Abstract

The increasing population in Yogyakarta City has implications for consumption and solid waste production activities. The waste collection process is the most expensive one in municipal waste management. It is necessary to determine the optimal route for municipal waste collection. In this research, we developed a vehicle routing problem (VRP) with a heterogeneous fleet, multiple trips, intermediate facility, and split delivery to approach the Yogyakarta City waste collection problem. We proposed a hybrid genetic algorithm (GA) to solve the VRP. The result of this study shows that developed VRP can be used to solve the Yogyakarta City waste collection problem.

Abstract

Employees are valuable asset in an organization. The organization can be defined as two types namely a profit or nonprofit company, and government institution. Employees as a capital human for these organization have big roles for performance measurement. Performance measurement of employee is used to determine whether the worker has been working efficient or not. Workload analysis is defined as analysis of a set or number of activities that must be completed by an organizational unit or position holder within a certain period of time. In this research, it will show employee workload analysis using two approaches in order to complete each other. Firstly, work sampling method was used to determine workload in physically. Secondly, NASA-TLX was utilized to analyze workload in mentally. Pareto method will also take a part for analysis the research result to be more comprehensive. This research has conducted in an East Java?s University-Indonesia. The respondents are employees who have each job description to do their work in each position. The employee?s workload will be calculated both physical and mental. From 25 position observed, show the job position who has strategic characteristic mostly have very high mental workload whereas the job position who has operational characteristic mostly have high physical workload

Abstract

Inventory management and control are needed, especially for retailers, to make their business run smoothly. Inventory management is related to the purchase, storage, and sale of goods. Therefore, the determination of the right amount of inventory in hands is crucial in this situation. Low inventory levels will cause a higher probability of shortage, but on the other hand, having a lot of inventory in hands will incur higher holding costs, extra storage space, and deterioration of goods in hands. In this paper, we propose an inventory model with the inventory and price-dependent demand. We also consider a deterioration factor in our model. There are two models developed in this paper, namely the linear deterioration rate model with constant holding cost and the model of the deterioration rate with Weibull distribution with linear time-dependent holding cost. The purpose of the model is to find the optimal price and ending inventory level that maximizes the average profit. Sensitivity analysis is also performed to find the effect of parameter changes in our model to the optimum solution. We found that model with Weibull deterioration rate and linear holding costs will give a higher average profit.

Abstract

ABC is a company engaged in the production of automotive spare parts and accessories, especially motorcycles. The problems faced by the company, there is frequent damage to the CNC Milling A. The company applies preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities, but these maintenance activities have not yet run optimally. Therefore, a maintenance system is developed to improve machine reliability. The method used is Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), with the aim of determining the optimal maintenance interval and estimation of efficient maintenance costs. RCM is done by analyzing the Failure Modes Effect and Critical Analysis (FMECA). The results of the FMECA analysis are in the form of a Risk Priority Number (RPN) that shows the components of rail bearings, spindle bearings, and hoses as critical components of the system. Through the RCM method, the maintenance policy is generated in the form of 2 scheduled on-condition tasks, 2 scheduled restorations, and 3 scheduled discard tasks with maintenance time intervals in accordance with the task category and can save maintenance costs of IDR 175.602.300.

Abstract

The need to reduce air pollutions produced by motor vehicle and traffic congestion is prominent as it improves human health and environmental destruction mitigation. Ridesharing programme is an effort to reduce traffic congestion without preventing people doing mobility and prohibiting them to buy motor vehicle. This paper addresses to investigate the determinant of university student to ridesharing programme. Four variables with descrete items were provided t respondents to be self selected. Those are home address status, type of driving licence, student?s travel behavior to university and intention of student to ridesharing programme. Those variables are analysed in to three models. By using Logistic Regression statictical analysis, this study shows that ridesharing programme intention is influenced by the behavior of student to travel to university. Meanwhile, student travel behavior is influenced by home address status and the ownership of driving licence of students.

Abstract

The release of ownership of oil palm plantation land at SEI Kencana from PT Perkebunan Nusantara V (PTPN V) Republic of Indonesia covering an area of 2800 ha has affected the planned supply of Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) raw materials to the company's palm oil industry. The supply from the SEI Kencana is calculated to be reduced by 50%, so it must be fulfilled from the company's external parties. There are at least five aspects of risk estimated to affect the supply of FFB, namely aspects of raw material supply, aspects of quality FFB supply, aspects of FFB prices, management aspects, and social aspects. Overall there are 16 identified risks in the FFB supply chain. The analysis uses fuzzy weighting techniques, followed by characterization using the principle of ISO 28001, grouping risks into three, namely: 1) risks that must be addressed immediately, 2) risks that are considered to be handled, and 3) risks that are temporarily noted (documentation). The risks with characters being addressed and considered to be addressed are those risks which in the near future, are considered to affect the supply of FFB raw materials for the industry. In the case of the release of 2800 ha of land in PTPN V, the amount of risk that needs to be mitigated with documented risk is equal. Within the next five years, mitigation of these risks has been prepared. With this risk management, the supply of FFB to factories in the Rokan-Tandun district can be secured.

Abstract

Wheat flour consumption in Indonesia continues to increase, so the government must import wheat on a large scale. One of the ways to reduce wheat consumption is by using substitutes. Mocaf (modified cassava flour) is a kind of flour that derived from cassava plants (Manihot esculenta). This flour can be used as a substitute for wheat flour due to its similar characteristics. Even though it has high economic potential, mocaf has only been marketed locally. One of the reason is the lack of quality packaging. The purpose of this study is to identify consumer preferences for mocaf packaging so that they can market the product not only locally but also nationally. In this study, AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method with four alternatives (plastic stand up pouch combination, Aluminium foil stand up pouch combination, screen printing plastic pouch, and paper pouch combination) and three criteria (price, model, and durability) is used to determine consumer preferences for mocaf packaging. This research obtained the conclusion that the highest weight for criterion and alternative are price and the screen printing plastic pouch.
