Abstract

Abstract

Pering Village, Gianyar District is an area prone to earthquakes and tsunamis. The community service carried out with the theme "Disaster Mitigation Training with the kamishibai method" aims to train students and elementary school teachers in Pering Village to be responsive to earthquakes and tsunamis. The service which was carried out online through Webex media targeted SDN 5 Pering, Gianyar District, Bali. The disaster response training was carried out by telling a story entitled "I'm Not Afraid of the Earthquake and Tsunami" by Damayanti and illustrator Mirah (2021) using the kamishibai method. Then, the training was continued with socialization on disaster mitigation, and disaster response simulations by playing disaster response simulation videos. The results of this activity showed that the kamishibai method is an appropriate method to teach children about earthquake and tsunami disaster mitigation. Children easily understand how to deal with earthquakes and tsunamis after listening to fairy tales told through the kamishibai method. Dissemination of disaster mitigation and screening of simulation videos from the Regional Disaster Management Agency of the Province of Bali complement the knowledge and improve the skills of students and teachers in dealing with earthquake and tsunami disasters. It is hoped that this service can serve as an example for the community and government and private agencies who wish to improve the understanding and skills of children and teachers in dealing with disasters in schools. Keywords: disaster, earthquake, kamishibai, mitigation, storytelling, tsunami.

Abstract

Today's rapid development in the world of information technology causes almost all human work to become lighter and more effortless. One of them is the teacher's duties in teaching and giving grades. Applications already available on laptops or computers, such as Microsoft Office, can create more interactive teaching materials, create financial reports, or manage grades. However, most teachers who are familiar with laptops or computers can only operate the simple functions available in these applications, so the work that can be done is still limited. This service is carried out through training methods with material on using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for teachers. The school being targeted is SD Negeri 7 Kesiman, whose environment is already fluent in technology but whose human resources are still limited in operating computers. The training material in the form of a Microsoft Office training module compiled by the service society team is used as a learning medium for teachers at SD Negeri 7 Kesiman. Evaluation of training activities used methods in the form of pre-test and post-test, in which the results showed that the ability of teachers at SD Negeri 7 Kesiman to understand the material had increased from before. These results also illustrate that the modules are arranged to make it easy to learn and conform to the needs of the features that the teacher often uses. Keywords : Competency, computer, information technology, Microsoft Office, teacher.

Abstract

Larasati tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) can digest food efficiently, has fast growth, and is more resistant to disease, broad adaptability, and high tolerance to various environmental conditions so that it is prospectively cultivated in flowing water ponds (circulation). Galungan Village has the potential of Aquatic Resources that can be utilized for cultivation activities for Larasati tilapia enlargement. This service is carried out in several stages, namely; the location survey stage for pond construction, seed preparation, outreach, and evaluation. The purpose of this service is to be able to create an efficient Larasati tilapia cultivation medium to maximize the potential of aquatic resources in Galungan Village. This activity starts from the process of making tarpaulin ponds which is an implementation of research, carried out by the Mina Asih Sejati Fish Farmers Group (Pokdakan). The result of this activity is that the tarpaulin pond has no leaks or damage after the process of filling the water for 2 days so the pond is suitable for spreading Larasati tilapia seeds. The next activities were seed distribution and delivery of larasati tilapia feed to Pokdakan as well as mentoring and counseling carried out by the Buleleng Regency Fisheries and Resilience Service. The conclusion from this activity is that the use of tarpaulin ponds as a cultivation medium can achieve maximum goals without having to damage the main crops on the plantation by minimizing costs to produce the maximum pond area.
