Abstract

The empowerment approach becomes the main base of West Bandung Regency Government in the development of society to welcome the development of industrial estate. Empowerment has the meaning of generating resources, opportunities, knowledge, and skills to increase capacity in determining the future. Researchers are interested in conducting initial mapping in advance about environmental conditions, socio-economic conditions, government policies, responses, and community needs related to the development of industrial parks. The community empowerment conducted by the working group working together with the agriculture department, Disperindag, and BPWC and getting full support from the village of Margalaksana itself. There are many activities conducted by the working group by utilizing the natural potential that exist in Margalaksana Village. Some potentials of the Community Empowerment Program in Margalaksana Village: 1) The potency of fish using floating net pond in Cirata reservoir; 2) The potency of batik; 3) The potency of water hyacinth waste; and 4) The potency of tourism. Human capital plays a major role in as a modifying factor of community resources in achieving the success of the empowerment process. Good human capital is characterized by the level of education that able to provide motivation so as to develop independence in the community.

Abstract

Mengenali nominal pada uang kertas merupakan salah satu kompetensi dasar yang harus dimiliki masyarakat. Walaupun uang kertas rupiah sudah dilengkapi dengan blind code (penanda khusus bagi disabilitas netra), namun, bagi sebagian penyandang disabilitas netra, terutama anak-anak yang mengalami hambatan penglihatan, mengenali nominal uang kertas menjadi tantangan unik dan kendala tersendiri. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari riset ini adalah untuk melakukan pemetaan kendala yang dihadapi disabilitas netra saat mengenali nominal uang kertas rupiah. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus deskriptif, dengan kasus tunggal yang bersifat intrinsik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan, antara lain, dengan cara observasi, focus group discussion, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik penentuan sampel dilakukan secara purposif terhadap populasi yang menjadi peserta pada pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi blind code bagi penyandang disabilitas netra. Kegiatan ini menghadirkan pembicara dari pihak Bank Indonesia, dan berlokasi di SLBN A Kota Bandung. Adapun hasil pemetaan kendala menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan ukuran kertas untuk berbagai nominal pada uang kertas rupiah memberikan tantangan tersendiri bagi penyandang disabilitas netra. Selain itu, jenis kertas yang mudah lusuh, penggunaan blind code yang bervariasi pada beberapa emisi, keberadaan Blind code yang kurang tegas saat dilakukan perabaan, intaglio penanda lain acap kali mengaburkan konsentrasi penyandang disabilitas netra dalam mencari blind code. Warna dan gambar yang relatif mirip juga dianggap kurang memudahkan upaya penyandang disabilitas netra dalam mengenali uang kertas pada konteks transaksi yang membutuhkan waktu singkat.

