Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase of students' critical thinking skills in learning by using Student Worksheets (LKS) assisted by computer simulations. The worksheet used was problem based and contained questions that explore critical thinking skills. This type of research was a quasi experimental of two groups pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was all students of class X Semester I of SMA Negeri 9 Medan, which consisted of seven classes with the number of students was 243 students. The participants of this study consisted of 2 classes which used cluster random sampling technique. The first class was class of X MIA 2, 36 students, as an experimental which was treated by using student worksheets problem-based assisted by computer simulation. The second class was class X MIA 3, 32 students, as a control class which was treated by conventional learning using. The instrument used was a critical thinking test of 10 questions in the form of problem-based description. Based on the results of different tests, this study obtained significant differences on students 'critical thinking skills by using problem-based worksheets assisted by computer simulations. In other words the implementation of learning by using problem-based student worksheets was better in increasing students' critical thinking skills than conventional learning. Percentage increase in N-gain of critical thinking experimental class 64% and control class 43%, respectively - medium category.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine whether there is anydifference in result of learning physics which is taught with cooperative modeltype STAD model and DI model in grade 10, to determine the effect of thestudent’s academic potential level for the Physics learning outcomes and toknow whether there is an interaction between cooperative learning model typeSTAD and student’s academic potential as the Physics learning outcomes. Thisresearch is a quasi-experiment with two-way design. The population in thisresearch is all students in grade 10 with research sample Class X-1 as the controlclass and Class X-2 as the experiment class which have 32 students in each. Thedata analysis technique used SPSS 17, ANOVA Factorial 2x2. Based on the test performed, it is concluded: there are differences between the Physics learningoutcomes that was taught with cooperative model type STAD and DI model, there was student’s academic potential influence on Physics learning outcomes therewas an interaction between cooperative model type STAD and student’sacademic potential in improving learning outcomes that was show on Schaeffer Test.

Abstract

The objective in this research: (1) Determine a better learning model to improve learning outcomes physics students among learning model Inquiry Training based multimedia and Inquiry Training learning model. (2) Determine the level of motivation to learn in affects physics student learning outcomes. (3) Knowing the interactions between the model of learning and motivation in influencing student learning outcomes. This research is a quasi experimental. The population in this research was all students in class XI SMA Negeri 1 T.P Sunggal Semester I 2012/2013. The sample of this research was consisted of two classes with a sample of 70 peoples who are determined by purposive sampling, the IPA XI-2 as a class experiment using a model-based multimedia learning Training Inquiry as many as 35 peoples and XI IPA-3 as a control class using learning model Inquiry Training 35 peoples. Hypotheses were analyzed using the GLM at significant level of 0.05 using SPSS 17.0 for Windows. Based on data analysis and hypothesis testing conducted found that: (1) Training Inquiry-based multimedia learning model in improving student learning outcomes rather than learning model physics Inquiry Training. (2) The results of studying physics students who have high motivation to learn better than students who have a low learning motivation. (3) From this research there was an interaction between learning model inquiry-based multimedia training and motivation to study on learning outcomes of students.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) by using visual media of conceptual knowledge students in topic dynamic electricity in class X SMA Swasta Mulia Pratama. Method of this research is by using quasi experiments with one group post test pretest design. Population in this research were all students in class X SMA Swasta Mulia Pratama. Sampling technique was  total sampling that is class X-1 as experiment class using NHT and class X-2 as control class using direct insrtuctin model. The instrument used in this study there are test of learning outcomes in the form of essay 10 questions. Analysis using z-test. The results obtained average pretest experiments class was 9,57 and control class was 9,02 while average posttest experiments class was 50,97 and control class was 38,87. Average gain value of the experimental class value was 0,42 in sufficient category while control class was 0,32 in the low category. Hypothesis test results obtained zcount > ztable (3,75 > 1,65) so can be concluded that there is effect cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) by using visual media on learning outcomes of conceptual knowledge

