Abstract

Myogenic low back pain is pain around of the lower back mucle caused by disorder or abnormalities in the elements of muscles and tendons without neurological disorders. Myogenic low back pain may result in pain, muscle spasm and muscle imbalance, so that the stability of abdominal muscles and low back decreased, lumbar mobility is limited, resulting in a decrease in functional activity. The exercise was usually given in a hospital Short Wave Diathermy combined with William's Flexion Exercise (WFE). The existence of a new method of core stability exercise (CSE) is very important for patients with myogenic low back pain. CSE was function to activate the harmonious movement between the four core muscle groups. The activation of these four core muscles will given stability on the lower back. The purpose of this study to determine core stability exercise is better than William's Flexion Exercise increases the functional activity in patients with myogenic low back pain. This study uses a quasi experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group design. The experiment was conducted in a clinic in Denpasar. Subjects were 28 patients who fulfill the criteria were established of the researchers. The increasing of functional activity was measured with the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) before and after training. Subjects were divided into two groups, they are the treatment group was given SWD and CSE three times a week and a control group given SWD and WFE three times a week. The results of statistical test was obtained, occur of decreasing in ODI scores in the first group with p = 0.001 and in the second group with p = 0.001. It means that the first group and the second group alike can increase the functional activity significantly. From the comparative test data by t-test using the difference data in the two groups was obtained the value p=0.001, which means significantly. The difference mean value ODI in first group as 28,86% although the difference ODI in the second group as 15,41%.  From the results of the research can be concluded that the core stability exercises is more increase the functional activity than William's Flexion Exercise in patients with myogenic low back pain. The study is expected to be beneficial in patients with myogenic low back pain to improving functional activity.

Abstract

Sindrom myofascial pada otot upper trapezius merupakan nyeri otot yang ditandai oleh satu atau beberapa myofascial trigger point pada otot upper trapezius. Posisi kerja statis dalam jangka waktu lama memicu timbulnya masalah tersebutdan mengakibatkan nyeri dan keterbatasan gerak pada leher sehingga akan menimbulkan disabilitas leher. Penanganan fisioterapi berupa integrated neuromuscular inhibition technique (INIT) dan contract relax stretching yang dikombinasikan dengan modalitas ultrasound berdampak pada penurunan disabilitas leher. Tujuan: mengetahui metode yang lebih efektif dalam menurunkan disabilitas leher pada sindrom myofascial otot upper trapezius.Metode: Jenis penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan randomizedpre test and post test group design. Sampel sebanyak 24 orang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok masing-masing 12 orang secara random. Kelompok perlakuan 1 dengan kombinasi INIT dengan ultrasound, sedangkan perlakuan 2 dengan contract relax stretching dengan ultrasound. Data diperoleh dengan mengukur disabilitas leher menggunakan Neck Disability Index(NDI), lingkup gerak sendi leher (LGS) dengan goniometerpada saat sebelum dan setelah perlakuan. Hasil:Diperoleh penurunan NDI22,50±2,43%(p<0,001) dan peningkatan LGS 5,083±1,0840 (p<0,001) pada Kelompok 1.Kelompok 2 juga terdapat penurunan NDI 17,33±3,05%(p<0,001) dan peningkatan LGS3,333±0,7780 (p<0,001). Hal ini berarti bahwa dalam setiap kelompok terjadi penurunan disabilitas leher secara bermakna. Hasil uji antar kelompok menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna pada penurunan NDI (p<0,001) dan peningkatan LGS (p<0,001). Simpulan: penambahan INIT lebih menurunkan disabilitas leher daripada contract relax stretching pada intervensi ultrasound dalam kasus sindrom myofascial otot upper trapeziusKata kunci : myofascial, trapezius, INIT, ultrasound, stretching, disabilitas leher

