Abstract

UD. Dhika Putra merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam pembuatan tahu. Saat ini kondisi layout fasilitas produksi dan kondisi fisik lingkungan kerja di perusahaan mengalami kendala. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang ulang tata letak fasilitas pabrik pembuatan tahu yang dapat meminimalkan panjang lintasan material handling serta menerapkan metode 5S untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kerja, dengan menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Layout Planning (SLP). Sedangkan metode 5S untuk mengatur kondisi tempat kerja yang berdampak terhadap efektivitas kerja, efisiensi, produktivitas dan keselamatan kerja. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa layout usulan yang terpilih untuk dijadikan layout akhir dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan penurunan panjang lintasan material handling yang cukup signifikan yaitu 45 m atau sekitar 19,2% lebih pendek dari layout awal.

Abstract

Alat belajar/bermain di taman kanak-kanak merupakan salah satu fasilitas dan sarana yang perlu mendapat perhatian, mengingat besarnya fungsi dan manfaat alat tersebut dalam aktifitas belajar/bermain anak-anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang beberapa alat belajar/bermain, yaitu: perosotan, panjatan globe, panjatan setengah lingkaran, dan ayunan yang ergonomis menurut antropometri siswa Taman Kanak – Kanak Islam Permata Selat Panjang. Data antropometri yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diambil dari 30 orang anak TK. Dalam tahap analisis, hasil rancangan memperlihatkan perbedaan ukuran dan bentuk yang cukup signifikan dibandingkan alat bermain/belajar yang sudah ada sebelumnya. Perbedaan ini dianalisis lebih jauh dan disimpulkan bahwa alat yang telah dirancang memberikan nilai kontrol dan keselamatan yang lebih optimal dibanding alat belajar/bermain yang sebelumnya.

Abstract

Research on smoked fish packaging has only focused on its functional side to increase product life. Meanwhile, research on smoked fish packaging design that focuses on improving and expanding markets has never existed. Until now, smoked fish was sold without packaging even though the amount of production continued to increase. The purpose of this study was to determine consumer preferences for the design of smoked fish packaging. With the recognition of these preferences, it is expected that the smoked fish industry players can apply it so that it can increase the sale value and the number of sales. This study uses focus group discussion as a qualitative method and conjoint analysis as a quantitative method. Color, material, shape, size, brand, and additional information is the attribute chosen at the focus group discussion as a representation of smoked fish packaging to determine the level of its preference. The results of this study indicate that brands have the highest preference compared to others (importance values 30.303%).

Abstract

Group Technology System merupakan metode pengaturan fasilitas produksi (machine groups) yang dibutuhkan untuk memproses suatu part family tertentu ke dalam sel-sel manufaktur. Pengaturan tata letak di CV. Sonytex yang berdasarkan process layout mengakibatkan perusahaan menghadapi permasalahan berupa tingginya kebutuhan material handling. Salah satu kriteria kinerja dalam pembentukan sel manufaktur pada GTS adalah meminimasi total jarak material handling, sehingga dapat mengurangi biaya material handling dan meningkatkan produktivitas. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan tiga metode, yaitu Bond Energy Algorithm (BEA), Rank Order Clustering (ROC) dan Rank Order Clustering 2 (ROC2). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dengan menerapkan group technology systems diperoleh total pengurangan jarak material handling sebesar 70 m dan penghematan biaya material handling sebesar Rp 1.534.978,-. Berdasarkan model simulasi, relayout dengan metode BEA meningkatkan jumlah produksi sebesar 1 unit produk/hari dan penurunan waktu tunggu sebesar 0,575 menit.

Abstract

The ABC metal SME produces some wastes, such as liquid waste, solid waste, and smoke. The problem is hazardous waste dumped directly into the environment without any waste treatments which had bad impact on the environment around its SME. Therefore, this research is proposed to improve the production process of metal that can reduce the environmental impacts. The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method is developed to identify all the processes that have an impact on the environment and also to calculate the energy used. The values of environmental impact are calculated using Simapro 9.0 Software. In addition, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is employed to determine the best alternative fuel according to four criteria, such as temperature, price, emission, and fuel consumption. The results show the process that has the greatest environmental impact is the metal smelting process. It is caused by the source fuel in this process was used oil. The usage of used oil can be the sources of air pollution that causing health problems in the respiratory tract such as bronchitis and asthma. Some alternative fuel was proposed, however, fuel gas is the best alternative among others according to the expert opinions. For the managerial insight, this research can be suggestion for SME to choose the best fuel in the production process that considering economic and environmental aspects.

