Abstract

Daya saing destinasi merupakan salah satu indikator kinerja manajerial dan pemasaran suatu destinasi. Untuk melihat sejauh mana suatu destinasi bersaing dengan destinasi lainnya, diperlukan pemahaman mengenai konsep daya saing itu sendiri, faktor yang meliputinya dan indikator-indikator yang digunakan untuk mengukur daya saing tersebut. Destinasi dikatakan berdaya saing jika mampu meningkatkan kehidupan masyarakat lokal dan memperbaiki taraf kesejahteraannya. Artikel ini merupakan studi literatur mengenai konsep daya saing destinasi dan pengukurannya yang bisa diaplikasikan dalam berbagai jenis destinasi pariwisata.  Kata kunci: daya saing destinasi, kesejahteraan, masyarakat lokal.

Abstract

Pilgrimage has become one of religious activities developed by several countries in the world. The region that once was the center of religious development has attracted people to visit. Along with the development of Islam, Middle East countries become the main destination for the pilgrims. Due to high attention given to those countries, travel agencies design various outbond tour packages and offer them to Indonesian people while on the other hand, seem to neglect the fact that Indonesia, too has numerous Islamic heritage with great potential. Religious tourist destinations in Indonesia, particularly in Java is so diverse. The  development of history and culture in Indonesia is significantly influenced by the development of Islam in Java. Most tourism promotion is aimed to introduce the outside world as a major religious tourist destination to Indonesian market, despite the fact that Indonesia also has numerous sites of religious tourism. Religious tourism associated with the religion of Islam in Indonesia, particularly in Java such as in the form of the historical development of Islamic heritage, namely: The mosque founded by leaders of Islamic missionaries on the island of Java called Wali Sanga; Islamic imperial palace such as Kesultanan Cirebon, Kraton Surakarta and Yogyakarta Sultanate; The tomb of Wali Sanga in various places on the island of Java. Islamic religious tourism developments in recent time is highly associated with architectures, mosques, Islamic teaching and others. Islamic religious tourism development should not walk alone but integrated with other attractions because whenever there are religious tourist attractions, there are also other attractions such as nature tourism or cultural tourism. Methods: Desk research and literature study. Expected Results: The study is expected to generate a model of Islamic religious tourism destination management in Indonesia. Keyword: religious traveling (pilgrimage), the Islamic pilgrimage history.

Abstract

Langkah penting yang harus dilakukan oleh seorang guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran adalah memilih, menyederhanakan, menyesuaikan, menetapkan dan menyusun bahan pelajaran menjadi materi yang mudah dimengerti, dicerna dan diterima oleh peserta didik sehingga dapat mencapai perubahan perilaku yang diinginkan. Oleh karena itu guru sebagai pelaksana pembelajaran hendaknya dapat mengambil isi materi yang penting agar dapat melatih peserta didik dalam mengidentifikasi peristiwa-peristiwa atau fakta-fakta yang ada disekitarnya yang akhirnya peserta didik dilatih mengambil kesimpulan dalam rangka membentuk konsep. Dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini peneliti sebagai guru bidang studi IPS berusaha meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model cooperative teknik ’chain message’ yang dapat membangkitkan aktivitas belajar dan membantu mengatasi kesulitan peserta didik dalam memahami kompetensi usaha manusia memenuhi kebutuhan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajara (RPP),  Alat Pembagi Kelompok, Leaflet, LKS, Lembar Observasi, Format Butir Soal, Penetapan Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum, dan Angket. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Jatinangor Kabupaten Sumedang, dengan subjek peserta didik kelas VII D. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini selama 4 bulan dimulai September sampai dengan Desember 2012 pada semester gasal tahun pembelajaran 2012-2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan terutama pada siklus 2 mencapai 86 %. Hasil penilaian evaluasi dalam pemahaman konsep mengalami peningkatan hingga mencapai 82 %  pada siklus 2. Penerapan teknik  Chain Message Cooperative dalam pembelajaran khususnya pada Kompetensi Memahami Usaha Manusia Memenuhi Kebutuhan   sangat membantu guru maupun peserta didik meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Kata kunci: chain message,aktivitas,hasil belajar.

