Abstract

This research was aimed to figure out the effect of Two-Stay Two-Stray cooperative learning approach to natural science subject learning achievement on the material of natural resource on the fourth graders of SD Negeri Karangdadap. Learning achievement studied consisted of 3 aspects; cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspect. The subject of the research was the fourth graders of SD Negeri Karangdadap covered 2 classes, class IVA totaled 23 students and IV B totaled 26 students. This research was conducted by using experimental method, One fourth grade students as an experimental class and others as a controlled class. This research was started by pre-test, treatment, and post-test, data collecting technique employed was test and no-test. A non-test technique was used to collect affective aspect data by questionnaire and psychomotor aspect by rating scale by using indicator of responsibility attitude. The obtained data were analyzed by Man Whitney test based on the calculation result, obtained cognitive aspect Z < - Zα/2 or -2,213 < -0,01; affective aspect Z < - Zα/2 or -2,282 < -0,01; psychomotor aspect Z < - Zα/2 or -2,395 < -0,01. Based on the above result, it could be concluded that there was an effect on the application of Two-Stay Two-Stray cooperative learning approach to natural science subject learning achievement on the material of natural resource on the fourth graders of SD Negeri Karangdadap on cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

This research was aimed at improvingthe students’ mathematic problem solving competencethrough Problem-Based Instruction (PBI). The subject of this research was IV graders od SD Negeri 1Kalibagor consisting of 18 males and 19 females. The design of this research was Classroom ActionResearch which was carried out in 2 cycles in which every cycle consisted of 2 meetings. In each cyclethere were planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The result of the research indicated that theimplementation of learning mathematic through Problem- Based Instruction learning model couldenhance the mathematic problem solving competence. This was proven by the increaseof the averagescore of mathematic problem solving competence. The average score inthe first cycle was 14.21 whichwas considered goog, and in the second cycle it was 16.69 which belonged to very good criteria. Theaverage result of students’ mathematic problem soving competencetest was 71.03 in the first cycle and83.51 in the second cycle. Furthermore, the students’ learning mastery was 51.40% in the first cycleand 89.19% in the second cycle whic indicated an improvement

Abstract

The study was aimed at improving the students’ learning interest and achievement of math on topic of addition and subtraction of three numbers though a work group as the technique to improve the learning process. It applied a classroom action research conducted following the principles of Kemmis S, C Taggart R (1988) covering planning, acting, oberserving, and reflecting or evaluating. These stages were done repeatedly and made into cycles. This was done by collaborating with the peers as observer, supervisor and the principal of the elementary school. Based on the analysis, it can concluded that (1) the students’ interest in attending the learning is better than the coventional method, by applying the guided inquiry and the simple media, (2) the students’ learning achievement also improves, by applying the method and the simple media. This can be seen from the increase of students’ learning interest from the cycle I. It was 62% and their learning mastery was 63,38% , with an average score of 70,07. At the end of the Cycle II, their learning interest improved to 82,4%. Their learning mastery was 88,46% and their average score was 78,26. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the learning of math on addition and subtraction using guided inquiry method can be successfully applied in a classroom action research

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi model dan memperbaiki kualitas buku ajar dengan mengemas latihan/quiz (Quiz Learning/QL) sebagai media interaktif dalam kemandirian belajar di Pendidikan Jarak Jauh (PJJ) Universitas Terbuka. Upaya inovasi buku ajar dikembangkan dalam penyajian untuk menumbuhkan kemandirian mahasiswa PJJ untuk belajar. Pentingnnya penelitian dengan menfokuskan pengembangan materi pada buku ajar berbasis dual coding membantu mahasiswa memahami materi dan menjadikan pola belajar dalam menguasai berbagai konsep. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Randomized Two-Group Design, Posttest Only. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik pemberian tes melalui tahapan analisis konten, wawancara, dan pengisian kuesioner (terbuka dan tertutup). Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa S1 PGSD Universitas Terbuka sebanyak 60 orang sebagai sampel di Pokjar Bogor dan Serang. Waktu penelitian bulan April-September tahun 2015. Hasil menunjukkan ilustrasi visual yang dikemas dalam QL meningkatkan kemampuan mengingat isi materi, dimana kemampuan mengingat ketika diberi ilustrasi visual berbasis decoration lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan kemampuan mengingat ketika diberi ilustrasi visual berbasis information. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ilustrasi visual pada quiz berbasis information dual coding pada materi akan meningkatkan kemampuan mengingat isi materi tersebut. Berbagai kajian yang perlu ditindaklanjuti untuk penelitian berikutnya yaitu berkenaan dengan kebermaknaan konsep pada materi yang belum nampak muncul sebagai kaidah dual coding

Abstract

School principals as leaders in primary schools can be a good manager of school progress in the future as well designer. The principal's role is very important because in the hands of the principal policies will progress the school is located. Factors supporting the achievement of a program created by the principal, the teacher's role as an educator as a resource executing the implementation of curriculum 2013, would require the improvement and enhancement of professionalism. Principal's role in preparing resource educator (teacher) facing the implementation of the curriculum in 2013 as a planner and developer in providing a school policy is to increase learning in terms of services, the concept of a credible form of learning that applies the concept of thematic scientific approach, foster harmonious school climate and culture character that can be run in a conducive learning, academic educators increase professionalism through education and training, and instilling cohesion and cooperation among stakeholders in building and developing a school program.

