Abstract

This study entitled "The Ability of Middle School Students in Banda Aceh in Answering the Problems of Higher Order Thingking Skills (HOTS) on Indonesian Language Learning". The problem this study is how the ability of junior high school students throughout Banda Aceh in answering the questions Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in learning Indonesian. The purpose of this study is that researchers can determine the ability of junior high school students throughout the city of Banda Aceh in answering questions on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in learning Indonesian. Population of this study was the eighth grade students the three junior high schools in Banda Aceh, namely the State Middle School 1 Banda Aceh, the State Middle School 2 Banda Aceh, and the State Middle School 18 Banda Aceh academic year 2018-2019. Students from the three junior high schools numbered 598 people and sample of this study was 66 students. The method used in this research quantitative descriptive method. This research data was collected through test techniques. Analyzing data using simple statistical techniques that are quantitative. The results showed that the ability students to answer the questions Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) was 42 and included in the less category. The average score obtained by students, namely (a) Junior high school 1 Banda Aceh received a score of 52 included in the less category (b) Junior high school 2 Banda Aceh received a score of 54 and was included in the category of less, (c) Junior high school 18 Banda Aceh received a score 30 and included in the Less category. The conclusions of this study indicate that junior high school students throughout the city of Banda Aceh have not been able to answer the questions Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in learning Indonesian

Abstract

This study aims to describe the figurative language contained in the Anthology of Master's Poetry from America to Heavenly Notes using a qualitative approach. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. Technique data were carried out using coding techniques. The data were analyzed through the empathy stages, namely, classification, classification, analysis, and description. The results of this study indicate that the figurative language contained in the poetry collection from America to Notes Langit, curator Dendy Sugono, has 8 types of figurative languages, namely metaphor, simile, personification, hyperbole, irony, metonymy, sarcasm and rhetoric. There are three types of figurative language that are the most dominant, 10 poems of simile figurative language, 9 poems of personified figurative language, and 8 poems of metaphorical figurative language, while the least figurative language is metonymy and sarcasm, 1 poetry each. The use of figurative language in the Anthology of Mastera Poetry from America to Heaven's Notes Curator Dendy Sugono serves as an explanation of every meaning and bait of poetry created by the poet.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of Language Politeness in the Text of the Speech of the Governor of Aceh and Acting of the Governor of Aceh in 2018-2019". The formulation of the problem is (a) what is the politeness of the language in the speech text of the Governor of Aceh and plt. Governor of Aceh in 2018-2019, (b) what maxims appear in the speech text of the Governor of Aceh and plt. The Governor of Aceh in 2018-2019, and (c) what kind of maxims were used most dominantly by the Governor of Aceh and plt. Governor of Aceh. The purpose of this research is to describe (a) the politeness of language in the speech text of the Governor of Aceh and plt. Governor of Aceh, (b) what maxims appear in the text of the speech of the Governor of Aceh and plt. The Governor of Aceh, and (c) what maxims appear most in the text of the speeches of the Governor of Aceh and plt. Governor of Aceh. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data of this study were sourced from utterances contained in the speech text of the Governor of Aceh and plt. Governor of Aceh 2018-2019. The data collection technique was carried out using document review techniques. The data were analyzed through four stages, namely; (a) identification, (b) classification, (c) analysis, and (d) description. The result of this study can be stated as follows. First, the language contained in the text of the speech of the Governor of Aceh and plt. The governor of Aceh is a polite language. Second, the maxims contained in the text of the Governor of Aceh and plt. The Governor of Aceh, namely the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of humility, the maxim of approval, the maxim of acceptance, and the maxim of sympathy. Third, the maxim of wisdom is the maxim that appears most frequently in the speech texts of the Governor of Aceh and plt. Governor of Aceh.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the forms of code mixing in Gayonese speech by Gayonese students in Banda Aceh. The data source of this study was the Gayonese students. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The data source of this research is native speakers of the Gayonese language who live in the Banda Aceh region. The data collection technique used was a technique, speaking freely and speaking on the basis of listening and tapping then followed by recording and taking notes. The results of this study indicate that the mixed code forms used by Gayonese students are word form, phrase form, baster form, word repetition form, idiom or expression form, and clause form. Thus, it can be concluded that all forms of code mixing are found in the speech of Gayonese students

