Abstract

The current era of disruption makes it easier for humans to convey and receive new information, especially about religion. However, in fact there are still some people who shut themselves off to convey the goodness that they know. Seeing this condition and the massive radicalization that has occurred in the internet media, a solution is needed to answer it. This article, which is a qualitative type of research with literature study through a content analysis approach to the verses of the Koran, has resulted in a new understanding of the importance of virtual da'wah for the process of spreading the Rahmatan lil 'Alamin Islam to all people in the world, so that da'wah on the internet is not it only explains in terms of its superiority, but also the purpose of da'wah which must be developed with several ethics that must be considered according to the Qur'an, including media skills, scientific and moral credibility, as well as polite da'wah material, namely upholding compassion (not advocating let alone giving hate speech).Era disrupsi saat ini menjadikan manusia lebih mudah untuk menyampaikan dan menerima informasi baru, terutama tentang agama. Namun, kenyatannya masih terdapat beberapa orang yang menutup diri untuk menyampaikan kebaikan yang ia ketahui. Melihat kondisi demikian serta masifnya radikalisasi yang terjadi di media internet, maka dibutuhkan solusi untuk menjawabnya. Artikel ini yang merupakan penelitian jenis kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan melalui pendekatan analisis isi terhadap ayat Al-Qur’an yang menghasilkan pemahaman baru terkait pentingnya dakwah virtual bagi proses penyebaran agama Islam yang Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin bagi seluruh umat di dunia, sehingga dakwah di internet tidak hanya menjelaskan dari sisi keunggulannya saja, tapi juga tujuan dakwah yang harus dikembangkan dengan beberapa etika yang harus diperhatikan menurut Al-Qur’an, diantaranya kecakapan bermedia, kredibiltas keilmuwan dan akhlak, serta materi dakwah yang santun, yaitu menjunjung tinggi rasa kasih sayang (tidak memprofokasi apalagi memberikan ujaran kebencian).

Abstract

This paper focuses on the women’s role in either domestic or public domain in preventing radicalism. A series of accidents with radical extremism background had happened in many places of Indonesia, such as suicide bombings, shootings and destruction of public facilities, which disrupted public security and government activities. This phenomenon is overshadowed by fear and insecurity threatening people's lives including women. Therefore, it need an appropriate response from related parties including women to anticipate the problems. Women is one of the potential parties who has a strategic role in order to prevent spreading of violence extremism. There is limited study that concern to the involvement of women in preventing violent extremism. This study tries to delineates women’s role of Solo areas to overcome of their problems in coping with fear, uncertainty, and social anxiety,  and negative impact of media coverage after many cases hit their territories.This study employs qualitative approach by interviewing women from various social, educational and religious backgrounds. They are prominent women’s organizations leaders namely Muslimat, PKK, Aisyiah, Religious extensionist, Islamic Party, Lecturers, Priest and Senior High School teachers  Data was collected through focus group discussions involving 11 informants from 4 districts namely Solo, Sukoharjo, Sragen and Karanganyar regencies. Informants were selected based on purposive sampling technique. The result of the study uncovers that the women have had a preparedness in preventing radicalism. It could be understood from their cognitive, affective and skill aspects. They had a good understanding of radical movement characteristics, sufficient assessment, and readynes to act in countering radical behavior

Abstract

Changes in space and time also have an impact on changing patterns, approaches, methodologies, and characteristics of dakwah. Therefore da'wah can be situational and contextual according to the space and time that surrounds it. The understanding of a da'i in understanding Islamic da'wah comprehensively will give rise to a perspective in which the approach, dimensions and dynamics that must be prepared and what kind of model will be used in da'wah activities will determine the success of the da'wah activity. Kiai Ahmad Fauzan is one of the scholars who can be said to be visionary. Due to in-depth reading in terms of conditions, situations, and abilities, finally Kiai Ahmad Fauzan, besides using a cultural approach, also uses a structural approach. The structural approach was used as a method of da'wah which was fairly effective for him. Because, from the use of the structural da'wah method, Kiai Ahmad Fauzan can make it easier to coordinate, regulate, and ratify the rules that should apply or not. The methods of proselytizing Kiai Ahmad Fauzan found in this study are methods of political da'wah and methods of proselytizing education. This research uses descriptive-qualitative research with historical analysis in the form of "oral or spoken" from historians and people who have a close relationship with the subject or object under study.

