Abstract

The objective in this research to explore the relationship between ability of the knowledge essential features inquiry science and their reasons underlying sense of scientific inquiry for physics teacher candidates on content geometrical optics. The essential features of inquiry science are components that should arise during the learning process subject matter of geometrical optics reflectance of light on a flat mirror, the reflection of light on curved mirrors and refraction of light at the lens. Five of essential features inquiry science adopted from assessment system developed by the National Research Council. Content geometrical optics developed from an analysis of a college syllabus material. Based on the study of the essential features of inquiry and content develop the multiple choice diagnostic test three tier. Data were taken from the students who are taking courses in optics and wave from one the LPTK in North Sumatra totaled 38 students. Instruments showed Cronbach alpha reliability of 0.67 to test the essential features of inquiry science and 0.61 to there as on geometrical optics science inquiry.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of learning model inquiry training on student learning outcomes on the subject matter of Gas Kinetic Theory. This type of research is quasi experiment. The population in the study were all students of class XI IPA SMAN 7 Medan consisting of 7 classes. Sampling is done by cluster random sampling by taking 2 classes from 7 classes randomly that is class XI-IPA 4 as experiment class and class XI-IPA 3 as control class. Instruments used in peneliatian is essay test with number of problem 8 pieces, attitude observation sheet and skill assessment sheet. The data in this research is analyzed by hypothesis test. The result of this research is the average value of pretest of experiment class 32,50 and control class 31,58. The mean value of the experimental class postes is 78.44 and the control class is 68.16. Based on the result of t test analysis, there is influence of learning inquiry training model to the students' learning result on the subject of kinetic theory of gas class XI SMA Negeri 7 Medan.

Abstract

The Purpose of The study: science process skills and logical thinking ability of students who use inquiry learning model training using PhET media; science process skills and logical thinking ability of students who use conventional learning model; and the difference science process skills and logical thinking ability of students to use learning model Inquiry Training using PhET media and conventional learning models. This research is a quasi experimental. Sample selection is done by cluster random sampling are two classes of classes VIII-E and class VIII-B, where the class VIII-E is taught by inquiry training model using media PhET and VIII-B with conventional learning model. The instrument used consisted of tests science process skills such as essay tests and tests of the ability to think logically in the form of multiple-choice tests. The data were analyzed using t test. The results showed that physics science process skills use Inquiry Training models using PhET media is different and showed better results compared with conventional learning model, and logical thinking skills students use Inquiry Training model using PhET media is different and show better results compared with conventional learning, and there is a difference between the ability to think logically and science process skills of students who use Inquiry Training model using PhET media and conventional learning models.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the effect of students' creative thinking skills using the project based learning model. (2) determine the effect of students' creative thinking skills using conventional models. This research is a quasi-experimental type of research. The design in this study used two group pretest-posttest designs. The population of this research is all students of class XI semester 1 of SMA Negeri 9 Medan T.A. 2019/2020 there were 6 classes (192). The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely class X IPA 1 (experimental class) and class X IPA 3 (control class) taken by cluster random sampling. The number of samples was 72 students. The research instrument was in the form of a project-based creative thinking skills test in the form of an essay test in accordance with aspects of creative thinking skills according to Karen S. Meador. The validity of the test is carried out with content validity, using 2 expert lecturers. Analysis of the data used is the t-test. The results of this study are the influence of project based learning model learning on students 'creative thinking skills and improvement of students' creative thinking skills in its aspect in the medium category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Kooperatif Tipe NHT terhadap hasil belajar siswa semester genap pada sub materi pokok Tekanan Pada Zat Padat dan Zat Cair di SMP Negeri 18 Medan T.P 2009/2010. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen two group pretest postest. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII Semester Genap SMP Negeri 18 Medan yang terdiri dari 8 kelas berjumlah 320 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling yaitu dengan mengambil 2 kelas dari 8 kelas secara acak. Dari hasil uji t-test diperoleh thitung sebesar 2,458 dengan probabilitas 0,017 < 0,05. Ini berarti ada pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model kooperatif tipe NHT terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada sub materi pokok Tekanan Pada Zat Padat dan Zat Cair Semester Genap SMP Negeri 18 Medan T.P 2009/2010.