Abstract

This study will find out the pattern of information retrieval about Islamic studies carried out by visual impairments people. This study uses a case study method. Respondents in this study were Muslim women with disabilities in the rehabilitation complex of the blind Wiyataguna, Bandung. The results showed that people with visual impairments used narrative sounds on their mobile phones to capture narrative voice abilities that were arranged at high speed. At first they used standard speed settings, but when the skill of capturing audio through the sense of hearing increased, they set the pace of the narrative to be very fast, so that other people had difficulty listening to it.AbstrakPenelitian ini berusaha untuk mengetahui pola pengambilan informasi mengenai studi Islam yang dilakukan oleh orang yang mengalami gangguan penglihatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah perempuan Muslim penyandang cacat yang berada di komplek rehabilitasi orang buta Wiyataguna, Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang-orang dengan gangguan penglihatan menggunakan suara naratif pada handphone untuk menangkap kemampuan suara naratif yang diatur dengan kecepatan tinggi. Pada mulanya mereka menggunakan pengaturan kecepatan standar, namun ketika  keterampilan  menangkap audio melalui indera pendengaran meningkat, mereka mengatur laju narasi menjadi sangat cepat, sehingga orang lain sulit untuk mendengarkannya.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSementara ini banyak orang beranggapan bahwa penggunaan tanaman obat atau obat tradisional relatif lebih aman dibandingkan obat sintesis. Walaupun demikian bukan berarti tanaman obat atau obat tardisional tidak memiliki efek samping yang merugikan, bila penggunaannya kurang tepat. Agar penggunaannya optimal, perlu diketahui informasi yang memadai tentang kelebihan dan kelemahan serta kemungkinan penyalahgunaan obat tradisional dan tanaman obat. Dengan informasi yang cukup diharapkan masyarakat lebih cermat untuk memilih dan menggunakan suatu produk obat tradisional atau tumbuhan obat dalam upaya kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana jejaring komunikasi dalam penyebaran informasi mengenai obat herbal pada masyarakat pengguna obat obatan herbal. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan data kualitatif yang dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran angket terbuka, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini antara lain: penyebaran informasi obat obatan herbal dalam jejaring komunikasi dalam komunitas pengguna obat obatan herbal, meliputi sumber yaitu keluarga, saudara, kerabat yang dikenal, teman, dan penjual jamu. Adapun pihak komunikasnnya meliputi: keluarga, saudara, teman, tetangga dan pembeli. Sedangkan usulan yang dapat disarankan adalah pemerintah sebagai pihak pengatur regulasi dan pelaksana kebijakan sebaiknya menambah media-media komuniasi guna penyebaran informasi yang tepat mengenai jamu, melalui pembuatan media-media yang disesuaikan dengan keterjangkauan masyarakat yang mengkonsumsi jamu di Indonesia, agar masyarakat dengan mudah dapat memperoleh pencerahan informasi, sehingga pemanfaatan jamu yang bersifat “katanya” dapat secara bertahap dikurangi untuk menghindari kesalahan informasi. Kata kunci: jejaring, komunikasi, obat herbal, tanaman obat.ABSTARCTMany people believe that herbal medicines or traditional medicines are relatively safer than synthetic medicine. But then, if it is not consumed properly, it is not safe to say that herbal or traditional medicines have no harmful side effects. To make sure an optimal consumption, adequate information on the benefit and disadvantage of herbal or traditional medicine is required to prevent the misuse of it. With adequate information, it is hoped that people would be more mindful in consuming the traditional or herbal medicine. The purpose of this research is to understand herbal medicine consumer communication network in information dissemination. Method of research applied is descriptive with qualitative data through open survey questionnaire, observation, and interviews. The findings of this research shows that information dissemination of herbal medicines sources includes: family, relatives, friends, and “jamu” sellers. While the communicator includes: family, relatives, friends, neighbours, and buyer. The suggestion coming from this research are: government as a regulatory and policymaking institution should increase the number of communication media for information dissemination on “jamu”. The communication media should be able to reach consumer of “jamu”, so that the public would receive information easily on the consumption, which gradually will reduce the misuse of “jamu” for the consumer. Abstract

Gender inequality is a phenomenon that occurs in society without being denied. Women 's March activists who are also gender activists that oppose gender inequality with all their efforts have a lot of experience in fighting gender inequality and various motives in facing it all. The existence of individual experience in dealing with reality influences the individual's view of seeing the social world. Like their perspective in constructing the meaning of inequality. Therefore this research aims to find out how is the construction of the meaning of gender inequality base on the perspective of  Women’s March Bandung activists. This research took five informants who became activists on gender issues such as activists from Women’s March Bandung. This research is qualitative research, a phenomenological approach and using the theory of phenomenology Alfred Schutz. With data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observation, literature study. And triangulators as validation and validity of data. The results of the research showed that the construction of the meaning of gender inequality gave results that showed an interactive based results between inequality and gender itself in this research with more than one factor. Namely, the concept of gender and patriarchy is the cause of the occurrence of gender injustice with all of its aspects. Then how is feminism as an ideology and movement against the cases of gender inequality? Motives and experiences become factors that influence informants in constructing the meaning of gender inequality. Motives here are divided into because of motive, and in order to motive, which influences them in taking action. Motives also influence their actions to produce various experiences, such as experience before declaring themselves as an activist of gender issues and their experience when they became activists of gender issues. The conclusion of this research showed that there is also an interactive relationship between each concept and model.

