Abstract

Beberapa kelompok mikroba yang hidup dalam cairan kantung tumbuhan Nepenthes dapat memberikan peranan penting bagi tumbuhan Nepenthes dalam mempertahankan kelangsungan hidup. Beberapa bakteri bersimbiosis dengan tumbuhan Nepenthes dalam memperoleh nutrisi untuk kebutuhan hidup. Keberadaan bakteri pada suatu medium dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, begitu juga dengan bakteri yang terdapat dalam cairan kantung. Nepenthes ampullariamerupakan salah satu jenis Nepenthes yang hidup di daerah    beberapa daerah di Sumatera Barat. Namun belum ada laporan yang menjelaskan tentang kondisi isolat bakteri yang terdapat dalam cairannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah isolat bakteri yang terdapat pada beberapa cairan kantung N. ampullaria. Cairan kantung N. ampularia dikoleksi pada daerah Bukik Rangkak Cagar Alam Lembah Harau Sumatera Barat. Cairan kantung diperoleh melalui survey lansung ke hutan Bukik Rangkak. Proses isolasi bakteri pada cairan kantung dilakukan dengan metoda spear plate. Pengamatan koloni dilakukan untuk tiap isolat bakteri yang tumbuh dari masing-masing biakan dan dilajutkan dengan proses pemurnian. Berdasarkan hasil isolasi bakteri pada cairan kantung N. ampullaria didapatkan 36 isolat bakteri yang tersebar pada cairan kantung dengan kondisi berbeda. Jumlah bakteri yang terdapat dalam cairan kantung tumbuhan Nepenthes ampullaria tidak jauh berbeda untuk tiap kantungnya. Hasil ini menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan jumlah isolat yang signifikan meskipun cairan berasal dari kantung dengan kondisi yang berbeda-beda.

Abstract

Jamur kuping (Auricularia auricula J.) merupakan tanaman yang memiliki banyak manfaat, digunakan sebagai konsumsi bahan, jamur juga bermanfaat untuk mengobati berbagai macam penyakit. Kebutuhan dan manfaat yang jamur begitu besar membuat banyak orang ingin mengolah, tetapi dalam budidaya ada beberapa kendala, seperti kurangnya ketersediaan serbuk gergaji kayu jati sebagai media tumbuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek gabungan dari media pada pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jamur (Auricularia auricula J.). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jl. Sudirman, Kelurahan Payolinyam Tigo Koto di Baruah, Kecamatan Payakumbuh Utara. dari Mei hingga Juli 2016. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL), dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Setiap pengobatan A (kontrol), B (serbuk gergaji 750g, coco 200g, sekam 250g), C (serbuk gergaji 850g, coco 150g, sekam 200g), D (serbuk gergaji 950g, coco 100g, sekam 150g), E (serbuk gergaji 1050g, 50g sabut kelapa, sekam padi 100g). Pengamatan dilakukan pada jumlah buah tubuh per baglog, dan berat basah jamur. Hasil penelitian dari analisis menggunakan hasil F test.Menunjukkan pemberian kombinasi pengaruh media tanam pada jumlah badan buah dengan Fhitung 11,77>Ftabel 4,89 (1%), dan tanaman jamur berat segar dengan F¬hitung 6,587> 4,89 Ftabel (1%). Dari hasil uji Fhitung menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dapat dibuktikan bahwa pemberian kombinasi beberapa media terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi jamur (Auricularia auricula J.).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab kesulitan belajar pada mata pelajaran IPA (Biologi). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan angket dan wawancara. Penelitian ini di lakukan pada siswa kelas VII MTsS PGAI Padang Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa faktor yang menjadi penyebab kesulitan belajar Biologi siswa yaitu 45% siswa sulit belajar karena dari faktor diri sendiri, faktor dari lingkungan sekolah 33% dengan kategori rendah, faktor keluarga 70% (dengan kategori tinggi), faktor dari lingkungan masyarakat 63% (dengan kategori tinggi).

Abstract

Penelitian tentang deskripsi ular di lingkungan universitas andalas Limau manih telah dilakukan mulai April 2009 sampai Maret 2010. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode dan mengumpulkan informasi dari masyarakatdan survei langsung dari masyarakat selanjutknya dilakukan pengukuran pengukuran morfometrik dan deskripsi spesimen. Pada penelitian ini juga dituliskan deskripsi berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya oleh peneliti lain. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan 20 spesies dan jumlah 40 individu ular yang terdiri dari satu subordo yaitu Serpentes serta 5 familia yaitu Colubridae (15 specieses): Ahaetulla prasina prasina (Boie, 1827), Boiga Cynodon (Boie, 1827), Chrysopelea paradisi paradisi Boie, 1827, Dendrelaphis caudolineatus caudolineatus (Gray, 1834), Dendrelaphis formosus (Boie, 1827), Dendrelaphis pictus (Gmelin, 1789), Gonyosoma oxycephalum (Boie, 1827), Liopeltis tricolor (Schlegel, 1837), Lycodon subscinctus subscinctus (Boie, 1827), Oligodon octolineatus (Schneider, 1801), Opisthotrophis rugosus (van Lidth de Jeude, 1890,, Pseudorabdion eiselti (Cantor, 1847), Rabdophis chrysargos (Schlegel, 1837), Xenelaphis hexagonotus (Cantor, 1847), Xenochrophis trianguligerus (Boie, 1827); Elapidae (two specieses): Maticora bivirgata flaviceps (Cantor, 1839), Naja sumatrana Mȕller, 1887; Pythonidae (satu species): Python reticulatus (Schneider, 1801); Viperidae (one species); Tropidolaemus wagleri Wagler, 1830; Xenopeltidae (satu species): Xenopeltis unicolor Boie, 1827.

