Abstract

This research focuses on two issues. First, how is legal protection provided to victims of fraudulent investment schemes through the XFA AI application? Second, what is the perspective of Islamic criminal law on fraudulent investment schemes through the XFA AI application? This research method utilizes library research, a type of normative juridical research. The collected data was analyzed descriptively and qualitatively, examining legal norms found in laws and regulations, as well as norms that emerge and develop within society. The results of this study conclude that: Legal protection for victims of fraudulent investment schemes through the XFA AI application can be implemented both preventively and repressively. Preventive efforts are implemented through education, supervision, and complaint services in accordance with Law No. 21 of 2011 concerning the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection

Abstract

This study examines the tradition of giving wedding money to newlyweds, known locally as basodo, from the perspective of Islamic Economic Law. The practice, which has been passed down through generations in Ngulak Village, Sanga Desa District, reflects a social form of cooperation and solidarity among community members. However, differences in intention and purpose have led to two distinct legal understandings of the practice. Using a qualitative field research approach, data were collected through observation, interviews with community leaders and residents, and documentation of gift records. The findings reveal that the basodo tradition in Ngulak Village consists of two types of contracts. The first type, when given sincerely without expecting any return, is categorized as a hibah (grant). The second, when accompanied by an expectation of repayment during future social events, corresponds to a qardh (loan) contract. Both contracts are valid under Islamic law as long as they fulfill the pillars and conditions of mutual consent, sincerity, and absence of usury or coercion. Nevertheless, when the practice is influenced by social pressure or material expectation, it deviates from the Islamic principles of voluntarism (ikhlas) and mutual assistance (ta‘awun). Therefore, this study concludes that the basodo tradition remains permissible within Islamic Economic Law if carried out with sincere intention and willingness. The study also suggests strengthening community understanding of hibah and qardh concepts to ensure that customary practices continue to reflect the ethical and moral values of Islam.

Abstract

Child marriage is a complex social issue that requires serious attention in Aceh, especially in Bener Meriah Regency. This study aims to analyze the factors causing child marriage and its impact on individuals and society. This study uses a mixed method approach. The results confirm that the factors causing child marriage are socio-cultural factors, media exposure, and sexual education. Socio-cultural factors are evident in the high correlation between child marriage and the community environment, such as economics, education, culture, society, and peer influence. Media exposure also contributes to encouraging children's freedom in accessing and using social media without restrictions from parents, and low comprehensive sexuality education due to the “sumang” culture also hinders the delivery of comprehensive sexuality education and knowledge to children and the community. Thus, this study is expected to contribute to efforts to prevent child marriage and raise public awareness about the importance of child protection and the fulfillment of children's rights.

Abstract

This study develops a strategic framework based on the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) to analyze the sustainability optimization of river-based ecotourism within peatland wetland ecosystems, with a focus on Lewu Rawan Bahalap in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan. Despite challenges such as limited capital and the need for rehabilitation of former sand mining areas, this destination has demonstrated positive growth in tourist visits. The study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach through a literature review, utilizing secondary data from academic sources and policy documents. The analysis focuses on the three TBL dimensions, People, Planet, and Profit. The findings indicate that while the destination possesses strengths in cultural authenticity and ecosystem uniqueness, it requires improvements in structured ecological restoration programs, diversified financing mechanisms, sustainable environmental monitoring systems, and strategic partnerships. This study proposes a sustainable development model consisting of five key components: collaborative governance, monitoring systems, capacity building, innovative financing (including Payment for Ecosystem Services), and adaptive resilience. The contribution of this research lies in the formulation of a strategic framework applicable to family-based ecotourism enterprises within post-extractive peatland ecosystems.

Abstract

The digitalization of tax administration has become a strategic agenda in modern fiscal governance reform. Indonesia addressed this challenge through the launch of the Core Tax Administration System (Coretax) in January 2025, integrating 21 tax administration modules into a single digital platform with an investment of IDR 1.2 trillion. Coretax is positioned as a primary instrument of fiscal bureaucratic reform within the Directorate General of Taxes. However, its implementation has encountered significant challenges, including technical disruptions, low user adoption, limited digital literacy, and stakeholder resistance. These issues reveal a gap between policy design and the practical realities of digital tax reform. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Coretax as an instrument of fiscal bureaucratic reform through the lens of Digital Era Governance (DEG), focusing on its three pillars: reintegration, needs-based holism, and digitization change. The study employs a systematic literature review with content analysis, drawing on national academic journals, tax regulations, and official reports from the Directorate General of Taxes. The analytical framework is grounded in Digital Era Governance, supported by New Public Management and Good Governance perspectives. The findings indicate that Coretax has achieved progress in system reintegration but continues to face deficits in service holism and comprehensive digital transformation. Optimizing Coretax requires strengthened change management, enhanced organizational capacity, and strategies to build public trust and fiscal legitimacy. This study contributes conceptually to the development of Digital Era Governance theory in the context of tax administration in developing countries while offering strategic recommendations for digital-based fiscal bureaucratic reform.

Abstract

Environmental cleanliness plays an important role in supporting sustainable tourism, as it affects destination perception, tourist satisfaction, and environmental sustainability, especially in tourist areas that are directly adjacent to local communities. This study aims to examine the role of the Palangka Raya City Tourism Office in managing environmental cleanliness in the Kereng Bangkirai Tourism Village as part of efforts to realize sustainable tourism. The results of the observation show that cleanliness management differs between the front area and the inner part of the tourist area. It also shows that inter-agency coordination and community participation are not yet optimal. This study conducted descriptive qualitative research using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the tourism sector is responsible for acting as a regulator, dynamizer, facilitator, and motivator in environmental cleanliness management. However, its implementation has not been fully optimal due to low collective awareness in some communities, inconsistent participation of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), and a lack of cross-sector coordination. Supporting factors include policy support and the availability of sanitation facilities, while inhibiting factors include limited resources and a lack of coordination among stakeholders.

Abstract

Current tourism development emphasizes a collaborative governance approach as an effort to realize sustainable and community-based destination management. The Kereng Bangkirai Pier area is a local destination in Central Kalimantan that has developed through collaboration involving the Tourism Office, local communities, the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), and tourism businesses. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of collaborative governance in community-based tourism destination management in the Kereng Bangkirai area. This study uses a qualitative approach through data collection techniques using literature study and documentation methods through direct observation at tourist sites. The results show that collaborative governance is formed through interactions between actors. However, in practice, it still faces challenges in the form of suboptimal coordination and uneven community participation. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening collaboration mechanisms to support the sustainability of tourism management in the Kereng Bangkirai Pier area.