Abstract

This research try to investigate the using of language by deaf. The theory used in thisresearch is the theory of Phenomenology Schutz. This research used constructivismparadigm with Phenomenology as the kind of research. Data collection techniques thatused are in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and the study of librarianship,the collecting techniques of key informants by snowball sampling. While the dataanalysis techniques using three stages, the first is reduction, the second is rendering,and the third is the withdrawal of the conclusion. Validity of data uses triangulationtechniques sources and triangulation techniques. The results of this research showthat the meaning of Bisindo as Deaf Culture for the informants who are the memberof DPC Gerkatin Jawa Barat, is categorized as affirmative meaning. The meaning of theaffirmative that is owned by the informants is when the informants consider that Bisindoas Deaf Culture, is an interest and pride. The study also found motifs belonging to theinformants in lifting the existence of Bisindo as Deaf Culture, not only the cause-motifbut also the purpose-motif. The informant’s experience, include the early experience inhow they get interest to Bisindo, the experience of using Bisindo, and the experienceto raise the existence of Bisindo as Deaf Culture that finally those communicationexperiences affect the way informants in conducting follow-up. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang bahasa yang digunakan kaum tuli. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori fenomenologi Schutz. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme dengan jenis penelitian fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan antara lain wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi kepustakaan, dengan teknik pengumpulan key informant dengan cara snowball sampling. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan tiga tahap, yaitu reduksi, penyajian, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa makna Bisindo sebagai Budaya Tuli bagi para informan yang merupakan anggota Gerkatin DPC Jawa Barat dikategorikan sebagai makna afirmatif. Makna-makna afirmatif yang dimiliki para informan adalah ketika informan menganggap Bisindo sebagai Budaya Tuli adalah sebuah kepentingan dan kebanggaan. Penelitian ini juga menemukan motif-motif yang dimiliki informan dalam mengangkat eksistensi Bisindo sebagai Budaya Tuli, baik itu motif sebab atau motif tujuan. Adapun pengalaman yang dimiliki informan, meliputi pengalaman awal ketertarikan pada Bisindo, pengalaman menggunakan Bisindo, dan pengalaman mengangkat eksistensi Bisindo sebagai Budaya Tuli yang akhirnya pengalaman komunikasi tersebut mempengaruhi cara informan dalam melakukan tindak lanjut

Abstract

Research on the subject of rural poor has always had a strategic value in the constellation of Indonesia human development, especially development oriented poverty reduction efforts. This research aims to study further aspects of rural poor experience related to their work, especially in terms of information behavior. The research method used was qualitative, with data collection through observation and depth interviews with 22 informants categorized as poor in the rural southern part of West Java. The research result shows that: (1) the involvement of the information seeking and used in connection with the work of the rural poor, are generally embedded and embodied in the form of odd jobs; (2) the scope of the types and sources of information seeking and used by rural poor people, is very limited, namely about the neighbors, close relatives, and others similar work.Penelitian dengan subjek penduduk miskin pedesaan selalu memiliki nilai strategis dalam konstelasi pembangunan manusia Indonesia seutuhnya, utamanya pembangunan yang berorientasi pada upaya pengurangan angka kemiskinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih jauh mengenai aspek pengalaman penduduk miskin pedesaan terkait pekerjaan mereka, terutama dilihat dari sisi perilaku informasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap 22 orang informan berkategori miskin di pedesaan Jawa Barat Bagian Selatan. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa: (1) keterlibatan informasi yang dicari dan digunakan terkait pekerjaan orang miskin di pedesaan, umumnya melekat dan mewujud dalam bentuk pekerjaan serabutan; (2) ruang lingkup dari jenis dan sumber-sumber informasi yang dicari dan digunakan oleh orang miskin pedesaan, amat terbatas, yakni seputar tetangga, kerabat dekat, dan sesama pekerjaan sejenis.