Abstract

One of the causes of student learning outcomes are less is that evaluation tools used are too difficult. This study aims to provide information about the validity, reliability, index of difficulties, and differentiation of the matter of test. The type of this research is descriptive research. Based on the results of the analysis of the validity of the question of daily test of environmental change material, obtained validity value with the criteria of validity is very high, the reliability value with the criteria of reliability is very high, the problem of trouble index analysis there are 6 questions including difficult question, 64 problem including moderate, and 13 problem including easy, with criteria of index of difficulty of problem is on medium criterion, result of different power about 4 problem with bad criterion once, 24 questions with poor criteria, 46 questions with moderate criteria and 9 questions with good criteria. It can be concluded from the result of daily item test analysis on the 1st years senior high school in Padang City Environmental Change material in Padang City Lesson Year 2016/2017 in terms of validity, reliability, difficulty index has show the criteria of a good question, but the question of different potency does not show the criteria of a good question.

Abstract

There is sand excavation activity by using the machine can destruct the river substrate which effect to the life of the benth: insecta larvae would be hampered. The presence of benth is strongly influenced by the very significant physical-chemical and biological conditions of water to determine the type and density of benth populations in the waters. This study aims to determine the composition of benth: insects larvae in one of the rivers in Indonesia. This research is a case survey research. Sampling is done by setting three research stations and each station has three points of observation. Sampling at three points of observation was done twice. The results showed that the composition of benth found consisted of 3 classes, 9 orders, 14 families and 14 genera, benth diversity index ranged from 0.8691-1.7200, the physical condition of the waters under normal conditions is temperature 23-25oC, degree of acidity (pH) range between 5,93-66, dissolved oxygen (DO) 3,26-5,37 mg/L, while the aquatic chemical condition is not in normal condition is suspended solids content 19-112 mg/L

Abstract

This study aims to improve the teaching and learning activities and learning outcomes of student second years senior high school at class X1 SMA with direct instruction models. This research is classroom action research (CAR) with a descriptive method that used two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages as follows: planning phase, implementation phase, observation phase and reflection phase. Subjects researchers are students of second years senior high school at class X1 SMA. Data collection techniques used were observation and tests. The instrument of research consisted of observation sheets and test sheets. Results of the analysis of observation data by learning cycle 1 obtained an average score of 46,6 (good) cycle 2 increased to 80 (excellent). In cycle 1 the average value is 66.4 with of the percentage grade 21,42 % (minimum criteria of mastery learning is not reached), in cycle 2 increased with the average value of 81,07 and percentage grade is 89,28 % (minimum criteria of mastery learning is achieved). Can be concluded that the direct instructional model can improve the students learning activities and learning outcomes of biology courses of students in the second years senior high school at class X1 SMA.

Abstract

Etnofarmakologi is a study that use of plants as medicine by the people who inhabit a particular territory. Some people in Indonesia still use herbs as medicine traditionally, as well as the communities living around the mangrove forests. One of the is Rhizophoraceae, This plant is generally the main constituent of plant mangroves. This study aimed to determine the relative utilization Rhizophoraceae as medicinal plants in the mangrove forest. The results of this research, there are three species of the family Rhozophoraceae were used as a medicinal plant, that are Rhizophora apiculata, Ceriop tagal dan Bruguiera gymnorrizha. Plants are used for cold, treatment in the postpartum period of healing, ulcers and stomach pain. Part of plant that used are the leaves, flowers, fruit and bark. These herbs are processed by boiling to drink and there are mashed to rub.

Abstract

 Teaching materials are part of all forms of written materials used to help the teachers in carrying out learning activities. A professional teacher is also required to produce teaching materials. Based on the observation, the teachers only utilize teaching materials in the form of a worksheet (LKS). LKS used for teaching is not in accordance with the curriculum needed and many images are not clearly visible. Thus, it has been developed teaching material in form of Student Worksheet (LKS) on Living Organizational System topic that has done validity test with validation result is 85.27% (criterion is very valid). For next, research to test the practicality which is a continued of the development stage. This research is a research development (Research and Development) with four D models. Data obtained are analyzed by descriptive analysis. From the result of the research, the value of practicality from teachers is 94,94% (very practical) and from a student is 87,01% (very practical). Then it can be concluded LKS based on learning cycle 5-e approach on Living Organization System topic developed is very practical.

Abstract

The thermo-alkaliphilic (the bacteria can live and grow in hot environment was famous as termophilic bacteria with temperature around 45o-50o with high pH that was 8,4-9,5) which produced cellulose enzyme has been product commercial by some global industry and many of them was used in food, woof, fuel, paper industry, and textile. The purpose of this research was to get thermo-alkaliphilic  bacteria isolate and know the activity of thermo-alkaliphilic bacteria qualitatively. The sample taken of hot spring in 3 points with purposive method based on pH. First hot spring (S1) 48oC with pH 8,7, second (S2) 490C with pH 8,6, third (S3) 50oC with pH 8,5. The research procedure was preparation (sterilization tools and medium, medium made NA, and Cellulosic selective, making kultur stock), puring the bacteria, cellulosic testing activity and research observation. The result was found 10 thermo-alkaliphilic bacteria isolate which able to live in 50oC and 5 isolates bacteria was able to degradation CMC. S2.2 isolate has the biggesst cellulosic index was 2,90 mm and S3.1 isolate has smallest cellulosic index was 0,52 mm
