Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of labor contractors is an important requirement given the challenges faced by contractors and also competition among contractors increasingly competitive as it is today. The quality and capabilities of the workforce is affected by the level of education, training, motivation, work ethic, mental and physical capabilities of the workforce concerned. As well as the work undertaken irrigation projects in Kapuas, where the project is a priority in improving agricultural resources. During this time the quality of irrigation works that have been produced showing the quality that has not been in accordance with the desired quality standards.Issues to be addressed in this study is the extent to which the quality of labor in irrigation work in Kapuas terms of factors knowledge of the work, quality of work, productivity, adaptability and flexibility, initiative and problem solving, cooperation and collaboration, reliability and accountability as well as the ability communicate and interact. Interest expressed in this research is to determine which factors are having a category that did not meet expectations and fulfill expectations and how big the achievement of quality work foreman and the foreman.The research methodology used to analyze other factors (sequence factors) were analyzed using Zero-one method to determine the weight of each variable to be implemented into the work quality assessment score calculation foreman and the foreman. Work quality on average across the head mason of all factors having an average total score of 312.27 (61.93%) in the category of classified work quality meets expectations. As for each personal foreman 6 (six) people classified as the quality of work meets expectations (over 60%), the remaining two (2) people classified work quality needs improvement. Work quality on average throughout the foreman on all the factors having an average total score of 320.53 (63.92%) in the category of classified work quality meets expectations. 300 (>60%). ">As for personal foreman each four (4) people are all classified work quality meets expectations or with a total average score of> 300 (> 60%).

Abstract

The traditional alkali-catalyzed transesterification for the synthesis of biodiesel from the mixtures of soybean oil and waste cooking oil was carried out in a laboratory scale reactor. The effect of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) concentration as catalyst was investigated. The reaction temperature and stirring speed were maintained constant for 2 hours at 65oC and 600 rpm. For system equipped by agitation, and considered on rotational speed and length of rotor or in this case, magnetic bar, the G-force for this system was 10.06. The optimum condition was obtained at 0.75 wt% NaOH, mixing ratio of feedstock of 60%WCO-SO. The result showed increasing in the amount of NaOH gave a positive effect on a small percentage of waste cooking oil in mixture of feedstock, and negative effect on a greater percentage of waste cooking oil, it was due to that NaOH as alkali catalyst is very sensitive to qualities of feedstock, especially free fatty acid content of feedstock. Free fatty acid inhibited rate of transesterification reaction, and it caused side reaction; saponification reaction. It leads to complicated purification process and reduction of biodiesel as final product.

Abstract

In South Kalimantan precisely in regency of Hulu Sungai Selatan Amuntai, itis one of the dry fish manufacturing of regency in South Kalimantan. The process ofdrying fish is still doing by traditionally where the fish are drying by utilizing theenergy of the sun directy. The main problem that arise in unfavorable of dryingprocess is a decrease in quality such as a large distribution of water content, thedamage that caused by fungus or biochemical change that unwanted. If thedistribution of heat and air is uneven or uniform, the drying rate of the material willalso be uneven.The method of research was conducted by several stage, first prepare the testequipment, namely fish dryer that has been designed in such a way based on theresult of calculation and then put in the test location and the collector is directed tothe sun and for testing sample by using freshwater fish, sepat fish and haruan fishobtained from the result of local resident, as a measure of temperature in the dryingchamber is using a thermometer to know the temperature in the fish dryer.Based on the data of analysis and discussion, can be taken the conclusionabout fish dryer that is the distribution of the drying rate in the each rack havevariation according to the temperature of the each rack. The result of drying the sepatfish for 7 hours by using solar power dryer were able to reduce the weight of sepatfish from 500 g to 200 g and the wet weight of haruan fish from 500 g to 200 g. Thetotal efficiency of solar power dryer is 79.768%

Abstract

PDAM adalah instansi terkait dalam penyediaan air bersih. Sampai saat ini diestimasi telah banyak terjadi kebocoran dan kehilangan energi dalam jaringan distribusi PDAM, hal ini mengakibatkan kurang optimalnya sistem pelayanan. Sehingga perlu diadakan analisa kondisi jaringan eksisting dari PDAM. Studi kasus diambil adalah daerah Pelaihari.Tujuan studi ini adalah  untuk mengetahui nilai tekan dan flow pada jaringan berdasarkan demand dan dapat diidentifikasi distribusinya pada jaringan distribusi. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis aliran, tinjauan kehilangan energi utama dan kehilangan akibat sambungan pipa serta analisis jaringan. Hasil dari studi adalah terjadinya kontinuitas aliran terjadi dalam rentang waktu 24 jam pada pipa distribusi saat kondisi ideal. Sedangkan kondisi layanan belum layak pada saat kondisi puncak  karena adanya kehilangan energi.

