The phenomenon of coastal community life is always characterized by poverty and helplessness. The fishing community as a relatively dominant feature of the coastal community is often overwhelmed by unstable economic problems. This situation is very fantastic and contradictory, because the natural conditions that have the potential and abundant natural resources. The focus of this research is on the role of women who have a role as housewife and also as manager and marketing of catch fish from men. This study uses qualitative analysis which aims to reveal the problems that exist as detailed as possible on the condition of young coastal women with data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation. The result of this research is the ability and role of young woman is still low, just as fish seller only without doing any recondition again also not accommodate potential area that can be cultivated become income source, impressed not creative managing potency, have pragmatic thinking and minimal skill and leads to consumptive behavior. Cultures and values built across generations of women emphasize the role of women in support of husbands but have not developed logical mechanization that creativity, knowledge and expertise are essential to building a prosperous family. The systems and networks of existing programs related to the development of women are numerous but have no coherence to the development goals and their usefulness. Here it is necessary to sharpen all systems and values so that dynamic changes are needed to change the existing conditions. Keywords: culture, poverty, young women, value system.

This study discusses the factors that determine the comfort of domestic workers in Bengkulu City's Betungan Housing. The aim to describe the behavior of the employer's family, wages, work activities and overview of social security to domestic workers working comfort. The research method used was a qualitative approach survey with data collection techniques of observation and interviews with informants of domestic workers residing in the RT. 12 PerumnasBetungan. The results obtained in the form of: (1) Employers in PerumnasBetungan have good behavior towards domestic workers, (2) The level of wages received by domestic workers in PerumnasBetungan is low between Rp. 500,000. up to Rp. 1,000,000, (3) Household activities carried out by domestic workers in PerumnasBetungan caring for children, cooking, washing, ironing and sweeping the house, (4) Social security received in the form of holiday bonuses, clothes and food. Indonesia has nations and culture scattered around 17,000 ranges island, starting from sabang to the west, to marauke to the east irian jaya.Life the people in indonesia has the pattern formed based on the influence of local culture place they live.This means culture and style community life in indonesia varies.One of the influential in the life of people will examined is a culture and the community mores their kuta, kabupaten ciamis, west java. Their customary kuta shows a pattern spread out and did not feel certain .This research aims to review the application of local cultural factors in the life of the indigenous people of kampung kuta . The methodology that was used is mixed methods , with a design research used in this research was sequential exploratory designs .The data collection was done by interviews , observation and spreading kampung kuta watchful such research to the community. Results or research is the their kuta always apply cultural factors and customstheir kuta in her life, starting with the smallest to great things though because people would hold fast in culture pamali. Media literacy in the Millennial generation in the digital era is still not well implemented. We still see and read a lot of information that is still not clear the truth on social media. This research was conducted to see how media literacy in the Millennial generation in the digital era, especially in social media. Research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, by analyzing theories and analyzing based on phenomena that occur so that a comprehensive understanding of the application of media literacy in Millennials in the digital age is obtained. The results of the study revealed, first the literacy of the pause in the digital age is still not well implemented in society even though they are already adept at using digital devices. This bias can be seen that there is still a lot of information found that the truth is not yet distributed in social media by Millennials. Second, the Millennial generation is the term for the generation born in the 1980 to 2000 range. Those who are said to be the Millennial generation are the generation who are currently aged 19 to 40 years, or school age to productive / worker age. Third, Millennial generation interaction with social media in the digital era is very intense. This generation is very ska surfing on social media to share information, entertainment, highlight their existence, mingle with the community in chat groups. Fourth, the development of media literacy in the Millennial generation in the digital era is still not as expected. Millennials do not have good knowledge about media literacy, so there are still many violations in social media, especially in terms of filtering and disseminating information to the public. This research investigates the socio-cultural meaning of child labour in Aceh Province, Indonesia. Child labour is illegal in Aceh. However, there is no enforcement of laws and regulations to prevent child labour from occurring and this daily phenomenon is escalating at an alarming rate. Furthermore, this research presents some complexities and paradoxes. While, the general assumption is that poverty is the main cause of child labour; however, this study found that children who are less poor are also working. Most of these children maintain their schooling while working. Consequently, some communities reject the impact of child labour on formal education. Many communities also see work as part of education, which teaches children responsibility, independence and self-esteem and/or pride, which represents the strong qualities of traditional Acehnese people, which has shaped the patterns and behaviours of children working in the region. The community’s perspectives and other social polemics have continued the existence of child labour in Aceh. Therefore, Although it mights be not easy for the government to take actions, it is important to consider that the reduction of child labour programs in Aceh is not merely by strengthening the implementation of laws and regulations, but also requires the understanding of community values and attitudes around the issue. This study contains the effect of the Indonesian lawyers club talk showon student political education. This research uses purposivesampling with the criteria of Communication Studies University of Bengkulu Universityclass of 2015-2017 who watched the talk show "Indonesia LawyersClub ". Data collection in this study used a questionnaire and a studyliterature and other references relating to research problems.Data analysis in this study used simple regression analysiswith the result that Y = 10.215 + 0.881x with the coefficient of determination (R2)by 37%. The level of political education is influenced by Indonesian Lawyers' broadcastsClub by 37% and the remaining 63% is influenced by other variablesnot researched. Meanwhile t count 5.836> 2.00172 with a significant level0,000 <α = 0.05 (5%). Based on the statistical calculations obtained, thenThe hypothesis for this research is that there is an influence of the Indonesian talkshow programLawyers Club towards student political education. Then it means that Ha was acceptedand H0 is rejected. Based on the results of research analysis, it can be concludedthat the Indonesian lawyers club shows affect political educationcollege student. The rise of the use of tattoos at this time is proof that the elements of cultural order and people’spattern of thought have changed especially in Bengkulu city. Tattoos ware once a sign of crime, but nows tattoos have become commonplace and even today tattoos have become a medium of art of self-expression that carries meanings of one's life journey. This study aims to determine self-expression and the meaning of tattoos as a medium of selfexpression in the tattoo userscommunity users in Bengkulu city. This research uses Charles Sanders Peirce theory and method of data analysis techniques (triangel meaning) which consists of signs, object (object), interpreters (interpretant). To convince the results of the analysis in this study, the authors chose several informants consisting of 5 informan namely 3 men and 2 women with different forms of tattoos. The results of this study prove that tattoos are symbolic art that can be a medium for someone to express themselves disappointed selfexpression, love, self-identity and others. Referring to the sign consists of qualisign that we can see in the tattoo of a rose-headed skull, the sinsignnamely tattoo scissors and a sewing machine and legisianis skull-headed pineapple tattoo. The second is an object consists of an icon that is the faces tattoo of the queens such as Queen DwiSiren, Queen Isabella I, then index the arrow tattoos and the tattoos of the faces of the two boys. Symbol is the queen’s face figure tattoo and Doraemon and Tinkerbell cartoon characters. The third interpretant consists of rhemes, namely rose tattoos and then signedare tattoo scissors and sewing machines and the last argument is all the reasons why the informant made the tattoo. Tattoos on a person's body have meanings such as meaning of the expressions of love for two boys, a birthday presents for the wife, a form of affection for the mother, disappointed the be born in the midst of a broken home family, hope of having a life like a queen and others. This study aims to examine the use of social media in the delivery of student aspiration. Using a qualitative approach to the data collection techniques performed with primary data obtained by direct observation and the observation depth interviews with informants. While it is used with the photo documentation of secondary data field notes, journals, papers, and articles online. Data analysis techniques used to gather research data that is complete, reducing the data to focus on research, data presentation and conclusion. the results are confirmed the validity of the data by using the technique of triangulation. Informants were students who use social media Facebook Ilmu komunikasi Unras for give aspirations. The results showed tlat the use of social media in the delivery of student aspirations through'a Facebook Ilmu komunikasi Unras is also a concern of students and student participation to provide a solution to the problems faced by students. Meanwhile, based on thetheory of Cyber Community mown that the formation community Facebook Ilmu komunikasi Unras due to the same status as a student member ilmu komunikasi unras and becomes a means of delivering the aspirations of students.

