Abstract

Teacher with several competencies is important to develop cognitive affective and psychomotor domain. There are several differents of characteristic and study style in learning, so teacher should be adapt the teaching in  accordance with students need. There are three teaching styles, authoritarian, laissez faire and democratic style. The democratic style is a good ones  to develop all the competence that students have.Key Word: teacher style, teaching-learning process

Abstract

Madrasah merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan formal yang ada di Indonesia, selain sekolah umum dan juga pesantren. Di antara ketiga lembaga pendidikan tersebut, madrasah memiliki ciri yang khas yang tampaknya menganut paham konvergensi dengan menggabungkan dua model pendidikan lainnya, yaitu model pendidikan umum dan pendidikan pesantren. Setidaknya hal itu terlihat dari komposisi muatan materi pelajaran yang diajarkan di madrasah.

Abstract

Islamic education’s main objective is to build perfect human beings. To achieve this objective certain methods are required. One of them is the method of targhib and tarhib. In the process of education, targhib and tarhib are viewed as one of effective ways in creating collective awareness of students of what they have done. This paper seeks to understand the method of targhib and tarhib through understanding the method of the Prophet Muhammad as contained in his hadiths (sayings) as can be found in the Shahih Bukhari Collection. The Bukhari collection is one of the most authentic hadiths collections. This will be aided by understanding the socio-historical context and juxtaposed with the Quranic verses and other hadiths as well as other disciplines. The paper argues that the method of targhib and tarhib is a Quranic method that has implication in this world and in the hereafter.

Abstract

This article discusses the challenges of developing curriculum components in 21st century universities by looking at four core components of curriculum namely objectives, content, processes and evaluation. The article argues that these four components of curriculum are important to be developed to respond to developmental issues and innovations in the higher education curriculum. It further argues that higher education in the 21st century is increasingly demanded to continue to innovate, especially in formulating the objectives, content, process and evaluation mechanism. This is important in response to the development of science and technology, community needs, and the needs of graduate users (stakeholder needs) in the 21st century. Keywords: curriculum, universities, 21th century

Abstract

Islamic education is an effort to introduce a man to his God, to be more aware of the basic potentials and tasks in this world. This study concludes that Islamic education is essentially the source, the basis and the purpose of the God itself. God becomes the focal point of all the development of Islamic education. However, God as a center of Islamic education is often interpreted as a Theocentric belief, which neglects the humanity, so Islamic education only produces humans who are pious in private (hablum min Allah) but weak in social piety. So, there must be a comprehension of anthropocentrism, by which the unity of God has implications for the awareness of human values. This way, Islamic education, in the end, will give birth to humans who are pious privately and socially.Keywords: God, philosophy, Islamic education
