Abstract

Motor development in humans will continue to evolve from the womb to adult hood. Daily activities undertaken will increasingly severe and complex in each phase of development. The balance is a major componentin maintaining the posture of the human body to be able to straight and maintain body position. Musculoskeletal system plays an important role in maintaining the balance of the human body. Physical activity can lead to lack optimal anstatic equilibrium. The study wasaimed at Training Combination of Core Stability Exercise and Ankle Strategy Exercisedid not Increas of Core Stability Exercise For Static Balance on Students S1 Physiotherapy Stikes'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta.This study is an experimental study with Randomized Pre and Post Test Control Group Design. Samples in this study were 16 students Stikes'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta which will face semester4 of physical fitness lab and research time for 6 weeks. Divided in to two groups, group-1(core stability exercise) and group-2 (combination of corestability exercises and ankle strategy). Measurement instrument used is functional reach test are measured before treatment(0-session) and after treatment (18-session) on each subject. The result savailable in this study descriptive data samplein both groups; age20-22years, male gender and female, height 149-170 cm and weigh37-78kg. The results test stated static balance data group-1 p = 0,000 and group-2 p =0,025. Data before and after treatment 1 group-normal distribution. Then the data before and after the treatment group-2 normal distribution. Based on the compatibility test both variables in both groups, the test of hypothesis using data afte rtreatment. Variable static balance in the two groups using hypothesis independent sampel t-test p value=0,626. The conclusions available p values??>0,05. This value explained Training Combination of Core Stability Exercise and Ankle Strategy Exercise did not Increas Static Balance Of Core Stability Exercise On Students S1 Physiotherapy Stikes'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Keseimbangan dinamis merupakan sistem gerak yang berfungsi mengontrol dan mempertahankan posisi tubuh yang melibatkan sistem neuromuskular, muskuloskeletal dan kognitif dengan perubahan dari center of gravity. Keseimbangan merupakan komponen penting dalam aktivitas motorik dan kontrol postural. Hal ini dapat terganggu karena kondisi flexible flatfoot. Flexible Flatfoot adalah bentuk telapak kaki datar yang disebabkan oleh hilangnya arkus longitudinal medial saat berdiri dan akan muncul saat telapak kaki tidak menyentuh tanah yang akan menyebabkan keseimbangan dinamisnya terganggu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan perbedaan efektivitas kombinasi foot muscle strengthening dan kinesiotaping dengan foot muscle strengthening terhadap peningkatan keseimbangan dinamis pada anak dengan flexible flatfoot.Metode: Penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan rancangan pre and post test control group design. Subyek penelitian ini berjumlah 26 orang, yang terbagi menjadi 2 kelompok, dimana Kelompok Perlakuan (n=13) diberikan intervensi foot muscle strengthening dan kinesiotaping sedangkan Kelompok Kontrol (n=13) diberikan intervensi foot muscle strengthening. Diberikan perlakuan 3x seminggu selama 6 minggu. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan random sampling. Keseimbangan dinamis diukur dengan balance beam walking test dan flexible flatfoot diukur dengan wet foot print test. Hasil: pada Kelompok Perlakuan diperoleh beda rerata keseimbangan dinamis sebelum intervensi sebesar 1,77±0,927 dan sesudah intervensi sebesar 3,54±0,877 dengan nilai p=0,001. Sedangkan hasil penelitian Kelompok Kontrol diperoleh beda rerata keseimbangan dinamis sebelum intervensi sebesar 1,46±0,776 dan sesudah intervensi sebesar 2,62±0,870 dengan nilai p=0,001. Uji beda sesudah intervensi pada Kelompok Perlakuan dan Kelompok Kontrol dengan menggunakan independent samples t-test didapatkan p=0,013 (p<0,05).Simpulan: kombinasi foot muscle strengthening dan kinesiotaping lebih baik dibandingkan dengan foot muscle strengthening terhadap peningkatan keseimbangan dinamis pada flexible flatfoot. Saran: baik intervensi foot muscle strengthening dan kinesiotaping dapat digunakan sebagai intervensi fisioterapi dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis pada anak dengan flexible flatfoot.Kata Kunci: Flexible Flatfoot, Keseimbangan Dinamis, Foot Muscle Strengthening, Kinesiotaping, Balance Beam Walking Test, Wet Foot Print Test.