Abstract

Scavenger is a profession that is identical to the waste. Waste has the impression of dirty and contain unclean elements in it that far from the impression well worth to clean concept juxtaposed with the concept of clean and holy. Whereas every Muslim is required to be free from both large and small hadats and in the state of purification when conducting religious activities, must purify themselves, their clothes, or the place to be used to pray. The scavenger who becomes the respondents was the muslims scavengers which would require to run the order to conduct worship, one of them worship rituals that sharia compliant. This study  was conducted to explain the perception and behavior of scavengers at the landfill in religious activity, in connection with the work which is not far from the dirty waste. The method is performed in a descriptive way, with data collected using the open questionnaire, interviews, and observation. The results obtained indicate that: there are scavengers who participate in religious activities held around their neighborhood temporarily domiciled, with motives to stay in touch, gain knowledge, seek peace of mind, and gain merit from God. While the obstacles faced by scavengers to participate in these activities revolve around the limitations of time, psychologically feel they do not have the supporting facilities and equipment for these activities, as well as the stereotypes of a small number of individuals in the surrounding environment to their existence in these activities.

Abstract

  This study titled "AQUA Brand Image-Concept Management as a Bijak Berplastik Brand through AQUA Life Product" is a descriptive study with qualitative data type that focuses on knowing AQUA Brand Image-Concept Management as a Bijak Berplastik Brand through AQUA Life product. This study aims to answer questions regarding; 1) step of Consumer Needs Matching, 2) step of Identify Potential Brand Image, 3) step of Identify the Brand Concept, and 4) step of Selecting Brand Image-Concept Strategy on Brand Image-Concept Management as a Bijak Berplastik Brand through AQUA Life product. Data collection techniques used included interviews with eight key informants, non-participatory observation, and literature study. Technical validity of the data using source triangulation. The results of this study revealed that; 1) AQUA has carried out ideal consumer matching needs, but can still be optimized by categorizing products, segmenting benefits, and current needs of consumers that are done more specifically, 2) AQUA is still not optimal in identifying potential brand images, where AQUA has not done the verification process data in market research, 3) AQUA is still not optimal in identifying brand concepts, namely in mapping experiential abstractions delivered to consumers through AQUA Life products, 4) AQUA is still not optimal in selecting potential brand image-concepts, that is, it has not distributed its products to all distribution channels where product availability has an influence on buying interest and attractiveness of consumers to the desired product AQUA Life can form the brand image of AQUA as a Bijak Berplastik brand. Keywords: brand image management; brand concept; brand image-concept; AQUA Life Keywords: brand image management; brand concept; brand image-concept; AQUA Life

Abstract

Persaingan industri pertelevisian semakin ketat dan memaksa para pelaku industri untuk dapat menciptakan merek perusahaan yang kuat untuk dapat memimpin pasar dan mencapai tujuan pemasaran. Maka dari itu diperlukan strategi merek untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut. Inspira TV sebagai televisi digital yang baru hadir di tengah masyarakat memerlukan strategi merek untuk memperkuat mereknya sebagai stasiun televisi digital yang inspiratif dan positif. Maka dari itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi public relations dalam kelima tahapan strategi merek yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap memposisikan merek, tahap pengenalan merek perusahaan, tahap manajemen merek dan tahap menjaga merek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan jenis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa fungsi PR dalam tahap perencanaan Inspira TV diawali dengan menentukan target sasaran, melakukan riset pasar, penyampaian informasi dan membangun hubungan internal kemudian terbentuk strategi merek Inspira TV, fungsi PR pada tahap memposisikan merek dilakukan dengan menetapkan perbedaan program Inspira TV dan TV lain kemudian dibangun melalui market positioning dan brand image positioning, fungsi PR dalam tahap mengenalkan merek perusahaan adalah dengan mensosialisasikan perusahaan berserta produknya melalui strategi on air, off air, online dan pelaksanaan kegiatan sosial dengan tujuan untuk menciptakan citra positif dan dukungan publiknya, fungsi PR dalam tahap manajemen merek adalah dengan melakukan Customer Relation Management (CRM) dan media relations, fungsi PR dalam tahap menjaga merek adalah dengan mendaftarkan merek secara hukum, menjaga kualitas program dan menjaga citra perusahaan.
