Abstract

Sebuah metode spektrofotometri untuk penentuan senyawa kompleks Cu(II)-Ninhidrin telah diteliti. Tahapan pada penelitian ini adalah uji kualitatif ion logam terhadap ninhidrin. Selanjutnya dilakukan optimasi pembentukkan kompleks dengan penentuan panjang gelombang maksimum, variasi pH, perbandingan mol logam : mol ligan Cu(II)-ninhidrin dan variasi waktu. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kinerja analitik dengan parameter linearitas, presisi dan limit deteksi. Hasil pengukuran panjang gelombang maksimum dengan spektrofotometer UV-Vis kompleks Cu(II)-ninhidrin mempunyai panjang gelombang 352 nm, pH optimum terjadi pada pH 9, perbandingan mol logam : mol ligan Cu(II)-ninhidrin adalah 1:3, dan kestabilan terjadi pada waktu 30 sampai 40 menit menghasilkan warna kompleks hijau kekuningan. Hasil kinerja analitik diperoleh linieritas (R2), presisi (%RSD) dan limit deteksi berturut-turut adalah 0,9908; 2,93% dan 0,2298 mM.Kata kunci : Cu(II), Ninhidrin, Spektrofotometer UV-Vis

Abstract

Keterbatasan sumber daya air bersih yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat sekitar tambang menjadi dilema tersendiri, kondisi ini membuat masyarakat mengunakan air void sebagai sumber air baku untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Pembukaan lapisan tanah dalam proses penambangan telah membuat mineral di dalam tanah terbuka. Hal ini akan menyebabkanterjadi oksidasi mineral sulfida (pirit-FeS2) yang membawa kandungan-kandungan logam berat berbahaya, seperti timah hitam (Pb), seng(Zn), arsen (As). Kondisi ini diduga akan menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan,jika dikonsumsi masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di Pondok pesantren Darul Fatta Loa Buah, Kota Samarinda menunjukkan bahwa air bekas void batu bara sudah dimamfaatkan sejak tahun 2019 sampai dengan saat ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaiaan kualitas air dari lubang bekas tambang batu bara dan mengidentifikasi keluhan kesehatan santri serta upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengelola air kolam pasca tambang sehingga memenuhi sayarat air bersih. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan mengunakan teknik penelitian observasional deskriptif dengan desain penelitian Cross Sectional dan pengumpulan sampel mengunakan metode total sampling yang berjumlah 98 santri. Berdasarkan hasil uji didapatkan tiga parameter yang tidak memenuhi standar yaitu kekeruhan, pH dan COD, dengan status kesehatan santri 60,2 % mengalami keluhan ringan , 33,7 % mengalami keluhan sedang dan 6,1 % mengalami keluhan berat dan untuk upaya pengelolaan air dengan menambahkan kaporitKata Kunci : Parameter Air, Status Kesehatan

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh temperatur, kecepatan rotor, waktu, dan konsentrasi peroksida dan monomer Glisidil metakrilat (GMA). Sifat dan efisiensi pencangkokan GMA pada karet alam (NR) dilakukan menggunakan metode proses reaktif. Tiga jenis peroksida yang berbeda, benzoil peroksida (BPO), dikumil peroksida (DCP), dan 2,5-dimetil-2,5-bis-(tert-butil peroksi) heksana (T-101) diperiksa sebagai inisiator radikal bebas. Metodologi yang tepat ditetapkan dan komposisi kimia serta parameter pemrosesan reaktif diperiksa dan dioptimalkan. Prosedur untuk pemurnian produk reaksi dikembangkan sehingga tingkat pencangkokan monomer pada polimer dapat dikarakterisasi secara akurat, terutama menggunakan teknik FTIR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa derajat pencangkokan meningkat dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi GMA yang ditambahkan. Derajat pencangkokan GMA meningkat dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi peroksida. Jenis peroksida yang terbaik adalah T-101>DCP>BPO. Peroksida yang cocok untuk inisiasi reaksi pencangkokan GMA pada NR adalah T-101 dengan suhu optimum adalah 160oC.Kata Kunci: SIR-20, grafting kopolimerisasi, peroksida organik, derajat pencangkokan