Abstract

The purposes of the research are: to determine differences in the physics skills of students with learning model Cooperative Group Investigation using concept maps and Direct Instruction teaching model, to determine differences in the physical skills of students who have high Kinesthetic Learning Styles and Learning Styles low, to determine the interaction between Models of Learning and Kinesthetic Learning Styles toward physical process skills of students. The sample in this study conducted in a cluster random sampling of two classes, where the first class as a class experiment applied learning models Cooperative Group Investigation using Concept Maps as a class and the second class of controls implemented Direct Instruction model. The instrument used in this study is physics instrument science process skills in narrative form as many as 13 questions and instrument kinesthetic learning style questionnaire that has been declared valid and reliable. The results were found: there are differences in physical science process skills students are taught by Cooperative Group Investigation learning model using Concept Maps and Direct Instruction teaching model. There are differences in physical science process skills of students who have kinesthetic learning styles and students who have low kinesthetic learning style. Interaction between learning models Cooperative Group Investigation using Concept Maps and kinesthetic learning styles in influencing the physical science process skills of students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of collaborative inquiry learning models in improving students' 4C (Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking and Creativity) skills for learning physics on impulses, momentum and collisions. The population of this study were all students of class X of SMA Negeri 7 Medan in the second semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. The sampling technique in this research used cluster random class, the experimental class used collaborative inquiry learning model and control class using conventional learning. The variables in the study consisted of 4C skills as dependent variables and collaborative inquiry models as independent variables. The data in this study were analyzed using one-party t-test. The results showed that students '4C skills with collaborative inquiry learning models were better than students' 4C skills with conventional learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan gaya mengajar guru Fisika terhadap minat belajar Fisika siswa kelas IX MTs Istiqlal Delitua. Sampel penelitiannya siswa kelas IX MTs Istiqlal Delitua berjumlah 70 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran angket. Untuk mengetahuihubungan kedua variabel digunakan koefisien korelasi product moment. Dari koefisien gaya mengajar guru, dikonversikan ke tabel interpretasi nilai r, untuk mengetahui peranan gaya mengajar guru fisika terhadap minat belajar fisika siswa. Ternyata ada peranan yang positif dan signifikan dari peranangaya mengajar guru Fisika dalam proses pembelajaran terhadap minat siswa kelas IX MTs Istiqlal Delitua untuk belajar Fisika dengan koefisien korelasinya 0,596. Hal ini bersumber dari persentase rata-rata indikator peranan gaya mengajar sehingga perlu ditingkatkan lagi variasi gaya mengajar guru Fisika agar minat siswa belajar Fisika akan lebih besar.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning model on the student’s learning outcomes in the subject matter dynamic fluid. This research is a quasi-experimental study with two group design Pre-test and post-test, this study population was all students of class XI SMA Private Panca Budi Medan TP 2014 / 2015. The samples were taken by cluster random sampling technique, which consists of two classes, PBL applied in experiment class and conventional learning applied in control class, Data was obtained by using 12 essay instruments, observation ofactivities, attitudes and skills of students. From the analysis of the data for the experiment class gained an average of 30.5 Pre-test and the average value of Post-test 74.2. Control classes gained an average of 33.2 Pre-test and average Post-test 65.8. Both classes are normally distributed and have a homogen variation. t count was 2,016 at the real level of 0.05 where t count was 2,407 and t count > t table. So that there is significant effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) to student’s learning result in the subject matter dynamic fluid of class XI SMA Private Panca Budi Medan TP 2014/2015.

Abstract

This study aims: 1) to determine differences in science process skills of students with This study aims to determine: teamwork ability of students with cooperative learning model of type of group investigation and the ability to work with students with conventional learning, the effect  of cooperative learning model of group investigation on learning outcomes of students in learning physics., correlation  between the ability of teamwork and learning outcomes students. This research uses type of quasi-experimental with two group pretest-posttest  design. The study population was standard X SMA.Negeri 1 Langsa.The sample of this research were the students of X.10 as experiment group and X.9 as control group that established by purpossive sampling. The instruments used consist of observation sheets of teamwork and essay test of learning outcomes. The data were analyzed using parametric t-test analysis. The results showed that: The teamwork ability of  students who are taught by cooperative learning model type group investigation better than students taught by conventional teaching in physics learning, cooperative learning model of type of group investigation has effect on student learning outcomes. Learning outcomes of students taught by cooperative learning model of type of group investigation better than on learning outcomes for students who taught by conventional learning, and there is a correlation between the teamwork ability  with student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: Mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajarfisika siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GroupInvestigationdengan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction. Mengetahui perbedaan hasilbelajar fisika antara kelompok siswa yang memiliki teamwork skills dibawah rata-rata dengan di atas rata-rata. Mengetahui interaksi antara modelpembelajaran dengan tingkat teamwork skills siswa dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswakelas X. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara cluster randomsebanyak dua kelas, dimana kelas pertama sebagai kelas eksperimenditerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation dankelas kedua sebagai kelas kontrol diterapkan model pembelajaran DirectInstruction. Instrumen yang digunakan dalampenelitian ini yaitu instrumentes hasil belajar fisika dalam bentuk uraian sebanyak 8 soal dan insrumenobservasi teamwok skills yang telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Datadianalisis menggunakan analisis Anava dua jalur. Dari hasil penelitian dapatdisimpulkan bahwa: Hasil belajar fisika pada model kooperatif tipe groupinvestigation lebih tinggi dibandingkan model direct interuction. Hasilbelajar fisika pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki tingkat teamwork skills diatas rata-rata lebih tinggi dibandingkan di bawah rata-rata. Terdapatinteraksiantara model pembelajaran dengan tingkat teamwork skills siswa dalammempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipegroup investigation sangat baik diterapkan pada kelompok siswa yangmemiliki teamwork skills di atas rata-rata. Sedangkan pada model directinteruction tidak perlu memperhatikan teamwork skills.  Kata kunci: group investigation, teamwork skills, hasil belajar
