Abstract

Watulimo district is one of districts in Trenggalek that produces cloves. The potency of this plant at Watulimo district Trenggalek makes some people build business or agro-industry such as industry of essential oil from clove leaves by utilizing the waste from clove plant. The condition of clove raw material is very influential on essential oil refining business stability and sustainability at Watulimo district. Raw material availability of clove essential oil refining industry must be fulfilled by using raw material inventory control method that is appropriate and it can minimize the cost, so that the industry can continue to run and develop. The research purpose are to know (1) clove leaves as raw material availability level of clove leaves essential oil refining at Watulimo sub district Trenggalek regency, (2) the prospect of clove leaves essential oil refining development at Watulimo district, Trenggalek. The determination of research area was conducted by using purposive methods. The Method of this research uses descriptive and analytic methods. The sample used is one small industry and one home industry. In this research, the researcher used primary and secondary data. The Analysis that used are (1) Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method with Lot For Lot Technique, Economic Order Quantity, Period Order Quantity, and Balancing Part Period, (2) SWOT Analysis. Result of this research, it can be concluded that: (1) the control and the procurement method of raw material of clove leaves essential oil refining industries at Watulimo district is not efficient and economic. MRP method PPB technique is recommended as alternative method in raw material control and procurement in small industry owned by Bapak Sutoyo by saving total cost of Rp. 32.171.717 or 17,22%, whereas MRP method POQ technique is recommended in domestic industry owned by Ibu Nur Utami by saving total cost of Rp. 19.429.800 or 23,11%, (2) SWOT accounting and analysis result showed that clove leaves essential oil refining industries at Watulimo district still in white area position, so it is profitable and has prospective opportunity and potential to do.

Abstract

Kabupaten Banyuwangi menjadi salah satu sentra penghasil cabai merah di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Produktivitas cabai merah mengalami fluktuasi yang disebabkan oleh pengaruh cuaca. Kondisi tersebut menjadi kendala dalam memenuhi permintaan cabai merah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui manajemen rantai suplai cabai merah di Kabupaten Banyuwangi; (2) mengetahui efisiensi rantai pasokan cabai merah di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan analitik. Sampel untuk responden dipilih dengan menggunakan purposive sampling dan snowball sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa (1) manajemen rantai pasokan cabai merah di Kabupaten Banyuwangi diterapkan dengan membentuk (a) Struktur rantai pasokan cabai merah di Kabupaten Banyuwangi yang terdiri dari 10 lembaga yang merupakan petani, Asosiasi Agribisnis Cabai Indonesia Cabang Kabupaten Banyuwangi (AACI) , supplier, pedagang pengumpul desa, pengirim langsung, pedagang besar di luar wilayah Kabupaten Banyuwangi, industri pengolahan, pedagang pasar, pengecer, dan konsumen. 2) Rantai pasokan cabai merah di Kabupaten Banyuwangi tidak efisien dikarenakan terdapat salah satu saluran distribusi yang tidak dapat memenuhi pendekatan margin pemasaran, farmer’s share, dan efisiensi pemasaran, yaitu saluran distribusi IV (pedagang pengumpul desa-pedagang pasar pedagang-pedagang-konsumen) memiliki farmer’s share 68,33%

Abstract

Cabbage is one of Dukuhdempok’s superior commodities. The drastic decline of cabbageproduction in 2017 showed a production risk on cabbage farming. In addition, the selling systemby bought before harvesting showed that farmers only act as price taker and it indicated the pricerisk. Based on that, this research is conducted to know: (1) The level of production risk and pricerisk on cabbage farming, and (2) Farmer’s behavior in facing the price risk of cabbage farming. Themethod of determining research area is done using purposive method, there was DukuhdempokDukuhdempok Village Wuluhan Sub-district Jember Regency as research area. The researchmethod used descriptive and analytical method. The sampling method used purposive and totalsampling. The samples are cabbage farmer of ―Rukun Tani‖ group amount 33 farmer. Datacollection method is done by obeservation, interview, and documentary study. Data analysismethod of production risk and price risk is done by value of coefficient variation analysis. Farmer’sbehavior in facing the price risk of cabbage farming is analyzed by quadratic utility function thatusing software of SPSS Statistics v23. The results showed that: (1) Production risk level withvalue of CV was 0,44 < 0,5 and price risk with value of CV 0,35 < 0,5 so both of them were lowlevel. (2) Mostly 78,8% or 26 persons of cabbage farmers were risk neutral; 15,2% or 5 personwere risk averter; and 6,1% or 2 person were risk taker

