Abstract

Banyuwangi Regency is a district that implements organic farming, there are two institutions engaged in organic agriculture that have been certified by LeSOS in Banyuwangi Regency, namely PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia and Sumber Urip Farmers Group. Farmer's reason for joining PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia is one of them to increase income. This study aims to determine the difference in income between farmer partners and non-partners of PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia. Sampling method to determine the income of partner and non-partner farmers PT. Sirtanio Organic Indonesia is using total sampling. Data collection methods used in this study use interviews, observation and literature studies. The analytical method used is analytic. The results showed that there were significant differences between the income of partner and non-partner farmers. The average cost incurred by partner farmers is Rp. 9,790,724 / Ha while the costs incurred by non-partner farmers amounted to Rp. 12,904,945 / Ha. The average partner farmer acceptance is Rp. 28,160,273 / Ha, the average income of non-partner farmers is Rp. 27,761,520 / Ha. Partner farmer income of Rp. 18,369,549 / Ha, while the income of non-partner farmers is Rp. 14,856,575 / Ha.

Abstract

Red chili farmers in Andongsari Village establish partnerships with "Lestari" horticultural cooperatives. Some the reasons of farmers partnering are fluctuating price certainty because market conditions are always changing, the physical nature of red chili is rotten quickly and easily damaged, and uncertain weather.These reasons are problems that can lead to make risks and price risks so farmers decide to partner with cooperatives. Based on this, the purpose of this study was to find out the partnership pattern between red chili farmers in Andongsri Village with " Lestari " horticultural cooperatives.The sample determination method uses purposive sampling. Data collection method uses interview, observation and literature study techniques. The analytical method is descriptive. The results of this study are the partnership pattern formed between red chili farmers and " Lestari " horticultural cooperatives is a pattern of Agribusiness Operational Cooperation (KOA). In the partnership there is a partnership agreement where the “Lestari” horticultural cooperative has the rights and obligations to get the production according to the agreement, cancel the contract, lend the product, guarantee the market and prices, and provide technical guidance. Farmers have the right and obligation to obtain credit for inputs, get paid as promised, sell red pepper to cooperatives, and pay loans. However, the partnership has problems such as quantity and quality that are not in accordance with the agreement, and cooperatives that do not pay the results on time.

Abstract

The development of online media in the digitalization era has an influence on the direction of changes in economic structure. This research was conducted in Jember Regency, East Java, especially for MSMEs who were registered with the Cooperative and MSME Office of Jember Regency. The goal to be achieved is to provide an overview of the application of online media which is divided into 6 (six) levels. MSME players in the Jember region possess their respective characteristics which are differentiated by stage / stage. The use of online media in each of those used by MSME actors also brings benefits. The benefits of using online media are divided into 15 (fifteen). At a certain level the benefits of using online media are significant, but some others do not have much impact.

Abstract

Anomali iklim yang melanda berbagai wilayah di Indonesia membuat masyarakat nelayan mengalami masa-masa paceklik. Paceklik terjadi sebagai akibat dari penurunan jumlah ikan dilautan sebagai dampak dari terjadinya fenomena El Nino dan El Nina membuat nelayan kesulitan mendapatkan hasil tangkapan ikan, seperti yang dialami nelayan jukung khusunya yang menangkap ikan lemuru dan benggol. Hasil tangkapan yang sedikit akan berdampak langsung terhadap pendapatan yang rendah dan perubahan cuaca yang tidak dapat diduga oleh nelayan sehingga menyebabkan nelayan mengalami kerentanan dan kesulitan untuk mempertahankan kehidupannya. Penelitian ini berfungsi untuk mengetahui apa saja penyebab nelayan jukung mengalami kerentanan agar dapat dirumuskan cara untuk menguranginya. Penentuan daerah penelitian ini dilakukan secara sengaja yaitu Desa Puger Kulon Kecamatan Puger. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Key informant ditentukan secara sengaja yakni nelayan jukung dan informan pendukung adalah istri nelayan jukung dan staf TPI Puger. Analisis data menggunakan analisis Miles and Huberman. Metode keabsahan menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa. 1) Kerentanan nelayan jukung Desa Puger Kulon berasal dari faktor eksternal yaitu keterbatasan lapangan pekerjaan, kesulitan memenuhi modal kerja, arogansi kelompok dan faktor internal yaitu relasi sosial antara gender dan umur, kebiasaan dan pasar, serta kelembagaan

