Abstract

Abstrack The Qur’an for the Muslim community is not only seen as a sacred text that is read, but is also used for various purposes, including as personal protection. This article is about to discuss about the verse or letter of the Qur’an as a means of protection (mageri) themselves according to the angry interpretation of the labid and the views of the people in etc. Cikalan against the Qur’an as a personal protector. The research combines library research and field research with descriptive analysis and using the living Qur'an approach. The results of this study indicate that the Qur'an can be used as a means of personal protection. The verses or Surahs that are often practiced by the public are Surah al Ikhlas, Surah al Falaq, Surah an Nas, Surah al Mulk and verse seats. The purpose of carrying out the practice of the Qur'an as self-protection is to obtain blessings, get used to reading the Qur'an and follow what the Prophet Muhammad taught. namely making the Qur'an as a stronghold, and every human being wants to be spafe from danger wherever they are, both when sleeping, staying at home and outside. The results of this study reinforce the view that the reception of the Muslim community towards the Qur’an varies, not only as a text that is read, but a text that is used in daily life. Keywords: Living Qur’an, Protector, Society Abstrak Alquran bagi masyarakat muslim tidak hanya dipandang sebagai sebuah teks sakral yang dibaca, tetapi juga digunakan untuk berbagai kepentingan, termasuk sebagai pelindung diri. Artikel ini hendak mendiskusikan tentang ayat atau surat Alquran sebagai sarana pelindung (mageri) diri menurut tafsir marah labid dan pandangan masyarakat di dusun Cikalan terhadap ayat Alquran sebagai pelindung diri. Penelitian menggabungkan penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dan penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan analisis deskriptif dan menggunakan pendekatan living Qur’an. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Alquran bisa di gunakan sebagai sarana pelindung diri. Adapun ayat atau surat Alquran yang sering diamalkan oleh masyarakat yaitu surat al Ikhlas, surat al Falaq, surat an Nas, surat al Mulk dan ayat kursi. Tujuan pelaksanaan pengamalan Alquran sebagai pelindung diri tersebut adalah agar memperoleh berkah, membiasakan diri membaca Alquran dan mengikuti apa yang telah diajarkan Nabi Muhammad saw. yaitu menjadikan Alquran sebagai benteng pertahanan, serta setiap manusia menginginkan selamat dari bahaya dimana saja berada, baik ketika tidur, diam di rumah maupun di luar rumah. Hasil penelitian ini memperkuat pandangan bahwa resepsi masyarakat Muslim terhadap Alquran beragam, tidak hanya sebagai teks yang dibaca, tetapi teks yang difungsikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Abstract

Abstract This paper examines the potential of religion as the main source of harmony in a plural society. This paper itself is motivated by the fact that religion has two different faces: integrative and confrontational. On the one hand religion can encourage integration in society, however religion also has the potential to cause conflict and tension in the community, especially in the people with complex levels of diversity. In multicultural societies, integrative religious attitudes are needed to avoid conflicts. But making it happen is not as easy as turning our hand. The factor of understanding religious texts that are exclusive and based on hatred is one of the challenges. This will be further complicated when external factors (economic, political) are involved. By using philosophical-reflective methods, the writer offers two ways of religious that can create harmony in different cultures and beliefs, namely: exclusivenes-tolerance religious, and willingness to engage in interfaith dialogue. With these two things the writer believes that religious people still feel comfortable with the truth of their own religion, and at the same time they live in peace with people of different religions. Abstrak Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang potensi agama sebagai sumber utama harmoni dalam masyarakat majemuk. Tulisan ini sendiri dilatar belakangi oleh kenyataan bahwa agama memiliki dua wajah yang saling berbeda: integratif dan konfrontatif. Di satu sisi agama bisa mendorong terjadinya integrasi dalam masyarakat, namun demikian agama juga berpotensi menimbulkan konflik dan ketegangan di tengah masyarakat, khususnya masyarakat dengan tingkat keragaman yang kompleks.Dalam masyarakat multikultural, sikap beragama yang integratif sangat diperlukan agar tidak terjadi konflik. Namun mewujudkannya tidak semudah membalikkan tangan. Faktor pemahaman terhadap teks-teks keagamaan yang tertutup dan didasari kebencian menjadi salah satu tantangan. Ini akan semakin rumit ketika faktor-faktor eksternal (ekonomi, politik) turut terlibat. Dengan menggunakan metode filosofis-reflektif penulis menawarkan dua cara beragama yang bisa mewujudkan harmoni dalam masyarakat yang berbeda budaya dan keyakinan, yaitu: keberagamaan yang ekslusif-toleran, dan kesediaan diri untuk melakukan dialog antarumat beragama. Dengan dua hal ini penulis meyakini umat beragama tetap merasa nyaman dengan kebenaran agamanya sendiri, dan di saat bersamaan mereka hidup damai dengan umat agama yang berbeda. Kata Kunci : Keberagamaan, Konflik, Masyarakat Multikultural, Ekslusif-Toleran, Dialog Antaragama.

