Abstract

The learning process, which is monotonous and has no variation, will make students bored easily. Even learning that focuses on the teacher's effects, students tend to be passive and not accustomed to showing their opinions. Most of them are seen to be silent when the learning process is going on. In that case, it needs an effort to improve students’ learning activity. This research is aimed to improve Mathematics learning activity with cooperative learning model type TPS (TPS) for students class XI Science 3 at State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Dukun Magelang Regency in Academic Year 2017/ 2018. Data is gathered by using an observation sheet and interview. This research belongs to action research, which contains two cycles. The research subject is students of XI Science 3 SMAN 1 Dukun Magelang Regency in Academic Year 2017/ 2018. Whereas the object of the research is to improve students' Mathematics learning activity with cooperative learning model type, TPS for students class XI Science 3 at SMAN 1 Dukun Magelang Regency in Academic Year 2017/ 2018. In collecting the data, the writer uses an observation sheet and interview. The research results show that cooperative learning model type TPS can improve the Mathematics learning activity of XI Science 3 at SMAN 1 Dukun Magelang Regency in Academic Year 2017/ 2018. This case is proved from the result of the observation of Mathematics learning, which works out increasing on each cycle. On cycle, one average presentation of the result of students' observation of Mathematics learning activity is about 49,53%. On cycle II average presentation of the result of students' observation of Mathematics, learning activity is about 70,27%. From the interview result, it can be explained that common students are interested and feel pleased in learning Mathematics with cooperative learning model type TPS.

Abstract

Low of student mathematics learning outcomes are related to several factors. Self Confidence, learning discipline, and use of learning resources is some of the factors related to learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant relationship among confidence, learning discipline, and use of learning resources with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of even Semester of  MTsN Yogyakarta II in the academic year of 2015/2016. The population in this study was the girl students of grade VIII in MTsN Yogyakarta II in the academic year of 2015/2016, which was divided into 4 classes, namely VIII D, VIII E, VIII F, VIII G totaling 137 students. Samples were taken in class VIII E as research class sample and with random sampling technique to the class. Data was collected by questionnaire and test method. The research instrument were validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes test of normality, linearity, and the independence. Analysis of the data for testing hypothesis using correlation and linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship among self confidence, learning discipline, and use of learning resources with mathematics learning outcomes students of class VIII of even Semester in MTsN Yogyakarta II in the academic year of 2015/2016. It was showed by Fcount =  Ftable = 2.9011 with R = 0.511998 and R2 = 0.2621 with , with SR = 30.7344 , SR = 18.5067% ,and SR = 50.75895% SE = , SE = and SE = 13.3060524 %.

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' learning interest in mathematics using Macromedia flash professional eight media-based learning on the subject of cubes and rectangular prism on students class VIII B of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta the academic year 2016/2017. The subjects of this research are students of class VIII B of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta in 2016/2017. The object of this research is the mathematics learning process using Macromedia flash professional eight media-based learning. The techniques of data collection are observation and interview. The data are analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis. This research is included in class action research consists of two cycles. The result of this research showed that Macromedia flash professional eight media-based learning can increase students' learning interest in the mathematics of class VIII B in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta academic year 2016/2017. It can be seen from the result of the observation sheet about students’ learning interest in each cycle, which is the percentage of students’ learning interest in mathematics in cycle I is 55,06% with the criteria of enough and in cycle II was increased to 62,49% with the criteria of good. Moreover, each cycle's test result also increased, which can be seen from a test result in cycle I, which has 71,25, and in cycle II the mean was increased to 77,08.

