Abstract

The aim of the research: to know and explain the behavior of shopping on line with the presence of internet campus; know and explain the result of consuming the internet information that is associated with the orientation of the actions symbolically. Research Method: grounded research. Research Results: Students provide the welcoming response of the presence of free internet. They choose to approach the library campus with free internet. The intensity of the visit to the library increased since the presence of free internet. Users like line online for information fashion. User Men prefer merk and newness to select fashion. While user women prefer unique to choose fashion. User men like fashion hair that moderate, such as old school. While user women tend to select hair care and more conservative. Here consumers online have dual needs response. The presence of students as consumers online in the library campus original purpose to do the task - the task lecture and then ( secondary ) to shopping online information world fashion. In the habit of behavior ( information behavior ), the destination position can may upside down, even before they were looking for lecture material online, they first need rilek moment (enjoy) with internet browsing activities. They have the level of need, i.e. if an information that is he was looking for it to have the value of the high needs, then they will find the information in more detail, complete, and hunt ( Quarry ). If a information while he was looking for it have the value that needs less, so they will search for information hopefully alone without you walk further. They prefer to compare fashion that used in its social environment. Online information about fashion looks powerful and made the primary source of information. While they are rarely use secondary sources of information. In his social environment, they usually prefer a friend that gadgetry and fashionable as a source of information.Tujuan penelitian: untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan perilaku shopping on line dengan hadirnya internet kampus; mengetahui dan menjelaskan akibat mengkonsumsi informasi internet, yang dikaitkan dengan orientasi tindakan simboliknya. Metode penelitian: grounded research. Hasil penelitian: Mahasiswa memberikan respon welcoming atas kehadiran internet gratis. Mereka memilih untuk mendekat perpustakaan kampus dengan internet gratis. Intensitas kunjungan ke perpustakaan meningkat semenjak hadirnya internet gratis. Users menyukai shoping online untuk informasi fashion. User laki-laki lebih menyukai merk dan newness untuk memilih fashion. Sementara user perempuan lebih menyukai yang unik untuk memilih fashion. User laki-laki menyukai fashion rambut yang moderat, seperti old school. Sementara user perempuan cenderung untuk memilih perawatan rambut dan lebih konservatif. Disini konsumen online memiliki respon kebutuhan ganda. Kehadiran mahasiswa sebagai konsumen online di perpustakaan kampus tujuan awalnya untuk mengerjakan tugas – tugas perkuliahan dan selanjutnya ( secondary ) untuk shopping online informasi dunia fashion. Dalam kebiasaan perilakunya ( information behavior ), posisi tujuan bisa mungkin terbalik, yakni sebelum mereka mencari materi perkuliahan online, mereka terlebih dahulu butuh rilek sejenak (enjoy) dengan melakukan aktivitas browsing internet. Mereka  memiliki level of need, yakni jika suatu informasi yang sedang ia cari  itu memiliki nilai kebutuhan yang tinggi, maka mereka akan mencari informasi itu secara lebih detail, lengkap, dan memburu ( Quarry ). Jika suatu informasi yang sedang ia cari itu memiliki nilai kebutuhan yang kurang, maka mereka akan mencari informasi sedapatnya saja tanpa menelusur lebih jauh. Mereka suka membandingkan fashion yang digunakan di lingkungan sosialnya. Informasi online tentang fashion tampak kuat sekali dan dijadikan sumber informasi primer. Sementara mereka itu jarang sekali menggunakan sumber informasi sekunder. Dalam lingkungan sosialnya, biasanya mereka lebih memilih teman yang gadget dan fashionable sebagai sumber informasi.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out information exchange by college student of Department Journalism Fikom Unpad 2010 generation. The purpose of this research is to find out the goal of using Kompasiana, the formulation of information process, the presentation of information and the information exchange that journalism college students did in social media Kompasiana. The method that used in this research is qualitative method with case studies approach. Obtainable data is by observation, deep interview and supported by social media expert. The result show that the purpose of college students used Kompasiana is to practice of writing and to share the information.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pertukaran informasi oleh mahasiswa jurnalisme Departemen Fikom Unpad generasi tahun 2010. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tujuan menggunakan Kompasiana, perumusan proses informasi, presentasi informasi dan pertukaran informasi yang mahasiswa jurnalisme di Kompasiana media sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data yang dapat diperoleh melalui pengamatan, wawancara mendalam dan didukung oleh pakar media sosial. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa tujuan mahasiswa digunakan Kompasiana adalah untuk latihan menulis dan untuk berbagi informasi.

