Abstract

Gea Craft is a small business engaged in the production various types of woman's bag from cow leather up to aged fiber with make to order production system. Leather cutting worker state feels discomfort when working and often get pain complaints from some parts of his body. It impacts to disrupt work activities and normal activities. The research aims to improve the working posture of leather cutting and accelerate the time required for process of cutting the leather by designing leather cutting machine by using rational methods. The results of this research is a leather cutting machine design which can cut the risk level from assess work posture by Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method that decreases the score become 1 (there is no significant risk) and decrease the time process of leather cutting to 26.264%.

Abstract

Tahura Juanda (Tahura) is a forest park located between the city of Bandung, West Bandung Regency and Regency Bandung. It has a role to preserve the city environment.  Number of visitors in Tahura made the Tahura need to have a good waste management system.  Optimal waste management system can be achieved, if garbage collection and removal equipment work well, such is the place and garbage carts. Based on observation, the condition of the premises and garbage carts are less good. Therefore, it is needed to redesign the place and garbage carts through the whole process of product development. The study was conducted by identifying the needs of the janitor, Tahura management staff, and visitors. Identifications produce seven types of trash and five types garbage carts requirements, which will be the basis in developing the concept. The process of developing the concept of trash and garbage carts done using a combination tables and SCAMPER process. All concepts are selected by screening matrix concept and assessment concepts, to pick the concept of trash and garbage cart.

Abstract

The advancement of science and technology in the world has brought many influences to the changes in people's behavior and habits, one of that is the technology payment system adopted as an electronic payment system. As an electronic payment instrument, OVO cooperates with one of the online-based transportation services, Grab. However, the success of a company can be seen from the quality of service in meeting the satisfaction of the community or customers. The success of the company in providing quality services can be determined by the Service Quality (Servqual) approach, that is a method used to measure service quality from the attributes of each dimension, so that a gap value will be obtained that is the difference between consumers' perceptions of services that has been received in the hope that will be received. The objective to be achieved is to propose a design in the form of alternative solutions for the priority of improving the quality of electronic money OVO services in Grab applications. Data were collected through a questionnaire using non-probability sampling techniques with a total sample of 140 respondents. The study found the main problems, namely in the dimensions of compensation, responsiveness, and Privacy/Security.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan konsep Six Sigma untuk mengurangi terjadinya cacat dan menekan adanya variabilitas yang terjadi pada proses pembuatan keramik. Proses perbaikan dilakukan secara sistematis dan kontinyu dengan menggunakan siklus DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control). Dengan menggunakan diagram Pareto diperoleh dua jenis cacat kritis yang menjadi permasalahan utama yaitu retak dan bintik melepuh. Selanjutnya alternatif-alternatif perbaikan pada proses diperoleh dengan FMEA. Berdasarkan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) yang tertinggi diambil 3 alternatif perbaikan dan selanjutnya dipilih satu alternatif terbaik dengan menggunakan metode AHP. Implementasi perbaikan dilakukan dengan menggunakan timer dan menugaskan operator khusus pada saat pembakaran untuk mengurangi cacat retak dan membersihkan kotoran bodi dengan menggunakan kompresor untuk mengurangi bintik melepuh. Setelah dilakukan evaluasi hasil implementasi alternatif perbaikan pada proses pembuatan keramik diperoleh kenaikan level sigma dari 2,8 menjadi 3 yang diikuti penurunan DPMO dari 104.167 menjadi 65.625. Sedangkan prosentase biaya akibat kualitas keramik yang jelek (COPQ) terhadap total penjualan mengalami penurunan dari 16,48% menjadi 9,93%.

Abstract

To be able to retain its customer, PT Pelindo III Tanjung Perak Surabaya must serve and fulfill what is desired by prospective passengers so that they can maintain the loyalty of passengers who use the services. In this observation, there are 6 criterias that have servqual value below the average values (-0.03746). The first criteria is, the capacity of the waiting room (seats) is adequate (-0.16206), comfortable waiting room (-0.1500), security of luggage passengers (-0.08232), hygiene at Tanjung Perak harbor (-0.06160), giving attention to the grievances of passengers (-0.05896), and management responsiveness to complaints of passengers (-0.05040). This indicates that the port services are still not able to fulfill customer expectations. Method to solve this problem is using the TRIZ method. Results obtained from the analysis using TRIZ,that acquired  4 solutions given to the manager. The 4 solutions are division of task should be differentiated according to the places that exist in the passenger terminal, the process of measuring the quality of services they provide in a regularly and periodically, changes in physical conditions, especially the addition of a seat and air conditioning (central) or fan.

