Abstract

This paper reveals the phenomenon of South Sulawesi cummunity in looking at the custom. Bugis and Makassar society upholds and believes contains customary sanctity, generous nature, and sanctity. Basically is honesty and knowledge, being the aim is to benefit all the people, liked by people and received it with all willingness democratically. Therefore, it may not be changed much less canceled. The King with people already has been witness it to the Gods after confirmed as a permanent custom. Upon the acceptance of Islam (sara') became an integral part of panngadareng (customary system), the Bugis and Makassar social institutions acquire new colors, so that their obedience to sara' together with their adherence to other aspects panggadareng

Abstract

This paper explains about dynamics of Moslem’s life in Indonesia on the era of the Ducth Colonialism. In history, before European came to Indonesia, Islam had increased in Indonesia and had become majority religion since 13th century in Sumatera island. There, established an Islamic Kingdom, namely Samudra Pasai, and then transformed to Aceh Darussalam kingdom, furthermore, in the early of 15th century, Islam had dominated the region of Malaka (as a center of Southeast Asia trade).When Islam had come in Indonesia, spreading of Islam started by Islamic Scholars with huge motivation. Beside spreading Islam, they were trading also. The important role of scholar could be tracked on the Islamization map which is directly similar with economic development and the establishment of Islamic kindoms.In several region had become the center of trading. International Moslems whom became to important exponent and made communities on the beach area. Through this community, Islam had introducted to the society.However since The Ducthman came to Indonesia, trade situation had changed. Abstract

Minat orang Barat untuk mengkaji Timur termasuk Islam sudah berlangsung cukup lama dan telah menmpuh fase-fase historis tertentu. Setiap fase perkembangan  orientalis itu memiliki ciri dan tendensi yang berbeda. Fase sebelum melutusnya perang salib, tujuan para oritentalis  adalah memindahkan ilmu pengetahuan dari dunia Islam ke Eropa. Fase masa perang salib, Peter sebagai kepala Biara Cluny memerintahan para sarjana dan penerjemah untuk menerjemahkan teks-teks Arab ke bahasa latin. Dalam proses penerjemahan ini, terjadilah cerita-cerita negatif yang ditujukan kepada pribadi Nabi Muhammad saw. Cerita-cerita pada dasarnya akibat dari kekalahan Kristen dalam Perang Salib. Fase masa pencerahan di Eropa ditandai keinginan para orientalis untuk mencari kebenaran. Pada masa ini kekuatan rasio mulai meningkat sehingga lahirlah karya-karya yang dianggap objektif, bahkan berisi penghargaan kepada Nabi Muhammad dan Alquran. Hal ini didorong oleh motif ekonomi dan politik. Orang Barat pada saat ini, berkeinginan menguasai Timur, oleh karena itu dibutuhkan pengetahuan Timur secara objektif dan menyeluruh, agar dapat menyusun strategi  untuk mencapai tujuan itu. Mulai abad ke 19 sampai sekarang para orientalis secara teratur mengadakan kegiatan seperti kongres-kongres, mendirikan lembaga-lembaga kajian ketimuran, mendirikan  organisasi-organisasi ketimuran dan menerbitkan majalah-majalah.

Abstract

Since classical times, until the middle and modern century, Muslim has been  building relationships and communication with various centers of civilization and science in the world (including the West) to achieve greatness. Nevertheless, Islam has also gave a great contribution to the advancement of Europe and the West.  Relations between the two communities often arise because of hatred and hostility respectively fanaticism. History proves that from the beginning, the west has shown hostility towards Islam both as a religion or as a public entity that has a different culture and civilization with them. Some Moslem also addressing them  negatively and  positively that the west  can give a positive value to the Islamic civilization. Therefore, a wareness and dialogue among both civilizations are needed to maintain the harmony  relationships.

Abstract

Egypt was a province of moslem when Umayyah and Abbasiyah empire still exist in Arab. Egypt was an important province, because there is so much Islamic civilation. In history, so many empires was conrolled by the Egypt. One of the empire was exist in Egypt is Fathimiyah. Fathimiyah was an important empire, it can be seen by a lot of sciences had develop in North Africa and became a center of Islamic civilization development. Beside it, there was an empire had ever contolled Egypt, it was Mamluk. Mamluk Empire controlled Egypt and survived from Mongol’s attack when Abbasiyah Empire in Baghdad had fallen. It means Mamluk was powerful. Before Mamluk, Ayyubiyah controlled Egypt. Shalahuddin al-Ayyubi was a famous leader and founder this empire. When Shalahuddin became a leader, he could got back Yerussalem to be a Moslem Empire.

