Abstract

This research aims to: determine the factors that influence patchouli production, and analyze the relationship between the amount of production and the quality and price of patchouli oil in West Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency. The research was carried out from March to April 2022. The research population was 40 patchouli farmers and 5 patchouli oil refining business owners. The data collected includes: use of production inputs (land area, seeds, fertilizer and labor), quantity and quality of production, and price of patchouli. Data analysis was carried out using the Cobb-Douglas production function and chi-square. The results of the research show that: the production factor that has a real influence on patchouli production is the number of seeds, while the production factors that have an insignificant influence are land area, amount of fertilizer and labor. There is no real relationship between the amount of patchouli production and the quality of patchouli oil, while there is a real relationship between the amount of production and the price of patchouli oil. Key words: production; processing; patchouli oil

KUBE Sambal as a business institution aims to gain profit in every activity. Therefore, the aim of this research is: to describe the business profile, analyze the feasibility and break-even point of the KUBE Sambal business. The method used is the survey method. Data was taken through observations and interviews which included business profile data, sales results, total costs, selling prices and production volume from April to May 2021. Data was analyzed using Revenue Cost Ratio (R-C Ratio) and Break-Even Point (BEP) analysis. The research results show that the KUBE Sambal business has not developed, where the production, marketing and general administration aspects require many improvements and changes. Apart from that, this business is feasible to run because the R-C Ratio value is 1.34 which is greater than 1. Then, this business is also above the break-even point for product quantity and also break-even sales. Break-even product quantity is 106 units with break-even sales of IDR 1,599,598.-. Keywords: business analysis; R-C ratio; break-even point; gambir leaf herbal tea

Abstract

Study of the sago starch value chain can help determine the sago value chain and the added value of sago processing, so that it can be an effort to maintain the sustainability of the sago industry. The study was carried out in April 2022–January 2023 in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. The study population consists of 3 (three) categories, namely farmers, sago flour processors, and traders. Sample determination was carried out using the census method. The variables observed are input prices, production costs, output prices, added value, marketing volume, marketing costs. The analysis used is value chain analysis, added value, and marketing efficiency. The study results show that the sago starch value chain in Kendari City consists of 3 (three) segments, namely the upstream segment which includes raw material suppliers, namely farmers, the middle segment which has added value processes, and finally the downstream segment. The main actors in this value chain consist of farmers, home industries and distributors. The added value carried out in the process of processing sago stems into sago flour is IDR. 17,461.89 per kg obtained at Kube Maju Bersama, higher than the added value at UD. Konawe Songgi (Rp. 17,320.8 per kg) and UD. Dani Putra (Rp. 17,261.56 per kg). All sago starch processing industries in Kendari City are said to have efficient marketing, as indicated by a marketing efficiency value of < 33 percent. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the production of carambola tomato farming, and analyze the allocative efficiency of input use in carambola tomato farming in Muna Regency. The population in this study were all carambola tomato farmers in Kabawo District, Muna Regency. Sampling was carried out using a cluster random sampling technique. The number of samples in this study was 75 farmers. Data analysis used was multiple linear regression of the Cobb-Douglas production function model and allocative efficiency. The results showed that the factors that significantly influenced the production of carambola tomatoes were land area and fertilizer. While the factors that did not significantly influence the production of carambola tomatoes were seeds, herbicides, and labor. The use of land area inputs in carambola tomato farming in Muna Regency was not efficient, while the use of seed, herbicide, labor and fertilizer inputs was inefficient.
