Abstract

Tetanus Toxoid (TT) immunization for pregnant women is a crucial public health issue. This study aimed to identify the predisposing and reinforcing factors and their association with the completion of TT immunization for pregnant women. This mixed-method research included 50 pregnant women in their 2nd and 3rd trimesters who attend the Posyandu and three mother-and-child health (MHC) workers in Getasan Public Health Center. The predisposing factors include knowledge and attitude of the pregnant women and reinforcing spouse support and perception toward health workers. The result shows a significant correlation among predisposing and reinforcing factors with the completion of TT immunization. On the other hand, the MHC workers indicate loss of follow-up and maladministration, which further act on TT immunization among pregnant mothers. We suggest MHC workers strengthen the administration and education among pregnant women

Abstract

The number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is increasing. In Indonesia, 52% of pregnant women are infected with Covid19. Women who are confirmed positive will experience long-term effects, especially pregnant women. This study aimed to determine APGAR skor yang dilahirkan oleh ibu hamil yang pernah terinfeksi Covid-19. The population in this study was 33 pregnant women who had been infected with Covid-19 during pregnancy, and all of them were sampled in this study because the sampling used a total sampling technique. The method used is an observational cohort study. The measuring instrument in this study used an observation sheet. Data analysis using the ANOVA test. The results of this study, a p-value of 0.142, are more significant than 0.05, indicating the hypothesis is rejected. There is no significant difference in APGAR scores in pregnant women who have been infected with Covid-19 in the 1st trimester, 2nd trimester or 3rd trimester. This happens because there is a possibility that Covid-19 in the study sample is not the only risk factor that affects the APGAR score.

This research was a quantitative study with a quasi-experiment control group design with pretest-posttest. Sampling techniques use purposive sampling. The results of bivariate olive oil analysis with the Wilcoxon test showed P-value (0.647 α 0.05), so there was no effect of topical application of olive oil on the incidence of striae gravidarum.  The results of bivariate analysis of Aloe vera gel with Wilcoxon test showed a P-value (0.642 α 0.05), so there was no effect of topical application of Aloe vera gel on the incidence of striae gravidarum. Based on the Independent Test T-Test the difference between the two groups pre-post obtained P-value (1 α 0.05), then there was no difference in the effectiveness of the topical application of olive oil and aloe vera gel to the incidence of striae gravidarum in pregnant women in The Region of Puskesmas Kedungmundu 2020.