Abstract

Long jump ability is part of athletic event, which was based on power ability. Meanwhile power was influenced by the type of training. Among some training types there are plyometric broad jump training and plyometric box jump training.The purpose of this research is to find out which one is more effective to increase the long jump ability between plyometric broad jump training and plyometric box jump training. Pretest – Posttest two group designs was used in this study. Samples of the study were taken from male students of Primary Secondary School or Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) PGRI 2 Denpasar. Students were randomly divided into two groups (group 1 and group 2) each consist of 12 subjects proportionally. Group 1 was trained plyometric box jump and group 2 was trained plyometric broad jump respectively. The durationof training was 6 weeks and the frequency was three time a week. The test of long jump was carried out before and after 6 weeks training. These pre and post result of distance of long jump were compared each other. The result and statistical t-test analysis are as follows. Mean distance of long jump before training of group 1(344.25 cm) and group 2 (355.75 cm) was not significantly difference (p > 0.05). Meanwhile result after training of group 1 (mean 374.75 cm, increasing jump 30.50 cm) and group 2 (mean 397.33 cm, increasing jump 41.58 cm), were also significantly difference (p < 0.05). This study conclude that plyometric broad jump training more increasing the ability to long jump than plyometric box jump training among male students SMP PGRI 2 Denpasar. The value of mean difference was 11.08 cm. It is recommended to coaches and sport teachers can choose this broad jump training method to increase the ability of long jump of primary high school students.

Abstract

The teaching of basic movements in badminton are now rather directed to the way of walk orfootwork. This research is aiming to learn about the influence of “footwork” training to theimprovement of leg muscles and agility. This experimental research is designed to use therandomized pretest posttest control group design. The research is based on 42 malebadminton students bimpres of the university “UNDIKSHA”, split into 2 groups. Bothgroups were given different training methods, exercising 3 times a week for 6 weeks altogether. Group 1 was given the “footwork” exercise 10 repetitions 2 sets and group twowas given the “footwork” exercise 5 repetitions 4 sets. The leg muscle strength was measuredwith a leg dynamometer and the agility with the zigzag run test. The result of the intergroupt-paired test before and after the training shows group 1 and group 2 (p<0.05). For group 1,the leg muscle strength (kg) and agility (second) was in the average 114.19±33.13 &7.78±0.34 and after the training 183.19±33.56 & 7.28±0.28 with a difference of 69 & 0.50and with an increase 60% and 7%. On the other hand, for group 2 the leg muscle strengthand agility before the training was in the average 113.05±31.30 & 7.74±0.38 and after thetraining 141.10±34.91 & 7.59±0.31 with a difference 28.05 & 0.15 and with an increase of25% and 2%. The increase of the leg muscle strength and agility between both the groupsbefore and after the training was tested with the t-independent test with a significant score of? =0.05. The average leg muscle strength and agility for both the groups before the trainingwas p = 0.90 & 0.78 (p>0.05) and after the training p = 0.00 & 0.00 (p<0.05). The conclusionis training badminton footwork 10 repetition 2 sets better than 5 repetition 4 sets for theimprovement of leg muscle strength and agility.

Abstract

ABSTRACTPhysical fitness is a key requirement for a skipper in the river, with the ability of cardiac endurance (cardiorespiration) as a basis for the endurance of muscle work for a long time. One exercise that can improve cardiorespiratory endurance is high impact aerobic exercise. The experimental method was applied through high impact aerobic exercise exercise with One Group Pretest-posttest Design and performed at My Adventure Rafting with a sample size of 21 people for 3 times a week in 4 weeks of research. Based on paired t test, it is found that aerobic high impact gymnastics have an effect on the improvement of cardiorespiratory endurance. Where the probability value (p) is significant is 0,000 which means 0.000 <0.05 then there is a significant difference.Keywords: Skipper, Cardiorespiratory Endurance, Aerobic High Impact Gymnastic