Abstract

This study aims to exlpore the concept of da'wah, the essence of da'wah, the nature of da'wah used by al-Fârûqî in the Muslim world community and non-Muslims, which is expected to be used to reorganize the people who being complacent with an individualistic lifestyle. Meanwhile, to discuss and analyze data from the literature study, the authors use the historical method. This means that it is necessary to view data as part of community development rather than isolated facts. This study found that Ismâ'îl Râjî al-Fârûqî's da'wah thinking tends to be communitarian. This can be proven by the Islamization of science which he believes is an effort to establish an Islamic world community. In addition, the da'wah carried out to Muslims is aimed at directing the actual path, while the da'wah carried out to non-Muslims is to invite them to join as people who are pursuing the true pattern of divinity. From the study of Islamic Da'wah Thought of Ismâ'îl Râjî al-Fârûqî, it found the formula for Contemporary Islamic da'wah, namely rational da'wah, universal, and does not divide the area of da'wah. Keywords: Islamic da’wah, Contemporary Kajian terhadap Dakwah Islam kontemporer Pemikiran Ismâ'îl Râjî al-Fârûqî ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep dakwah, intisari dakwah,  hakikat dakwah yang dipakai al-Fârûqî dalam masyarakat dunia Islam dan umat non-Islam, yang tentunya diharapkan dapat dipergunakan untuk menata kembali umat yang sedang terlena dengan gaya hidup individualistik. Sedangkan untuk membahas dan menganalisis data dari studi kepustakaan, maka penulis menggunakan metode sejarah. Ini berarti perlu memandang data sebagai bagian dari pembangunan masyarakat daripada fakta-fakta yang terisolir. Kajian ini telah menemukan bahwa pemikiran dakwah Ismâ'îl Râjî al-Fârûqî cenderung komunitarian. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan program Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan yang diyakininya sebagai upaya pembentukan masyarakat dunia Islam. Selain itu, dakwah yang dilakukan kepada Muslim adalah bertujuan untuk mengarahkan ke jalan aktual, sedangkan dakwah yang dilakukan kepada non-Muslim adalah mengajak bergabung sebagai orang yang mengejar pola ketuhanan yang benar. Dari kajian Pemikiran Dakwah Islam Ismâ'îl Râjî al-Fârûqî, maka dapat ditemukan formula dakwah Islam Kontemporer, yaitu dakwah yang rasional, universal, dan tidak mensekat-sekat wilayah dakwah. Kata Kunci: Da’wah Islam, Kontemporer

Abstract

 This study aims to discuss how the intercultural communication patterns of female students at the Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School NU Pesanggrahan and the obstacles that must be taken against the communication patterns for female students of the Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School NU Pesanggrahan in the pesantren environment towards existing cultures. The approach that the researcher adopts is to use a qualitative research approach with field studies (field research). By using descriptive research methods.The results of the research conducted show that female students in Islamic boarding schools carry out learning about good verbal and non-verbal or dialect communication through close friends at the cottage by adjusting intercultural communication patterns through the language of female students from different regions and adapting to the language according to the boundaries so that Intercultural communication is effectively established in the Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School NU Pesanggrahan. In addition, there are differences in language or dialect as the main factor for the female students at the Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School NU Pesanggrahan, namely the language factor (communication) and social factors. The factors that cause differences in the language or dialect of the female students at the Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School NU Pesanggrahan include: (1) The language (communication) is different from the area of origin of the female students so that they do not understand what is meant; (2) Unsuitable association from the area of origin of the female students, thus obstructing gaps in daily communication.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskusikan bagaimana pola komunikasi antarbudaya santri putri di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Huda NU Pesanggrahan dan hambatan yang harus ditempuh terhadap pola komunikasi bagi santri putri Pondok Pesantren Nurul Huda NU Pesanggrahan di lingkungan pesantren terhadap budaya yang ada. Pendekatan yang peneliti angkat yaitu menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan studi lapangan (field research). Dengan meggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Hasil Penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwasannya  santri putri di Pondok Pesantren  melakukan pembelajaran mengenai bahasa komunikasi baik verbal maupun non verbal atau dialek yang baik melalui teman dekat di pondok dengan penyesuaian pola komunikasi antarbudaya melalui bahasa dari santri putri yang berbeda daerah dan beradaptasi dengan bahasa sesuai batasan agar komunikasi antarbudaya terjalin dengan efektif yang berlaku di lingkungan Pondok Pesantren Nurul Huda NU Pesanggrahan. Disamping itu adanya perbedaan bahasa atau dialek sebagai faktor yang utamaSantri Putri di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Huda NU Pesanggrahan yaitu faktor bahasa (komunikasi) dan faktor pergaulan. Faktor-faktor penyebab perbedaan bahasa atau dialek Santri Putri di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Huda NU Pesanggrahan, meliputi: (1) Bahasa (komunikasi) yang berbeda dari daerah asal santri putri sehingga menimbulkan tidak pahamnya apa yang di maksud; (2) Pergaulan yang kurang cocok dari asal daerah santri putri sehingga menjadikan kesenjangan dalam berkomunikasi sehari – hari terhambat.