Abstract

Sastra Arab dalam sejarahnya itu ia mengalami perubahan yang cukup signifikan terutama pada masa pemerintahan Abbasiyah dan pada masa modern, perubahan tersebut berupa arabisasi (serapan kata dari bahasa Asing ke bahasa Arab) yang pada awalnya terjadi pada masa Abbasiyah kemudian berlanjut pada masa modern setelah sempat terhenti pada masa abad pertengahan. Perubahan itu terjadi karena pengaruh yang diberikan oleh agama Islam pada saat Nabi Muhammad diutus sebagai rasul yang membawa syari’, kemudian faktor lainnya adalah bercampurnya masyarakat Arab dengan kaum pendatang (asing) sehingga menyebabkan pertukaran fikiran yang mengakibatkan campuran kebudayaan. Kemudian faktor ketiga adalah adanya penerjemahan buku-buku bahasa asing yang mengakibatkan proses arabisasi seperti yang sudah disebutkan sebelumnya. Perubahan tersebut terus berlangsung hingga zaman sekarang dan akan terus berlanjut sampai akhir zaman. Mereka yang berperan mengembangkan sastra Arab pada masa kejayaan Islam  berasal dari berbagai suku bangsa, di antara mereka berasal dari jazirah Arab, Mesir, Romawi, Armenia, Barbar, Andalusia dan sebagainya. Walau berbeda bangsa namun mereka semua bersatu di atas Islam dan bahasa Arab, mereka berbicara dan menulis karya sastra serta berbagai kajian keilmuan lainnya dengan bahasa Arab.

Abstract

Kedatangan Islam di Nusantara dibawa oleh para pedagang dan ulama-ulama, mereka datang dari Arab, Persia maupun India, penyebarannya adalah berada pada jalur-jalur dagang internasional pada saat itu. Pendidikan Islam dilakukan dalam bentuk khalaqah di rumah-rumah pedangang ataupun ulama maupun dengan tauladan. Walisongo dalam penyebaran Islam di Jawa sangat berhasil karena mampu mengislamisasikan wilayah Jawa. Lembaga pendidikan yang digunakan adalah pesantren. Keberhasilannya didukung oleh pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kultur masyarakat Jawa.

Abstract

The history of human beings is an invaluable lesson, for it is rich with wisdoms. History contains significant events in the past is systematically organized and widely circulated to the societies as a repertoire of knowledge. History is an inherent element of human life, for history is an essential product of human civilization as well as a basic need of the human life per se. The Qur’an as a source of guidance integrates history into the moral narratives to provide moral lessons to human beings. It tells the stories of the societies in the past, their culture, civilization, and morality to serve as moral lessons that the current societies need to learn to maintain the harmony of their life.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the political map in South Sulawesi at the beginning of Islamization. There are three sub-problems that were subjected to this study, namely: (1) How did the social cultural situation of South Sulawesi society? (2) How did the political map both before and after Islam was accepted as the official religion in South Sulawesi Kingdom? (3) How did the impact of Western colonizers on the political landscape in South Sulawesi?In order to uncover the answers of those problems, researcher applied the historical method. The sources will be used is library literature. Library literature includes conceptions literature and research data. The data were obtained wiil be analyzed using qualitative data analysis.As a result of this research: First, the social cultural situation of South Sulawesi community can be seen by three tribes in the South Sulawesi, namely Bugis, Makassar and Toraja. These three tribes, had a different socio-cultural background, however, there are a same things in those tribes. Secondly, before the arrival of Islam in South Sulawesi, there are several kingdoms. That kingdoms had formed an alliance and still continue during the coming of Islam. Although the backgrounds and different forms of partnership. Third, the arrival of the West, particularly VOC brought penetration in various aspects of community life in South Sulawesi. Especially the political aspects, the Netherlands created hegemony, among the political forces. In that political forces appeared a lot of  conflict, especially among the Gowa Kongdom with Bone Kingdom.

Abstract

Hukum Islam merupakan bagian dari kehidupan umat Islam di Indonesia, menjadi sumber pembentukan dan pembinaan hukum Nasional. Eksisistensinya sangat kuat dan terbuka peluang proses pembentukan perundang-undangan melalui unifikasi atau kodifikasi guna mewujudkan hukum Islam atau menjadi hukum Nasional. Hukum Islam di Indonesia telah terjabarkan dalam bentuk perundang-undangan, menjadi landasan hukum  penyelenggaraannya di bawah kementerian agama dan peradilan agama yang memiliki kekuasaan yang sama dengan peradilan-peradilan yang lain. Tampak jelas, seperti UU No. 7 Tahun 1974 tentang perkawinan, UU No. 7 Tahun 1989 tentang Peradilan Agama, Inpres No. 1 tahun 1991 tentang Kompilasi Hukum Islam.
