Abstract

The objectives of the study are: to analyze the level of preparedness of the stakeholdersin the adaptation and mitigation of floods in Surakarta, and to develop strategies to strengthen thecapacity of adaptation and mitigation of floods in Surakarta. Mixed-method of quantitative andqualitative has been employed to develop the strategy posed. The competent 15 keypersons wereselected using purposive quoted sampling for interview. Descriptive statistics and AHP wereemployed to analize the data. The results showed that that the stakeholders do not yet optimal inmitigation and adaptation to flooding. Capacity building strategy can be done through (a)developa strategic plan for overcoming Flood, (b) education, training and socialization of the adaptation and mitigation of flooding, (c) development and improvement of the physical aspects, (d)publicparticipation in flood mitigation, (e) planning and provision of logistics, funding, and equipment,(f) preparation of SOP flooding, and (g) encourage the protection of assets through insurance.

Abstract

Tourism sector represent important component in economics. Tourism sector development basicallyrepresent reference to see how big potency which can give benefit, not even in the case of acceptance state -area, but also aspect absorption and labour repair prosperity society systematically. Tourism sectorpotency Indonesia that owns of a number of tourism assets, especially cultural tourism. This assettourism characteristic indirectly exactly becomes distinguishing factor with other area. Therefore, needthere systematic sale pattern to support tourism potency.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of Effect of Good Corporate Governance, which includes: the size of the directors council, commissioner council, the total of commissioner council, and the audit committee of the companys performance. This research used a sample of 48 companies listed on the stock exchanges of Indonesia, by using purposive sampling which publishes financial report for 3 years from 2011-2013. The method analysis of this research  using multiple regression.Results from this research show that (1) The size of the council of directors significant positive effect to  the corporate performance , (2) Independent council commissioner wasn’t  significant effect to corporate performance (3) the total of council commissioner wasn’t significant effect to corporate performance (4) Audit Committee significant positive effect to  corporate performance (5) Simultan, Size of the directors council, Independent of the commissioners council, the total of commissioners council and the Audit Committee had a significant effect to the corporate performance.

Abstract

This research is executed as a mean to identify, analysing and giving empirical evidence hit theinfluence of variable of location and variable of service PD. BPR Market Bank. to loyalty of client. The research also intended to identify the dominant variables affecting loyalty of client. As according to research hence this research is executed by using method survey, that is research taking sample from a population and use the questioner as a means of fundamental data compiler. Sampling technique utilized in this research is by random sampling that is by assuming each; every subject of existing in population got the opportunity the same chance to be selected to become the sample. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh aspek kompetensi kewirausahaan, orentasi kewirausahaan terhadap kinerja industri mebel di Kabupaten Klaten, dan menganalisis pengaruh orentasi kewirausahaan terhadap kinerja industri mebel di Kabupaten Klaten. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer, yang diambil secara cross section melalui wawancara secara langsung dengan para pemilik usaha mebel dengan menggunakan daftar pertanyaan. Sampel sebanyak 182 usaha mebel atau 10% populasi. Pengujian validitas menggunakan analisis Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), dan pengujian reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach Alpha. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi hirarkis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis disimpulkan bahwa (1) model 1 merupakan model terbaik untuk menjelaskan hubungan antara kompetensi kewirausahaan (skills), dan orentasi kewirausahaan terhadap kinerja UKM, (2) kompetensi kewirausahaan (Initiative dan enterprises, Planninng dan Organizing, teknologi) serta orentasi kewirausahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja, dan (3) variable orentasi kewirausahaan terbukti memediasi hubungan antara kompetensi kewirausahaan dan kinerja usaha mebel di Klaten.

Abstract

This research was intended to analysis factor that affect demand of the Indomie instant noodle inKartasura, Grogol and Sukoharjo districts of Sukoharjo Regency, the result of the study could indicatethat the Indomie instant noodle was kind of luxury, normal, or inferior goods. The result of analysisindicated that Indomie instant noodle was normal goods in three districts of Sukoharjo Regency basedon income elasticity; whereas own price elasticity of demand indicated the demand of Indomie noodle wasinelasticity for Kartasura, Grogol, Sukoharjo districts. The cross price elasticity of demand indicatedsubstitute commodity or complementary commodity for Indomie and related commodity in three districtsof Sukoharjo Regency. This research recomendation that increasing price of Indomie for districts whichthe demand of Indomie instant noodle was elasticity to get high revenue total, whereas for districts whichthe demand of Indomie instant noodle, was inelasticity to growing up marketing, means to increasequantity buying if Indomie instant noodle it is important to applaied decreasing price.