Abstract

This study discusses the Design of "Library Friend" Program in the School Library Development at the Library of SMA Negeri 1 Gununghalu. The purpose of this study is to determine human resource management, the activities and techniques of "Library Friend" program implementation. The method used is a qualitative method of action research. The data were collected by interview, observation, library research and the collection of documentation. The Informants in this study are the coordinator of the library, library staff, teachers, and the students of SMAN 1 Gununghalu. The members involved in the program are the students and the library staff. The activities of the program are making competitions, such as: reading poetry competition, scientific work competition, storytelling, writing Sundanese short stories contest (culture), and an exhibition of the library. The technical implementation of the Library Friend program will have several stages of implementation such as: socialization, counseling together, inauguration, work-meeting, the implementation of activities, job evaluation and work reports of the Library Friend program.  Penelitian ini membahas Desain Program "Perpustakaan Teman" dalam Pengembangan Perpustakaan Sekolah di Perpustakaan SMA Negeri 1 Gununghalu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan manajemen sumber daya manusia, kegiatan dan teknik pelaksanaan program "Perpustakaan Teman". Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif penelitian tindakan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, studi pustaka dan pengumpulan dokumentasi. The Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah koordinator perpustakaan, staf perpustakaan, guru, dan siswa SMAN 1 Gununghalu. Anggota yang terlibat dalam program ini adalah mahasiswa dan staf perpustakaan. Kegiatan dari program ini membuat kompetisi, seperti: kompetisi membaca puisi, lomba karya ilmiah, cerita, menulis Sunda cerita lomba pendek (budaya), dan pameran perpustakaan. Teknis pelaksanaan program Teman Perpustakaan akan memiliki beberapa tahapan implementasi seperti: sosialisasi, konseling bersama-sama, peresmian, pertemuan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, evaluasi pekerjaan dan laporan kerja dari program Perpustakaan Teman.

Abstract

Reading a book or literature is an imperative reference source for students. Reading is an activity that can add insights and broaden our horizons. Reading is not only related to the teaching and learning process, but can also form the personality of individuals by comprehending fully the results of reading. Unfortunately, currently, student’s reading interest looks very minimal. The student’s low interest for reading can be seen from the number of visits in each campus library. There are several dominant factors which affect the student’s reading interest which are: a high curiosity on facts, theories, principles, knowledge and information; an adequate physical environment; a more conducive social environment; the thirst for information and curiosity; as well as the principle of life that reading is a spiritual necessity. This study examines the factors which are most dominant among those factors and how great the influence of each of these factors is against the interest in reading. The research population are students at ITB Library, samples have been simplified to 96 respondents, and the study used the explanatory survey methods. Data collection is obtained by observation, interview, questionnaire and literature study which are then analyzed by path analysis. The results showed that a more conducive social environment is the most dominant factor affecting the reading interest of students, followed by a high curiosity on facts, theories, principles, knowledge and information, and an adequate physical environment, then the thirst for information and curiosity as well as the principle of life that reading is a spiritual necessity. Membaca buku atau literatur adalah sumber referensi yang sangat penting bagi mahasiswa. Membaca merupakan suatu kegiatan yang dapat menambah wawasan dan memperluas cakrawala kita. Membaca tidak hanya berkaitan dengan proses belajar mengajar saja, tetapi juga dapat membentuk kepribadian individu dengan menghayati hasil bacaannya. Sayangnya, minat baca mahasiswa saat ini terlihat sangat minim.. Rendahnya minat baca mahasiswa dapat dilihat dari jumlah kunjungan yang ada di setiap perpustakaan kampus. Ada beberapa faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi minat baca mahasiwa yaitu: rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi atas fakta, teori, prinsip, pengetahuan dan informasi; keadaan lingkungan fisik yang memadai; keadaan lingkungan sosial yang lebih kondusif; rasa haus informasi dan rasa ingin tahu; serta berprinsip hidup bahwa membaca merupakan kebutuhan rohani. Penelitian ini mengkaji faktor manakah yang paling dominan diantara faktor-faktor tersebut dan seberapa besar pengaruh masing-masing faktor tersebut terhadap minat baca. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa di Perpustakaan UPT ITB dengan sampel yang telah disederhanakan sebanyak 96 responden dengan metode survey eksplanatori. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, kuesioner dan studi pustaka yang kemudian dianalisis dengan path analysis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pengolahan data yang telah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa keadaan lingkungan sosial yang lebih kondusif merupakan faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi minat baca mahasiswa, disusul rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi atas fakta, teori, prinsip, pengetahuan dan informasi, lalu keadaan lingkungan fisik yang memadai, kemudian rasa haus informasi dan rasa ingin tahu serta berprinsip hidup bahwa membaca merupakan kebutuhan rohani.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the particular information literacy librarian at the University of Padjadjaran. This study covers the competency of information literacy librarian at the University of Padjadjaran and how it is applied in the library. The method used in this research is a case study. Data processing is done by presenting a description of the results of interviews, observations in a narrative. The population in this study were librarians and other library staff in the University of Padjadjaran. The samples were done by purposive sampling on a limited number of library staff who have become functional librarian at the University of Padjadjaran. The results showed that the competency of information literacy librarian at the University of Padjadjaran own good. They've been able to determine their information needs and understand the information needs of users in the library. The search capabilities of information still be done simply. They have not used a technique effective and efficient search either for himself or when serving users. Knowledge of search engine is also still inadequate so that it can inhibit the process of information retrieval. The information they get used and applied to improving the competence and professionalism of their work as a librarian. Librarian at the University of Padjadjaran implement these capabilities in serving the information needs of users. They disseminate these capabilities to others, especially the user. The hope is that users and others are able to use it to be able to overcome any problems encountered in the academic environment and can be used in lifelong learning activities.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana literasi informasi para putakawan khususnya di lingkungan Universitas Padjadjaran. Penelitian ini mencakup kompetensi literasi informasi para pustakawan di Universitas Padjadjaran dan bagaimana penerapannya di perpustakaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menyajikan deskripsi hasil wawancara, pengamatan dan observasi secara naratif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah para pustakawan dan tenaga perpustakaan lainnya yang ada di lingkungan Universitas Padjadjaran. Penentuan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling yaitu hanya pada sejumlah staf perpustakaan yang telah menjadi fungsional pustakawan di Universitas Padjadjaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi literasi informasi pustakawan di Universitas Padjadjaran sudah baik. Mereka sudah dapat menentukan kebutuhan informasinya dan memahami kebutuhan informasi pengguna di perpustakaannya. Kemampuan penelusuran informasi masih dilakukan secara sederhana. Mereka belum menggunakan teknik penelusuran yang efektif dan efisien baik untuk kepentingan dirinya maupun pada saat melayani pengguna. Pengetahuan tentang search engine juga masih kurang memadai sehingga dapat menghambat proses penelusuran informasi. Informasi yang mereka dapatkan digunakan dan diterapkan untuk peningkatan kompetensi dan profesionalisme kerja mereka sebagai pustakawan. Pustakawan di Universitas Padjadjaran menerapkan kemampuannya tersebut dalam melayani kebutuhan informasi pengguna. Mereka menyebarluaskan kemampuannya tersebut kepada orang lain terutama pengguna. Harapannya adalah agar pengguna dan orang lain mampu memanfaatkannya untuk dapat mengatasi setiap permasalahan yang dihadapi di lingkungan akademik dan dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan belajar sepanjang hayat.

