Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningakatan kemampuanmenulis cerita dengan metode sugesti imajinasi melaui media pergelaranwayang pada siswa kelas IX G SMP N 2 Gatak tahun pelajaran 20014-2015, serta untuk meningkatkan kecintaan siswa tehadap keterampilanmenulis cerita dengan metode sugesti imajinasi melalui pergelaran wayangpada siswa SMP N 2 Gatak. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain PenulisanTindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilakukan dengan dua siklus, yaitu siklusI dan siklus II. Pada tiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan,tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi.Hasi penelitian ini diperoleh bahwapembelajaran menulis cerita dengan metode sugesti imajinasi melalui mediapergelaran wayang mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerita padasiswa kelas IX G SMP N 2 Gatak. Hasil tes yang ditulis pada prasiklusmencapai rata-rata 60% dan prosentasi ketuntasan (≥70) kelas 40%. Hasiltes pada siklus I, rata-rata meningkat 76 dan prosentasi ketuntasan 85%,atau meningkat 60%. Pada siklus II, diperoleh hasil yang jauh lebih baik.Nilai rata-rata kelas yang diperoleh mencapai 81, ketuntasan kelas mencapai100%. Hasil nontes pada siklus I dan siklus II diperoleh bahwa sebagian besarsiswa senang dan tertarik pada media pergelaran wayang tersebut. Manfaatyang diperoleh guru diharapkan semakin meningkatkan semangat mengajar.Guru semakin mempersiapkan diri dalam proses pembelajaran, kualitas ilmupengetahuan guru semakin meningkat, guru semakin gemar meneliti, gurusemakin berani untuk mengambil resiko strategi maupun pembelajaran yangdirasa tepat (cukup baik) untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang muncul sehariharidi kelas. Manfaat bagi sekolah diharapkan dapat masukan tentang carapenelitian tindakan kelas, bila situasi PTK dapat berkembang, maka akanmuncul budaya meneliti dilingkungan sekolah, serta meningkatkan prestasisekolah. Menulis adalah merupakan salah satu aspek dari empat aspekberbahasa yaitu membaca, mendengarkan, berbicara dan menulis. Kegiatanmenulis merupakan bagian dalam pembelajaran dibangku sekolah. Menulismembutuhkan pengalaman, waktu, kesempatan dan latihan keterampilanmenulis.Kata kunci : menulis cerita, metode sugesti imajinasi, media wayang

Abstract

This study aims at investigating the presence of correlation between comprehension of language elements and attitude towards Indonesian language with scientific paper writing competence. This research was conducted on the students of MIPA-FKIP UNS from July to November 2015 by employing survey method as a tool of correlational study. The population included all students of PMIPA-FKIP UNS attending Indonesian language course and the research samples were 70 students, gathered using cluster random sampling technique. The research data were collected with composition test of scientific paper writing, test of comprehension of language elements and questionnaires on attitude towards Indonesian language. Afterwards, the data were statistically analyzed using simple and multiple regression analyses and correlation analysis. The researchresults indicate that 1) there is a positive and significant correlation between comprehension of language elements and scientific paper writing competence; 2) there is a positive and significant correlation between attitude towards Indonesian language and scientific paper writing competence; and 3) there is a positive and significant correlation between comprehension of language el ements and attitude towards Indonesian language along with scientific paper writing competence.

Abstract

The discourse of ritual may be one of the clearest and most fundamental mani- festations of language in its ecological setting. It simultaneously manifests and re- creates the three dynamic systems of sociality—communication, culture, and com- munity. In this paper we examine the language in betungkal, a traditional anoint- ing ceremony of West Kalimantan. The language is characterized by complex pat- terning, showing by both constant repetition and variation, and thus demonstrates the fundamental processes of predictability and creativity by which every form of linguistic communication operates. It is a paradigmatic example of how language is taught and reinforced, from discourse as embedded in the environment, to a community’s members of whatever age. At the same time it inevitably teaches and reinforces the community’s identity and its cultural values and practices. Key words: ecological approach, anointing, ritual art, and betungkal.