Abstract

The essential factor in conducting agricultural activities is the land. The function of the agricultural land is not only as a productive asset but also as a product that can be used to be traded. This condition happened in one of villages in Jember regency, that was Kepanjen. The effect of land trading was the change of agricultural land tenure. This change would cause the land tenure distribution and also influence the farmer economic condition through their income. The aims of this research were to know the agricultural land tenure distribution and farming income in Kepanjen by using gini index ratio on 43 farmers. Based on the result of the research, it was known that the agricultural land tenure distribution in Kepanjen was in lame category with 0.51 gini index value. The income received by the farmers was differentiated based on 2 planting patterns. The first planting pattern (paddy and palawija) had average income as much as Rp 18.738. 494 / year, while, the second planting pattern (paddy, palawija and horticulture) had average income as much as Rp 27.768.630 / year. The income distribution in Kepanjen showed the unequal condition with 0.67 gini coefficient ratio.

Abstract

Penyakit Vascular Streak Dieback (VSD) termasuk penyakit utama pada tanaman kakao. Pengendalian penyakit VSD secara mekanis, kultur teknis, dan kimiawi sering dilakukan namun hasilnya masih belum memuaskan. Pencegahan terhadap infeksi penyakit pada tanaman diperlukan pemahaman mengenai ketahanan bahan tanam dan faktor lingkungan yang berpengaruh terhadap penyebaran penyakit tersebut. Aplikasi boron diharapkan dapat mengurangi infeksi VSD melalui peningkatan ketahanan alami tanaman kakao. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi boron terhadap insiden penyakit VSD pada bibit kakao dan kemampuan boron menginduksi peningkatan kandungan senyawa Lignin, Polifenol, dan Selulosa yang berfungsi sebagai mekanisme ketahanan kimiawi tanaman terhadap penyakit dalam jaringan daun tanaman kakao. Aplikasi boron yang terkandung dalam asam Borat dapat menurunkan insiden penyakit VSD dengan mengiduksi peningkatan kandungan Polifenol dan Lignin dalam jaringan tanaman kakao. Aplikasi asam borat dengan konsentrasi 75 ppm sudah mampu menurunkan insiden penyakit pada bibit dari 93,33 persen (tanpa aplikasi) menjadi 50 persen, dan makin tinggi konsentrasi penurunan insiden penyakit makin besar. Secara umum, aplikasi asam borat ternyata dapat meningkatkan kandungan bahan penginduksi ketahanan (boron, polifenol, lignin, dan selulosa). Pada konsentrasi 150 ppm dan 300 ppm, insiden penyakit dapat diturunkan masing-masing menjadi 31,67 persen dan 20,00 persen dan meningkatkan kandungan semua bahan penginduksi ketahanan, sementara dengan konsentrasi 75 ppm hanya kandungan boron dan lignin yang meningkat. Ditinjau dari frekuensi aplikasi, ternyata aplikasi asam borat sebanyak tujuh kali dengan selang dua minggu justru menghasilkan insiden penyakit VSD yang lebih besar daripada empat kali aplikasi dengan selang empat minggu, namun secara statistik tidak berbeda nyata. Aplikasi asam borat pada konsentrasi 300 ppm sebanyak 4 kali dapat direkomendasikan untuk mengendalian penyakit VSD di pembibitan kakao, dan pemanfaatan asam borat tidak berpengaruh negatif terhadap pertumbuhan bibit