Abstract

KH. Zahrudin Usman is a prominent Muslim intellectual figure. Thanks to his expertise, he got the title of youth officer and several awards. This study seeks to explain KH Zahrudin Usman's preaching work in the development of Islamic symbols in Tebo Regency, Jambi Province. This research is a qualitative research with historical literature sources supported by data from the field both interviews and observations to corroborate the findings. The findings of this study indicate that KH Zahrudin Usman is a Kyai who has great authority in the development of Islamic symbols through the Nurul Jalal Islamic boarding school in Tebo Tengah, Tebo Regency, Jambi Province. The existing knowledge is implemented by establishing a madrasah which is used as a place for learning. It is not just its existence, its method of preaching, and its moral message as a barometer to become a role model for the people of Tebo Regency.KH. Zahrudin Usman merupakan tokoh intelektual Muslim terkemuka.  Berkat kepiawaiannya, gelar mualim muda dan beberapa penghargaan didapatnya. Penelitian ini berusaha menjelaskan kiprah dakwah KH Zahrudin Usman dalam pengembangan syiar Islam di Kabupaten Tebo, Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan sumber literatur sejarah didukung data dari lapangan baik wawancara maupun observasi  untuk menguatkan hasil temuan. Adapun hasil  temuan dari penelitian ini adalah KH Zahrudin Usman merupakan Kyai yang memiliki otoritas besar dalam pengembangan syiar Islam melalui pesantren Nurul Jalal di Tebo Tengah, Kabupaten Tebo Provinsi Jambi. Bekal ilmu yang ada diimplementasikan dengan mendirikan madrasah yang dijadikan sebagai wadah pembelajaran. Bukan sekedar keberadaannya, metode dakwahnya, hingga pesan moralnya pun menjadi suatu barometer yang menjadi panutan masyarakat Kabupaten Tebo.

Abstract

The traces of Islam in the region of Buton Sultanate are rarely described by historians and preacher. This paper aims to explore the history of Islam in Buton. This article is result of a qualitative research with historical approach.  The study found that the traces of Islam in the land of the Buton Sultanate can be known about the entry of Islamic teachings in the Buton which is able to change its system of government from a kingdom to a sultanate and also the traces of Islam left behind can continue through educational institutions. This was influenced by one of the figures who was very influential in the process of Islamization in the Buton Sultanate. Jejak islam yang berada di tanah kesultanan buton jarang untuk diketahui oleh sebagian ahli sejarawan yang berkecimpung didunia sejarah dan juga dakwah. Hal ini yang membuat penulis untuk memaparkan history mengenai jejak islam yang ada di tanah buton. Artikel ini merupakan penelitian jenis kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi history sehingga jejak islam ditanah kesultanan buton bisa diketahui tentang masuknya ajaran islam yang ada ditanah buton yang mampu merubah sistem pemerintahannya dari kerajaan menjadi sebuah kesultanan dan juga jejak islam yang ditinggalkan dapat terus berlanjut melalui lembaga pendidikan. Abstract

