Jurnal Al-Ijtima`i adalah jurnal yang bersifat ilmiah dari hasil penelitian, refleksi, dan studi kritis aktual sehubungan dengan tema pemerintahan, sosial, dan ilmu politik, baik di tingkat nasional, regional maupun internasional. Diterbitkan oleh LP2M Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh dengan pengelolaan di bawah Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Pemerintahan, Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Ar Raniry Banda Aceh. <![CDATA[Indonesian people who live in the village daily take care of plants in the fields and in the garden. The crop that is currently being planted is rice as a staple food. In managing rice, it is usually done by husband and wife together. Even so, the husband still does the heavy part and the wife does the light part, just like the husband who irrigates the plants and hoes and then the wife takes the weeds around the plants so that the plants grow optimally. The farmer household is one of the most decisive decision-making units in managing household needs, the decision-making process in the family is often dominated by the head of the family, researchers are interested in examining how social stratification and the implementation of rights and obligations of married couples in Banjarejo Village, Rejotangan District, Tulungagung Regency. This research method is qualitative with a field research approach. The data collection technique used in this study was conducted by interview. The results of the interview become primary data, this data is then analyzed using reduction techniques, presentation and conclusion drawing.]]>

<![CDATA[The triumph of Islamic politics in Andalusia (Spain) is one of the most glorious historical assets of Islam. In addition to the glory of Islam in Baghdad, Andalusia became an important civilization milestone as a bridge for Europe to pick up the enlightenment and golden phase. Although, the contribution of Islam to the glory of Modern Europe is not widely echoed by Western historians, the traces of its history cannot be erased. Through the works of Muslim intellectuals, such as Ibn Rushd, Ibn Bajah, Ibn Khaldun, and so on, Europeans were reminded of the classical traditions of their ancestors. The study of Islamic philosophy initiated by Muslim philosophers succeeded in reviving the classical tradition of Greek philosophy. This kind of scientific climate later became the trigger for the birth of the reform, renaissance, and modernization movements in mainland Europe. Undeniably, the political and intellectual triumph of Islam in Andalusia, which was geographically more accessible to Europeans than the Abbasids in Baghdad, became an important bridge for the rise of Europe to the pinnacle of modern civilization.]]>

<![CDATA[The school library is a library in a school to support the teaching and learning activities and objectives of the parent school. In terms of the collection, the library has a standard, both from the number of collections as well as the depth of the collection. There needs to be the selection policy as part of a collection development policy so that these standards are fulfilled. This paper uses literature study method. This paper provides guidance to the school librarian about the things that need to be considered in making the selection policy. Selection policy must consider the amount of collection, type of collection, the suitability of the curriculum, language, and so forth.]]>

<![CDATA[Public service is a responsibility that governments must render to their people, as efforts of the state to meet the needs of its citizens and the rights of their citizens. One form of public service required by governments in services is the provision of public transportation. But with the rapid advance in information technology in the globalization, transport services have emerged from many types, one of which is online-based transportation. However, the high interest the city of Banda Aceh on online transportation has led to a conflict between online transportation and conventional transport, using this type of qualitative research using descriptive methods. The results of this study suggest that the role of the ministry of decommissioning today in addressing the conflict between transportation online and conventional transport has not yet been established by the city Dinas Perhubungan Banda Aceh in regulating the smooth operation of both transports and the lack of the same facilities provided for them. As for the mediation strategy, the negotiations between the two transport groups have also not been carried out by the city's Banda Aceh Dinas Perhubungan which is aimed at resolving the conflict between the two.]]>

