Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of infrastructure, human resources, work environment, motivation, standard operating procedures, and work discipline both individually and collectively on the work effectiveness of employees at the Class IIB Muara Enim Correctional Institution. The research applies a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to respondents as the primary data collection method. Data quality was examined through validity, reliability, and normality tests, while the analysis was conducted using both descriptive and inferential statistics, including multiple regression analysis, partial (t-test), simultaneous (F-test), and the coefficient of determination (R²). The findings indicate that each independent variable namely infrastructure, human resources, work environment, motivation, standard operating procedures, and work discipline has a positive and significant influence on employee work effectiveness. Furthermore, when tested simultaneously, these variables collectively demonstrate a strong and significant impact on the overall work effectiveness of employees at the Class IIB Muara Enim Correctional Institution.

Abstract

The use of QRIS by MSMEs in Palu City is still suboptimal, so it is important to identify factors that hinder its utilization. This study aims to analyze digital literacy barriers, technological infrastructure barriers, and risk perception barriers on QRIS adoption rates. A quantitative approach was used, involving 75 respondents obtained through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using linear regression with SPSS.The results showed that only risk perception barriers significantly influenced QRIS adoption rates, while digital literacy and technological infrastructure barriers showed no significant impact. An R2 value of 0.149 indicates that the model only explains a small portion of the variation in QRIS usage. This finding confirms that digital security and trust remain key factors for MSMEs adopting QRIS. Consequently, improving digital security literacy and strengthening data protection need to be prioritized by local governments and Bank Indonesia to encourage wider QRIS adoption.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT Kimia Farma Plant Banjaran, a pharmaceutical manufacturer producing various types of medicines. The relatively high frequency of machine failures has become a serious issue that disrupts the production process and reduces productivity. Currently, the company employs a System Corrective and Planned Maintenance method carried out once a month depending on the type of machine. However, this approach is less effective, as it still results in high downtime, unexpected maintenance costs, and potential secondary damage. This study discusses the maintenance strategy for the Blistering Machine using the Fuzzy Reliability Centered Maintenance approach. The maintenance strategy is determined based on the risk level of each machine component. Components with Very Low Risk are maintained using the Run to Failure or simple routine monitoring strategy. Low Risk components are handled through periodic Preventive Maintenance. Medium Risk components are managed using Predictive Maintenance through actual condition monitoring. Components of High Risk are managed through Condition-Based Maintenance supported by real-time data without interrupting operations. Meanwhile, components with Very High Risk require Immediate Action supported by a Failure Mode and Effect Analysis. This approach enables a more effective and efficient maintenance system that minimizes the potential for machine failures.

Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth the perceptions and experiences of employees in applying microlearning for upskilling complex skills. In this era of disruption, upskilling has become crucial, and microlearning has been widely adopted due to its flexibility. However, its effectiveness for deep competencies (not just procedural knowledge) is still not qualitatively understood. Using a qualitative case study design in a technology organization, data were collected through 17 semi-structured in-depth interviews with employees, managers, and the L&D team, then analyzed thematically. The results reveal three key findings. First, there is a dualistic perception: microlearning is praised as a just-in-time (JIT) tool, but is perceived as "superficial" for soft skills. Second, employees bear a heavy cognitive "synthesis burden" due to content fragmentation, forcing them to "stitch together" pieces of information themselves. Third, success is highly dependent on contextual factors, particularly proactive manager support and the availability of social learning interactions.

Abstract

This qualitative study aims to explore the self-branding strategies employed by experienced gig workers through the lens of Human Capital Theory and Signaling Theory. Using a multiple case study design, this research analyzes in-depth interviews to understand the life experiences of freelancers navigating a competitive digital marketplace. Thematic analysis reveals a fundamental strategic process. Findings indicate that authentic self-branding is rooted in continuous investment in human capital (substantive expertise), which is then consciously translated into credible market signals (e.g., curated portfolios and client testimonials) to reduce information asymmetry. These elements are further synthesized into a coherent personal brand narrative to communicate unique value. The success of this strategy facilitates the evolution of status from 'freelancer' to 'expert', but is accompanied by the constant burden of reputation management. The main contribution of this study is to demonstrate the interrelated and processual relationship between the two theories in practice, as well as to offer practical insights for workers in the gig economy.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the increasing intensity of e-money use among students. Although e-money provides convenience in transactions, this condition also encourages the emergence of uncontrolled consumptive behavior financially. This study observes variables such as hedonistic behavior, personal financial literacy, and intensity of e-money use. The population in this study consisted of active students of the Faculty of Economics at a private university in Palembang in 2025, with a sample size of 361 respondents. The results show that the intensity of e-money usage does not affect hedonistic behavior, and personal financial literacy also does not affect hedonistic behavior. However, personal financial literacy significantly affects the intensity of e-money usage. These findings emphasize the importance of personal financial literacy in moderating e-money usage, which can help students manage their finances more wisely despite the increasing ease of digital transactions.