Abstract

Berbagai pihak atau kalangan selalu menyoroti mutu pendidikan termasuk mutu pendidikan di Indonesia. Mutu pendidikan di Indonesia sangat dipengaruhi oleh mutu pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru di kelas. Pendidikan yang bermutu adalah pendidikan yang mampu mengubah psikologis peserta didik. Aliran psikologi belajar yang sangat besar mempengaruhi arah pengembangan teori dan praktik pendidikan dan pembelajaran hingga saat ini adalah aliran behavioristik. Aliran behavioristik ini menekankan pada terbentuknya perilaku yang tampak sebagai hasil belajar. Teori behavioristik dengan model hubungan stimulus respon, mendudukkan orang yang belajar sebagai individu yang pasif. Respon atau perilaku tertentu dengan menggunakan metode drill atau pembiasaan semata. Munculnya perilaku akan semakin kuat bila diberikan reinforcement (penguatan) belajar dan akan menghilang bila dikenai hukuman (sanksi). Menurut teori behavioristik, belajar adalah perubahan tingkah laku sebagai akibat dari adanya interaksi antara stimulus dan respon. Dengan kata lain, belajar merupakan bentuk perubahan yang dialami siswa dalam hal kemampuannya untuk bertingkah laku dengan cara yang baru sebagai hasil interaksi antara stimulus dan respon. Seseorang dianggap telah belajar sesuatu apabila ia dapat menunjukkan perubahan tingkah lakunya secara dinamis dan baik. Menurut teori ini yang terpenting adalah masukan atau input yang berupa stimulus dan keluaran atau output yang berupa respon. Menurut teori behavioristik, apa yang terjadi di antara stimulus dan respon dianggap tidak penting diperhatikan karena tidak dapat diamati dan tidak dapat diukur. Yang dapat diamati hanyalah stimulus dan respons. Oleh sebab itu, apa saja yang diberikan guru (stimulus) dan apa saja yang dihasilkan siswa (respon), semuanya harus dapat diamati dan dapat diukur. Teori ini mengutamakan pengukuran sebab pengukuran merupakan suatu hal yang penting untuk melihat terjadi tidaknya perubahan tingkah laku tersebut. Faktor lain yang juga dianggap penting oleh aliran behavioristik adalah faktor penguatan (reinforcement). Penguatan adalah apa saja yang dapat meemperkuat timbulnya respons. Bila penguatan ditambahkan (positive reinforcement), maka respon akan semakin kuat. Begitu juga bila penguatan dikurangi (negative reinforcement), maka respon pun akan tetap dikuatkan. Jadi, penguatan merupakan suatu bentuk stimulus, yang penting diberikan (ditambahkan) atau dihilangkan (dikurangi) untuk memungkinkan terjadinya respon yang positif. Pembelajaran yang dirancang dan berpijak pada teori behavioristik memandang pengetahuan adalah objektif, pasti, dan tetap (tidak berubah) sehingga teori behavioristik dianggap masih relevan.Kata Kunci: Belajar dan Pembelajaran, Mutu Pendidikan, Psikologi Belajar,  Teori Behavioristik