Abstract

The verbal ability of grade VIII students of MTs Al Mu'min Temanggung Islamic Junior High School Academic Year 2017/2018 on learning mathematics was still lacking. This research aimed to increase students' verbal ability on mathematics learning using group learning models of students class VIII in MTs Al Mu'min Temanggung on even semester in 2017/2018.  This research is a Classroom Action Research. The setting use class VIII-A with 30 students. The research was conducted two cycles by using group learning models. The method of data collection using observation, interview, and documentation. The instrument research using observation sheet and interview guidelines. The instrument analyzes using content validity. The analysis used in the research is a qualitative descriptive analysis. This research showed that learning by using group learning models can increase students' verbal ability to learn mathematics in class VIII-A of MTs Al Mu'min Temanggung Islamic Junior High School Academic Year 2017/2018. These things were proven by observing the student's verbal ability to learning in every cycle has increased. The average percentage of observations resulting from students' verbal ability on the first cycle was 43.33% with enough criteria, and on-cycle II, it increases to 62.33% with good criteria. The results of interviews with students showed a positive response to the student's verbal ability.

Abstract

The study was conducted on the grounds that learning commonly applied in Jetis Middle School 3 in Bantul Regency tends to be teacher-centered, students become passive and less involved in the learning process, so learning models that involve students are needed. One learning model that can provide opportunities for students to be active in the Cooperative Learning Model Type TAI (Team-Assisted Individualization) and NHT type (Number Head Together). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Cooperative Learning Type TAI (Team-Assisted Individualization) and NHT type (Number Head Together) on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII students of SMP N 3 Jetis Bantul district, even semester 2015/2016 academic year on the subject of flat building rectangular. The population in this study were all VII graders in the even semester of SMP N 3 Jetis, Bantul Regency in the 2015/2016 academic year which were divided into 7 classes namely VII A, VII B, VII C, VII D, VII E, VII F, and VII G which a total of 212 students. The samples were taken in 3 classes with a purposive sampling technique, obtained class VII B as Experiment Class I, class VII A as Experimental Class II, and Class VII C as Control Class. The data analysis technique used for the prerequisite test includes the normality test with the Chi-Square formula, the homogeneity test with the Bartlett test, and the hypothesis test includes the F Test and the Least Significant Different (LSD) test. The results at a significant level of 5% and df = (2, 94) indicate (1) that at least two classes have differences in mathematics learning outcomes of students who use the Cooperative Learning Model Type TAI, NHT type, and direct learning models. This is indicated by the value  so   and (2) Classes that use the Cooperative learning model Type TAI are more effective than those using the NHT type learning model on learning outcomes and classes that use NHT type learning are more effective than those that use direct learning models on learning outcomes. This is indicated by the results of the LSD hypothesis test where a significant level of 5% and 94 degrees of freedom were obtained in case I   = 7,92 and LSD = 6,35 so then  > LSD then  rejected and = 80,00 and = 72,08 means . In case II = 15,625 and LSD = 6,35 so then  > LSD then  rejected and = 80,00 and =  means . While in the case III = 7,708 and LSD = 6,30 so then  > LSD so  rejected and = 72,08 and =  means . It concluded that .

Abstract

Mathematics learning result is related to many factors. Learning interest and learning environment at home are some factors that are suspected to be related to the student's mathematics learning result. The study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant correlation between learning interest and learning environment at home with mathematics learning results of student grade VIII at State Junior High School (SMP N) 1 Sedayu Bantul, even semester academic year 2018/2019. The study population was students of grades VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, VIII E, VIII F, and VIII G of SMP N 1 Sedayu Bantul, even semester academic year 2018/2019 with a total of 188 students. A random sampling technique took the sample to class, and it was obtained that class VIII E consisted of 31 students. The data collection technique was used questionnaires and tests. The research instrument test was used as a validity test, a reliability test, and a different power test. The prerequisite tests analysis included a normality test, an independent test, and a linearity test. The analysis of data was used correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. Abstract

The conventional method in learning mathematics made the students passive to comprehend especially for the students 8 grade of SMP N 1 Rakit District of Banjarnegara. The purpose of this research was to improve the mathematics learning result of students through learning together (LT) type from the cooperative learning model. This research was Class action research (CAR). The subjects of this study were the first semester of eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Rakit in the academic year of 2016/2017 about 30 students. The object of this study was a cooperative learning model of learning Learning Together (LT) type. The data were collected through observation, interview, and final test cycle. The analysis of the data was used by descriptive qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the learning of mathematics through while of cooperative learning model of learning together (LT) type can improve students' mathematics learning results. This can be seen from the improvement score. In the first cycle, Most of the students got 72 by the percentage of students completed amount to 56.667%. it increased in the second cycle to 81.884 score with the percentage of students completed an amount about 96.667%.