Abstract

Abstract This article departs from the fact that Muslims today are experiencing setbacks from various sides. Therefore, philosophers, scientists, and many scholars provide an alternative solution to address such facts, including Abed al-Jabiri. Abed al-Jabiri born, grow, and develop the idea in Morocco. Before plunging into the intellectual world, he was active in the political party with the thought of which tends to be socialist-Marxist. As for the product, the idea can be found in his book entitled Naqdu-l-‘Aqli al-Arabi (Criticism of Reason Arabic) with a thickness of about 1200 pages. Abed al-Jabiri divides the three epistemologies of knowledge of Muslims, namely Bayani that lineup text, offered with a base experience of intuition, and Burhani with a base of reality that is supported with common sense. While the relevance of the third classification is for the study of Islam can be used to map the religious movement in Indonesia. In addition, it can also be used as a departing point to examine the phenomenon of religious diversity through the approach of integrative. Keywords: Islamic, Epistemology, Islamic Studies. Abstrak Artikel ini berangkat dari fakta bahwa umat Islam hari ini mengalami kemunduran dari berbagai sisi. Maka dari itu, para filsuf, ilmuwan, dan ulama banyak memberikan alternatif solusi untuk menjawab fakta tersebut, termasuk Abed al-Jabiri. Abed al-Jabiri lahir, tumbuh, dan mengembangkan gagasannya di Maroko. Sebelum terjun ke dunia intelektual, ia sempat berkiprah di partai politik dengan pemikiran yang cenderung sosialis-marxis. Adapun produk gagasannya dapat ditemukan di bukunya yang berjudul Naqdu-l-‘Aqli al-Arabi (Kritik Nalar Arab) dengan tebal sekitar 1200-an halaman. Abed al-Jabiri membagi tiga epistemologi pengetahuan umat Islam, yakni bayani yang berbabis teks, irfani dengan basis pengalaman intuisi, dan burhani dengan basis realitas yang didukung dengan akal. Sedangkan relevansi dari ketiga klasifikasi tersebut untuk studi Islam dapat digunakan untuk memetakan gerakan keagamaan yang ada di Indonesia. Selain itu juga dapat digunakan sebagai titik berangkat untuk mengkaji fenomena keagamaan yang beragam melalui pendekatan yang integratif. Kata Kunci : Islam, Epistemologi, Studi Islam.

Abstract

Abstract Religious fundamentalism is understood as an answer of the socialist group and the political elite of the religious in a religious group. So religious fundamentalism is always evolving in the modern era. As a study-based literature, this study will highlight the historical roots of religious fundamentalism in the era of the classical, pre-modern, and contemporary implications in the discovery model the thinking of fundamentalism religious in the contemporary era. The findings in this study show that fundamentalism has a few basic principles. Principles basic principles: the first is oppositional (understand resistance), the second the rejection of hermeneutics, the third rejection of pluralism and relativism, and the fourth is the rejection of the historical development and sociological. By using basic principles such then the movement of the Kharijites, the Wahabi movement in the Arabian peninsula, the movement of Shaykh Uthman and Fodio in Northern Nigeria, the movement Padri in Minangkabau and Al-Ikhwan al-Muslim in Egypt can be categorized in the movement of Islamic fundamentalism. Abstrak Fundamentalisme agama difahami sebagai sebuah jawaban dari kelompok sosialis dan elit politik keagamaan dalam sebuah kelompok agama. Sehingga fundamentalisme agama ini selalu berkembang dalam era modern saat ini. Sebagai kajian berbasis pustaka, kajian ini akan menyorot akar sejarah fundamentalisme agama pada era klasik, pra-modern, dan kontemporer yang berimplikasi pada penemuan model pemikiran fundamentalisme keagamaan pada era kontemporer. Temuan dalam kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa fundamentalisme memiliki beberapa prinsip dasar. Prinsip-prinsip dasar tersebut: pertama adalah oppositionalism (paham perlawanan), kedua penolakan terhadap hermeneutika, ketiga penolakan terhadap pluralisme dan relativisme, dan keempat adalah penolakan terhadap perkembangan historis dan sosiologis. Dengan menggunakan prinsip-prinsip dasar tersebut maka gerakan kaum Khawarij, gerakan Wahabi di semenanjung Arabia, gerakan Syaikh Usman dan Fodio di Nigeria Utara, gerakan Padri di Minangkabau dan Al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun di Mesir dapat dikategorikan dalam gerakan fundamentalisme Islam. Abstract

