Abstract

Utilization of renewable energy is a solution to overcome electricity demand, including PV.PV rooftop can be applied in every building, where solar modules can be placed on the roofbuildings. It also can be done in the University of Udayana Rectorate building because the roof hasthe potential of PV and capable of being a power supply to meet its own needs. This study willdiscuss about the design PV rooftop of the Udayana rectorate building. It simulates the helioscopewith an optimal angle of 14.660 get the result with solar module as much as 135 units with 2inverter pieces of 50 kW the capacity of 45.2 kWp PLTS. While with a sloped roof angle of 15.60get the solar module result as many as 137 units with 2 inverter pieces of 50 kW with PLTScapacity of 45.9 kWp. The calculating production of electric energy produced by PV by simulatingHOMER get the result of PV configuration with Grid capable of supplying electrical energy of304,772 kWh/year, where PV is able to supply at 61,217 kWh/year and Grid supplying electricityenergy of 243,555 kWh/year. The results of the design PV rooftop and calculation results ofelectrical energy production can analyze the economy of the simulation results HOMER with thecost of selling electricity energy PV to PLN in the amount of Rp. 883/kWh can be said to be worthydesigned because it is able to restore the cost of early investment costs PV rooftop of the rectoratebuilding.

Abstract

The selection of lightning rods in the Nusa Dua Highland housing estate aims to securethe housing area from lightning strikes, because the housing has not been protected by lightningrods and earthing system components which are very difficult because they have rocky soil types.The average number of lightning strikes per year with a density value of 31 per km2 and populationdensity, land use for houses and buildings have a very high level of vulnerability, so lightning rodsare needed to secure the Nusa Dua Highland residential area. Lightning rods to be used areconventional lightning rods or Evo Franklin (E.F). The selection of the type of lightning rod is done byanalyzing technical and economical. The results achieved in this study are the type of lightning rodsuitable for housing Nusa Dua Highland is the E.F lightning rod with an earthing system. Becausefrom technical analysis, 1 E.F lightning rod is able to protect the entire residential area with 37,994m2 of protection area from the 22,444 m2 housing area, while 1 conventional lightning rod is onlyable to protect 1 house from a total of 147 housing units. In terms of economical cost of installing E.Flightning rods is much cheaper at a cost of Rp. 104,450,000. Conventional lightning rods cost Rp.14,390,000 for 1 housing unit and to protect the entire housing using conventional lightning rodsneeded 147 lightning rods at a cost of Rp. 2,115,390,000.

Abstract

The construction of the Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) 150 kV Pecatu is planned by PT. PLN(Persero) to get electricity needs in the area of Pecatu, Badung Regency, Bali Province. The GasInsulated Substation (GIS) 150 kV Pecatu is located in a hilly area with a texture of limestone rockysoil and the resulting soil type resistance is ? = 263.76 ohm-meter. The results of calculations for thetype of earthing system Plates earth resistance value of 0.95 ohms at a cost of Rp. 4,196,000,000, -(Four Billion One Hundred Ninety Six Million Rupiah), for the type of Mesh earthing system no resultsare obtained <1 ohm and for the Multi Grid-Rod earthing system type the grounding resistance valueis 0.876 ohms at a cost of Rp 3,753,120,000, - (Three Billion Seven Hundred Fifty Three Million OneHundred Twenty Thousand Rupiah). The type of earthing system recommended is a Multi Grid-Rodearthing system with a distance between parallel conductors (D) of 1 meter, depth of conductorplanting as deep as 4 meters above the ground surface, Rod electrode diameter of 0.015 meters, Rodelectrode length of 4 meters and total conductor length of 12500 meters.

Abstract

Additive,Layer,Manufacturing,or,better,known,as,3D,printers,is,.the,process,of,combining,materials,to build,objects,from,3D,model,data,with,layer,by,layer. In the development process, a newproduct prototype, 3D Printing, is a machine that plays a big role in the 2 and 3dimensional,creation,process,in,the,product,design,process.,The,quality,of,printouts,and,timeefficient,in,making,3D,modeling,produced,becomes,more,effective,and,optimal.,The,purpose,of,the,study,is,to,examine,the,effectiveness,of,the,3D.printer.system.design,work using a shieldtype XY Ramp Core 1.4 based atmega 2560 and know the quality of the 3D printer prints. Thisresearch is a type of design activity, the results of data analysis using the results of 3Dmodeling are processed using a 3D printer and have a value of size accuracy as evidenced bythe results of 3D measurements using calipers, It can be concluded that the 3D printer machinewith,the,XY,belt,core,system,uses,Atemega,2560,based Ramp 1.4 which is made suitable foruse in the 3D modeling process of,3D,modeling,measurements,using,calipers.

Abstract

Garbage is often a problem, especially in big cities. The average amount of waste in Indonesiais 64 million tons / year, while the number of landfills in Indonesia is around 400 with a landfill capacitythat can accommodate 233 kg / day. Not to mention the unpleasant odor and dirty city views causediscomfort. This is where a solution is needed by leading to the use of technology in an effort tocreate a clean environment by reducing the level of waste accumulation and reducing waste litteredwith the Internet of Things technology. This tool is able to monitor the height of waste and gas contentvia the web. The internet system uses the MCU Node module with energy supply from solar cells.Working voltage of the control system is 5V, a stepdown module is needed to reduce the batteryvoltage from 12V to 5V. Detection of the height of waste using a PING sensor and to determine thelevels of methane gas using the sensor MQ-135. From testing at Student Center LT 4, it was foundthat the garbage accumulated on Saturday by 60 cm with 126 PPM methane gas levels that indicatedunhealthy. This monitoring system can last up to 7 days because it uses solar cells, but this canexperience changes due to the intensity of the sun.

