Abstract

This research was conducted on the grounds that there were still many students who were less active and initiative in making decisions to solve problems because students only copied from the teacher's example and waited for the teacher's instructions to solve the problems. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the PMRI Approach (Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education) Against Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan Sleman Regency Even Semester Academic Year 2015/2016. The research design uses Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this research is the eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan. The research sample was taken using a random sampling technique obtained by class VIII D as an experimental class and VIII B as a control class. Data collection is done by the test method. The instrument testing used validity tests, different power tests, and reliability tests. Data analysis techniques using analysis prerequisite tests include normality test with Chi-Square formula, homogeneity test with Bartlett test, and hypothesis testing with t-test. Based on calculations of the significant level  and 67 degrees of freedom could be concluded that: (1) there were different result of Mathematics study between the students who used the learning of PMRI approach and the students who used traditional learning approach. This case showed from the result of the first hypothesis test is . (2) learning by using the PMRI approach more effective than using a traditional learning approach. This case showed from the result of the second hypothesis test is .

Abstract

Learning outcomes is the accomplishment of the learning process. Low mathematics outcomes are influenced by factors that come from within or outside the students’ self. For example, a low ability of interpersonal communication makes the interaction of students with other people uncomfortable, and a less conducive learning environment can reduce the concentration of students during the learning process. The study aims to determine the relationship between the ability of interpersonal communication and learning environment with mathematics learning outcomes in student class XI Science (IPA), even semester of State Senior High School 9 Yogyakarta (SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta) in the academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of class XI IPA, even semester of SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017, which consists of 5 classes with some 148 students. Samples were taken with a random sampling technique and derived class XI IPA 5 as a sample class with 28 students.  Data collection techniques use a questionnaire method to collect data on the ability of interpersonal communication and learning environment and test method mathematics achievement test. Test instruments used for validity and reliability. Test requirements analysis was a normality test, a test of independence, and a linearity test. Analysis of the data for testing hypotheses used linear regression analysis and correlation analysis. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between the ability of interpersonal communication and learning environment with mathematics learning outcomes in student class XI IPA even semester of SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017. Abstract

Observation on the students of grade XI MIPA 2 at State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 3 Bantul showed that students' learning activeness to participate in mathematics lesson was still lacking. Therefore, this study aims to improve learning activeness using a firing line strategy in mathematics lessons on grade XI MIPA 2 at SMA Negeri 3 Bantul in 2017/2018. This research is classroom action research. The action is carried out in three cycles. In this study, subjects were 31 students' of grade XI MIPA 2, 9 men and 22 women. Objects in this study were the learning activities that applied the active strategy of the firing line. Methods of data collection were the method of observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was descriptive qualitative, and quantitative. The results showed that learning using the firing line strategy to improve students' learning activeness in each cycle has improved. The questionnaires of the learning activeness in cycle I was 53.59% (low), it increased in cycle II by 66.89% (high), and in the third cycle was 72,38% (high). The results of student observations were in the first cycle of 69,95%, it increased in the second cycle of 83.29%, and 86.90% for the third cycle. This research's success is also characterized by an average quiz that has reached the MCC (>69). The results of the quiz in cycle II were 78,33 and in the third cycle was 76,67.

Abstract

The use of media in mathematics learning is used to assist students in understanding learning materials. The background of this development research is the absence of media that used in mathematics learning at SMP Muhammadiyah Seyegan and SMP Muhammadiyah Kasihan besides textbooks and worksheets as a learning resource. The purpose of this study was to develop learning media stop motion animation based on material tangent to the circle and to determine eligibility based on the assessment of experts and the students' responses. This research, the method used is Research and Development method. The subjects were expert lecturers, subject teachers, and students in grade VIII SMP and SMP Muhammadiyah Seyegan and SMP Muhammadiyah Kasihan. The object of this study is the learning media stop motion animation in the material tangent to the circle for grade VIII Junior High School. The stage of collecting data through direct observation, interviews, and questionnaires with research instruments such as questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of qualitative data. The results showed that the developed learning media are included in the category of very decent (ideals percentage of 85.98%). Judging from the aspect of media, materials, and instructional media student responses are developed each get an average score of 89.5 respectively (criterion ideals 85.6%), 71.5 (percentage ideals 89.38%), and 57.85 (percentage ideals 82.64%). Thus mathematics learning media stop motion animation based on material circle tangent to class VIII SMP fit for use by students and teachers as a learning medium.