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of meta-cogenesis learning through an inquiry method in order to increase the understanding of Social Science Education concepts and critical thinking skills of students. This study employed a quantitative approach with quasi experiment method and Pretest Control Group design. The population of this study was the students in class VII at SMPN 2 Menes. With respect to the sample of this study, the class VII B was used as the experimental class by applying metacognition learning through an inquiry method and the Class VII A as the control class that applied a problem-based learning method. The research instrument was a multiple choice form test used to understand the Social Science Education concepts and essay form tests used to measure critical thinking skills, observation sheets and interviews. The data of those aforementioned test results was analyzed quantitatively to measure the means difference between the two sample classes. The results of this study showed (1) there was a difference between the pretest and posttest results on the understanding of Social Science Education concepts and critical thinking skills in the experiment and control classes, (2) there was no significant difference of influences between experiment and control classes in improving the understanding of Social Science Education concepts and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a decrease in the level of quality of life in line with the decline in volume and quality of water that is in the earth, with the aim to improve the ecological intelligence students about water conservation. This classroom action research conducted with fourth grade students at SDN Sukaperna I Majalengka. Solution action used is to apply learning-based IPS values of local wisdom situ sangiang so focused for students to interact with the natural surroundings. This research was conducted in three cycles consisting of a cycle component of knowledge, awareness and application. The results showed that the application of the values of local wisdom in learning IPS can increase the intelligence of the ecological aspects of water conservation. It is evident from the percentage component of intelligence character formation of ecological aspects of water conservation in the form of knowledge, awareness, and applications continue to increase at every meeting in the cycle. Thus, the hypothesis has been made evident that the application of the values of local wisdom can increase the intelligence of the students on the ecological aspects of water conservation in social studies learning.Keywords: Intelligence ecological, water conservation, local wisdom, social studies learning.

Abstract

This study aims to design non-personal interpretation media to provide knowledge and education for tourists. The theme applied to non-personal interpretation media planning is the History of Kawah Putih using the Interpretation and Map Board. This research uses qualitative method and quantitative method. The results showed that non-personal media could provide new knowledge or education to visitors about the Kawah Putih. The new knowledge that tourists get from this media is Gunung Patuhas’ characteristics, Kawah Putih and Kawah Saat formation process, Kawah Putihs’ characteristics, and Goa Bekas Tambang Belerang. In addition, this media also helps tourists to know the distribution of facilities in the area Kawah Putih.

Abstract

This study aims to overcome the lack of students’ history awareness through the application of local culture of Kenduri Sko as a learning resource. The research was conducted in class X IS 3 SMA Negeri 2 Kerinci. The method used is Classroom Action Research. The results showed that: (1) teachers have implemented learning in accordance with the design of learning; (2) learning history using local culture of Kenduri Sko as a learning resource has succeeded in increasing the awareness of learners' history that is knowledge and understanding of learners about cultural change, interest in history study, pride of local culture; (3) constraints faced by partner teachers is to measure the attitudes and behaviors of learners.

Abstract

The development of the history education curriculum of 2013 has developed various competencies. In particular, one of those competencies is communication. Communication is the process of conveying information. In addition, good communication will support the success of student learning and also be a provision for students in the moment when they come into a community. The student's historical experience is an experience of students experienced directly by themselves in their time using a constructivist theory. Therefore, students can communicate their historical experiences either orally or in writing by drawing historical learning materials toward contemporary social issues. As a result, the students are placed as the historical actor in their age and make the history learning more meaningful.

Abstract

Aikido as a form of martial arts has its own unique characteristics both in term of tradition and communication behavior that applied by its students. The study is aimed to analyze the practitioners’ nonverbal communication behaviors in Bandung Aiki Jutsu nonaffiliated Aikido school. The study focused on three matters related to the communication phenomena, and they are; nonverbal communication pattern, meanings of nonverbal symbols comprehended by the practitioners, and the practitioners’ social construction as well as the school. The author employed a qualitative approach in the tradition of phenomenology. Then, in collecting the data, the author employed an emic approach in order to have an in-depth interview and a participation observation. Besides, documentation study is used to support the data findings. The result of the study shown that there are two motives that appear behind the practitioners interest toward Bandung Aiki Jutsu Aikido school, they are internal aikidoka motive and external aikidoka motive. Besides, the study pointed out that the nonverbal symbols in the Aikido school are apreciated by the Aikido practitioners as symbols of self harmony, respect, motivation, togetherness, self identity, self confidence, and responsibility The applied nonverbal symbols is a form of appreciation and acculturation towards Japanese culture. Therefore, the Japanese culture can be synchronized to local culture that has been obtained by the Aikido practitioners in Bandung Aiki Jutsu. Moreover, the nonverbal symbols that applied by the Aikido practitioners appear to have subsitution, complementary, and accentualization function.Key words: Aikido, Bandung Aiki Jutsu, Nonverbal Communication