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Pelvic cross syndrome merupakan suatu gangguan keterbatasan musculoskeletal kompleks di mana terjadi imbalance dengan pola yang spesifik antara muscles tightness (illiopsoas dan spinal ekstensor) serta muscles weakness (abdominal dan gluteus) dengan pola menyilang (Cross pattern) antara sisi pelvic bagian anterior dan posterior dari tubuh manusia. Adanya koreksi dan assessment dini dari malalignment yang terjadi merupakan upaya preventif perubahan postur pelvic akibat imbalance muscles di mana secara biomekanika akan memberikan kompensasi pembebanan pada otot- otot di sekitar. Tujuan Untuk mengetahui hubungan pelvic cross syndrome dengan pada mahasiswa program studi Fisioterapi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Udayana. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi prevalensi dengan menggunakan rancangan cross sectional survey. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa laki- laki dan perempuan Program Studi Fisioterapi dan Profesi Fisioterapi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Udayana sebanyak 200 orang dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel secara consecutive sampling. Adapun pengukuran dari postur pelvic diukur dengan mengukur kekuatan dari abdominal muscle dan gluteal muscle dengan Manual Muscle Technique dan pengukuran dari tightness dari hip flexor dengan Thomas Test dan pengukuran fungsional pinggang dengan kuesioner ODI (Oswestry Disability Index). Hasil: SPSS versi 23 telah digunakan untuk melakukan analisis data di mana didapatkan hasil 21% dari total populasi memiliki pelvic cross syndrome pernah memiliki keluhan Low Back Pain. Didapatkan juga hasil pengukuran pelvic cross syndrome dengan sample berjenis kelamin perempuan adalah 83 orang dari total 120 sample (69,16%) lebih banyak mengalami pelvic cross syndrome dibandingkan laki-laki yaitu 14 orang dari 80 sample (18,75%). Simpulan: Prevalensi kejadian pelvic cross syndrome pada subjek perempuan lebih tinggi dibandingkan laki-laki pada kelompok usia yang sama (18- 22 tahun). Saran: Untuk peneliti selanjutnya dapat dilakukan follow up research untuk melihat hasil jangka panjang efek dari Pelvic Cross Syndrome pada mahasiswa laki- laki dan perempuan Program Studi Fisioterapi dan Profesi Fisioterapi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Udayana

Abstract

Memasuki usia lansia muncul permasalahan yang disebabkan penurunankemampuan serta kebugaran fisik. Degenerasi struktural pada sistemneuromuskuloskeletal dan sistem indera menyebabkan menurunnya keseimbangan statisdan dinamis. Keseimbangan statis merupakan komponen penting dalam menjaga posisitubuh agar postur tetap tegak serta sebagai awalan dalam memulai gerakan. Kurangnyaaktivitas fisik pada lansia menyebabkan penurunan keseimbangan statis. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan antara kombinasi bergantian senam lansiadan latihan core stability dengan hanya senam lansia terhadap keseimbangan statislansia. Penelitian eksperimental dilakukan dengan pre and post test with control groupdesign selama 8 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali perminggu. Total sampel sebanyak 26orang yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok. Kelompok kontrol diberi program latihan hanyasenam lansia sedangkan kelompok perlakukan diberi program kombinasi bergantiansenam lansia dan latihan core stability. Pengukuran keseimbangan statis menggunakanfunctional reach test yang diukur sebelum dan sesudah program latihan pada masingmasingsubjek. Hasil penelitian pada kedua kelompok didapatkan data usia subjek 61-72 tahun, jenis kelamin pria dan wanita, berat badan 48-67 kg, dan tinggi badan 151-167 cm. Hasil uji masing-masing pengaruh didapatkan data keseimbangan statiskelompok kontrol p<0,05 dan kelompok perlakuan p<0,05. Berdasarkan ujikomparabilitas data setelah program latihan antara kedua kelompok menggunakanindependent t-test didapatkan nilai p>0,05. Simpulan yang didapatkan adalah programlatihan hanya senam lansia dan kombinasi bergantian senam lansia dengan latihan corestability sama-sama dapat meningkatkan keseimbangan statis lansia. Tidak adaperbedaan signifikan antara program latihan kombinasi bergantian senam lansia danlatihan core stability dengan hanya senam lansia terhadap peningkatan keseimbanganstatis lansia.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe basic techniques of volleyball used to use muscular group in our body, especially the leg’s muscles that is facilitating the springboard movement. Explosive power is the ability of muscles to exert maximum force in a very quick time. Leg muscle explosive power is one of the essential components required in the sport of volleyball particular in the motion of smash, passing and blocking hat needs to be improved by training plyometrics. The training that were conducted during this research are the plyometric depth jump and plyometric box jump training using the principle of progressive load with 3 times frequencies a week within 6 weeks. The aim of this study is to compare the explosive power of training leg muscle. This study use a randomized experimental design with pre test and post test group design for six weeks with 3 times frequencies a week. The sample’s numbers is 32 participants that was divided into two groups. The first group was given training in plyometrics depth jump and the second group was given training plyometrics box jump. The explosive power of leg muscle is measured by using a jump DF which measured before and after training for each groups. The result of this research is shown before training in group I is 42.25 ± 3.92 cm and 51.81 ± 4.41cm after training (p <0.05). While, in group II the mean shows 40.25 ± 5.14 cm before training and 45.25 ± 5.07 cm after training (p <0.05). Training in group I can increase explosive power leg muscle than group II (p <0.05). Based on the result, it is concluded that the plyometric depth jump training is more better than the plyometric box jump training in increasing explosive power leg muscle for the students of volley ball extracurricular at SMK Negeri 1 Petang.Keywords: plyometrics depth jump training and box jump, explosive power leg muscle, sports volleyball.