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes are influenced by several factors, one of which is the model used in the less varied learning of mathematics still centered on the teacher. This study aims to determine more effective learning between mathematics learning using the cooperative learning model type to match mathematics learning using a direct learning model to students' mathematics learning outcomes. The population in this study were all eight grade students of Muhammadiyah Junior High School 2 Kalasan (SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan) in Academic Year 2016/2017, which consists of 5 classes. The sampling technique using a random sampling class and selected VIII E as an experimental class and VIII C as a control class. The data was collected used in the test method. Instrument testing used validity and reliability test. Data analysis techniques used for the analysis include the prerequisite test, normality test, and homogeneity test. To test the hypothesis in this study, a two-party t-test and one-party t-test with a significant level of 5% were tested. Based on mathematics learning result obtained that 1) tcount = 4,2948 and ttable = = 2,0650 which means > . This means that there is a difference in learning outcomes between learning mathematics using a cooperative learning model type. It makes a match with mathematics learning using a direct learning model of eight grade students of Muhammadiyah Junior High school 2 Kalasan (SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan) of even semester in Academic Year 2016/2017. 2)  tcount = 4,2948 and ttable = = 1,7116 which means tcount  > . Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of teaching materials in electronic modules to help students learn independently. This development research aims to develop, find out the feasibility, and know the students' response to the mathematics e-module subject matter for high school class XI students based on the curriculum 2013 using assessment from material experts, media Experts student responses. This research is development research with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) models that produce products in the form of mathematics e-module subject matter sequence for high school students of class XI curriculum 2013 using Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Pro Software. Subjects in this study were material experts, media experts, and class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Sewon Bantul and State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 2 Ngaglik Sleman in the 2017/2018 Academic Year. The object of this study is the product of e-modules developed. This data collection technique is in the form of a questionnaire technique. The research data were obtained from questionnaires for media experts, material experts, and student responses. The data in this study were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively to determine the feasibility of the e-module developed and to find out the students' response to the e-modules developed. This study succeeded in developing Mathematical e-module subject matter for high school students based on the curriculum 2013. From the expert material assessment results, an average score of 92.3 was obtained with eligible criteria. The media expert assessment obtained an average score of 104.3 with very feasible criteria. The assessment of student responses obtained an average score of 74.4 with good criteria. These results indicate that the mathematics e-module subject matter sequence for high school students in class XI based on the curriculum 2013 is appropriate for the classroom's learning process.

Abstract

Learning centered on teachers caused students less active in following learning math.This study attempts to improve activity learned mathematics through learning model cooperative type Teams Games Tournament ( TGT ) on a student VIII c odd semester SMP muhammadiyah pleret bantul academic year 2016 / 2017. The research is the act of class research ( PTK).A subject in this research is VIII  students class c junior muhammadiyah pleret district bantul odd semester academic year 2016 /2017.Whereas the object investigated in this study is the application of the cooperative model learning type Teams Games Tournament ( TGT ) on grade students VIII C odd semester SMP muhammadiyah pleret academic year 2016 / 2017. The research was done as many as three cycles. Data was gathered using sheets of observation, and an interview .Data analysis used is descriptive qualitative. The result showed that through learning model cooperative type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) could jazz up the activity learned mathematics graders VIII C odd semester SMP muhammadiyah pleret bantul academic year 2016 / 2017. This is apparent from the observation students sheets activity was increasing ever cycle, at the cycle I the percentage of activity students 50,39 % on enough, the percentage of students II activity of 53,88 % on good, the percentage of students III activity of 70,81 % on good. From the pieces, observation activity was also was increasing every cycle. From the interviews obtained information that students interested in general and who love in learning math.