Abstract

Kirinyuh leaves (Chromolaena odorata (L.) King & H.E Robins) is one of the plants of the Asteraceae family that is commonly used by the community as a wound healing medicinal ingredient and has antioxidant and antibacterial activities. This research was conducted to determine the type of secondary metabolite compounds contained in the crude extract, n-Hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol-water fraction kirinyuh leaves (Chromolaena odorata (L.) King & H.E Robins) and determine the level of toxicity against to Artemia salina L. using the BSLT method. Phytochemical test results of crude extract leaves kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata (L.) King & H.E Robins) contain alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids, and phenolics. The n-Hexane fraction contains steroids and quinones. The ethyl acetate fraction contains flavonoids and phenolics. The methanol-water fraction contains flavonoids, saponins and phenolics. Based on toxicity tests, crude extract, n-hexane, ethyl acetate fractions of kirinyuh leaves is highly toxic with successive LC50 values of 2.88 ppm, 8.12 ppm and 6.86 ppm, then the methanol-water fraction is toxic with an LC50 value of 186.76 ppm. Abstract

Students' motivation in learning activities carried out in the laboratory really needs to be improved in order to improve Higher Order Thinking Skills in Teaching Acid-Base Titrations. This study aims to see the innovation of project-based learning resources in improving student learning outcomes in acid-base titration learning. This research is a development research with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation. The subjects of this study were students of class PSPK D 2019 with purposive sampling technique. Research data were collected through innovative observation sheets of project implementation. The questionnaire refers to the eligibility criteria BSNP, and interviews.To find out the laboratory-assisted project- based learning innovation on students' learning motivation was analyzed using an independent sample t-test with the help of SPSS 25. Keyword: Innovative, Higher Order Thinking ability, and Project-Based Learning.

Abstract

Optimization of pH and contact time on the adsorption of methylene blue by magnetite coated with humic acid (Fe3O4-HA) using the batch method was studied. The synthesis of magnetite coated humic acid (Fe3O4-HA) was carried out by coprecipitation method with a ratio of 1:2 (w/w). Optimization of pH and contact time of magnetite coated humic acid (Fe3O4-HA) was carried out with 30 ppm methylene blue concentration and 0.1 g Fe3O4-HA mass. The optimum pH and optimum contact time of magnetite coated humic acid (Fe3O4-HA) were at pH 7 with adsorption percent of 99,93% and 120 minutes with adsorption percent of 93,88%. Abstract

Ornamental plants are one of the resources that have the potential to be developed on a large scale due to high public interest. The dollar leaf plant is one of the most common ornamental plants. The leaves of the dollar plant are commonly used in traditional medicine. The objective of this research was to determine the antioxidant properties by means of the 2,2 diphenyl -1-picryhidrazil (DPPH) method from the methanolic extract of dollar leaf (Ficus pumila L.). Based on the results of phytochemical tests, the methanol extract is known to contain alkaloids and steroids. The dollar leaf methanolic extract showed antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 387.753 mg/mL. From the antioxidant activity test results, dollar leaf methanol extract has relatively weak antioxidant power. Abstract

Adsorption of Cadmium Heavy Metal (Cd) by Coffee Waste from Coffee Shops has been carried out. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimum contact time, optimum pH and maximum adsorption capacity and the type of adsorption isotherm on the adsorption of cadmium by coffee grounds. In the preparation stage, the coffee grounds were rinsed using boiling distilled water several times, then sieved using a 60 mesh sieve, the adsorption process in this study used the Batch method. Cadmium metal was analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The results showed that the optimum time was optained at 30 minutes, the optimum pH was at pH 6 and the maximum adsorption capacity was 66,74 mg/g. The type of adsorption isotherm obtained is Freundlich isoterm. Keywords: Adsorption, coffee grounds, cadmium.

Abstract

Synthesis of L-cysteine ​​modified silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) investigated. The reducing agent used in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles is trisodium citrate. The reaction between silver nitrate and trisodium citrate is indicated by a color change from clear to yellow. AgNPs were prepared with optimum contact time variations. The result of the UV-Vis spectrophotometer characterization showed that L-cysteine ​​modified silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) with an optimum contacting time of 7 hours. L-cysteine ​​modified silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were applied as colorimetric histamine sensors. Keywords: Silver Nanoparticles (AgNPs), Optimization, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need develop a teaching material needed in schools, namely problem-based e-module using Moodle on chemistry material for even semester XI SMA. This type of research is part of development research using ADDIE. This research is only up to in the first stage. Subject and location of this research are chemistry teachers and students of class XI SMA N 1 Binjai Langkat district. research instrument used interview questionnaires and BSNP assessments. the research obtained several result, namely schools using the 2013 curriculum, teaching materials in the form of textbooks. The existence of textbooks is still abstract and the level is too high so it is difficult for students to understand. The problem-based learning model and use of electronic media in learning hav'nt implemented. The chemistry textbook analyzed was concluded to be suitable for use, however, in the book, the material contained is very short, does'nt contain multimedia links as additional reference material that can enrich students' insight and make it easier to understand the material. can be concluded that it is necessary to develop problem-based e-module teaching materials using the Moodle application on chemistry material for even semester XI SMA.