Abstract

Dried Milled Grain (GKG) is produced grain by drying process with the maximum water content of 14% and ready milled into rice. Increased production of organic red rice PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia 2016 and 2017 wasn’t followed by an increase production of GKG as raw material for rice. In 2016 and 2017 GKG production are 127,382.75kg and 120,639.75kg. The availability of GKG hasn’t been able to meet production of organic red rice which is known that organic red rice production 2016 is 166,114.50kg and 2017 is 204,691.60kg. This study aims to find out the compliance strategies of GKG to satisfy organic red rice production. Determination of research area with purposive method that is PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia, Sumberbaru Village, Singojuruh, Banyuwangi. The research method used analytical method and analyzed using analytical hierarchy process (AHP). The result showed the prioritized compliance strategy of GKG to fulfill the production of organic red rice PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia is cooperate with other organic rice producers (0,262) regarding the availability criteria of GKP (0,591) based on raw material consideration (0,601), and others statregy as supporting. The second strategic priority is to increase the area of cultivated land by increasing number of partner farmers(0.253). The third strategic priority is to collaborate with the rice drying and grinding services(0.235). The fourth strategic priority is the use of dryer machines in grain fulfillment(0.168). The fifth strategic priority, increasing mastery of technology and SOP information(0.081).

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest coconut producer in Southeast Asia. The relatively cheap priceof coconut make this commodity does not provide economic incentives for coconut farmers.Therefore, cooperatives can play a significant role in increasing the value of coconut productsthrough processing coconut into products that have a high added value. This study is carried outby descriptive method through survey and observation to the location of the coconut center, wherethe production and marketing were cooperatives, namely in Purworejo Disctrict, Central Java. Theresults of the study show that cooperatives have played an important role in marketing coconutproducts through coconut manufacturing and marketing to international markets both offline andonline. Coconut farmers who are members of cooperatives get many benefits, including being ableto sell coconuts at higher prices, processing them into high value-added products (VCO, coconutoil, crystal sugar, bath soap and other cosmetic products), and marketing coconut productsthroughout the archipelago and even exporting to the international market. Cooperatives inPurworejo District have succeeded in implementing the industrial system 4.0 in the value chain ofmarketing coconut products.

Abstract

Robusta coffee is a potential commodity developed by the farming community in Belatungan, Pupuan. The development of Pupuan Robusta coffee is carried out continuously both by the government and the farmers as to maintain the quality of the processing technology on honey processed robusta ceffee. This study aimed to find out the farmers’ perceptions towards the innovation of the processing technology on honey processed robusta coffee. The study was conducted in Belatungan, Pupuan with a purposive method. Purposive sampling method with a certain criteria was used select the informants. The methods of observation, interviews, documentation and focus group discussion were used to obtain the primary and secondary data. The data was analyzed by using Miles and Huberman methods. The results of the study showed that the perception generated by someone over something was influenced by several factors, namely internal and external factors. The internal factors that influenced the farmers’ perceptions towards the application of processing technology on honey processed robusta ceffee were affected by its selling price which is more expensive, the short amount of processing time, the better quality and taste of robusta coffee, and the farmers’ expectation to maintain the processing technologi on honey processed robusta coffee. The external factors that influenced the farmers’ perceptions towards the application of the processing technology on honey processed robusta coffee were affected by several information of honey processed systems and by the easy procedures of it.

