The school does not have a plan and organizing system related to school, family and community partnership programs. (2) The level of implementation of the partnership program is 82.5%, schools tend to focus on utilizing existing institutions such as the role of school committees so that there is no variation in parental involvement activities in the learning process and activities in the school environment.

The article talks over about early married effects and its lawproblematic in Indonesia. Married is the right of everybody.Human being instinct to continue married civilization is to be thekeywords of culture improvement in one nation. Married can bebasic of doing better social effort. The qualified Family buildingwill produce excellent generation in one nation. In the other hand, family failurewill give effect to the society bankruptcy and fail in preparing excellentgeneration. The psychology effect will influence the growing up children in thefuture. Early married is as social problem that is caused by many factors, such as;free sex impact, demoralized and bad attitude of young generation. Early marriedimpact caused the quality of house hold is not excellent, both in reproductionhealth, or in preparation psychology and family economic, therefore it bringsdivorce effect, and unmanaged the quality of children education.

Abstract

The low student achievement in social studies topics motivates this research. This is because the teacher's learning process still applies the conventional learning model. So academic performance in social studies topics is low. The Cooperative Script model is very appropriate to improve student achievement in learning process, as this model can encourage cooperation and student activity in mastering lessons to achieve maximum academic performance. The purpose of this study was to examine the efficacy of the script-cooperative learning model to improve social studies for SMP N students in Rokan Hulu Regency. This type of study is a two-group pretest posttest design research experiment. Population and sample were second-year students of SMP N 12 Tambusai Utara. Data collection method through written testing. Type of statistical analysis was using t-test. Results showed that the cooperative learning model of script is more effective than conventional learning model to improve student learning outcomes. This study focuses on the script cooperative learning model to improve student achievement in junior high school social studies subjects. The results of this study can be used as reference material for further research using different variables. Such as a cooperative script learning model to increase student learning activity.

Abstract

This article presents high school budgeting and the significance high school performance measurement and why the relation between high school budget and high school performance measurement. A budget is a document that proposes income and expenditures for an annual period. The annual budget becomes the dominant management tool for planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling activities. High school budgets may be used for co-ordinating the multipurpose activities of a high school. Performance measurement is a vital part of the new managerialism in high school. They essentially measures the productivity and efficiency. The results may be used for assessing the overal effectiveness and efficiency of the high school activities. High school budget is one of performance indicator. Measuring the performance of high school is difficult and calls for a complex mosaic of indicators. Performance indicators of a high school can be classified into: curriculum, student, teacher and officer, teaching aids and infra structure, school organization and management, financial and social participation

Abstract

The research aim was to describe the improvement of grade X.3 SMA N 3 (State Senior High School) student’s economic learning outcome through group discussion method. The respondents of this research were 32 Grade X.3 students of SMA N 3 Sukoharjo. The research was conducted in two cycles, every cycle had four steps. The steps were (1) planning, (2) acting, (3) observing, (4) reflecting. The results of this action research were divided in two cycles.  In the first, cycle students average score was 70,31 higher than before. In the second cycle, students average score was 79,59. Based on those results, the implementation of group discussion method improved the learning outcome of grade X.3 students of SMA N 3 Sukoharjo in the economic subject.Keywords : Group Discussion Method, Learning Outcome, Economic