Abstract

Penerapan program keselamatan kerja secara utuh dapat meminimalkan risikoterjadinya kecelakaan kerja. Namun, pada kenyataannya banyak hambatan yangsering dihadapi, baik dari pihak kontraktor maupun dari pihak pekerja. Jadi dapat dikatakan bahwa kontraktor masih belummemandang masalah keselamatan kerja sebagai prioritas utama dalam mencapaitujuan perusahaannya, yakni kecelakaan nihil (zero accident).Tujuan dari penelitian ini antara lain mengetahui alasan pentingnya perusahaan kontraktor menerapkan program keselamatan kerja, identifikasifaktor-faktorpenghambat, dan mengetahui seberapa besar implementasi program keselamatan kerja padapembangunan Depo Elpiji Banjarmasin. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis berdasarkan kuesioner yang diberikan kepada Direktur, kepala proyek, karyawan/pekerja yangbekerja pada proyek pembangunan Depo Elpiji Banjarmasinsebanyak 40 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alasan pentingnya perusahaan kontraktor konstruksi menerapkan programkeselamatan kerja adalah nama baik perusahaan, kemanusiaan terhadap tenaga kerja, Undang-Undang dan Peraturan,dan alasan ekonomi. Hambatan yang terjadi pada penerapan Program Keselamatan Kerja adalah kurangnya kedisiplinan, kurangnya tingkat pendidikan dan pengetahuan adanya batas waktu (deadline) proyek, kurangnya kesadaran, bahasa komunikasi antara atasan dan pekerja, dan kurang membudayanya tentang keselamatan kerja pada para pekerja. Adapun Program Keselamatan Kerja pada Pembangunan Delpo Elpiji Banjarmasinyang telah dilaksanakan adalah pemahaman filosofi keselamatan kerja (67%), penetapan misi keselamatan kerja (90%), penetapan pimpinan divisi keselamatan kerja (77%), membentuk komite keselamatan kerja (77%), pelaporan segera setelah terjadi kecelakaan kerja (73%), memberikan pelatihan keselamatan kerja (70%), analisa sumber bahaya (77%), fasilitas/alat keselamatan kerja (83%), dan rancangan rencana darurat untuk keadaan bahaya (70%). Program keselamatan kerja berpengaruh terhadap tingginya tingkat kecelakaankerja yang terjadi dalam suatu proyek.

Abstract

On the project Periodic Maintenance of Road Sungai Lakum Pasar Kamis is a project implemented using heavy equipment. By using heavy equipment, will facilitate and accelerate the course of the project. The tools used must be considered maintenance, because it is very influential on the production tools and costs incurred for the use of the tool. This study aims to analyze the use of heavy equipment in the periodic Maintenance Project of road Sungai Lakum Pasar Kamis by using theoretical analysis based on field data. Analyzing the calculation is the productivity and cost of the equipment on the scope of work that is the work of the land, widening work and road shoulder work, grinding pavement work, and asphalt work, using Excel program as a tool in data processing so that the achievement of the use of heavy equipment available in finish the job. Based on the calculation obtained the price of theoretical analysis unit based on field data for the work of preferred stockpiles from the source of Rp. 310.994.714,2; Class B aggregate base layer Rp. 76.127.086,04; Aggregate base layer with hill excavation Rp. 59.705.050,39; Class A base aggregate layer Rp. 204.703.029,9; Asphalt lining resap coat liquid Rp. 3.038.436,28; Lataston coating foundation Rp. 306.997.682,6. Where the calculation of unit price based on field data is smaller than the unit price of the bid data.

Abstract

Methods and technologies SMARTDEK an alternative building construction materials as an alternative to conventional methods to work the concrete floor plate which are now widely used in the construction industry.  SMARTDEK use in the construction of the concrete floor plate more practical story buildings without using bakesting when compared to conventional methods that require bakesting and buffer so that if implemented effectively will give efficient in the implementation of good work in terms of the time of execution and in terms of the cost of construction.The writing is trying to conduct studies how far the effectiveness and efficiency of technology implementation SMARTDEK materials used in a building construction gives descriptions of the benefits and application optimization obtained in terms of the aspect of cost and time. In the concrete floor plate work using SMARTDEK, is not necessary to adjust the cutting material SMARTDEK, SMARTDEK dimension to the existing floor plate size field. This is due to the size of SMARTDEK were booked at the factory are adapted to the size of the floor plate that will be done in the field. So after SMARTDEK attached and glue each other, can be directly mounted single reinforcement which then can be done casting. On the other hand consideration cheaper cost and time in the implementation of the concrete floor plate shorter into consideration in choosing the construction of the floor plate by using SMARTDEK.The use of methods and technologies SMARTDEK on a concrete floor plate when compared with the conventional method is more practical or effective and provide efficiency in terms of the aspect of the cost of construction works amounted to 13.89% cheaper, and in terms of aspects of 19.61% job execution time is shorter, thus obtained optimization in its application. Keywords: Methods, Technology, SMARTDEK, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Optimization.