Abstract

Research on the subject of rural poor has always had a strategic value in the constellation of Indonesia human development, especially development oriented poverty reduction efforts. This research aims to study further aspects of rural poor experience related to their work, especially in terms of information behavior. The research method used was qualitative, with data collection through observation and depth interviews with 22 informants categorized as poor in the rural southern part of West Java. The research result shows that: (1) the involvement of the information seeking and used in connection with the work of the rural poor, are generally embedded and embodied in the form of odd jobs; (2) the scope of the types and sources of information seeking and used by rural poor people, is very limited, namely about the neighbors, close relatives, and others similar work.Penelitian dengan subjek penduduk miskin pedesaan selalu memiliki nilai strategis dalam konstelasi pembangunan manusia Indonesia seutuhnya, utamanya pembangunan yang berorientasi pada upaya pengurangan angka kemiskinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih jauh mengenai aspek pengalaman penduduk miskin pedesaan terkait pekerjaan mereka, terutama dilihat dari sisi perilaku informasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap 22 orang informan berkategori miskin di pedesaan Jawa Barat Bagian Selatan. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa: (1) keterlibatan informasi yang dicari dan digunakan terkait pekerjaan orang miskin di pedesaan, umumnya melekat dan mewujud dalam bentuk pekerjaan serabutan; (2) ruang lingkup dari jenis dan sumber-sumber informasi yang dicari dan digunakan oleh orang miskin pedesaan, amat terbatas, yakni seputar tetangga, kerabat dekat, dan sesama pekerjaan sejenis.

