Abstract

The objective of this research was to examine the influence of guided teaching on students’ independent learning. This research was an action research / preexperimental design research in RS15A of second year students in Bachelor degree of Primary Education in Satya Wacana Christian University. The instrument to test the student’s independent learning was tested in RS15B class. The instrument was qualified to be used in the research and it was used for pretest and posttest. The enhancement of students’ independent learning was shown by a significant difference between posttests and pretest. The inferential data analisys were performed using independent sample t-tests. The results showed that there were significant differences between pretest and posttest. Moreover, Guided Teaching were able to increase students’ independent learning by 59%.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the conducting of democracy values on students’ community in study program of Pancasila and kewarganegaraan education of FKIP-UMS in 2013/2014 Academic Year. The kind of research is qualitative with single case study strategy. Technique of data collection is by using interview, observation, and documentation. Data validity is by using technique and source of triangulation. Data analysis is by using interactive analysis. The research result showed that the conducting of democracy values on students’ community in study program of Pancasila and kewarganegaraan education of FKIP-UMS can be seen from the teaching learning process activity. The forms of conducting democracy values on students’ community in study program of Pancasila and kewarganegaraan education of FKIP-UMS were showed by: 1)Doing discussion with other students on teaching learning process in the classroom; 2) Giving input or opinion to other students on classroom discussion; 3) Receiving advice or critique from other students on classroom discussion; 4) Taking decision with cooperation towards things that have linked with academic activity outside the classroom; 5) Doing discussion with other students in doing group duty outside the classroom.

Abstract

This research aims to determine how the success or failure of implementation of the education policy inclusive in Tasikmalaya city based on the regulation of Tasikmalaya Mayor Number 46 year 2014 about the implementation of inclusive education in Tasikmalaya City. The problems that arise include facilities and infrastructures that still lack support of the inclusive education process, funding sources for the course of inclusive education programs and human Resources Special escort teachers (GPK) that are still lacking and need additions. In research is an analytical descriptive study by using data collection techniques such as observation of the research object in a manner of frankly and later subsequent interview techniques on informant relevant to this study and documentation studies. For the data analysis techniques in this research is conducted through three activities that occur simultaneously namely data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions or verification. As for the analysis of data on this research use triangulation techniques. Based on the results of research in SD Negeri 4 Mount Lipung consistently and sustainably enough to run an inclusive education program. But there are still some issues that arise such as communication that lacks details between the education office as a policy maker and the school as an impelentor or policy executor. Still need special attention from the Government related to human resources special Companion teachers (GPK), facilities and infrastructure resources that support inclusive education programs and also special funding sources for inclusive education programs. But SD Negeri 4 mount Lipung can be categorized successfully in the implementation of the inclusive education program policy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana perubahan tingkat pendapatan akibat adanya perubahan bentuk Badan Hukum dari Perum menjadi Persero. Penelitian ini mengambil obyek penelitian pada PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero), dengan populasi sebanyak 11 Wilayah PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) dan diambil sampel sebanyak 5 Wilayah PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero), dengan menggunakan tehnik Non Random Sampling. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan metode dokumentasi dan interviu, teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji beda mean dengan teknik t test.Untuk menguji hipotesis digunakan t test, dengan menggunakan t tabel pada level of significance 0,05 diperoleh sebesar 2,776 dan t hitung sebesar –0.331. Dari hasil perhitungan ini di peroleh hasil bahwa perubahan bentuk Badan hukum dari Perum menjadi Persero tidak mempengaruhi terhadap tingkat pendapatan, yang dapat dibuktikan dengan –2,776 £ -0.331 atau £ 2.776 yang berarti Ho diterima.

Abstract

The research investigates the influence of good public governance toward economics teacher’s performance in Kota Salatiga, Kabupaten Semarang dan Kota Semarang with teacher’s work engagement as intervening variable. The population of this study is all economics teachers in Kota Salatiga, Kabupaten Semarang and Kota Semarang. Descriptive and path analysis are used to estimate and interpret the results. There are three findings in this research. Firstly, Good Public Governance influences economics teacher’s performance indirectly and totally with teacher’s work engagement as intervening variable. Secondly, economics teacher’s performance is not significantly influenced by good public governance directly. The last finding is that teacher’s work engagement influence economics teacher’s performance directly. On the other words, good public governance increases economics teacher’s work engagement, in doing so influence economics teacher’s performance.