Abstract

The production of purple sweet potato plants in East Java is quite abundant however lack of optimization so it has a low selling price of around Rp. 3000 - Rp. 4000 / Kg. In order for the selling value of purple sweet potato to increase the way it does is by processing purple sweet potato into a secondary product. Agroindustry is a diversification of agricultural production that provides benefits in agricultural development . Agroindustry that does processing activities from purple sweet potato is agroindustry UD. Nula Abadi in Bondowoso District which processes sweet potatoes into flour. Then flour is processed into processed products, one of which is purple sweet potato noodles. Purple sweet potato flour has better content and also interesting results the distinctive taste and color of purple sweet potato in making noodles. Products from agroindusty are new innovations. Based on the phenomenon of researchers wanting to find out whether sweet potato noodles provide added value and agroindustry development strategies for purple sweet potato noodle products , research is needed regarding the value added analysis and development strategies of purple sweet potato noodles . The method of determining the sample used is purposive sampling based on the data sources needed with consideration of peoplewho are considered to understand the research . Methods of data collection using interview techniques, observation and literature. The analytical method used is the Hayami method to determine the value added analysis and to use the SWOT analysis to determine the development strategy of purple sweet potato noodles. The results of this study indicate that (1) The added value of purple sweet potato noodles provides moderate added value. The added value obtained is Rp. 51,020 / Kg with a value added ratio of 57.98%. (2). The development strategy of purple sweet potato noodles are in a position that is stronger Area White-chance. So that, prospective and potential opportunities for the construction and development of agroindustry -UD. Nula Abadi in the future.

Abstract

Puffer fish until now has not been explored optimally because it is known as a toxic commodity and difficult to process. Jaya Utama Agroindustrial is an agro-industry that processes Puffer fish into various preparations, namely fillets, rambak, and Puffer fish bone peanut brittle. L.spadiceus that is used by Agroindustri Jaya Utama has poison in the part of his heart. Based on this, the purpose of this research is to find out the production system from the production process, the type of production, and the layout of production facilities of Agroindustri Jaya Utama. The sample determination method uses purposive sampling. Data collection method uses observation, interview, documentation and literature study techniques. The analytical method is descriptive. The result of this research is the production system from the production process, the type of production, and the layout of production facilities used by agro-industries. The analytical method used is descriptive. The result showed that the production process of Puffer fish fillets focused on the process of weeding, the production process of rambak focused on the separation of the skin and the bone crest of Puffer fish focusing on the drying stage; The type of production applied by agro-industry is the intermittent type; The layout of production facilities used is layout by process.

Abstract

The organic farming system aims to produce agricultural healter without chemical residues and reduce soil, water and air pollution. PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia is a private company engaged in organic agriculture that produces organic red rice as a best seller product of the company. His business produces organic red rice, PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia has partnered with organic red rice farmers with a system of employment contracts that applies to only one planting season so that organic red rice farmers need to do a period of work contract expansions. The existence of the employment contract causes the number of partners of organic red rice partners every planting season is not the same. The research objective was to identify partnership patterns between organic rice farmers and partner companies. The research area was determined purposively and the problems were answered using descriptive methods. From the results of the study, it is known that to become a partner farmer, the farmer must fulfill several conditions determined by the partner company. The partnership pattern between farmers of PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia with organic red rice farmers is a sub-contract partnership pattern which is characterized by rice cultivated by partner rice farmers which is the main ingredient by partner companies to produce organic brown rice.

Abstract

Bimorejo Village was one of the areas which had the most potential to expanse or develop onion agribusiness. Those were seen from the high amount of onion production of the village compared to the other areas located in the same sub-district. It was inseparable from the Institutional Agribusiness from upstream until downstream. However, those institutional agribusiness were not complex enough as there were not any Village Cooperative System (Indonesia: Koperasi Unit Desa) and agroindustry. It was also worsened by the institutions that did not undertake their role in the business, making the support given did not suffice. This research was done to know the reinforcement of the institutional agribusiness towards the expansion of Onion Agribusiness in Bimorejo Village. This research was done in Bimorejo Village using purposive method. This research was designed as a qualitative research with case study method. The sources of the data were chosen by using purposive sampling. The data was collected by using in-depth interview, non-participative observation, and document review. The data was then analyzed by using a method by Miles and Huberman. The validity test was done by using source and technique triangulation. The results of this research showed that the Institutional Agribusiness towards the expansion of onion agribusiness in Bimorejo Village including agriculture store Rukun Tani, Bimalestari farmers association, Tengkulak, Agriculture Counseling Bureau (Indonesia: Balai Penyuluh Pertanian/BPP), HIPPA Bimatirta, irrigation public works department, Bimorejo Village functionaries. The aforementioned support from Institutional Agribusiness could be classified in three forms: Instrumental Support, Emotional Support, and Informational Support.