Abstract

Nowdays Bullying has been found within the students of elementary school. It can be in the form of mocking, beating, forcing for money, and even go to criminal domain such as pricking by lethal weapon. Kinds of bullying are not identified and adults’ attitude or the others’ permissive action to bullying made kids feel that the less good action was supposed to be good and even improved to other kind of more complex from of bullying. This research aimed to find out the teacher’s perception toward bullying, kinds and factors of bullying, teacher’s strategy in facing bullying, the teacher’s strategy in handling the students of bullying victim. The kind of the research was a qualitative by interview technique and observation for collecting the data. The subject of this research were the third grader students, teacher, headmaster in an elementary school an Kemranjen Sub district. The research showed that the bullying happened was direct verbal contact bullying, indirect non verbal, the direct physical contact and sexual abuse. The factors influencing the bullying were generation, family surroundings, negativetanded surrounding, the technology use, and the unwise of the bullyingneglect by teachers. The strategies used to handle the bullying students were by teacher’s and headmaster’s strictness, the cooperation of teacher and parents, building good communication between teacher and parents. The strategy done in handling to the bullying victims were the seriousness of the effect caused that can be observed and physically seen

Abstract

This study aims to determine the cardiorespiratory fitness of football players of students Activity Unit of University of Muhammadiyah PURWOKERTO. This research is a quantitative descriptive. The population in this study are all of football players of Students Activity Unit of University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, with the number of 20 persons (respondents). The instruments in this study was by Multi Stage Running tests with the reliability and validity of 0.9 by 0.6. Data were analyzed by descriptive with percentage, as well as by six categories: privileged, very good, good, average, less, and very less. From the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the level of cardiorespiratory fitness football player of students Activity Unit of University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto was in privileged category of total 0 respondent (00,00%), 0 respondent (00,00%), in less category, 3 people ( 15.00%) in average. 2 persons (10,00) in good category, 2 people or (10.00%) in very good category, and 13 people or (65.00%) in privileged category

Abstract

The research was supported by the low learning outcome on science subject for fifth B grade SD Negeri 1 Bojongsari student. This is evidenced from the low cognitive evaluation based on the evaluation of data subjects of natural science that shows that there are still many students who have not attained mastery learning. The research was aimed at improving students’ natural science learning outcome on the material of the water cycle through Problem Based learning fifth-grade student of the elementary school. The subjects were the students of fifth grade SD Negeri 1 Bojongsari, there were 24 students, 10 male and 14 female ones. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. The data were collected from test and observation. An evaluation test was used to collect the data of the cognitive aspect of written tests conducted at the end of each cycle. Affective and psychomotoric evaluation worksheet was used to collect the data of affective and phsycomotoric aspect. The result showed the achievement mean in cycle I was 68,3 and then increased to 81,67 in cycle II. The result of the affective aspect the percentage in cycle I was 70,42% and increased to 85,62%. The result of phsycomotoric aspect the percentage in cycle I was 80,03% and increased to 90,1%. Finally, it can be drawn a conclusion that Problem Based Learning can improve students’ natural science learning outcome.

Abstract

On science learning at fifth grade SD Negeri 2 Kotayasa showed that learning process still used lecturing method and lack of students’ participation. The research was aimed at improving curiosity and science learning achievement at class V SD Negeri 2 Kotayasa. The research was done in 2 cycles which consisted of 2 meetings for each. The result of the research showed that there was an improvement. The average of curiosity in cycle I was 30,3. Meanwhile, the average of curiosity in cycle 122,2 and for cycle II there was an improvement on which the average was 159 with 81,5% as the classical completeness. Based on the data aforementioned, it could be concluded that make a match learning model could improve curiosity and science learning achievement on land forming material through making a match learning model in class V SD Negeri 2 Kotayasa. This classroom action research improved curiosity and science learning model on land forming through make a match learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the social skills of children through the method of role playing in the kindergarten Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto’sLabschool and to determine the constraints of social skills through role play methods which are given to children.The research method used was action research method. This study was conducted from 4 March to 20 May 2013.. The analysis method of research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The success of the research is concluded with the analysis using the percentage. Research declared successful if the percentage of social skills assessment> 40 after doing activities with role playing method. In the second cycle, twenty studentshas increased social skills. Highest percentage increase in social skills achieved by the subject Yz, at 96.6%.Roleplaying learning methods thatimplemented by teachers with step (1) propose and discuss the situation. (2) prepare a roleplaying, (3) playing (4) reveals the experience ; have done well. The objectives of the research has achieved with the maximum expected