Abstract

The research aims were: 1) to describe the revitalization of subject “Patroli Keamanan Sekolah (PKS)” at PPKn FKIP UMS in order to discipline character reinforcement and social concern; 2) to describe the task achievement (Capaian Pembelajaran) to revitalize subject PKS; 3) to describe PKS lesson plan; 4) to draft the development of PKS in order to reinforce discipline and social concern of PPKn students as a extracurricular tutor. This was a research and development done by sequences in two years. The research subjects were all appropriate source persons such as lecturers, students, alumni, and other stakeholders. The in-depth interview, focus group discussion, observation, literature review and indexing were conducted to collect data while interaction analysis was used to data interpretation. Research found: 1) PKS revitalization was conducted by task achievement (CP), Lesson Plan (RPS), integrated lesson trough learning, workshop, and training; 2) CP was arranged by sequence starting from first meeting to last meeting (14) with all competencies such as knowledge, attitude, and life skill; 3) Lesson plan included: CP attitude and values, basic knowledge, special skills, knowledge mastering, managerial skill, method and strategy, assignment, scoring, monitoring and feedback needed the active role from students in term of: students attendance, group presentation, class discussion, student activity monitoring, and face to face evaluation.

Abstract

The results of observations in several junior high schools in Jakarta showed that in the current global era the presence of millennial generation cultural values, a person needs a strong controller to be able to choose and sort out the values freely offered. That is necessary to strengthen social tolerance, especially for teachers in Junior High School. The activity was carried out in order to establish a tolerant attitude, especially in instilling multicultural values such as democracy, justice, equality, tolerance and respect for diversity. As well as improving the ability of teachers to provide reinforcement of social tolerance in the learning of Civic Education in junior high school. The method used to strengthen social tolerance of Civic Education learning is through training that is guided by experienced instructors. The evaluation used to measure the success of this training can be seen through the training activity evaluation questionnaire that was filled in by all the training participants. The target audience for this training activity are Civic Education teachers in Junior High School at Jakarta. The results of this training show that in the cultivation of social tolerance there are several attitudes that must be taken, namely: Harmonious interaction, Instilling brotherhood, instilling caring attitude, Collaborative attitude. It is expected that the planting of social tolerance provided by Civic Education teacher to students can achieve Civic Education vision of building smart and good citizens. Furthermore, by cultivating sustainable tolerance it will build tolerant citizens. Because citizens who are intellectually intelligent, both emotionally and actively building a country for a better Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to improve Accounting Education Department’s student self learning forTax Accounting lesson by using problem based learning method. The subject of this classroomaction research involved students of III a class Accounting Education Department in 2011/2012academic year, who studies Tax accounting (36 students). Flow method design research from Kemmisand Taggart by cycle model. Data collection used by observation technique, analysis procedure byusing interactive analysis model from Milles Huberman. Based on the research result in reflectionevaluation,can be concluded that: 1) by using the constructive procedure of problem based learningmethod the self learning of Accounting Education Department’s student for Tax Accounting lessonincreased; 2) the function of teacher as facilitator, motivator, and learning source not as dictator oflearning; 3) class situation become more active-creative; 4) student can be active in learning, able todo scheduled learning, have a high self confident, be critical in learning and have self enforcement.This method will be more effective to improve students self learning if they are explained about problembased learning, case study task can be solved in class, and reflection-evaluation in the end of sessionmust be provided by the teacher.

Abstract

Tutoring is an additional learning activity after school to improve students’ learning outcomes. Tutoring can be conducted by informal or institution, in small groups, or large groups. This study aims to describe the factors influencing students of tutoring after school and the strategy of after-school tutoring program company for school exams and to test students’ outcomes after following after-school tutoring. The participants were 30 students of third grade of senior high school majoring in social sciences. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, documentation, and observation. The data analysis technique is paired sample t-test. The independent variable is students before taking tutoring and students after following tutoring as the dependent variable. Based on paired sample t-test. It was found that t-count t-table is -2.066 -1.699. The results show a positive influence and significantly showed that tutoring succeeded in improving students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic caused various disturbances in society, especially in the socio-economic field. Almost all residents of Bicak Village feel the impact, this is because most of the residents are engaged in agriculture. The pandemic resulted in reduced grain prices and fewer job opportunities. However, the economy must keep moving by digging in, trying, and revitalizing local potential and resources. This research is based on social entrepreneurship to address the impact of the pandemic. Qualitative approaches with descriptive methods are used to explain the phenomenon of the revitalization of the impact of the pandemic with local potential-based social entrepreneurship. Primary data is collected through observations, interviews, and airy records, while primary data is from various sources of documentation. The results showed that the Bicak Village Government improved the quality of human resources in terms of practically useful knowledge and skills. Such as providing sewing machines to facilitate the creativity of citizens. In addition, the Bicak Village Government proposed training in making crafts from kur yarn. Crafts from kur threads are projected as embryos from a group of business units that the Bicak Village Government plans to shade by BUMDes. Society has a group of craftsmen who have received sewing training. The kur yarn crafting business can be regarded as a trial effort to pioneer small businesses to minimize the impact of the pandemic. The research team held workshops on making innovative model yarn crafts and marketing products online.