Abstract

Analisis Conjoint  digunakan     untuk    menentukan     tingkat    kepentingan      relatif berdasarkan    presepsi    konsumen    dan   nilai   kegunaan   yang   muncul   dari   atribut-atribut produk      terkait.      Untuk     menentukan       strategi,      analisis      conjoint  secara      spesifik merencanakan      segmentasi     pasar    berdasarkan     preferensi     konsumen     terhadap    atribut produk    yang   dipilihnya.     Tujuan   penelitian     ini  mengetahui     keinginan    konsumen    akan produk    tegel  yang   diproduksi    sehingga    dapat   diambil   sebagai   segmentasi    pasar,   serta mengintegrasikan     seluruh   keinginan   konsumen   kedalam   satu  produk.   Manfaat   penelitian ini   memberikan     informasi     tentang    kebutuhan    yang   diharapkan     oleh   sebagian     besar konsumen    dan  menentukan    tingkat   kepentingan    relatif   dari  atribut-atribut     pada   proses pemilihan    yang   dilakukan.    Me/ode   pengumpulan     data   dengan    observasi    ke  lapangan, wawancara,    kuesioncr,    dengan  jumlah    responden   sebanyak    40  orang  dan  diuji  dengan uji  Validitas   dan   Reliabilitas.     Implemen  tasi     analisis    conjoint    dengan   sofware    SPSS Berdasarkan     perhitungan     yang      dilakukan    dengan    analisis    conjoint    diperoleh     hasil responden     menganggap     bahwa    tege!   yang    diinginkan    paling    disukai    karena   faktor bentuk.   Adapun   faktor    bentuk   lege!  28.28%  (dengan   subfaktor    lebar   75% dan  standar 25%),  corak  24.88% (dengan   sufaktor   motif   70% dan  polos   30%), faktor   harga   24.68 % (dengan   subfaktor   murah   40%,   sedang   55%,  mahal  5%), dan  terakhir   adalah   ketebalan 22.17  % (dengan   sufaktor   teba!    63%,   medium   30%,  dan  tipis   7%). Dengan   demikian produk   lege! yang  diproduksi   mempunyai    spesifikasi   yang  standar   lebar  30x30  em,  corak yang   bermotif,   tebal  2 em, dan  mempunyai   kisaran  harga  p.  13.000  -  Rp.  J 5.000/m3

Abstract

Community development (Comdev) is company’s obligation and responsibility to the community. Advancing the community towards an independent one and preserving the environment through CSR also contribute towards building a corporate’s reputation. Proper is an award granted by the Ministry of Environment, while PROPER Emas (Gold Proper) is the highest-rank award with a significant impact on the company’s reputation. Community development programs are essential in achieving PROPER Emas. This research selects a community development (comdev) program suitable to the criteria in oil distribution company using the AHP Expert Choice method, so that the corporate obtains recommendations and a framework to be used for the comdev program. A superior program is necessity for the PROPER Emas judgement, and this research recommends community development activities to be featured as the superior program. This study concludes that the suggested top program to be carried out by fuel oil distribution companyis the eco-friendly waste bank as a first priority, and the river bank forest program as the second. This research expects to feed into the corporate’s CSR programs towards achieving gold proper.

Abstract

This paper develops job shop production scheduling using Non Delay algorithm through forward and backward-forward algorithm to minimize total earliness and tardiness costs. Backward approach has some disadvantages, such as, if the job is scheduled in backward, there is a possibility that the infeasible situation occurs, in which the job is scheduled at t0. This paper used hypothetic data generated randomly. This job shop scheduling algorithm development was validated using LINDO software to check the effectiveness heuristic method, compared with the optimation method. The validation proves that the result of backward-forward scheduling method is better than the result of forward scheduling method.

Abstract

Most wheelchairs circulating in Indonesian market are imported from China at affordable prices, but do not fufill the ISO 7176 series standards. SNI 09-4663-1998 about wheelchair is one of medical devices standard. The standard is considered do not covers the quality and user safety, while wheelchair technology is transform rapidly. Mapping and analyzing gap between stakeholder need and SNI 09-4663-1998 is expected to be input of standard review to improve the competitiveness of products. This research using the Zachman Framework approach following FACTS steps. Data collection uses the observation, in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussion. Data analysis using Inter Rater Reliability (IRR) which to measure the level of agreement of respondents. The results showed that stakeholder technical needs included 7 parameters: stability, maneuverability, mobility, dimensions, strength, durability, and product information. SNI 09-4663-1998 only includes the product strength parameters through a drop test so that the standard needs to be reviewed.