The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of members of the Regional House of Representatives of Central Bengkulu Regency in carrying out the supervisory function of the Regional Regulations. This research was used descriptive method with qualitative approach. The data collectionwere used interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The result of the research shows that the performance of members of DPRD of Central Bengkulu Regency in carrying out the supervisory function of the regional Regulation through the established mechanism that is through work meeting, go down to the field area for checking the monitoring objects , and synchronize the planning documents and the implementation documents. Supervision conducted by members of DPRD of Central Bengkulu Regency implemented after the exit policy. The form of supervision of the Regional Regulation conducted by members of DPRD of Central Bengkulu Regency is directly monitoring the spaciousness, listening to community input, and hearing together to carry out the supervisory function of the existing Regional Regulation. Obstacles faced by DPRD members in carrying out supervisory functions are topography of Central Bengkulu that is difficult to reach, technical constraints, lack of transparency, and openness of Local Government.

This study aims to determine the intercultural communication in Kedurai Agung ritual atTaba Tembilang Village Argamakmur District North Bengkulu. The data collection method used is observation, interview, and documentation. The theory used in this study is the theory according to Deddy Mulyana about intercultural communication that has a personal function and social function. Social function consists of social identity, declaring social integration, and adding knowledge. Social function consists of supervisory function, bridging function, socialization and entertaining.The results showed that intercultural communication express social identity can be viewed from the origin of tribes, religions, and different cultures. Social integration accepts the differences between each of the existing tribes, and appreciates each other in spite of different tribes. Adding knowledge to each other learns the values of culture in Kedurai Agung ritual.The social function of supervision supervises each other. Different cultures are a bridge over the differences to unite hospitalitywith people of different tribes and cultures. To socialize the cultural values in this village is very good because they realize the important of study the existing cultures. Intercultural entertainment is clearly visible from the information obtained because Kedurai Agung ritual held in Taba Tembilang village is held only once a year and although many different tribes have a sense of caring and mutual respect for others.