Abstract

Sedentary Lifestyle has negative impact on health that would lead to overweight or obesity, where it will also lead to impaired balance and risk of falling even cause bodily injury, to improve the physical activity it should be improved, and also to improve the balance there are some exercises such as core stability and balance board. The purpose of this study was to analyze whether core stability exercises and balance board exercise in improving balance better than the balance board exercise on students aged 18-24 years with less physical activity. This research design using experimental research methods pre and post study design. Where the samples were obtained 28 in total obtained from the results of systematic random sampling. In the first group conducted joint exercises core stability and balance board (n = 14). The second group was only exercise balance board. Characteristics of the study subjects obtained a mean value of physical activity in the group of core stability exercises and balance board (314.68) Mets-minute/week, and the mean value of the balance before in group 1 (14.00 s) in the group balance board (286.4) Mets-minute/week. and the mean value of the balance before (11.56 s). data obtained from the above then tested using the Shapiro Wilk normality is found that the core stability and balance board p <0.05, the data are not normally distributed, the balance board group obtained a p value> 0.05 then the data were normally distributed. Different test groups before and after the core stability and balance board using the Wilcoxon signed rank test p value = 0.001 is obtained. p<0.05. Different test groups before and after the balance board by using paired sample test found p value = 0.0002 p<0.05 then get a meaningful result there are significant differences. Conclusions in this study showed that the treatment group core stability and balance board compared with the only balance board can increase the value of the balance standing stork test students with less physical activity.

Abstract

Among skateboarders frequently faced with recurrent injury especially on ankle region. They seldom take attention to their injury and if the condition left untreated, it will turn into chronic ankle instability. This condition will disturb dynamic balance while playing skateboard. The purpose of this research is to find if dumbbell lunges intervention and core stability exercise are more effective than elastic band and core stability exercise for the improvement of dynamic balance. This experimental research using pre and post test two group design. Sample was taken with simple random sampling. Total of 24 samples were divided into 2 groups, each group contain 12 samples. Group I had dumbbell lunges intervention and core stability exercise while Group II had elastic band intervention and core stability exercise. The exercise was done 3 times per week for 6 weeks. Data was taken with measurement dynamic balance using modified bass test of dynamic balance before and after exercise to each group. The mean difference test increasement of dynamic balance with paired sample t-test results p value 0.001 (p<0.05) within treatment Group I and p value 0.001 (p<0.05) within treatment Group II. which mean there is significantly difference of increasing value dynamic balance before and after intervention within both group. Difference test before intervention in treatment Group I and Group II with independent t-test result p value 0.818 (p>0.05) in which there is no significant difference between groups before intervention. and difference test after intervention in treatment Group I and Group II with independent t-test shows significant difference with p value 0.001 (p<0.05). This study shows that dumbbell lunges intervention and core stability exercise result in better improvement of dynamic balance than elastic band intervention and core stability exercise among skateboarders.
