Abstract

PT. Fast Moving Consumers Goods in order to decrease the number of defects on biscuits dannisa Currant in the method DMAIC (Define, Measures, Analyze, Improvement, Control). The study was conducted to determine the factors that cause the occurrence of color defects are not standard and reduce the number of defects with the methodology DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement and Control). Based on the analysis of causal diagram (Fishbone diagram) and by using the tools Nominal Group Technique (NGT) found five dominant cause of which is the engine burner is not effective and difficult in setting up the machine, raw material particle size is not standard and nonstandard dough temperature. With the method (5W + 1H) the corrective actions taken are: the addition of 6 units of burner, reduce the particle size of the raw material and the dough temperature settings, and additional man power on the unit before the process is in the process moulder. From the results of improvement, DPMO value has increased very significantly.

Abstract

This research adopts the Vision and Mission of a textile company headquartered in Tangerang. This company produces producing polo shirts, golf shirts, track suits, sweat shirts, and pants using materials such as single jersey, pique, lace in cotton, polyester, and others. The company's vision and mission can represent other textile companies that have the same processes and products. The characteristics of textile companies that have processes with human skill factors become critical points that are difficult to replace with robot technology. This has an impact on the needs of a large number of human resources in the industry. The increase in labor costs which always increases every year has a very significant impact on production costs. Thus, expansion is one of the critical factors to be used as a top management strategy in determining the current KPI items. The Balanced Scorecard is a performance evaluation method that can meet these expectations. The design of company performance measurement in this study begins with the translation of the company's vision and mission, secondly, making a proposed corporate strategy using the PQCDSME approach (profit, quality, Cost, Delivery, Service, Moral, Environment). Third, calcify the company's strategy into the perspective of the balanced scorecard. Fourth, the decision making process to determine KPI items using the brainstorming method. Fifth, determining the critical success factor and key performance indicator. Other factors are also compared between the achievement of the previous year as an illustration of determining a target. So the target given will be in accordance with the SMART rules (speciefic, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely). The results are obtained with 4 criteria (financial, consumer, internal business processes, learning and growth). This performance measurement produced 19 key performance indicators, consisting of 6 financial perspective indicators, 1 customer perspective indicator, 7 internal business process perspective indicators, and 5 growth and learning perspective indicators.

Abstract

Abstract. Ability to manage a good distribution channel is a competitiveadvantage which is importance for industries. Bad distribution channel will havebad impact in whole aspects of organization, especially on its profit margin.Precise quantity and on time delivery are crucial aspects of distribution success.Distribution and transportation system have to be design optimally to result theminimum cost of distribution. Perum Bulog as government agency who runs thedistribution of rice has to pay attention on optimizing its distribution channel. Inoperating their task, Perum Bulog will be support by its sub division who will bemanages the distribution process of rice in its own region. This research is focusedto define the optimum combination of channel and quantity on distribution of ricefrom Sub Divre West Java to the cities and regencies in order to achieve theminimum distribution cost using transportation method, Linear Programmingmethod, and LINDO. Abstract

Body protector digunakan untuk melindungi diri dari serangan lawan. Body protector biasanya digunakan untuk melindungi tubuh bagian depan, melindungi alat kemaluan, dan melindungi alat gerak. Body protector ini merupakan perlengkapan wajib ketika berlatih ataupun bertanding pencak silat. Body protector dikhususkan untuk melindungi dada dan perut pesilat. Bahan body protector ini biasanya terbuat dari bahan oscar. Di bagian dalamnya terdapat spon yang berfungsi untuk menahan serangan agar tidak langsung mengenai dada ataupun perut pesilat yang bisa berakibat fatal. Bagian dalam body protector juga diberi selang yang lentur, sehingga memudahkan dalam bergerak dan melesatkan serangan. Body protector ini dapat digunakan untuk dewasa profesional juga bagi pemula body protector silat juga tidak hanya diperuntukkan bagi orang dewasa, sudah tersedia body protector khusus anak metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD) dan dinilai menggunakan perhitungan House Of Quality (HOQ). Maka dari perhitungan tersebut akan diperoleh 11 atribut tertinggi urutan prioritas kebutuhan konsumen