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the increase of speed of the 400 m running obtained from a training of interval running of 800 m distance programmed  in three types of models and to find out which one of the three training models gave the greatest improvement of speed. The three models of training were interval sprint of 8 x 100 meters, 4 x 200 meters, and 2 x 400 meters, carried out in 4 sets, 3 times a week, for a 6 week duration. This study was an experimental study using the Randomized Pre and Post Test Group Design. The study subjects comprised 24 students of SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar, who were divided into 3 groups of 8 students each. Group 1 was assigned to 8 x 100 m run, group 2 to 4 x 200 m run, and group 3 to 2 x 400 m run training, respectively. The data were analyzed accordingly with the test of T-Paired, One-way Anova, and LSD. The result of the T-Paired test on each group before anf after training showed a significant mprovement of the running speed (p<0.05). Therefore, indicating an improvement of 400 m running speed was achieved in each group. The One-Way Anova test showed a significant difference was found among the three groups in the increase of running speed obtained after training (p<0.05). The LSD test showed there was a significant difference of the increase of running speed between Group 1 and 2, and between Group 1 and 3 (p<0.05). There was no significant difference of speed found between Group 2 and 3 (p>0.05). Therefore, the training of interval 8 x 100 meters run was more effective in increasing the running speed as compared with interval 4 x 200 meters and 2 x 400 meters run, respectively, among the students of SMK 5 Denpasar.

Abstract

Background: One of the things that greatly affect the capability and performance of lower trunk and lower extremity is core stability. Core stability is the ability to control the position and movement of the trunk to pelvic used to produce, transfer and control the power and motion to with the final segment of the integrated activities. Method: The study was a randomized experimental design with pre- and post-test control group design. 34 students from SMU Olahraga Ragunan Jakarta students between 16-19 years old which is participating as sample on 6 weeks research on Mei-June 2016. The group was divided into two groups-first group doing tube resistance exercise and second group doing combination of tube resistance exercise and neurac training. Measurement instruments used were kicking the ball into the goal using the method of measurement by Finnoff. Measurements were taken before treatment and after treatment. Result: The mean accuracy of the first group before treatment 9.882 ± 2.11, after treatment 11.058 ± 1:51 after tested with paired samples t-test has increased significantly (p = 0.03). The mean accuracy kick second group before treatment 10,588±3,624, after treatment 12,470±3,184, after being tested with paired samples t-test experienced a significant improvement (p = 0.002). The mean difference in accuracy kick of first group (9.882 ± 2.11) compared with second group (11.058 ± 1:51) tested by Mann Whitney U test has no significant difference p = 0.495 (p?0.05). Abstract

VO2 max is very important in everyday life, so as to facilitate any physicalactivity, specially for athletes in order to achieve maximum performance. In aneffort to increase VO2 max training should be carried out regularly, measured andplanned. This study aims to determine the increase in VO2 max through circuittraining run and run continuously. The sample is taekwondoin son Manggarai-NTTwith an average age of 15 years. This study is an experimental study with the studydesign used was Randomized Pre and Post Test Group desigen. With a totalsample of 7 people in each group. Samples were randomly selected. Treatmentgroup 1 (KP1) given training run circuit 2 x 10 minute and Treatment Group 2(KP2) are given continuous training run 2 x 10 minute. Training carried out for 6weeks with a frequency of four times a week starting at 17:00 to 18:00 pm locatedat Frans Sales Lega Airport Manggarai-NTT. The analysis showed an increase inVO2 max was significantly (p <0.05) against both groups fled. In both groups thecircuit run by Pulse Oxymeter and Norma Cooper an increase in VO2 max with p<0.05, as well as a continuous run either by Pulse Oxymeter and Norma Cooperwith an increase in VO2 max value of p <0.05. The results of this analysis meansthat either the training or circuit training run run continuously to improve VO2max. Based on a comparison of test data by an independent test after training inboth groups either by Pulse Oxymeter and Norma Cooper in get p values > 0.05, orthere is no significant difference. Based on these results it can be concluded thatthe run circuit training and continuous training run together can increase VO2 maxand there was no significant difference. The results of this study are expected toincrease the knowledge of coaches, teachers and taekwondoin to perform trainingon a regular basis and are also expected to do similar research that examines VO2max with different training.