Abstract

This study aims to: know the difference science process skills of students using cooperative learning model group investigation with direct instruction teaching model. This study is quasi exsperiment. The sample in this research was done by using cluster random sampling two classes. Instruments used in this research is understanding the concept of the initial test in the form of multiple-choice comprised of 10 questions and test science process skills in the form of 15 questions of multiple choice. From the results of this study concluded that: 1) there are differences in students' science process skills are taught using cooperative learning model group investigation, 2) there is a difference science process skills of students who have an understanding of the concept of high and low initial, 3) there is an interaction between the model of cooperative learning group investigation and understanding of the initial concept of the science process skills that students have a better learning model applied to students who have an understanding of the high initial concept.

Abstract

This study is aimed to investigate the difference between students’ concept understanding ability (CUA) taught with guided inquiry teaching model helped by mind map and direct instruction (DI).The existence of the effect of students’ curiosity with students’ CUA whether there is the interaction between guided inquiry helped by mind map and curiosity in order to develop students’ CUA. The research is quasi experiment with design two group pre-test and post-test. The population in this research is all students of class X MIA in SMA N 1 Namorambe. The sampel of the research is the students of class X MIA 1 which amounted to 30 people and the sampling  techniques using sampling total.The results of the analysis data using Two Way of ANAVA showed that students’ CUA with the guided inquiry helped by mind map were better than the students with DI, CUA who had curiosity upper the average better than student’ KPK who had curiosity under the average, and there was the interaction between the guided inquiry helped by mind map and curiosity and the students’ CUA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis apakah bahan ajaryang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan respon, aktivitas dan hasil belajarsiswa dengan menggunakan pengembangan bahan ajar SMA berbasisinvestigasi pada materi fluida dinamis berbasis investigasi. Metode yangdilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pengembanganResearch and Development (R&D). Sampel penelitian ini adalah satu kelasyaitu kelas XI IPA2. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumulkan data ada tiga yaitu dengan menggunakan lembar validasi bahan ajar berupa angket dan kemudian di validkan oleh tim ahli, untuk menilai respon siswapada bahan ajar instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket yang dibagikanpada setiap pertemuan dan untuk melihat aktivitas siswa menggunakanangket yang dinilai oleh teman sejawat peneliti dalam mengukur aktivitassiswa pada setiap pertemuan serta untuk melihat hasil belajar siswadigunakan penilaian evaluasi berupa 10 pertanyaan dalam bentuk pilihanberganda yang diberikan pada setiap akhir pertemuan. Hasil penelitiandiperoleh: Bahan ajar fisika SMA berbasis investigasi yang dikembangkandapat meningkatakan respon, aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa padapertemuan I, II, III yaitu: respon rata-rata pada pertemuan pertama sebesar76,42. pada pertemuan kedua sebesar 79,77 dan pada pertemuan ketiga87,36. Aktivitas rata-rata pada pertemuan pertama sebesar 67,01. padapertemuan kedua sebesar 71,00 dan pada pertemuan ketiga 79,00.  Hasilbelajar rata-rata pada pertemuan pertama sebesar 40,36. pada pertemuankedua sebesar 60,71 dan pada pertemuan ketiga 81,07.Kata kunci: hahan ajar, investigasi, hasil belajar

Abstract

The research aims to develop web-based interactive multimedia in Newton's law of motion material that meets valid, practical and effective requirements. The research method used is the development research method based on the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the development research obtained a web-based interactive multimedia valid by media experts and media experts, very practical by users (teachers and students) and effective by small group students and limited groups. Web-based interactive multimedia can be used as a learning media for teachers and high school level students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Perbedaan keterampilan proses sains siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model inkuiri terbimbing dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, 2) Perbedaan keterampilan proses sains pada siswa yang memiliki tingkat kreativitas tinggi dan pada siswa yang memiliki tingkat kreativitas rendah, 3) Interaksi antara kreativitas dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X pada SMAN I Julok semester genap tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yang ditentukan dengan cluster sampling diambil dari dua kelas, yaitu siswa kelas  X-2 (eksperimen) sebanyak 30 orang dan  siswa  X-5 (kontrol) sebanyak 30 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kreativitas dan tes keterampilan proses sains. Hipotesis dianalisis denganbantuan SPSS 17 for windows pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Berdasarkan analisis data dan uji hipotesis yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains antara siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Inkuiri terbimbing dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. 2) Terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains siswa yang memiliki tingkat kreativitas tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki tingkat kreativitas rendah, dimana siswa memiliki tingkat kreativitas tinggi memperolehketerampilan proses lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang memiliki tingkat kreativitas rendah. 3) Ada interaksi antara kreativitas dengan model pembelajaran  inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa.
