Abstract

Boarding school as one of the sub-systems of education in Indonesia, has been instrumental in educating the nation and many of them gave birth to a leader who is able to counter the society, which is controversial in the religious and moral norms. The existence of a boarding school in addition to educational institutions as well as social institutions. Boarding school grow and develop together society since centuries ago, because it was the agency receives. Despite boarding implicitly connotes as traditional Islamic educational institutions, does not mean the whole boarding covered with innovation. In line with the demands of the changing times is the boarding school itself has been trying to find a new alternative to the road opening up, so it is not surprising that since a few years ago many good boarding schools who live in cities or in villages have been changing rapidly. Changes here known as renewal, not only concerning the financial matters but rather subtansional such as goals, systems, curriculum and so on.

Abstract

This study proposed new constructs to the field of Islamic psychology. It is particularly noteworthy to articulate the views of Said Nursi in the context of Islamic psychology. Based on fundamental aims of Qur’an, it clearly shows that Tawhid (Belief in God), Nubuwwa (Awareness of Prophetic Teaching), Hashr (Belief in Resurrection), and Ibadah (Worship) as for main constructs of Quran greatly influential on a persons belief and thought.The proposed four constructs were thoroughly scrutinized to determine the possible meanings with human belief and thought. In line with chosen method, this paper applies the views of Nursi as a device for synthesizing arguments. Islamic psychology clearly indicates the Tawhid and  Nubuwwa, called shahadah, are fundamental of Islamic belief and thought and included with awareness of hereafter and doing worship. The other constructs of Hashr and Ibadah are also essential for an Islamic psychology model for understanding human personality. They were conceptually evaluated within the context of psychology, as indicatives of the concept of Islamic personality. These four constructs can be interpreted as inner experience depicting human’s emotions, desires, wishes, and intentions. Thus, they are strongly suggested to employ in newly developing Islamic personality scales.

Abstract

Culture of mutual aid is part of the social capital (social capital) who once practiced by the Indonesian people, ranging from the empire, colonialism, and the beginning of freedom to realize our goals. Mutual cooperation in the context of a mutual assistance are helping each other and community service, there are two forms of consciousness and / or coercion. Lately due to various factors impact the culture, strategy development, and the lack of good examples of cultural leaders is increasingly reduced. While on the other hand, the challenges of the Indonesian nation is not getting lighter, therefore the embodiment of efforts to revitalize or societal values in the development of a culture of mutual aid is urgent and appropriate choice.

Abstract

Study of leadership in Islam, the term used is the word caliph, imam, ulil amr and al - mulk. Understanding of each term refers to a persons ability to position itself as a leader (leader) and leadership (leadership). Big and heavy duties of a leader, it is required to it a requirement that the complex and comprehensive, covering three main requirements; (1) the physical requirements, (2) mental spiritual requirements, and (3) the terms of expertise and capabilities. Characters who have demonstrated leadership and success, and this success that needs to be used as a role model is the character of the leadership of the Prophets and Messengers, namely; Siddiq, trust, fathanah and sermons. Four characters of this leadership needs to be developed along with the times and time.Studi kepemimpinan dalam Islam, istilah yang digunakan adalah kata khalifah, imam, ulil amr dan al - mulk. Pemahaman masing-masing merujuk pada kemampuan seseorang untuk memposisikan diri sebagai pemimpin (leader) dan kepemimpinan (leadership). tugas besar dan berat dari seorang pemimpin, diperlukan untuk itu persyaratan yang kompleks dan komprehensif, meliputi tiga persyaratan utama; (1) persyaratan fisik, (2) kebutuhan spiritual mental, dan (3) persyaratan keahlian dan kemampuan. Karakter yang telah menunjukkan kepemimpinan dan keberhasilan, dan keberhasilan ini yang perlu dijadikan panutan adalah karakter kepemimpinan Nabi dan Rasul, yaitu; Siddiq, kepercayaan, fathanah dan khotbah. Empat karakter kepemimpinan ini perlu dikembangkan seiring dengan perkembangan zaman dan waktu.

Abstract

If the teacher has been able to master the material to be taught, the teacher must be able to actualize themselves. Continuous training is the answer. Both the methodology of teaching and understanding the philosophy and the accompanying paradigm. This training should be coupled with endeavors to develop the sensitivity and creativity of each teacher, to develop their own methodologies appropriate for each student. Therefore, the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) and the Ministry of Education (Kemendiknas) which is responsible for developing the professionalism and quality of teachers in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and provide an explanation about the concept of human nature in the verses of Al-Qur’an and Hadith, and the implications of human nature in family education. This condition is motivated by the essence of Islamic values ​​that highly appreciate the human dignity, especially the nature that has been brought human from birth. In addition, the family environment is the first place a child receives education. This research method using research library. Data collection is descriptive-interpretive. The results of the study in this study are (1) fitrah (human nature) as the basic human potential that has goodness and purity to receive the influence from outside to the truth, (2) the success rate of teaching value depends on the education process in the family, and (3) factors causing the problem are demands for economic fulfillment, lack of understanding of knowledge and technological developments, and weakness of values.

Abstract

This study was intended to examine the process of meaning giving of character education values by identifying the process of developing a character-based school culture, both for students, teachers, and other school stakeholders. The research is qualitative in nature with phenomenology design. The research was conducted at Islamic Elementary School (Sekolah Dasar Islam/SDI) Zumrotus Salamah, Tulungagung, East Java. The objects of this study were the values of character education and the character-based school culture. The school principal, the vice principals, the teachers, the students, the school committees, the students’ parents, and the communities around the school were involved as the subjects of the study. The data were collected by administering in-depth interview, documentation and observation techniques. The validity of data was ensured by credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability checking techniques. The data were then analyzed in interrelated stages of data display, data reduction, conclusion drawing, and data verification. The results show that the values of character education were elaborated from the trilogy of Islamic doctrines, namely; al-Iman, al-Islam, and al-Ihsan. Finally, the stages of the development of character-based school culture were started from the internalization process of Islamic moral values, the positive change of students’ views and attitudes, and the implementation of character-based traits at schools, at home, and in the daily social activities of students.

Abstract

Career counseling is a process of assistance, information services and approach to the individual/ group of individuals to be able to know and understand themselves, to know the world of work to determine the career choice, able to take career decisions and acknowledge that the decision is the most appropriate / in accordance with the situation himself associated with requirements to be practiced career. Given the importance of career problems in human life, the children need to be prepared early on and helped to plan for a brighter future, by providing education and career guidance sustainable. Schools have an important role in career guidance. Through career counseling in elementary, junior high, high school and college facilitate learners in the achievement of his career.

In does changing an education institute really cling to kefektifan headmaster that have role as chief as organization to respond purubahan change who will happen.  That statement is supported by Richard Daffs opinion one of a great hand at management area bears out that leadership can push and backs up creativity to help fellow and that organization is more accepts and readily changed.