Abstract

Background: The agility is very important for a football player to achieve the desired achievement. It requires training that supports the agility of the biomotoric component. Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect and differentiation of the training of dribbling spheres to form stars with different doses of agility. Method: This study used pre-post group design, where the subjects of junior high school students on Mengwi Badung sub-district were 48 people divided into two groups then given different treatment. Group 1 was given a training on dribbling a star ball with a length of 25 meters as many as 10 reps 2 sets. Group 2 was given training on the same track as many as 5 reps 4 sets. Each group is trained 3 times per week for six weeks. The data obtained were analyzed using t-test formula at 5% significance level. Result: The value of t arithmetic in Groups 1 and Group 2 is greater than t table (respectively 11,679> 2,069 and 8,533> 2,069). The t value of the difference between Group 1 and Group 2 is smaller than t table (1.557 <2.013). Conclusion: It was concluded that there is an effect of the training of dribbling the ball on both groups against agility but no difference in effect Training dribble ball 10 reps 2 sets and 5 reps 4 sets against agility. Suggestion: It is advisable to provide varying training on both types of training to reduce the saturation in exercise.

Abstract

Performance (penampilan) prima dalam berolahraga tidak hanya didukung olehpenguasaan ketrampilan teknis dan kesiapan fisik maupun mental, akan tetapi kesesuaian sportclothing juga merupakan faktor yang sangat penting peranannya. Kajian pustaka ini disusundengan tujuan untuk memberi tambahan pemahaman tentang aspek fisiologi kenyamanan tubuhdan performance saat berolahraga yang dipengaruhi oleh sport clothing dan desain sport clothingyang ergonomis. Saat ini, penelitian-penelitian tentang sport clothing yang dihubungkan denganperformance menjadi topik yang diminati. Melihat dukungan dari pesatnya teknologi chlotingmaterial oleh indudtri-industri tekstil terkemuka. Aspek ergonomics dari sport clothingmempertimbangkan kesesuaian pakaian terhadap antropometri pemakai, jenis aktivitas olahragayang dilakukan dan kondisi iklim. Selain itu juga mempertimbangkan jenis material dankualitasnya yang disesuaikan dengan pertimbangan ekonomi dan socio-cultural. Desain sportclothing, selain meminimalisir semaksimal mungkin hambatan kecepatan gerak tubuh hendaknyajuga menghindari pemakainya dari tekanan panas maupun kehilangan panas tubuh yangberlebihan, serta mampu melindungi tubuh dari kemungkinan cedera oleh faktor fisik maupunkimiawi. Penelitian-penelitian lebih lanjut masih sangat dibutuhkan agar isu-isu ergonomics ofsport slothing dapat semakin dipahami dan diaplikasikan oleh para praktisi keolahragaan diIndonesia.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Volleyball is a popular sport that is competitive. In volleyball, the volleyball player must play the volleyball over the net. The physical factor that supports that ability is explosion power of legs muscles. One of the ways to increase the explosion power of legs muscles is plyometric exercise. The exercises that were given in this research were plyometric depth jump and standing jump exercises to increase the explosion power of legs muscles. Purpose: The objective of this exercise is to compare the effect of both exercises for increasing the explosion power of legs muscles. Method: This research used experimental method Pre Test and Post Test Group Design in six weeks and frequency of three times a week. The samples are 22 people who are divided into two groups through ordinal pairing technique. The first group was given plyometric depth jump exercise and the second group was given standing jump exercise. The measurement of the explosion power of legs muscles used jump MD that was measured before and after exercises in every groups. Next, the average result was compared with statistical test of t- paired test. Result: The average of the explosion power of legs muscles pre test of the first group was 39.73 ± 3.74 centimeters and the post test was 55.64 ± 4.03 centimeters are statistically