Abstract

Insufficient teaching media cause a lack of students' interests in mathematics. Moreover, they have difficulty to understand more about statistics. Therefore, we need a teaching media for Statistics E-Modul. This research is aimed to develop teaching media, especially Statistics E-module for grade XII students of vocational high school (SMK). Furthermore, it is also aimed to know how feasible this E-module from a financial point of view and how good of students' responses to this media.  The type of this research is development research. It uses research and development. They are elaborated in some stages, such a problem identification, data collection, product, and good design, product revision, trial usage, product revision, and mass production. The subject of this research is SMK N 1 Sanden and SMK 1 Muhammadiyah Bambanglipuro. Meanwhile, the object of the study is a statistics e-module based on Edmodo with a realistic approach oriented HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) for grade XII students of vocational high school. There are two types of data. Those are qualitative and quantitative. The data collection uses interviews and questionnaires, which will be done before product development, is done. The instrument of the research is the guidelines of interview and questionnaire to rate the E-Module. The data analysis technique is a quantitative analysis that will be changed into qualitative analysis using a Likert scale.  The research result showed that the result of scoring instrument from the expert with the average score 124.7 is in the level good. The result of the research showed that the result of the scoring instrument fro the expert with the average score 91.7 is in the level very good. Moreover, the instrument of students’ responses with the average score 85.53 is in the level very good. Based on the scoring result from the expert, media expert, students' responses to the development of teaching media statistics e-module based on Edmodo with a realistic approach oriented HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill)  for grade XII students of vocational high school is feasible to apply in the learning process.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru mengakibatkan siswa kurang bertanggung jawab dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Untuk itu perlu adanya upaya tertentu untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan tanggung jawab belajar matematika dengan menggunakan Metode Resitasi pada siswa kelas VII SMPMuhammadiyah 1 Berbah Yogyakarta Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIC semester ganjil SMPMuhammadiyah 1 Berbah Yogyakartatahun ajaran 2013/2014. Sedangkan objek yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode resitasi pada siswa kelasVIIC semester ganjil SMPMuhammadiyah 1 Berbah Yogyakartatahun ajaran 2013/2014. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, angket dantes ulangan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data ini adalah lembar observasi,lembar wawancara, angket dan tes ulangan. Dalam penelitian ini validitas yang dipakai adalah validitas isi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitiantindakan kelas yang terdiri atas dua siklus. Kriteria keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran dilihat dari peningkatan tanggung jawab siswa.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode resitasi pada siswa kelas VIIC SMPMuhammadiyah 1 Berbah Yogyakarta Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 meningkatkan tanggung jawab belajar. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil observas itanggung jawab belajar siswa setiap siklus mengalami peningkatan, yaitu persentase keberhasilan penelitian tanggung jawab belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 50,57% (Cukup), dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 71,82% (Baik). Selain itu, persentase siswa yang tuntas tiap siklus juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu pada siklus I diperoleh 50,00%, danpada siklus II meningkat menjadi 72,73%.Kata kunci: tanggung jawab, metode resitasi, Matematika.

Abstract

Mathematics is an essential basic science and useful for the development of science and technology. Available teaching materials limit the use of teaching materials in the schools. Algebra material is still considered difficult for some students'. Instructional materials in the form of modules are expected to become facilities that support the learning process. This research aims to produce teaching materials in mathematic modules with the algebra materials in the Junior High School student class VII. This research development using ADDIE that is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. This study's subjects are the materials experts, media experts, and State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 2 Gamping Sleman and Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 2 Gamping Sleman. The instrument of this research is a questionnaire. The analysis data use the qualitative and quantitative techniques to calculate the result score of feasibility in learning media development. The result of the development of teaching materials in the form of module based on the quality of each aspect in the learning media in terms of experts materials with very good category with an average score of 81, in terms of media experts with good category with an average score of 69.33, and student response with very good category with an average score of 37.81. Based on the assessment, the teaching materials in the form of the module are very suitable for learning.

Abstract

Low student learning outcomes associated with many factors. The relationship between learning cylinders, learning creativity, and family students' environment is possibly related to learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the presence or absence of positive and significant relationships between learning cylinders, learning creativity, and the family student's environment to Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Students Class VII of SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta in Even Semester in Academic Year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of VII of SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisted of class  VII A, VII B, VII C, VII D, VII E, VII F, VII G, VII H, VII I, VII J, totaling 345 students. Samples were taken from VII B as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses a questionnaire method to collect the data of learning cylinders, learning creativity, and the environment of family student and test method to get the resulting learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, linearity test, and the test of independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between learning cylinders, learning creativity, and the environment of the family student with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VII of SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta in Even Semester in Academic Year of 2016/2017. Abstract

Learning mathematics is still a lesson that is considered difficult for students. Student activities also seemed to be still low in class VII-D in the even semester of SMP Negeri 1 Imogiri. Bantul Regency. This study aims to improve mathematics learning activities using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model for seventh-grade students in the even semester of the SMP Negeri 1 Imogiri in Bantul Regency 2018/2019 academic year. This research was included in the classroom action research consisting of two cycles. This study's settings were students of class VII-D State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 1 Imogiri Bantul Regency 2018/2019 academic year. Data collection in this study uses observation methods and interview guidelines. The instruments in this study used observation sheets and interviews. The data analysis technique in this study used a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the Numbered Head Together type of cooperative learning model could improve students' mathematics learning activities in class VII-D SMP Negeri 1 Imogiri  Bantul Regency 2018/2019 academic year. This is evident from the results of observations of mathematics learning activities of students who experienced an increase in each cycle and a positive response from the results of teacher and student interviews. In the first cycle, the percentage of students' mathematics learning activities was 60.75%, and in the second cycle, the average percentage of observations of student activities increased by 75.47%. The results of interviews obtained information that, in general, students are interested and feel happy in learning mathematics using the cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together.

Abstract

The research was conducted because of low student activity in learning mathematics. The purpose of this research is to improve the activity of students in learning mathematics using the cooperative learning model of think pair square (TPS) in class VII of even semester at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Prambanan. This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Prambanan. The type of research is classroom action research. Subjects of this research were students of class VII of even semester at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Prambanan academic year 2015/2016, amounting to 35 students. The object of the research is a cooperative learning model type TPS. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis. The research instruments are student activity observation sheets, teacher activity observation sheets, and interview guides. Success in learning characterized by an increased average percentage of student activity achieved at least a good criteria (≥ 61 %).  The result of this research indicates that the use of mathematical models of cooperative learning type of TPS can enhance student activity. From the observation sheet, there was an increase in student activity with the student in learning mathematics using TPS. In the first cycle, the average student activity reached 57,857% with enough criteria, and the second cycle increased to 64,584% with good criteria. From interview showed a positive response from students to use cooperative learning model type TPS.