Abstract

This research aims to know the needs of student information which can be met from SiAMEL. This research also aims to develop the database, and display the output from the application of the Public Users on SiAMEL module. The method used in this study is Action Research. Data collection techniques by way of observation, interview, note the field and study the literature. This research has resulted in the development of SiAMEL that can meet the needs of student information as Public Users among others: Data Lecturer, Data institution/ Institutions for MORNING, data proposed problem, as well as data about the schedule. Through this research has been done on the conversion some tables that are adjusted with the needs of the Public Users SiAMEL. In addition, page view early SiAMEL become open to public Users and changes to the navigation buttons (menu) SiAMEL. Some of the output SiAMEL changed some details that adjusted with the status of access authority SiAMEL, whether as administrator or as a Public Users.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa yang dapat dipenuhi dari SiAMEL. Selain itu juga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan database, tampilan serta output dari aplikasi Modul Public Users pada SiAMEL. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Action Research. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan cara observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, serta studi literatur. Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan pengembangan SiAMEL yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa sebagai Public Users antara lain: Data Dosen, Data Instansi/ Lembaga untuk PKL,  data Usulan Masalah, serta data tentang Jadwal Sidang. Melalui penelitian ini telah dilakukan pengubahan pada beberapa tabel yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan Public Users SiAMEL. Selain itu, tampilan halaman awal SiAMEL menjadi terbuka untuk Public Users serta perubahan pada navigasi (menu) SiAMEL. Beberapa output SiAMEL diubah beberapa detail yang disesuaikan dengan status otoritas akses SiAMEL, apakah sebagai Administrator atau sebagai Public Users.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and understand the document management activities on Inspektorat pembantu Kota Administrasi Jakarta Selatan. Document management activities are selec- ting, assessing, analyzing, inerpreting and finding materials. There are several stages on document management, invention and enrollment, retention, distribution, and human resources. The method wich used on this research is descriptive qualitative method, the data collection techniques are interviews, observations, and literature. The results showed that Inspektorat Pembantu Kota Administrasi Jakarta Selatan did document mana- gement, so that documents can be managed in according to the state of human resouces perfor- mance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami kegiatan pengelolaan dokumen di Inspektorat Pembantu Kota Ad- ministrasi Jakarta Selatan. Kegiatan pengelolaan dokumen merupakan kegiatan memilih, menilai, menganalisis, menerjemahkan dan menemu kem- bali kan materi. Ada beberapa tahap dalam penge- lolaan dokumen yaitu penciptaan dan penerimaan, peyimpanan, distribusi, dan SDM. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah metode Kua- litatif Deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, observasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Inspektorat Pembantu Kota Administrasi melakukan Penge- lolaan Dokumen, Sehingga dokumen yang ada da- pat dikelola dengan baik sesuai dengan keadaan kinerja SDM

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the use of open library digital library services  in meeting the information needs of Telkom University students. The study used the qualitative method with case study approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews with Telkom University students, observation, and literature study. Study results showed that the initial stage was based on the motivation and goals arising from self-awareness and the need to increase knowledge in completing tasks and scientific works (thesis/TA). Browsing began with authentication using an SSO account (Igracias), and information retrieval began with using a simple search facility. Students also used the internet to access various other sources with the Google search engine to further enrich the required information. Then, At the formulation stage, students conducted brainstorming by learning and understanding the problem-solving process related to the appropriate topic and discussing it with friends, lecturers, or people who were considered understandable and could be invited to discuss related topics that were being deepened. The collection stage was done by downloading the file and storing it in their laptop folder. At the presentation stage, students would feel satisfied after getting the information so it is possible to do monitoring.  The presentation was performed in the form of writing a new document or as a complement in both the completion of lecture assignments (proposal and paper) as well as the writing of scientific papers (thesis/TA).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the activities of the document management of legal products in legal counseling activities at Legal Bureau and Human Rights of Regional Secretariat in West Java Province. The method in this research used qualitative study. Technical data collection conducted through by observation, interviews and literature study. Data analysis technique done with triangulation and based to Miles and Huberman namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The result of research showed that the document management of legal products in Legal Bureau and Human Rights following based of documentation from Landau that which recording includes legislation program activities, organization includes processing and storage, and dissemination includes counseling and information disseminated. Based on research results it can be concluded that the document management of legal products in Legal Counseling activities at Legal Bureau and Human Rights Regional Secretariat of West Java Province has been done based to the documentation from Landau.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kegiatan manajemen dokumen produk hukum dalam kegiatan penyuluhan hukum di Biro Hukum dan HAM Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan studi penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan triangulasi dan teknik analisis data menurut Miles dan Huberman yaitu Data Reduction, Data Display dan Conclusion Drawing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan manajemen dokumen produk hukum di Biro Hukum dan HAM Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat mengikuti kaidah dokumentasi menurut Landau yang mencakup recording yang meliputi kegiatan perumusan, organization yang meliputi kegiatan penyusunan dan penyimpanan serta dissemination yang meliputi kegiatan penyuluhan dan penyebarluasan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa manajemen dokumen produk hukum di Biro Hukum dan HAM Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat telah dilakukan sesuai dengan kaidah dokumentasi menurut Landau.