significant (p<0.05). Otherwise, on the second group, the pre test was 39.73 ± 3.58 centimeters and the post test was 51.36 ± 3.85 centimeters are statistically significant (p<0.05). The increasing of the explosion power of legs muscles between both groups are significant (p<0.05). The percentage of increasing of plyometric depth jump was 40.05% and for the standing jump was 29.27%. Conclusion: Plyometric depth jump increased the explosion power of legs muscles is bigger than standing jump exercise for all students on the men’s volleyball extracurricular of SMK Triatma Jaya Badung.Keywords : Plyometric depth jump and standing jump exercises, the explosion power of legs muscles, volleyball.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Aktivitas motorik anak cerebral palsybiasanya mengalami keterlambatan activity daily livingyang dipengaruhi olehhead control, karena kepala berfungsi dalam melawan gravitasi dan sebagai inisiasi gerakan awal saat berjalan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan hipotesis bahwa penambahan neck support pada head control exercise lebih baik dalam peningkatan kemampuan fungsional berjalan anak CP spastic diplegic. Materi & Metode: Penelitian merupakan studi eksperimental dengan rancangan pre test and post test control group design. Jumlah responden sebanyak 14 sampel yang dibagi menjadi 2 grup secara random, pada kelompok kontrol mendapat head control exercise, pada kelompok perlakuan mendapatneck support dan head control exercise. Fungsional berjalan yang di teliti dengan diukur dengan GMFM, perlakuan diberikan selama 8 minggu. Hasil Penelitian: Dari hasil penelitian terdapat peningkatan fungsional berjalan yang signifikan pada anak Kelompok kontrol yang mendapatkan intervensi head control exercise dengan nilai pre (17,31 ± 5,06) dan nilai post (18,30 ± 3,16) didapat nilai p=0,011. Terdapat peningkatan fungsional berjalan yang signifikan pada kelompok perlakuan yang mendapat intervensi neck supportdan head control exercise dengan nilai pre (15,53 ± 4,23) dan nilai post (24,59 ± 4,98) dengan didapat nilai p=0,001. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada peningkatan fungsional berjalan pada Kelompok kontrol yang mendapatkan head control exercise dan pada Kelompok perlakuan yang mendapat neck support dan head control exercise dengan nilai Kelompok kontrol ( 18,30 ± 4,96 ) dan nilai pada Kelompok perlakuan (24,59 ± 4,98) dan didapat nilai p=0,036. Simpulan: Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan neck support pada head control exercise lebih baik dibandingkan hanya head control exercise dalam meningkatkan fungsional berjalan anak CPspastic diplegic.

Abstract

Impaired lung function is a disease caused by various reasons, such as viruses,bacteria, dustan do ther particles. It is exposure by dust tea every day of lab or sortingresult in decrease of lung function. This study aims to determine the role of breathingexercise in improving forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) and vital capacity(VC). The research designs is experiment trueby the one grouppre-testandpost-testdesign, where taking sample from the population by random that ful fill the inclusionand exclusion criteria. There are 10 groups of people and getting treatment BreathingExercise. Frequency of exercise 3 times a week for 6 weeks. The subjects were all lab orssorting who had impaired lung that has been diagnosed by the measured procedurewith lung physiology measure ments were performed using aspirometer in the teafactory of PT. Candi Loka Jamus Ngawi. The significance analysis of Pairedt-test(paired) showed that giving breathing exercise increase the vital capasity (VC) andforced expiratory volume (FEV1) was significantly different (p <0.05). While differentteston VC and FEV1 after treatment with the Independentt-test (unpaired) show that thevalue of p =0.749. The results means that there isno an increase between the value offorced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) and Vital Capacity (VC) after treatment.Thus it can be concluded, the giving of breathing exercises is as better as to increase thevalue offorced expiratory volumein 1 second (FEV1) and Vital Capacity (VC).