Abstract

Verba proses tipe kejadian merupakan bagian dari verba proses yang mengungkapkan kejadian tidak bergerak. Verba kejadian memiliki komponen dan struktur semantis tertentu yang membedakannya dengan verba tindakan dan verba keadaan. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan komponen dan struktur semantik verba kejadian dalam bahasa Jawa (BJ). Penelitian ini menggunakan ancangan Metabahasa Semantik Alami (MSA), yaitu teori semantik yang menggunakan perangkat makna asali, yang telah dikembangkan pertaman kali oleh Wiezbicka. Data yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini meliputi data tulis dan data lisan, yang diperoleh dari penutur asli BJ dan majalah BJ. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa verba kejadian memiliki beberapa komponen semantik, yakni: [+dinamis], [-kesengajaan], [+/kepungtualan], [+/-telik], [-kinesis], dan [gerakan]. Verba kejadian ini dibentuk dengan makna asali TERJADI dan MELAKUKAN. Dengan perangkat makna asali yang tertuang dalam sintaksis MSA, eksplikasi dari verba kejadian BJ dapat dijelaskan dengan tuntas.Kata Kunci : verba proses tipe kejadian, bahasa Jawa, Metabahasa Semantik Alami

Abstract

This study is specifically focused on the student final project abstract based on genre analysis which covers the study of the generic structure and the linguistic features. The statements of the study are: (1). How do the students of English Education Department of IKIP PGRI Semarang realize the generic structure in their final project abstracts (2). How do they realize the linguistic features in their final project abstracts, and (3). What is the contribution of the result of the study to the English Education Program of IKIP PGRI Semarang. The main purpose of this study is to find out the generic structure and linguistic features of the final project abstracts and analyze the contribution of this study to the English Department. This study applies the descriptive qualitative method. The object of this study is the final project abstracts written by English Education Department students of ‘IKIP PGRI Semarang’. The total of 10 final projects formed the data of this study. The data of the study were analyzed using the genre analysis approach. The first step of data analysis was identifying the Moves which was done by using Linguistic evidence and understanding the texts. The finding shows that only some of the final project abstracts made by the students of IKIP PGRI applied the five Moves. It is found that two Moves are applied in all abstracts, they are Purpose and Method Moves (100%). Situating the research is used in five abstracts (50%). Meanwhile the third move that is the Result Move used in eight abstracts (80%). The Conclusion Move found in five abstracts (50%). The result of the analysis showed that two personal pronouns were found in the final project abstracts. Personal pronouns such as ‘the writer’ and ‘the researcher’ were found in all of the abstracts. Personal pronoun ‘she’ was found in one abstract. Finally, there are only five expressions of hedges that are used in the final project abstracts, they are modal auxiliary verbs, adjectival, adverbial, nominal and Approximators of degree. The suggestions toward this study are (1) The English lecturers should introduce how to create a meaningful text, particularly the abstract as the representation of the research report in good structure for the students based on the theory of genre. (2) The lecturers should improve the teaching and learning process relating to the improvement of academic writing, in this case lecturers who in charge of teaching academic writing. (3) The final project supervisors should put a high concern of genre to be applied in writing the abstract of the final project during the supervision. (4) The English Education department should provide a precise guideline for final project writing.Key words: genre, final project, abstract.

Abstract

As people of the diaspora, most Black British writers have long been troubledand fascinated by the ideas of ‘home’ and ‘identity.’ A lot of their works present asense of not belonging anywhere and a quest for a new kind of identity not limitedto national boundaries. Such issues are portrayed most clearly in Buchi Emecheta’snovel, Kehinde, where the protagonist’s conception of ‘home’ and ‘identity’ is disruptedbetween Nigerian and British and how she ends up creating a new and morefluid identity for herself.

Abstract

This research discusses the dialectology of Malay used by the people in the coastal area of Bengkayang. Particulary those who live in the downstream area of the river. Malay has been used by a great number of people who reside in the coastal area. This research employs quantitative as well as qualitative research method. The data are collected trought the use of in-depth interview method and elicitation technique by directly showing the picture, pointing the reeal objects, or explaining the intended activities. The synchronic method is used to analyze the dialectology of Malay, and the diachronic comparative method is used to help with the analysis of the language reconstruction. The dialectometry is used to figure the percentage of lexicon differences between the reseaech area. The top down reconstruction technicque serves as the way ti analize the data to find the retention and innovation forms. The lexicon differences in different areas are calculated by applying the triangular or poligones de thiessen. The result of the data analysis area 1-2, 1-3, 2-3, 2-4, 3-4 hold under 21% lexicon differences with indicates that they share the same and not different. In the areas whwre the research is conducted, some the relic forms of the proto-language are still found, as well as the innovation forms and the borrowing.