Abstract

Sanur substation has an important role to fulfill electricity consumption in the Sanurarea and parts of the city of Denpasar. Bursbar is very important part of the performance of asubstation. failures that occur on the busbar can result in widespread blackouts that disrupt thecontinuity of the flow of electric power. A sensitive, selective and fast busbar protection systemis needed to prevent widespread blackouts. This research is designed to design dual 150 kVbusbar protection using differential relays. The power flow and short circuit current in Sanursubstation in this study were analyzed using simulation of load flow and short circuit withcomputer software. Current calculation as the basis for designing and setting differential relaysettings as busbar protection is carried out by the Merz price calculating current method, allcurrents entering and leaving the secured equipment, compared to each other. The busbarprotection system using differential relays was successfully designed with a pick up currentsetting of 0.88 A for busbar A and 1.046 A for busbar B, as well as breakpoints 6 A, slope1;30%, slope2; 135%, and zero seconds working time for both relays the. The differential relaydesigned is able to isolate busbar failures more sensitive, more selective, and faster with aclearing time of 0.035 seconds compared to the existing condition protection system with aclearing time of 1.185 seconds.

Abstract

Increasing electricity demand in South Bali requires a reliable electrical system. Reliableelectrical systems can be achieved in various ways, one of which is the replacement of highvoltage overhead line to high voltage underground cable. The replacement high voltageoverhead line to high voltage underground cable requires adjustment of the protection system.The previous main protection system used in high voltage overhead line is distance relay, whilethe protection system for the new transmission network is line current differential relay. Thepurpose of this study is to analyze GIS Pesanggaran to GI Nusa Dua transmission line’sprotection system. The covered in this analysis is to power flow analysis simulation, 3 phaseshort circuit simulation, relays setting calculation and testing the relays setting.The power flowsimulation showed that the current at peak load from GIS Pesanggaran to GI Nusa Dua is 337A. The 3 phase short circuit simulation showed that the largest short circuit, if a fault occurs onthe GI Nusa Dua of 9.54 kA. The relays setting calcullation showed that of 0,2 A with 20 %slope for Is1 and 2 A with 150% slope for Is2. The results showed that the relays setting hasworked properly.

Abstract

As the technology advances in control system grow rapidly, especially those involved with water temperature, there is anincreased demand for a control system that is able to provide precisely stable temperature value. The commonly used systemsnowadays are still using the ON/OFF control system for it is relatively affordable and simple, but unfortunately numerouserrors are still found and it is not yet able to provide precise data. Therefore, a PID control system was developed to addressthis issue. In this study, Arduino UNO temperature control was used as data acquisition system, and LM35 temperature sensorwas used to detect the temperature recognized by signal conditioning. From the signal conditioning, the driver will then controlthe heater in order to obtain a precise temperature. This PID system utilized a water-resistant temperature sensor. In this study, the heater was treated by means of controlling the PID temperature which ranged from 69oC to 70.5oC. Another test was doneby comparing the temperature value detected by the device’s temperature sensor with an external digital thermometer whichwas placed in the same container. The temperature value detected by the device’s temperature sensor had a difference of ±1,300C compared to the digital thermometer.

Abstract

The Government started a million solar rooftop movement to help accelerate Indonesia'srenewable energy target in 2025. In effect of ministerial regulation 49/2018, householdcustomers are able to install grid tie photovoltaic and export excess energy to PLN. Inverter is acomplex and a vital component to the performance of grid tie photovoltaic systems, thereforeinverter used must follow applicable standard. This article reviews the avaibility of inverters forsolar rooftop in Indonesia. The purpose of this article is to know the avaibility of inverter andhow they are seen from applicable standard. From this research produced inverter databaseconsisted of 513 inverter models. Inverter database then analyzed seen from its manufacturingstatus, inverter power output capacity, THD output, efficiency, and price. This information iscrucial in choosing quality inverter so rooftop photovoltaic would work effectively andsustainably. Presently various inverters with capacity 0,5 kW - 10 kW already available which issuitable for solar rooftop application. There are already plenty inverters with THD output <3%that conform with Indonesia’s standard but many also still have not listed their THD output.Inverter efficiency is already >95% and available with an average price of Rp3,435,380/kW. Listof inverter models that conform standard and certification presented in a table which served asoutput of this research.

Abstract

Frog thigh meat is one of the potential non-oil and gas export commodities. In 2011-2012 thevalue of frog thigh meat exports decreased from 4.152 tons to 2.694 tons. The scarcity of toadsavailable is due to massive hunting and the spread of red leg syndrome. Red leg syndrome is causeddue to lack of monitoring of the condition of the bull frog pond. A harassment solution is needed byutilizing the Internet-based technology of Things as an effort to create an environment, especially theright water content of the bull frog, so as to reduce the number of bull frogs affected by the disease.This tool is able to monitor pH values and water turbidity levels in aquaculture ponds through theThingspeaks platform. The test was carried out in one of the Beetle Fodder Animal HusbandryGroups located in Buduk Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency. It was found that the pH value inthe pond was 6.5-8 and the turbidity level was 3,8-9 NTU. Based on these results, aquaculture pondsare in accordance with water standards for the life of a bull toad with a pH value of 6.5-8.5 andturbidity levels of 1.2-11.6 NTU