Abstract

Bank is one financial institution that provides a variety of financial services that are used as the place where the transaction. As intermediary between parties who have surplus funds and those who need funds required banks to healthy financial performance. The research was conducted with the aim to analyze the financial performance of the financial industry inIndonesia. The ratio used to analyze the financial performance of the banking industry inIndonesia is Liquidity Ratios, Solvability Ratios, Profitability Ratios. The sampling method usedwas purposive sampling method. Of the population were 28 listed banking industry in IndonesiaStock Exchange, taken seven banking companies that meet the criteria of the sampl e, the companies included in the banking industry, the company that went public before the date of December 31, 2008 and a banking company that publishes financial reports on a regular basis at 31 December 2008.2009. The results showed that: (1) Liquidity ratio: (a)the financialperformance of banks in 2008-2009 categorized not good, measured from the current ratio,because the value of the current ratio is less than 200% is equal to 94% in 2008 and 97% in 2009, (b) the financial performance of banks in 2008-2009 categorized not good, as measured by the quick ratio, quick ratio because the value is less than 100% is equal to 94% in 2008 and 97% in 2009, (c)the financial performance of banks in 2008-2009 categorized not good, measured from the cash ratio, because the value of the cash ratio less than 100% which is 28% in 2008 and 32% in 2009.(2) solvency ratio: (a)the financial performance of banks in 2008-2009 categorized solvable measured by debt to net worth, because the value of debt to net worth of mo re than 25% in the amount of 942% in 2008 and 840% in 2009, (b) the financial performance of banks in 2008-2009 categorized solvable, measured by total assets to net worth, because the value of total assets to net worth of more than 25% is equal to 1082% i n 2008 and 970% in 2009, (c) the financial performance of banks in 2008-2009 categorized insolvable measured from fixed assets to net worth, as value of fixed assets to net worth less than 25% at 15% in 2008 and 12% in 2009.(3) The ratio of earnings: (a) the banking company for the year 2008-2009 is still a very small benefit only Rp 0.0185,00 in 2008 and Rp 0.0223,00 in 2009, (b) the banking company for the year 2008-2009 is still a very small benefit from its own capital only Rp 0.15,00 in 2008 and Rp 0.17,00 in 2009

Abstract

The percentage of non-profit organization revenue allocation to program expense beside administratif expense is an indicator of organizational performance. This research aims to test the organizational characteristik of non-profit organization on  its performance. The samples consist of 9 non-profit organizations in Indonesia based on its financial statement from 2007 to 2010. Testing was conducted through a simple regression analysis and a regression intervening with the size of the organization as the intervening variable. The results shows that the organization’s reputation has significant and positive effect toward the size of the organization but negative effect towards the performance of organizations. The size of organization (total revenue and total assets) have significant and negative effect on the performance of non-profit organizations. The total revenues and total assets mediate perfectly the relationship between organization’s age and the performance of non-profit organization.

Abstract

The impact of supermarkets (including hypermarkets) on the existence of traditional markets has recently become a topic of heated public debate. According to anumber of circles, the traditional markets are the most affected by the impact of competition from the supermarkets. Many people believe that the presence of modern markets, especially supermarkets and hypermarkets, is pushing urban traditionalmarkets into a corner. The superiority of modern over traditional markets lies in the fact that the former can sell the same products at lower prices, in addition to the comfort and different payment options they offer shoppers. Furthermore, the supermarkets and hypermarkets establish business links with large suppliers, usually for an extended period of time. This enables them to operate efficiently, benefitting fromthe economies of scale. Supermarkets adopt a number of pricing and non-pricing strategies to attract customers such as price limits, predatory pricing, and intertemporal price discrimination, for example, discounts at the end of the week and at certain other times. Their non-pricing strategies include advertising, longer opening hours (especially on weekends), bundling or tying (combined purchases), and free parking.