Abstract

PT. Mayatama Manunggal Sentosa merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak dibidang pembuatan pengaman kaca (safety glass). Pada tahun 2013, terjadi beberapa permasalahan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja yaitu kecelakaan kerja yang dialami oleh karyawan khususnya pada area proses produksi. Penelitian ini diawali dengan melakukan identifikasi kecelakaan kerja dan selanjutnya mencari sumber potensi bahaya kecelakaan kerja sehingga dapat dilakukan pencegahan kecelakaan dengan menggunakan metode Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP). Proses identifikasi dilakukan menggunakan HAZOP worksheet. Berdasarkan proses dari identifikasi bahaya pada proses produksi pembuatan pengaman kaca (safety glass) ditemukan 9 sumber potensi bahaya, diantaranya: kondisi lingkungan kerja, pecahan kaca, sikap pekerja, panel listrik, kabel yang berserakan, udara panas, genangan air dan bahan kimia yang berbahaya, kertas yang berserakan dan genangan air.

Abstract

This study discusses lean manufacturing concept to identify waste in Key Set Clarinet production process at Yamaha Musical Products Indonesia, Ltd. The lean manufacturing concept is done intially by big picture mapping, waste assessment model (WAM), value stream mapping (VSM) and cause and effect diagram respectively. The results show that the dominant waste is defect (26.04%), motion (19.34%), inventory (19.22%), and waiting (13.91%).

Abstract

Bamboo laminate is a product made from bamboo slats, which are glued parallely to the fibers. The adhesion results can be either board or beam thickness depending on the size and width. Bamboo has a high strength layer against abrasion and bending moment. In the previous study, lamination bamboo chair has the disadvantage on high production costs and a long process. Thus, it needs for redesigning seats from previous research. Design method with the concept of Design Guidelines Collaborative Framework is expected to make a product that is produced sustainably chair and have a relatively affordable cost of production. This chair design is made by bamboo bent lamination and bending process is done with Tohnet method with existing technology, that will generate power for the same structure with wood for the furniture industry and can not be separated from the value of comfort (ergonomic), aesthetic values and also not rule out environmental aspects according to Indonesian National Standard.

Abstract

Increased retail economic has had an impact on the Indonesian economy. Carrefour as an international company has a local company's competitor, Hypermart. In order for both companies to know the position of competing, then benchmarking done between them using CZIPA (Competitive Zone of Tolerance based Importance-Performance Analysis) method. The use of CZIPA methods is done to determine the priority of each self-service in making improvements. The dimension used is the retail dimension called RSQS (Retail Service Quality Scale). The goal to be achieved is to know the superior service quality indicators owned by Carrefour and Hypermart and to make priority services to be improved on both self-service using RSQS dimensions. Data collected through questionnaire with purposive sampling method to 133 people. Research finds the main problem facing Carrefour is self-service layout that does not facilitate consumers to find the desired product. At Hypermart, the main problem is that the products in the catalog are not always available.

Abstract

Pemasok nata de coco lembaran bagi CV. Agrindo Suprafood Yogyakarta merupakan suatu bagian yang penting bagi perusahaan. Saat ini, di perusahaan dalam melakukan pemilihan pemasok tidak kontrak menjadi pemasok kontrak terkadang mengalami kesulitan. Kesulitan terebut terjadi karena belum adanya kriteria yang secara rinci dapat dipergunakan untuk pemilihan pemasok. Sehingga pada penelitian ini akan berusahaan menemukan kriteria-kriteria yang berpengaruh dalam pemilihan pemasok. Pengolahan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Selain itu, model yang telah dibuat akan diimplementasikan menjadi suatu Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK). Kriteria yang dapat mempengeruhi pemilihan pemasok adalah jumlah total, jumlah total kualitas satu, jumlah total kualitas dua, jumlah total nata rusak, jumlah pengiriman maksimal, jumlah maksimal kualitas satu, jumlah maksimal kualitas dua, jumlah maksimal rusak, jumlah pengiriman minimal, jumlah minimal kualitas satu, jumlah minimal kualitas dua, jumlah minimal rusak, kerutinan, harga kualitas satu dan harga kualitas dua. Di samping itu, berdasarkan hasil pengujian Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) yang telah dibuat diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa sistem yang telah dibuat dapat dipergunakan nantinya oleh CV. Agrindo Suprafood Yogyakarta.
