Abstract

The aim of this research was to evaluate the effect of  Probio FMplus on carcass component parts and abdominal fat of growing broilers.  A total of 150 day-old broiler chicks (unsexed, Cobbs strain) were used in the present study. The chicks were randomly distributed to 25 pens (6 birds/pen). The experiment was design by using a complete randomized design consisting of five treatments and five replications. The treatments were a control diet without the addition of probio FMplus in drinking water (R0), control diets added with 0.5% Probio FMplus (R1), control diets added with 1.0% Probio FMplus (R3), and control diets added with 2.0% Probio FMplus (R4). The variables measured were carcass component parts and abdominal fat percentage. The result showed that the treatments did not have any significant effects (P >0.5) on all parameters measured. However, numerically it seemed that the breast meat and thigh percentages of group of birds fed diets added with Probio FMplus were higher than those of control diets without Probio FMplus. In conclusion, the addition of Probio FMplus (0 to 2%) did not give any beneficial effects of carcass component parts and abdominal fat percentages. Abstract

Production of Liquid Smoke Wood kesambi (Schleicera oleosa Merr) and Its Application For Flavouring Meat Sei. The use of liquid smoke in the manufacture of wood kesambi need to be studied to obtain a certain concentration of liquid smoke to give a flavour of traditional sei meat. This study aims to: 1) determine the components of liquid smoke kesambi flavour giver on sei meat processing. 2) determine the effect of the application of liquid smoke kesambi the chemical, physical, and microbiological sei meat processing. Production of liquid smoke made of wood kesambi pyrolysis temperature of 400OC, then do redistilation at ± 100°C. The second stage is the creation sei meat using liquid smoke to concentrations of 10%, 20% and 30%. Application of liquid smoke kesambi showed different results, both in terms of chemical components, physical and sensory properties of the resulting sei. Sei meat roasting results in a decrease of phenol, carbon, total acid, pH, and levels of tar, after roasting physically increase the level of hardness. Liquid smoke kesambi with concentration variation combined storage at 4°C to inhibit bacterial growth for 7 days of storage. Key words: Meat Sei, Liquid Smoke, flavour, Kesambi.

Abstract

Corn samples were obtained from four storage locations according toexisting local wisdom in TTU district. Corn storage barn taken from Insana Barat (Mamsena), storage with fumigation without husks taken from Miomafo Barat (Haulasi), fumigation and with husks storage is taken from Naibenu (Bakitolas), storage of corn without husks taken from Bikomi Utara (Banain)The Microbiological analisis was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture Timor University in August until November 2016. The Result showed that the corn,during storage, was infected by pathogenic fungi such as Altenaria, sp, Fusarium, sp and even Aspergiluss, sp which could potentially excrete toxins. Abstract

The Study of the Droght Stress and The Nitrogen Fertilizer Doses For the Plant Gogo Produce. The research had taken place in glasses house BPTP Naibonat Kupang from Junni to October 2008. The aims of the research is  to know the influences of the value of the drought sress and the nitrogen of Fertilizer doses for the  product of Rice plant Gogo. The research was done by using Randomized Complete Design factorial research which consist of two factors which is used without barren, the droght stess  21 -25 HST, 76 -80 HST and 111 – 115 HST. The secont factor is Nitrogen fertilizer doses which used and without nitrogen fertilizer, 45 kg N/ha, 90 kg N/ha and 135 kg N/ha, with 3 replication. The variabel which observed is the number of plant seed, the panicle number the qualiy of one thousand seeds, the qualiity of the seeds, and harvest index per plantation. The result of the research souws that the effect of drounght and doses nitrogen fertilazer of Riceland field for the fariabel which observed is seed number, the seed quality and the quality of the seed per plantation. The treatmen of the second droht stress (C2) with nitrogen fertilizer doses 90 kg/ha (N2) gives the average seed quality per plantation, whichis higher  than the onther tretment.Keywords: Droght Stress, The Nitrogen Fertilizer Doses and Plant Gogo Produce

Abstract

Red Onion (Allium ascalonicum L.) Sabu Raijua is one of the horticultural crops that is widely consumed by the people of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) as a mixture of cooking spices and traditional medicines. For household consumption of around 635,700 tons, non-household consumption such asthe manufacturing industry amounting to 719,200 tons, added up to a total of 1.35 million, meaning a deficit for shallots. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about PGPR in increasing the growth pattern of local onion Sabu Raijua. Using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 5 treatments, namely p0 (control), P1 (5 ml / liter of water / 2 plants), P2 (10 ml / liter of water / 2 plants), P3 (15 ml / liter of water / 2 plants) ), P4 (20 ml / liter of water / 2 plants) and repeated 4 times. The resultsshowed that local red onion plants of Sabu Raijua given PGPR could increase plant height (42, 45 cm), number of leaves (57.57 leaflets per plant), number of tillers per plant (13.89 tillers). The higher concentration of PGPR can increase the growth pattern of local onion Sabu Raijua plants.