This paper tries to describe the da'wah strategy applied by the preachers in conveying da'wah messages in a village called Bina Karya, where the majority of the village community are transmigrants from Java. In addition, because of the heterogeneity of the village community, there are challenges that are also opportunities for the preachers in that area. This paper is the result of field research conducted by going directly to the field with a descriptive analysis approach. In it process, the success of da'wah in transmigration areas is also determined by the da'i in addressing each individual mad'u’s diverse personality. The da'wah strategy used is the da'wah strategy of the walisongo in Islamizing the people of Java. These methods are tadrij (gradual) and adamul haraj (harmless). The da'wah strategy like this is an implementation of the al-Quran, namely 'mawidzatul hasanah wa mujadalah billati hiya ahsan'. In addition, the face to face method of da'wah is a method that is considered very appropriate to be applied in the transmigration community, because they are still considered to be in the lower middle class, both in terms of knowledge, welfare, religion and technology..Tulisan ini mencoba menggambarkan mengenai strategi dakwah yang diterapkan oleh para muballigh ketika menyampaikan pesan-pesan dakwah di Desa Bina Karya yang notabenenya adalah masyarakat transmigran dari pulau Jawa. Selain itu pula dikarenakan heterogenitas masyarakatnya, menjadikan adanya tantangan sekaligus peluang tersendiri bagi para muballigh di daerah tersebut. Tulisan ini merupakan penelitian hasil studi (Field Research) dengan turun ke lapangan secara langsung serta dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif.Dalam prosesnya, keberhasilan dakwah di daerah transmigrasi juga ditentukan juga oleh da’i dalam menyikapi setiap diri pribadi mad’u yang berbeda-beda. Strategi dakwah yang dipakai adalah strategi dakwah para walisongo dalam mengislamkan masyarakat di pulau Jawa.  Metode tersebut yakni tadrij (bertahap) dan adamul haraj (tidak menyakiti). Adapun strategi dakwah seperti ini merupakan implementasi dari al-Qur’an yaitu ‘mawidzatul hasanah wa mujadalah billati hiya ahsan’. Selain itu pula, metode dakwah face to face merupakan metode yang dinilai sangat cocok diterapkan pada masyarakat transmigrasi dikarenakan masyarakatnya yang masih dinilai berada di kelas menengah ke bawah baik dari segi pengetahuan, kesejahteraan, keagamaan maupun teknologi.

Abstract

Da'wah is an invitation to change the situation of society from previously unfavorable to better based on the values taught by religion. While the da'wah strategy is the planning steps designed by the preacher in conveying his da'wah material. The choice of da'wah method must be appropriate so that it can be effective. Da'wah bil hal is the most effective method used by researchers in this research. Da'wah bil hal is oriented towards community development through mad'u movements or actions. The preachers in this study were the Gerakan Pemuda (GP) Ansor Banyumas Regency, which is a youth social organization under the auspices of the Nahdlatul Ulama. This study aims to find out what strategies are used by GP Ansor Banyumas to contribute to building the economy of the people. This research is a field, where the data that the authors get by observation and interviews. The collected data were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis method. The result, shows the contribution of GP Ansor Banyumas in strengthening the economy of the people through the tilapia fish cultivation work program, waste bank management, Kietapay. Strong economic development is an alternative to strengthening religious ideology.

Abstract

AbstractIt cannot be denied that the failure of the people to carry out a revolution is caused by ideology, values, self-awareness and the people who are immersed in the hegemony of power. This hegemony can be formed through the massa media, sermons or preaching which indoctrination so as to give birth to a new ideology attached to the people. In the film Sang Kyai, the writer analyzes the hegemony of power that is inserted through religious motives and nationalistic attitudes. The author uses qualitative research with an interpretive type. The author uses the semiotic analysis method, referring to Roland Barthes' theory which draws on the principles of denotation, connotation and myth. The results of this study, as an application of the found denotation, the pesantren tradition. The withdrawal of the connotation of plague on elements of the pesantren tradition which is thick with the attitude of the santri ta'dzim towards the kiai and the kiai's role itself. The writer finds that the hegemony of power which is connected through religious channels will be able to be accepted openly and gently. In this regard, the author finds several hegemony of power that runs through religious motives in the film Sang Kyai, namely first, Seikerei's imposition of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, when a kiai agrees to the Seikerei, the students and the people will agree to it. Second, KH. Hashim Asy'ari openly to emphasize power. Third, embracing the kiai in order to get the sympathy of students and the Indonesian people. Fourth, KH. Hasyim Asy'ari led Masyumi as well as Shumubu with the aim of instilling a trusting attitude towards Japan and as a Japanese effort to control the people's movements. Fifth, the power strategy formed through the conquest of NU ulama. Sixth, planting the multiplication of agricultural produce through Friday sermons in all mosques as well as streamlining the holy verses of the Koran and hadiths on this propoganda.The connotation of jihad in the pesantren tradition can be found through first, the struggle of the students in completing the country's independence. Second, deliberation. Third, ta'dzim santri to kiai for their efforts to free the kiai from Japanese hands. In this understanding, the myth of the film Sang Kyai can be drawn on the concept of power that is clustered through religious motives, that power in the name of religion becomes a legitimate power that can be exercised openly and accepted by the community.
