Abstract

This study aims to analyze people's perceptions regarding the act of begging as a work activity, so that the status of the existence of begging activities can be obtained. This study uses a qualitative research design. The research was conducted in Tulungagung from January 2020 to January 2021. The research subjects were 10 people who had experience interacting with beggars. Collecting data using thematic interviews as an approach. The results of the study showed that the respondents dominantly made the perception that the activity of begging was a work activity. This is indicated by the informant's findings that 1) beggars seek a certain income; 2) begging is considered the easiest alternative to earn money; 3) beggars are considered lazy to work in the formal realm. The perception of begging as a work activity is driven by the perception that beggars apply an attempt to lie by displaying a symbol of poverty to obtain maximum income. So that begging is placed in a fair status with consideration, beggars are individuals who are lazy to work and beggars are parents and people with physical disabilities. Taking into account the existence of prevailing norms, the informants placed the activity of begging as a work activity in a pathological position and had implications for the rejection of the existence of begging activities. Rejection is represented by a response negligence acts as a cultural treatment and arrests, coaching, and repatriation of perpetrators are carried out as institutional treatment.

Abstract

Crosspuzzle learning is necessary for encouraging students more critical and quickly to understand the material. This study aims to analyze the use of crossword puzzles in the inquiry model by determining the difference between the application of critical thinking and meaningful learning in online learning at SMPN 1 Parepare using crossword puzzle. The research approach was carried out with a sequential explanatory design. This research in the first stage uses quantitative methods, followed by qualitative methods in the second stage. The quantitative method used quasi-experimental data analysis techniques with independent sample-t test on 64 respondents in the control and experimental classes, while the qualitative method was used to extract information using an open questionnaire after the post-test results were got. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the ability of critical thinking and meaningful learning to use the inquiry model (crossword puzzle) got from the t-test results which showed the value of sig.2-tailed 0.000.05 and tcount 4.688 ttable 1.999. This difference is also supported by descriptive data as an average post-test score of 93.28 for the experimental class which comprises 93.75% of respondents in the very good category and 6.25% in the good value category, higher than the average score for the control class of 85.19.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation process and the obstacles experienced during online learning. This type of research uses qualitative research with a case study design. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results show that 1) the process of implementing online learning has been going well using several media, namely Google Classroom, Google Form, Whatsapp, Zoom and several websites. The process begins with scheduling at the beginning of the semester, implementing the learning process and ending with an evaluation; 2) Constraints that occur during online learning at SMKN 3 Sukoharjo come from internal and external factors. Internal factors are laziness and addiction to playing games. While external factors are limited signal and internet quota used to access learning, lack of teacher knowledge or mastery of IT related to the media used during online learning; 3) The solution applied to internal factors for students is that the teacher always provides motivation at the beginning of the learning process by giving points each student can answer questions from the teacher, the solution that can be given to teachers is to provide training and coaching for teachers related to online learning. Then for external factors, namely providing free quota assistance to students, delivering material through media that does not drain internet quota too much, scheduling that has been neatly arranged so that students can know when to find a place to get a strong signal during the learning process.

Abstract

The end of the 20th century was marked by euphoria over the development of internet technology such as the world wide web, which brought changes to scientific development including accessibility of historical sources and its use. This shift supports new adaptations as well as challenges conventional archival models, while opening opportunities for these digitized documents in history learning. However, the conversion or digitization of archives in Indonesia is slow, let alone its use for education, especially history education. This paper will take some experiences from countries that have digitized archives and adapt them in the history learning process as a real-world real-time experience. Two countries, the Netherlands and Australia, will be compared to see how they implement these strategies and how Indonesia can adopt a similar model for it. Further, five teacher candidates were involved as informants in interviews regarding their effort to incorporate digital historical sources in the learningfrom-home activities. A qualitative approach was used to see the extent to which the readiness of technical and non-technical aspects of the implementation of real-world and real-time-experience learning model in history education. While the review shows how promising the digital history and historical sources in the developed countries is, Indonesia is not ready enough for its usage due to some issues. These challenges will be discussed further. Keywords: digital history, real

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the training modules currently in use, develop homeroom teacher leadership training modules that meet the valid, practical and effective criteria, and analyze the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the modules. This research uses research and development (RD) methods, the product developed is a homeroom teacher leadership training module. The development steps use a modified RD step, namely preliminary studies, development, and testing. Data collection techniques using documentary studies, observations and interviews. The data analysis technique used qualitative and quantitative approaches. The subjects of this study were homeroom teachers at SMK Negeri 3 Kasihan. The results achieved in this study were the homeroom teacher leadership training module which was developed based on the analysis of the principal strengthening training module. The developed module meets the valid criteria based on the validation test of material experts and learning experts with an average value of 71%. The results of the assessment analysis of the module trial participants showed that the module met the practical criteria with an average score of 96%, then based on data analysis using the t-test showed that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) which is .000 less than 0.05 interpretation, there is a significant difference in effectiveness between the experimental class and the control class, it can be concluded, this homeroom teacher leadership training module is effectively applied in homeroom teacher leadership training.

The emergence of covid-19 outbreak has an impact on implementing virtual learning. This transformation has become one of the concerns for students, so the process of ongoing learning has a decrease in quality. Need information from student’s perceptions of how the learning process they expect. This study aims to analyze student perceptions of online learning. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method which is analyzed using statistical-descriptive analysis techniques. Collecting data in the form of a questionnaire distributed to 112 active students of the S1 Social Studies Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Malang. The results showed that online learning is still considered less effective by looking at the carrying capacity of perceptions both on internal and external factors. Abstract

The challenge of finding a job for college graduates are getting tighter due to the number of jobs with an unbalanced workforce. One solution to overcome this problem is to become an entrepreneur. This study aims to look at the influence of locus of control, tendency to take risks, self-confidence, need for achievement, tolerance for ambiguity, and innovation, on entrepreneurial intentions. The grand theory used is the Planned Behavior Theory from Ajzen (1991). The research method used is the explanatory survey method. The study population was 19,919 students with a sample size of 366 respondents. The research sample was taken from the UPI student population. Collecting data using a questionnaire that has been tested for the level of validity and reliability. The data processing technique used descriptive analysis and regression analysis. The results showed that locus of control, propensity to take risks, selfconfidence, need for achievement, tolerance for ambiguity, and innovation had a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intentions. Innovation as the most dominant factor influencing entrepreneurship intention. There is no difference in entrepreneurship intention from the aspect of gender. It is recommended to increase the locus of control indicators, namely the indicator of belief in success, the confidence variable, namely the indicator of having weaknesses and fears, the need for achievement, namely the indicator of not liking paid work, the variable of innovation, which is an indicator of avoiding doing things.