Abstract

Identification of Organic Wastes from the Traditional Market as Pig Feed. This research was to evaluate the potency of organic wastes from the traditional market as pig feed. The research was a survey upon the availability of organic wastes in the Oeba traditional market by collecting data such as type, quantity and quality of organic wastes as the measurement variables. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the organic wastes that were available in the Oeba traditional markets consisted of three groups, i.e. organic waste from animal products (available in 3 kinds), organic waste from marine products (available in 12 kinds), and organic waste from agricultural products (available in 35 kinds). Based on the quantity, quality and continuity of the organic wastes, there were only 6 kinds of the organic wastes that could be used as pig feed i.e. Tuna or cakalang fish (1040 gr/day), swordfish (686 gr/day), tembang fish (55, 86 gr/day), water spinach (164294, 57 gr/day), mustard greens (31949 gr/day), and rice bran (40000 gr/day).Keywords: organic waste, traditional market, pig feed

Abstract

The study aims to determine the influence of KNO3 and manure to plant growth of the tomato varieties Betavila. Research takes place from April to November 2019 in Kupang District. This research uses randomized complete block design by one factor, which is 8 levels of fertilizer dose and repetition 4 times. As for the following treatment: P1 = 100% KNO3 recommendation, P2 = 100% Goat Manure recommendation, P3 = 100% KNO3 + 15 tons/ha goat manure, P4 = 100% KNO3 + 30 tons/ha goat manure, P5 = 75% KNO3 + 15 ton/ha goat manure, P6 = 75% KNO3 + 30 tons/ha goat manure, P7 = 50% KNO3 + 15 ton/ha goat manure, P8 = 50% KNO3 + 30 ton/ha goat manure.The results showed a combination of KNO3 and goat manure that affected the number of productive branches, buns and flower petals, and did not affect the lateral branches formed.  75% KNO3 + 30 tons/ha goat manure treatment provides the best influence on the number of productive branches (12.123), bunching of Flowers (27.973), and Flowers (5.630). Keywords: KNO3, goat manure, plant growth, tomato Betavila

Abstract

Strategy for Developing Pattern of Partner between Fishery Entrepreneur and Traditional Fisherman Having Partner in Namosain, Pasir Panjang, and Oesapa. This research was to identify internal and external factors in the form of weakness and strength, threat and opportunity experienced by fishery entrepreneurs with traditional fishermen in the effort of developing partner pattern, and to formulate strategy in the effort of developing partner pattern among fishery entrepreneurs and traditional fishermen in partner. The research used analysis of Strength Weakness Opportunity Treat to find out internal factors in the form of strength, weakness, and external factors in the form of threat and opportunity to fishery entrepreneurs and traditional fishermen, and to determine alternative strategy used matrix of SWOT. The result showed that internal strategy factors representing weakness and strength in development of partner pattern. Those were education level of responders pertained were still lower (52% SMU); the skill and knowledge in the field of fishery was including low category with cumulative score performance 70,00; the capital employed was still very less with mean of Rp. 3-6 million in 3-7 days; and the ability read good enough opportunity. While, external strategy factor in developing of partner pattern representing threat and opportunity cover; very big oceanic potency, production, price, and high request, availability of local market and adequate exporting, and also governmental guarantee and support. These can be concluded by some strategy alternative development of partner pattern, for example, increasing skill and knowledge require by training and education, government require to assist all traditional fisherman by adding capital employed 3) governmental require to arrange partner pattern model and mechanism and also guarantee its execution with orders going into effect to be both party which is have partner to do not each other harming. Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the land capability class in the Manikin Baki watershed, identify limiting and potential factors on the land and determine the actions taken to overcome existing limiting factors for sustainable land use. The method used is matching to 9 factors that are potential and limiting.The results showed that the Land Capability Class in Manikin Baki watershed was dominated by land capability class III with 55.77% of the total research location. The main factor that is limiting is the slope. Abstract

Microbiology Identification (Staphylococcus and Coliform) of Milk, Meat and Their Processed Products in Jogjakarta City. Food is a perishable foods by microorganisms that can be harmful to consumers' health. Staphylococci and coliform commonly found in foods. The objective of this study was to know the type of contaminants in samples of meat and milk and processed products and growth in culture media. Materials examined were dairy and meat and dairy that come from the city of Jogjakarta. This study was conducted in August 2010 at the Laboratory of Veterinary Public Health Faculty, Gadjah Mada University. The method used in the microbiological examination is the method of casting and counting the cup.The results obtained from both methods of inspection showed there Staphylococcus and coliform contaminants in the material examined. The number of bacteria Staphylococcus sp on Vogel-Johnson media showed a high coliform in fresh milk while Violet Red Bile media found in raw milk and raw chicken meat. The results obtained in excess of standards established SNI No. 01-7388-2009. Obtained from the examination can be concluded that the number of bacteria exceeds SNI standards are set.