Abstract The diversity of Muslims in Indonesia is accompanied by a diversity of paradigms causing Muslims to be divided into several diverse communities. This community is in the form of religious organizations, congregations, or certain recitals. Each community of Muslims has various views regarding Ulil Amri or religious authority. Based on the typology, religious authority in Indonesia can be divided into Rational Legal, Substantive, Charismatic, and Traditional authorities. The acceptance factor of a community towards a certain authority is based on a rational factor based on religious or community values and also an effective factor. In addition, the competence of the authorities is also a factor in his acceptance as the party followed by his orders. Abstrak Keberagaman umat Islam di Indonesia disertai dengan keberagaman paradigmanya menyebabkan umat Islam terbagi-bagi dalam beberapa komunitas yang beragam. Komunitas ini dalam berbentuk organisasi keagamaan, Jamaah tarekat, ataupun jamaah pengajian tertentu. Masing-masing komunitas umat islam ini memiliki pandangan yang beragam terkait Ulil Amri atau pemangku otoritas keagamaan. Berdasarkan tipologinya otoritas keagamaan di Indonesia dapat dibagi menjadi otoritas Rasional Legal, Rasional Substantif, Kharismatik, dan Tradisional. Faktor penerimaan (acceptance) suatu komunitas terhadapemangku otoritas tertentu didasarkan pada faktor rasional berbasis nilai agama atau komunitas dan juga faktor afektif. Selain itu kompetensi pemangku otoritas juga menjadi faktor diterimanya sebagai pihak yang diikuti perintahnya. Kata Kunci : Typologi Otoritas, Komunitas Islam, Ulil Amri, Bulan Hijriah.

Abstract

Abstract In this paper, the author tries to thoroughly analyze the misogynistic hadith which describes that woman lacks her sense of religion and reason. The method used by the author is to extract the hadiths from the main books, analyze them with quotes from figures from several disciplines that have relevance to the theme of the discussion. This method will answer the problem in a comprehensive and representative manner regarding women who lack reason and religion, so that the understanding generated from a hadith can be scientifically justified and clear, saved from misunderstanding. Keywords: Misogynist, Woman, Intellect, Hadith. Abstrak Artikel ini penulis mencoba mengupas secara tuntas tentang hadīs misoginis yang menggambarkan wanita itu kurang akal dan agamanya. Metode yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah dengan mentakhrij hadīs dari sumber kitab-kitab induk, menganalisanya dengan beberapa kutipan para tokoh dari beberapa disiplin ilmu yang mempunyai relevansi dengan tema pembahasan. Metode ini akan menjawab masalah secara komprehensif dan representatif mengenai wanita kurang akal dan agamanya, sehingga pemahaman yang dihasilkan dari sebuah hadīs bisa dipertanggung jawabkan secara ilmiah dan jelas, terselamatkan dari kesalah-fahaman. Abstract

This study aims to determine the history of the development of orientalism in the classical era and the mission of translating the Qur'an and Islamic studies. This is based on the author's concern that the model of Islamic studies and the study of the Koran in the contemporary era is still rigid from an interdisciplinary study. This study is a library research study with data exposure using descriptive and analytical-critical methods. The findings in this study indicate that classical orientalism has led to attempts to confront Islamic thoughts. One of the fruits of this conflict was the presence of a translation of the al-Qur'an, the work of the orientalists. However, this competitive contestation eventually gave rise to an interdisciplinary model of Islamology and the study of the Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Many people think that religion is no longer entitled to intervene in the world, in other words, religion is a private matter that cannot be carried out in the public sphere. The ideology of secularism that continues to spread from the West has now spread to almost all corners of the world, including countries which are actually Islamic countries. Not a few think that modern people are people who have left the spiritual element. Nasr was the first Iranian student to study at MIT in America, he criticized modern science, he also argued that science has left its role and its proper application. So that he wanted to return to the Sacred Science found in previous religions. This study uses a type of literature research (library research) with a theoretical approach. This study uses critical analysis methods and research studies. The result of this study is that Nasr proposes Sacred Science as a way out of the secularization of science. According to him, faith is not separate from science and intellect is not separated from faith (credo ut intelligam et intelligo ut credam). The function of science is as the main path to the sacred. He did not claim that science was wrong, but that it was its philosophical grounds that he thought transcended boundaries.

Abstract

This article is the result of research on interpretations by several Muslim intellectuals on gender equality in Indonesia, namely M. Quraish Shihab, Masdar F. Mas'udi, Zaitunah Subhan, Nasaruddin Umar, Husein Muhammad. They are interpreters of the early generations of Indonesia who interpret the Qur'an about gender equality. There are many studies on the interpretation of gender equality in Indonesia, however the mapping of methodology and typology of several interpretations of gender equality in Indonesia does not yet exist. This type of research is a library with descriptive-analytic-typological form. the results of the research on the methodological map and typology of the interpretation of gender equality in Indonesia are:1. Abstract

This article is the result of a research that did with the purpose to know the process of Islam Relation and local culture. The research is a study about sea alms tradition and also the religion values of Kertojayan village, Grabag district, Purworejo regency. The methoad of the research used qualitative approach with descriptive type. The subject is society of Kertojayan village. The result shows that; (1) Islam Relation process and local culture in sea alms ceremony tradition of Kertojayan village have brought by a missionary (Kiai) who involved in sea alms ceremony tradition and he got a support from regent of Purworejo. Some of peoples accept the tradition and they are moslem. (2) The religion values that consist in sea alms tradition of Kertojayan village have three three values, there are loyalty symbol and thank feel to Allah, religion values like recited the prays and attitude value such as cooperate to keep a clean area.