<![CDATA[Lately, there have been many incidents that have shocked the public, one of which is the bombing that occurred in Makassar under the guise of jihad fisabilillah. Many people are scared, non-Muslims become anxious, because they are scared if they become targets of terrorism. The violence that often occurs is an interesting topic to discuss together. Is it true what the jihadis say that is Religion that promotes this act of terrorism? In fact, if we look at religious values, there is no religion that teaches violence, no religion teaches killing fellow human beings. Moreover, the religion of Islam which loves peace and teaches love and compassion to all corners of the universe. However, if religion is not the real background, then what? Politics, transfer of issues and others. Many have misunderstood the interpretation of this jihad verse which has led to a misunderstanding of the teachings of jihadis terorisme. They think that this all-sophisticated and modern world is wrong, therefore they want to uphold the 'kedaulatan Allah' or what is commonly called the Islamic world which is ruled by the Khalifah which is actually no longer possible in this democratic country. This is a challenge for us to continue to study and deepen the science of religion properly so as not to be influenced by the teachings of the Jihadis terorisme.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper discusses the mental revolution which is interpreted as a fundamental change in people’s mindset, where the study is focused on how to deal with news that are still doubtful or questionable (hoaxes), such as by re-generating tabayun (correcting) the informations. Then, this paper explores a mental revolution that focuses on tabayun culture with the perspective of Islamic religious values ​​in the Quran and correlates between mental revolution and tabayun values. The final result, it was found that this tabayun values began to erode, marked by many misunderstandings that occurred in society and tabayun had to be raised again because it could have a positive impact and tackle the hoaxes for the society, which previously had to start with a mental revolution from not caring about the truth of news to critical attitudes.]]>

<![CDATA[This article studies a universal entitlement to education grant policy in Sabang that shows the exercise of discretionary power by a local government in Indonesia. The policy has been initiated by Sabang municipality of Aceh province to help students at primary and secondary schools who would otherwise struggle with the cost of education. Desk study and semi- structured interviews were conducted with the major and high-ranking officials from related government departments in Sabang. The results show the transfer of authority and responsibility under the decentralization is instrumental in supporting policy initiation and policy formulation at local level. Sub-national governments at a special region and a frontier region were given an authority to design an educational policy that ensure all students have better access to education. While mandatory financial functions of local authorities have not always been well defined, responsibility for establishing an education grant has not been easy to be understood, especially by lower tier of governments. However, Sabang Education Grant (SEG) has been evidence of how a municipality government exercise its discretionary power in decision-making. To implement such innovation policy, Sabang municipality government established the institution, regulate the operational procedures, provide the technical guideline, and developed the tools for internal controls.]]>

<![CDATA[The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the daily routine of work. Since the issuance of PP Number 21 of 2020 concerning Large-Scale Social Restrictions, activities in public places or public facilities have been limited with the aim of reducing the spread of Covid-19. Likewise with the learning process, the Covid-19 pandemic has changed the conventional face-to-face learning pattern to face-to-face online. Therefore, this study aims to determine how effective online learning is at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach with observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The research subjects are LPM UIN Ar-Raniry as policy makers as well as lecturers and students at UIN Ar-Raniry as implementers of online learning. The results of this study indicate that online learning at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh has not been effective, but to achieve this effectiveness the campus has tried as much as possible by doing several things, namely before the implementation of online learning activities the campus first designed planning and survey conditions and training to lecturers, then formulate policies, formulate goals and strategies, determine facilities and supervision which is carried out routinely through the Siakad portal.]]>

<![CDATA[The new virus is now known as the corona virus. Corona virus is a virus that attacks the respiratory system. A disease due to viral infection is called COVID-19. The majority of cases there is a corona virus in Wuhan, China. In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the corona virus as a pandemic. Pandemic COVID-19 becomes much discussed worldwide. This study aims to look at the impact of social phenomenon with the presence of the corona virus through various media; both print and electronic that led to symbolic violence. The results showed that the symbolic violence is present in a variety of ways with specific objectives.]]>

<![CDATA[This article is research on the implementation of e-Kinerja within the Banda Aceh City Government. In this paper, the author uses a descriptive qualitative approach and collects data through a study of existing documents. This method illustrates how the implementation of e-Kinerja is carried out by the Banda Aceh Government, which the author then compares with existing concepts, namely the concept of performance and reward and punishment. The results of this study are that the implementation of the e-Kinerja system carried out by the Banda Aceh City Government has a good impact on the regional civil apparatus, the government, the City Government Work Unit (SKPK), and the public. These impacts include making promotions and transfers based on equal job for equal pay for regional civil servants, facilitating supervision for the government, and knowing the effectiveness and efficiency of work units.]]>