Abstract

The study was titled “Mixed Code in The Film Eumpang Breuh By Imran Nyak Abeudo”. The formulation of this research problem is how the mixed form of code contatained in the film Eumpang Breuh. The purpose of this study describes the mixed forms of code in the film Eumpang Breuh. The benefits of this research can theoretically be used as a science and insight for any party who wants to develop linguistics, especially the sociolinguistic field with regard to mixing codes. Practically this research is useful for the author as well as the reader, the benefits for the author with the existence of this research will deepen the science and understanding of the mix of codes. The benefits for readers can be additional information fot both the public and subsequent researchers about the knowledge of mixed codes. The mothod usedsin thishstudy ishqualitative descripticehmethod. Theudata collection techniqueshused inuthis studyhare listening andirecordingotechniques. Theoresearch data is derived from the words spoken by the characters in the film Eumpang Breuh. Theoresults ofothis studyphave six formspof mixedpcode. First, thepinsertion ofyelements in the form of words with classes of nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Second, thepinsertion ofyelements inkthe formuof pharasespwith verba phrase types, nominal phrases, presupositional phrases, and adjective phrases. Third, the insertion of baster-tangible elements. Fourth, theoinsertion ofuelements inhthe formlof duplication. Fifth, theoinsertion oflelements ingthe formaof idioms. Sixth, theainsertion ofnelements injthe formuof clauses. Based onothehresults of the analysis, obtained 57 mixedncodes, including 34 mixedpcode inithe formhoflwords, 9 mixed inothe formbof phrases, 8 mixedgcode inkthe formfof baster, 3 mixedicode inhthe formbof duplication, 1 mixedkcode infthe formdof expressionsgor idioms, ando2 mixedhcodes infthe formhof clauses.

Abstract

This research is entitled "The Ability of Indonesian Language Education Students FKIP Universitas Syiah Kuala to Understand Vocabulary and Terms Related to the Corona Virus Outbreak in 2019". The purpose of this study was to find out how the level of ability of Indonesian Language Education students at FKIP Universitas Syiah Kuala to understand vocabulary and terms related to the outbreak of the Coronavirus in 2019. The research approach used in this study was a descriptive quantitative approach.  The population in this study were students of Indonesian Language Education FKIP Universitas Syiah Kuala class 2016 to 2020 with a total of 418 students, and the sample in this study amounted to 41 students taken 10% of the total population.  The data collection technique in this study is a test technique. The results showed that the students' ability of Indonesian Language Education FKIP Universitas Syiah Kuala to understand vocabulary and terms related to the outbreak of the Coronavirus in 2019 scored 65. The highest score achieved by students was 92,4 and the lowest score achieved by students was 23,1. Then the results of the percentage of students who were in the very good category were 1 person or about 2,43%, then students who were included in the good category amounted to 16 people or around 39,02%, then 18 people who were in the moderate category or around 43, 90%, for students who were in the poor category were 3 people or about 7,31%, and students who were included in the very poor category were 3 people or about 7,31%. Based on the results of the research, the ability of Indonesian Language Education students at FKIP Universitas Syiah Kuala to understand vocabulary and terms related to the outbreak of the Coronavirus in 2019 is included in the sufficient category with an average score of 65 which is in the 56-70 value range.

Abstract

This study entitiled “Analysis of Forms of Violence in Children in Arafat Nur's Novel Bayang Suram Pelangi". The problem in this researchd is how the forms of violence against children in the novel Bayang Suram Pelangi by Arafat Nur. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of violence against children in Arafat Nur's novel Bayang Suram Pelangi. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data source of this research is the novel by Arafat Nur, namely Bayang Suram Pelangi (2018). Data collection was carried out using documentation techniques. Data analysis was done qualitatively by reading the novel repeatedly, then describing or explaining the forms of violence contained in the novel comprehensively. The resultsd showed that there were four forms of violence, namely physical violence which was carried out by hitting and kicking, psychological violence which caused fear, worry, helplessness, and insecurity, verbal violence which was carried out using harsh words, insults, and threats, social violence perpetrated by exclusion. Of the four forms of violence, the most dominant thing experienced by child characters is psychological violence.