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to analyze and empirically test the hypotheses of theeffect of service quality, price and advertising on customers decision in usingJNE’s logistic service (case study CV. Cipta Abdi Mandiri at Cengkareng area).Sample of respondents in this study are customer of CV. Cipta Abdi Mandiri wasselected randomly at period 15 July until 31 August 2014 about 100 persons.Multiple Regression Linear used to analyze and test the hypotheses. The studyfound that model were proposed is fit based on Goodness of Fit Indices.Hypotheses testing concludes that service quality and price have significants andpositive effect on costumers decision of CV. Abstract

Companies always try to reduce inventory to make capital turnover running smoothly and don’t want to keep the inventory long time. However, inventory cannot be directly reduced as low as there are risks for production that can be material shortages and the can lose the sales. It is necessary to control the business to obtain the optimum inventory value. This research discusses the material inventory problem in air conditioner (air conditioner) which aims to find out efficient inventory control method in order to reduce total inventory cost. This research uses probabilistic EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method. The focus of the problem studied is the inventory of compressor materials that contribute most to the value of purchases and the resulting inventory. This research tries to give optimal EOQ value for every order, ROP (Reorder Point), safety stock and total inventory cost. Based on the calculation the total inventory cost of the compressor material calculated using this probabilistic EOQ method resulted in a total cost reduction of 8.2% compared to the total inventory cost generated by company policy.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze how Business Process Modelling (BPM) can be develop and improve in SMIs. Business Process Modeling have been the one of important strategy adopted by organizations around the world especially in Small and Medium Industries to sustain in global economic competition 2017. Successful implementation of these depends on applicability and business functional process effectiveness. BPM success also depends on organizational Business Process Improvement (BPI). This paper presents a benchmark process of BPM in Small and Medium Industry (SMI) perspectives especially in Steel fabricator SMI. And it creates new BPM in other SMI to become lean business in organizational structural. It includes a review of financial performance in SMI to decrease business process cost and get higher profit, findings of research accomplished via interviews with people in board of director and shareholder.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the key success factors for the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) as the core of quality improvement in all elements of the module-making industry, which during the past five years did not have achieved the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) customer standard. In the initial stage, a literature review and previous research were carried out on critical success factors for the implementation of TQM in various sectors, then a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted to determine the structuring of the relationship between the success factors and the weight of the success factors for TQM implementation in the module maker industry using the Analytic method. Network Process (ANP). The main priority factors for the successful implementation of TQM in the module maker industry are the perspective of total organizational involvement, followed successively in the quality system perspective, the partnership perspective for customers & suppliers, the training & education perspective, and the measurement & information perspective. The most important criteria for each perspective are top management commitment, continuous improvement, focus on customer satisfaction, and performance measurement.

Abstract. Palm kernel cake (Palm Kernel Expeller - PKE) is one of the feed rawmaterials are abundant in Indonesia. PKE material very easily covered with mold,so the opportunity to produce mycotoxins, one of which is Aspergillus Sp. whichproduces aflatoxin. Aflatoxins are toxic not only cattle, but also the residue isstored in animal products such as meat and milk. The concentration of aflatoxin inanimal feed under the provisions of the Indonesian National Standards Bodyshould not exceed 100 mg / kg. The concentration of aflatoxin allowed to enterthe human food ingredient according to the provisions of the WHO maximumppb.Pengendalian 0:03 PKE production process by using GMP + and HACCP isone of the most logical alternative and effective current to the prevention ofaflatoxin. Abstract

This Journal is the research of object that engaged in Industry of rubber Company, the product are formed in the Gasket product for final assembly into Hard Disk Drive, the function is to protect the connector inside Hard Disc. The Company continue to develop products and improve productivity performance by trying to improve quality of service, production process, and delivery product to customer with minimal cost and on time. To reach that purpose, a good method to eliminate waste and identify activities that can affect the products value-added was found, its value stream mapping (VSM), who can help to identify the waste from information flow, material flow and or processes flow. For this researchVSM with the support by root cause analysis tool has able to identify the highest stoppages processes contributed at rubber production that can increase the productivity. Rubber material, curing and deflashing processes had been selected for the improvement project. The improvement result showed total change over time (Non value added) from those processes were seen to be reduced from 70% until 88,89%.