Abstract

Tembakau adalah salah satu tanaman yang memiliki potensi dan menguntungkan di Kabupaten Jember. Kegiatan pariwisata di Kabupaten Jember mengalami peningkatan kunjungan wisatawan. Tanaman tembakau selain menjadi tanaman perkebunan juga dapat ditingkatkan melalui kegiatan pariwisata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan pariwisata tembakau Kabupaten Jember. Penentuan daerah penelitian menggunakan purposive method yaitu di Kabupaten Jember Provinsi Jawa Timur. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif dan metode analitis. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling sebanyak 3 orang key informan yaitu dari Museum Tembakau, Boss Image Nusantara, dan Dinas Pariwisata Dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Jember. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan pariwisata di Kabupaten Jember diawali oleh PTPN X unit industri Bobbin menerima kunjungan pada tahun 2011. Berkembang dengan adanya museum dan perpustakaan tembakau pada tahun 2013. Pada tahun 2017 Bos Image Nusantara menerima kunjungan. Hasil analisis FFA menunjukkan bahwa faktor kunci pendorong parwisata tembakau yaitu pariwisiata mudah diakses, sedangkan faktor kunci penghambat priwisata tembakau adalah kurangnya promosi pariwisata tembakau. Peningkatan strategi pada wisata tembakau yaitu; menambah promosi wisata tembakau, menyediakan paket wisata yang bekerjasama dengan pelaku wisata yang bergerak di sektor lain, seperti: penyedia sarana transportasi, dan penyedia fasilitas penginapan.

Abstract

Plastic waste into one of global-scale environmental problems. Types of plastic in circulation in the community is a synthetic plastic from raw petroleum are limited in number, could not be renewed, and the synthetic plastic raw material petroleum difficult degraded by microorganisms or difficult overhauled in biodiversity (nonbiodegradable) thus leading to a buildup of plastic waste which have an impact on environmental pollution so that required the development of plastic that is environmentally friendly and sustainable, known as bioplastic (biodegradable plastic). The research method used was experimental research methods using different treatment. Treatment 1 uses only the base of cassava starch as control (P0), treatment of cassava starch base material 2 added powder tobacco stem 1 gram (P1), treatment of cassava starch 3 basic ingredients added to tobacco stems 2 grams of powder (P2). This research aims to test the ability of biodegradable film bioplastic produced with the help of bacteria EM4. From the test results obtained that the film made from bioplastic starch cassava powder tobacco stem with the addition of biologically degraded on the 6th day.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine factors that affected the income of red onion farming in Ngepoh Village, Dringu Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency. The method in determining the research area was purposively conducted. with the consideration that the Ngepoh Village is one of the potential areas where the majority of the population make a living as farmers who cultivated red onion and the area was also one of the red onion production centers in Dringu Subdistrict. The research method used were analytical and descriptive. The sampling method used in this study was the proportionate stratified random sampling method because farmers in Ngepoh Village possesed different land area characteristics. The number of samples used was obtained based on the use of the Slovin formula with an error rate of 15%. Data collection method was done by interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was performed with multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that factors that significantly affected the income of red onion were cost of seeds,

Abstract

Beef production in East Java has decreased due to the decrease in the number of cattle slaughtered and the desire of farmers to sell or cut cattle. The decline of beef production in East Java is not compare with the increasing consumption of beef each year. This condition will affect the beef availability in East Java in the future. The aims of this research are (1) Beef availability system in East Java, (2) Dynamic model of beef availability in East Java, and (3) Behavior of beef availability in East Java in the future. The research location was determined purposively (Purposive Methods) in East Java. Sampling using multistage sampling technique. The research methond used descriptive analytic method. Data analysis of beef availability system in East Java by descriptive method while the dynamic model of beef availability in East Java by conceptual model, model formulation, and validity test. Data analysis of behavior of beef availability by forecasting and simulation. The results showed: (1) The system of beef availability in East Java Province consisted of two subsystems namely supply subsystem and need subsystem. (2) The system model of beef availability in East Java Province which was developed with a dynamic system approach can be able to represent the system of beef availability in real terms. (3) Behavior of beef availability based on simulation I, the beef availability has decreased. (4) Behavior of beef availability based on simulation II, the behavior of beef availability has increased. (5) Behavior of beef availability in East Java Province based on simulation III has increased