Abstract

This research is entitled about “Analysis of the Use of Rhyme in the Culture of the Gayo Lues Community” the problem in this study is how te use of rhyme in the culture of the Gayo Lues community?. The purpose of this study was to describe the use of rhyme in the culture of the Gayo Lues community. The source of the data from this study is the Gayo Lues native community in the form of oral data obtained from informants namely pantun Gayo related to the culture of Gayo Lues. Data collection techniques in this study used interview techniques, records, notes, and dokumentation. While the data anlysis tecniqueis done by data colection, data classification, and data presentation. After the data analysis was carried out, it was found that the final end of the study, namely the culture of the Gayo Lues community in Blangkejeren District, Gayo Lues District, which uese rhyme there are seven cultures, namely (1) saman dance, (2) dance bines, (3) didong jalu (didong fight), (4) young man, (5) marriage, (6) speech/lecture, and (7) advise children

Abstract

Penelitian ini bejudul “Analisis Nilai Heroik dalam Novel Lolong Anjing di Bulan Karya Arafat Nur”. Nilai heroik atau kepahlawanan merupakan hal yang harus diteladani. Masalah penelitian ini bagaimanakah nilai heroik yang terdapat dalam novel Lolong Anjing di Bulan karya Arafat Nur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai heroik dalam novel Lolong Anjing di Bulan Karya Arafat Nur. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Lolong Anjing di Bulan Karya Arafat Nur yang telah diterbitkan pada tahun 2018. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, ditemukan 55 data yang menunjukkan nilai heroik dalam novel Lolong Anjing di Bulan karya Arafat Nur yang meliputi (1) nilai keberanian 17 data, (2) nilai optimis 4 data, (3) nilai pantang menyerah 15 data, (4) nilai rela berkorban 7 data, dan (5) nilai persatuan 12 data. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa novel Lolong Anjing di Bulan yang ditulis oleh Arafat Nur sarat akan nilai-nilai heroik atau kepahlawanan. Hasil penelitian mengenai nilai-nilai heroik ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan acuan bagi masyarakat dalam kehidupan sosial yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian yang mengkaji tentang konflik batin tokoh utama dalam Novel Bayang Suram Pelangi karya Arafat Nur ini meliputi konfllik batin. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan konflik batin tokoh utama dalam Novel Bayang Suram Pelangi karya Arafat Nur. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik kepustakaan. Teknik analisis data peneliian ini menggunakan teknik analisis penelitian kualitatif model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperoleh berbagai konflik batin tokoh utama. Tokoh utama protagonis dalam novel ini adalah Saidul dan Rusli. Tokoh utama antagonis dalam novel ini ialah Amat Pakuk, Sani, dan Sudiro Admojo Triwikromo. Konflik batin yang dialami oleh tokoh utama dikategorikan ke dalam tiga konflik batin yaitu konflik batin mendekat-mendekat, konflik batin mendekat-menjauh dan konflik batin menjauh-menjauh. Berdasakan hasil penelitian, tokoh Saidul memiliki jenis konflik batin mendekat-mendekat (2), konflik batin mendekat-menjauh (7), dan konflik batin menjauh-menjauh (6). Tokoh Rusli memiliki jenis konflik batin menjauh-menjauh (3), Tokoh Sudiro Admojo Triwiromo memiliki jenis konflik batin mendekat-mendekat (1). tokoh Amat Pakuk memiliki jenis konflik batin mendekat-mendekat (1) dan tokoh Sani memiliki jenis konflik batin mendekat-menjauh (1). Setelah dilakukan penelitian dan dianalisis, novel Bayang Suram Pelangi karya Arafat Nur ini banyak memberikan konflik batin tokoh terhadap pengembangan alur/peristiwa dalam cerita.
