Abstract

The mosque serves as the hub for all activities, particularly those that are religious and linked to prayer. When a mosque's current structure is unable to handle the activities of its congregation as a result of societal change and population growth, problems arise. Comfort in serving the congregation and the community supports the construction of ideal circumstances in a mosque. Planning functions and forms that make the most of current circumstances can facilitate easy accessibility and the requirements of the congregation's activities. Lastly, a mosque is a container or location that accommodates all activities linked to prayer and other religious activities. It is not only an identity or a symbol.

Abstract

Caring for pets has become part of the lifestyle of modern society. The high interest in keeping animals is directly proportional to the growth of the abandoned animal population in Banjarbaru City. The follow-up to this problem is to create a shelter facility for abandoned animals who are sick, injured, tortured, or need protection in the form of Cat Shelters. The design of the Cat Shelter in Banjarbaru pays attention to the habits and character of cats. Programmatic architecture is used to organize space functions based on the flow of cat rescue activities and the interaction of cats and humans. The attractive concept is applied in the design to be able to make humans and cats whose characters are spoiled and cute have good interactions. The design was made several times to separate cat rescue activities and cat interaction activities

Abstract

Central Kalimantan is a province that has a lot of diverse characteristics, one of the characteristics of Central Kalimantan is the processed foods made from kelakai. There are many people who interested to this type of ferns. Beside that, there are also many manufacturers of the processed foods. However, not infrequently there are still many who don't know about kelakai as a characteristic of Central Kalimantan. Therefore, Kelakai Agrotourism in Palangkaraya is a form of solution to this problem, to introduce kelakai as a characteristic of Central Kalimantan and as a distribution platform for manufacturers of processed kelakai foods in order to further advance MSMEs, especially in Palangkaraya as the provincial capital of Central Kalimantan. To realize the design goals, this Agrotourism has two aspects of objectives, they are educative and participatory, as a form of providing knowledge to the community accompanied by concrete actions (participation). To realize the design with this goal, it is necessary to use the concept of Metaphor Architecture as an introduction and education through a form of adaptation. To realize this agrotourism design, an introduction is needed for the Palangkaraya area where most of the soil texture here is of peat soil type, which means it requires a special strategy for development. To solve this problem, the method that can be used is the Ecological Architecture approach. Ecological Architecture is an architectural approach that promotes environmental preservation without changing its original form.To combine the two principles above, this Agrotourism design uses the Metaphor-Ecological concept where this concept is a form of metaphoric architecture and ecological architecture that synergizes into a concept with visual and functional aspects as it's embodiment.

Abstract

The design of a Recreative Public Library in Banjarbaru is motivated by the low interest in the reading culture of the community, especially in the millennial generation and the need for new places and facilities in the library that can accommodate various activities, especially in terms of sharing, discussing, relaxing, educating and recreational (Edutainment) and other activities aligned with the public library. Through the concept of Edutainment, the design of the Recreative Public Library can be a forum for developing and increasing interest in the reading culture of the community as well as being an additional facility for edutainment activities in accordance with the context of "the pleasure of reading" by using the symbiosis method and a recreational architectural approach which can highlight the function of the library as education but also as a place of recreation, besides that it can also reinterpret the user's view of library design in a more modern era.

Abstract

The existence of public open spaces that accommodates people's social activities in Paser Regency, especially in Batu Kajang, is very minimal. The lack of intensity of land for productive open spaces that is economically profitable for street vendors has an impact on the emergence of street vendors that sell along the side of the road in Batu Kajang. The impact of the existence of the street vendor caused the traffic jam. Therefore, to anticipate such conditions, open spaces area that can accommodate the selling activities of street vendors are needed. The method used is architectural programming which is a process of gathering information, analyzing, and making recommendations for the success of the design. In this case, the concept applied to the design area is placemaking which is a form of space through human interaction with buildings and building interactions with the environment.

Abstract

The lack of cultural tourism in Banjarbaru is concerned to reduce public interest in culture, which is likely to cause the loss of the culture itself. Therefore, the government of Banjarbaru is planning the construction of the Embung Lokudat Green Open Space (RTH), where one of the goals of the development of this open space is to become a tourist destination based on cultural education in South Kalimantan. In the Embung Lokudat green open space, it is necessary to have a supporting area to better reflect the culture of South Kalimantan, where South Kalimantan is identical to the Banjar Tribe, and the Banjar Tribe community has a life that is closely related to the river. The River Culture Gallery area is very suitable to be used as a supporting area for Embung Lokudat Green Open Space because the River Culture Gallery has the function of preserving the river, storing evidence of river culture, and introducing river culture to the public. The design method used is a Responsive Environment with the application of the Story Telling concept to create an interesting and educative River Culture Gallery Area..

Abstract

The background for the redesign of Terminal Type B km.6 in the city of Banjarmasin is thedevelopment plan and the current condition of the terminal. The current condition of the terminal hasproblems with facilities and circulation, where facilities at the terminal are difficult to identify, and arenot functioning properly. Circulation at the terminal often experiences crossing, this is due to unclearvehicle paths and leakage of human circulation in buildings. The purpose of redesign is to obtain anew design of the terminal, which meets the criteria, facilities and circulation with minimal crossings. The method used in this redesign is the behavioral architectural approach, which addresses theinteraction between humans and public spaces. The concept raised is interaction, where this conceptpays attention to spatial planning and circulation. The elaboration of the concept uses thesuperimpose method, which creates layers related to the concept on the layering which will becombined to create a new design. The result of this redesign is a terminal design that meets thecriteria as a type B terminal, and has regular circulation without crossing.

Abstract

During the period of cognitive development, some children not a few who experience some problems at the stage of their cognitive development, one of which is the presence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It was recorded in January 2018 that there were 500 cases of children with autism in South Kalimantan. In South Kalimantan itself, therapy centers for autistic children are still very few and the facilities they provide are still very limited. And there are still many parents who think therapy for autistic children doesn't make any changes to their children. Meanwhile, in therapy it takes a long time and consistently in therapy and the active cooperation of parents must be active at home. So it is felt that there is a need for an Autistic Children Therapy Center in South Kalimantan at this time. This is realized by the method of Psychological Architecture and the concept of applying the principles of Healing Environment to create an Autistic Child Therapy Center that can improve the behavior of autistic children for the better and provide education to parents.