Abstract

Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) jenis teks dalam buku siswa Bahasa Indonesia Ekspresi Diri dan Akademi SMA kelas X, (2) tema teks dalam buku siswa Bahasa Indonesia Ekspresi Diri dan Akademi SMA kelas X, (3) relevansi jenis teks dalam buku siswa Bahasa Indonesia Ekspresi Diri dan Akademi SMA kelas X dengan Kurikulum 2013, dan (4) relevansi tema teks dalam buku siswa Bahasa Indonesia Ekspresi Diri dan Akademi SMA kelas X dengan Kurikulum 2013. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, kalimat, dan paragraf yang terdapat dalam buku siswa. Kemudian, sumber data penelitian ini adalah buku siswa berjudul Bahasa Indonesia Ekspresi Diri dan Akademi, untuk SMA Kelas X edisi Revisi 2014. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pustaka dan teknik simak- catat. Keabsahan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, teknik triangulasi teori. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik pembacaan semiotik dan analisis komparatif. Hasil penelitian ini antara lain: (1) ditemukan 9 jenis teks yaitu, teks laporan, teks laporan informatif, teks puisi, teks pantun, teks perintah/instruksi, teks panduan, teks eksposisi, teks anekdot, dan teks negosiasi, (2) ditemukan 6 tema teks yaitu, tema alam semesta, sikap warga negara yang baik, seni berpendapat dalam forum ekonomi dan politik, kritik sosial melalui humor, seni bernegosiasi dalam wirausaha, dan pemanfaatan teks dalam kehidupan nyata, (3) terdapat 7 jenis teks yang relevan dengan Kurikulum 2013 yaitu, jenis teks laporan, teks laporan informatif, teks panduan, teks perintah, teks eksposisi, teks anekdot, dan teks negosiasi. Kemudian ada 2 jenis teks yang tidak relevan dengan Kurikulum 2013 yaitu, jenis teks puisi dan teks pantun. (4) Ditemukan enam tema teks dalam buku siswa Bahasa Indonesia kelas X yang seluruhnya dinyatakan relevan dengan Kurikulum 2013 yaitu, tema alam semesta, sikap warga negara yang baik, seni berpendapat dalam forum ekonomi dan politik, kritik sosial melalui humor, seni bernegosiasi dalam wirausaha, dan pemanfaatan teks dalam kehidupan nyata.  Kata kunci: jenis teks, tema teks, buku siswa, Kurikulum 2013

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan berbagai genre sastra Jawa karya dan produk para wali; (2) mengungkapkan nilai-nilai keutamaan hidup yang dapat memerkaya khazanah batin pembaca. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Strategi penelitiannya menggunakan studi kasus terpancang (embedded research and case study). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pustaka, simak dan catat. Validasi data dilakukan dengan trianggulasi (sumber) data. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode pembacaan Semiotik meliputi pembacaan heuristik dan hermeneutik. Hasil penelitiannya adalah: (1) sastra Jawa karya dan produk para Wali Sanga dikemas dalam sastra suluk, pewayangan, tembang macapat dan lagu-lagu dolanan; (2) Karya sastra para Wali Sanga nilai-nilai yang bermanfaat dalam memberikan berbagai ajaran keutamaan hidup agar menjadi manusia utama, berbudi pekerti luhur (akhlaqul karimah), unggul, wikan sangkan paran dan dapat mencapai kesempurnaan hidup. Ringkas, karya sastra para Wali Sanga mengandung mutiara terpendam dan lautan kekayaan nilai budaya Jawa yang bernafaskan Islam dan dapat menambah khasanah perkembangan kesusastraan Jawa yang adiluhung. Kata Kunci: sastra Jawa, produk Wali Sanga, nilai keutamaan hidup.

Abstract

The learning of literature in secondary, high, or vocational schools seems less appreciative. The main reason lies in the competency of literature teachers in ap- preciating literature beside the teaching for the target of curriculum and the Na- tional Grade Evaluation. The problem is show is the learning of literature viewed from Curriculum-Based-Competency (CBC) ? Which approach is appropriate for the appreciative learning of literature? A recreation-response-and-redescription model of learning literature using reception approach can be used as an alternative to realize a more appreciative learning of literature becauase it is in line with the CBC paradigm in stressing on the empowerment of students’ competency. To make such an empowering concrete, literature teachers may enhance their competency and commit on improving literary appreciation within their process of teaching and learning literature. In short, a change for a new paradigm for literature teach- ers is needed in the course of literature learning to have the spirit of CBC. Key words:   Pembelajaran Sastra Apresiatif, rekreasi-responsi-redeskeripsi, KBK atauCBC.  Â
