Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of digital literacy skills on the performance of Vocational High School teachers.  The population in this study were all teachers who were civil servants at the State Vocational High School in Gowa Regency, totaling 238 teachers. The proportional random sampling technique was carried out in obtaining a research sample of 70 teachers who had previously used the slovin formula in determining the minimum number of research samples. questionnaire is an instrument in this research which in its development process is tested for content validity using the Gregory formula, construct validity using a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) technique with a maximum likelihood approach,  as well as testing the reliability of the instrument using the Cronbach alpha formula which produces a reliability coefficient value of 0.98 for the teacher's digital literacy skill instrument and a reliability coefficient value of 0.95 for the teacher's performance instrument. Simple linear regression technique was used to analyze the data obtained. The results of the study reveal that there is a positive and significant effect of digital literacy skills on the performance of Vocational High School teachers, and the contribution or influence of digital literacy skills on teacher performance is 39%.

Abstract

Learning from homeapplied in East Sumba is a distance learning Shift. This Shift learning system is done by dividing class levels. This research is R and D research, that focus on application of implementation, the application of the results of previous studies which is the development of the ideal distance learning model in East Sumba by using Addie model. The implementation of the Shift Research Results Guidelines was carried out in Kambera Public Middle School with quesioners, interview and FGD as data collection technique. The results of this study indicate that in: 1) preparation stage, the principal, parents and regional government has conducted a distance learning shift in accordance with the guidelines, while students and teachers have not implemented the preparation according to the guidelines because many students do not prepare health protocol devices while many teachers do not prepare props and video learning; 2) Implementation stage, students, teachers, principals and regional governments have conducted a distance learning Shift in accordance with the guidelines, while parents are not in accordance with the guidelines because parents do not accompany students in carrying out Shift learning at school; 3) Evaluation stage, students, teacher, principals, and local government has conducted a distance learning Shift in accordance with the guidelines, while parents are not in accordance with the guidelines because parents do not accompany students in taking the results of the evaluation of children in school and do not provide feedback to the assessment results.

Abstract

The presence of lecturers is closely related to the teaching and learning process on campus, which affects the quality of graduates. Therefore, qualified lecturers are needed, namely lecturers who can carry out responsibilities in the teaching and learning process. The quality of teachers or lecturers can be reflected in their level of professionalism, namely expertise in carrying out work carried out effectively and efficiently. This study aims to analyze the professionalism of lecturers in providing learning materials to students on student assessments based on the dimensions of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The method and approach in this research is descriptive analytic by using primary data through questionnaires. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that exogenous variables in professionalism along with their indicators have proven to be strong in shaping the professionalism of lecturers so as to increase student satisfaction. This study uses limited variables and indicators. The weakness of this research can be supported by other, more comprehensive research.

Abstract

Digital era requires teachers to be able to package learning activities by utilizing digital technology. The purpose of this study is to find out how teachers lead students in learning activities in the digital era and find out the impact of the digital era on learning and teachers. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with observation and interview data collection techniques. The results of this study are the development of the digital era, making students and teachers learn not limited by space and time. Teachers need to prepare learning plans related to digital materials and media that will be used. The use of digital media such as google form, google classroom, powerpoint, various learning applications, blogger, quizizz, google meet video conference, and zoom meeting have been used by teachers. Digital era has a positive and negative impact on the implementation of learning and for teachers. The positive impacts are (1) digital media makes it easier for students to access any learning materials; (2) students enjoy digital learning media more; (3) teachers participate in various trainings to improve skills; and (4) the teacher will continue to learn new things. The negative impacts caused are (1) learning materials become wider so that essential materials are not obtained; (2) less focused learning; (3) teachers are not always able to control students one by one on the use of gadgets; and (4) the spirit and abilities of senior teachers still need to be improved. The conclusion is that teachers as student leaders in learning are expected to be able to effectively package the development of the digital era to facilitate the implementation of learning.

Abstract

Principals of Elementary Schools have an effect on improving the quality of education. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The aim of this research is to describe the leadership of elementary schools in Indonesia and China. Data and data sources are taken from interviews and questionnaires. Sources of literature review data in the form of journals, books, and articles are more effective. Qualitative research methods to enrich information data in depth about the problem to be solved. Data collection techniques with questionnaires, interviews, and literature review. The research data analysis technique is an interactive model of Miles and Huberman which begins with collecting raw data, displaying data, reducing data, verifying data, and concluding data. The results showed that the principal’s leadership influenced the improvement of the education quality of school institutions. Primary school leadership in Indonesia and China share a common commitment to realizing the vision and mission for the advancement of school quality, communicating with teachers about the vision and mission to be achieved, empowering the work climate for teachers professional performance. The difference between principal’s leadership in Indonesia and China lies in the dedication of working time in China is longer than the working time of principals in Indonesia. Indonesia with democratic leadership while China with instructional leadership It is hoped that school principals can improve performance and leadership quality for the advancement of education in Indonesia so as to produce quality and competitive output in 21st century life.

Abstract

Students are school inputs that affect the quality and achievement of educational goals. Differences in talents, motivations, and characteristics of students, school zoning systems, schools focus more on increasing the quantity than the quality of students, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, the number of educators and education are some of the problems related to students. These problems have an impact on the quality of graduates and the achievement of educational goals in schools. Therefore, students in educational units need to be managed properly through the concept of student management. The purpose of writing this article is to describe and analyze the management of students in the education unit. The writing of this article uses the library research method. Student management are activities carried out by schools and related to students. Activities in student management include; Planning for students (needs analysis, recruitment, selection, orientation, placement, recording and reporting of students), student development, student evaluation and student transfer. Education unit managers need to optimize the management of quality students so that students receive optimal educational services from entering school until they graduate from school.