Abstract

Sludge is mud that has particularly the potential use of a very large, PD PAL Banjarmasin manage sewage sludge simply by just piling them in one place. Sludge is a mud that can be processed into organic fertilizer because the sludge contains many microbial decomposer excellent for composting. This study uses sludge as main ingredients are mixed with other additives to be used as organic fertilizer.Composting method is to use the results of an open windrow composting will be tested maturation of the content of N, P, K, the value of C-Organic and C / N ratio and will be compared with SNI 19-7030-2004. The variations include 5 variations with 3 repetitions.Based on the composting time, the most precocious variation is variation of A (without activator) and Variation C (with the addition of Trichoderma sp.) Which for 19 days while the longest is the variation of D (with the addition dectro), while based on the temperature, variations can reaching the highest temperature is in the variation of C (with the addition of Trichoderma sp.) for the content of N, P, K, the value of C-Organic and C / N ratio of all variations still meet the requirements of SNI 19-7030-2004. Of N, P, K, organic-C test and ANOVA using SPSS DMRT test for values of N are the most significant and real different is the variation of B (with EM-4), for which the most significant element of P and E were significantly different in variation (Control), element K is the most significant and significant differences in the variation of B (with EM-4), the value of organic C of the most significant and significant differences in the variation of C (with Trichoderma sp.) and C / N ratio of the most significant and significant differences in the variation of A (without activator) is the best fertilizer variation in terms of the speed of composting and nutrient content is the variation of C with the addition of Trichoderma sp. Abstract

Development of extension of heaping container area of The Port Of Trisakti Banjarmasin ( Phase I) for the width of 50 x m 200 m started at year-end 2006, this meant as supporter medium for the increase of service to port user specially container. Of theoretical calculation and aktual in field happened difference of result because usage of data in taken away from theoretical calculation of data investigation of land; ground in the year 2000 while execution of work in the year 2007. During range of time (± 7 year) conducive by elementary land; ground experience of resulted from degradation land weight itself effect and land; ground of existence of influence of work of development of dock in container farm location (heavy equipment traffic and dock material heap). Result of analysis and perception of field as a whole express that natural land; ground of degradation of primary which isn't it however admiting of to experience of small degradation (sekunder degradation).

Abstract

Pengembangan produk menjadi hal yang penting untuk dikaryakan, dengan melakukan pengembangan produk akan selalu memiliki kemampuan bersaing dan mampu mengantisipasi perkembangan kebutuhan konsumen, dalam arti kata produk tersebut memiliki fungsi-fungsi yang berkembang pada konsumen. Produk baling-baling pada mulanya hanya dilihat sebagai fungsi penggerak saja, tetapi perkembangan konsumen menimbulkan kebutuhan lain, sehingga dikembangkan fungsi-fungsi lainnya. Pengembangan fungsi tersebut akan menimbulkan alternatif-alternatif produk, selanjutnya dengan penerapan Rekayasa Nilai (Value engineering) akan didapat alternatif yang mampu memenuhi fungsi-fungsi tersebut dan menghasilkan suatu nilai (score) yang dapat digunakan sebagai patokan untuk menenntukan alternatif.Rekayasa Nilai merupakan pendekatakan yang sistematis dan terorganisir. Studi ini dapat mengidentifikasikan biaya-biaya yang tidak diperlukan dalam suatu desain, mencoba menampilkan ide-ide baru yang berkaitan dengan produk yang sedang dikembangkan dan meningkat performansi produk tersebut dengan cara mencari material baru ataupun teknologi yang dapat digunakan.Hasil analisa ini merupakan suatu usulan pemilihan cetakan baling-baling kapal secara umum. Dengan melakukan implementasi studi ini, perlu dijabarkan lebih lanjut oleh para ahli (multi disipliner) dibidangnya. Hasil akhir perhitungan setelah dibandingkan dengan biayanya didapatkan 8 alternatif memiliki nilai (Value) yaitu sebesar 1.9665. nilai (Value) tersebut menunjukkan bahwa performasi yang dimiliki oleh alternatif desain tersebut. Dengan memiliki kemampuan daya saing yang lebih dari alternatif desain yang lain. Alternatif 8 adalah baling-baling dengan seri desain the N.P.L Standard B Screw Series dengan Spesifikasi desain antara lain Jumlah Daun (B) = 4 buah ; Diameter Baling-baling (D) = 8,4 Inch ; Ratio Poros Baling-Baling (dB) = 0,167. Ratio Gerak (Pm) = 0,8 Ratio Ketebalan (t) = 0,045 ; Ratio Area Dauan (aE) = 0,5 Sudut Sapuan (yR) = 12,0o bahan Baku Alumunium.
