Abstract

This qualitative research was conducted to determine the implementation of character education in MIN Gamol, Kecandran, Salatiga. The research problem are how the concept of character education in MI is, how are the methods and strategies of character education, and what are the factors supporting and inhibiting the process of maintaining character education. Research data was collected by interviews which related to the informants, documentation, and field observations. The result shows that the concept of character education in MIN Gamol, Kecandran, Salatiga generally understood as moral education or good moral as a part of character education is less discussed. The emphasized main values are religious, discipline, responsibility, patriotism, nationalism spirit, and achievement appreciation. The method to accustomed character education in MIN Gamol is integrated in all subjects by performing some strategies with habituation, exemplary, discipline, observation and home visit. The educational character is supporting by a young and vibrant teacher, exemplary by school leaders, and students who are ready to respond the tasks from the teacher. The completeness of published documents and the attention of the foundation committee and parents also influence the goals to success. While the inhibiting factors are limited control power of teachers, lack of teachers counseling, inactive parenting club, the condition of school environment and less of parental attention.

Abstract

The research objectives of this research are: (1) What is the concept Mohammad Natsir of Islamic education?, (2) What are the cornerstone concept of thought Mohammad Natsir in Islamic education?, (3) How relevant is the idea Mohammad Natsir on the thinking of Islamic education in Indonesia today?. To answer these questions, this study used literature research. Because here is a literature review of research, the author examines the concept of thought in Mohammad Natsir with the help of books in his own writings as well as books written by others that tell about the Islamic educational thought by Mohammad Natsir. The results showed that the concept Mohammad Natsir of Islamic education that Education should be able to bring man achieve his goal, which devote themselves to God, having good character (akhlakul karimah) and got a decent living in the world. While the foundation of Islamic education is to know God, to acknowledge the ones of God and not to consider as an ally of Him. Relevance thought Mohammad Natsir to education in Indonesia today, as evidenced by the existence of public schools and Islamic school (madrasah), even schools that combine general education and religious education, as well as coordination among the schools with the holding of the National exam together.

Abstract

This research is to know (1) How is the systematic writing the book Al-Barzanji? (2) What educational value personality in the book Al-Barzanji, and (3) how the relevance of educational values of personality in the book Al-Barzanji with modern life today? It is a kind of library research. The results showed that the book Al-Barzanji contains prayers of adoration and the telling of the history of the Prophet Muhammad commonly sung to the rhythm or tone. Al-Barzanji book tells about the life of Prophet Muhammad SAW i.e. genealogy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, until he was appointed to be an apostle. It also tells of the properties owned by the noble Prophet Muhammad as well as various events to be used as an example of humanity. While the educational values of personality contained in the book is the patience to face trials, trust, tawadhu, simplicity, forgiveness, deliberation, cherish and love the weak. Education Relevance personality in the book Al-Barzanji have the appropriate suitability with personality education required by today's youth, both in educational value and educational purposes personality. If the educational value of personality in the book Al-Barzanji exemplified or taught to students, it will produce the young generation that is virtuous and lift this nation as a nation which Berzanjen reading of the al-Barzanji together constitute a very popular tradition. The activity is part of the repertoire of the typical boarding vibrant literary sustainable long ago and persisted until today.

Abstract

Noble character is a reflection of one's personality, in addition to the superior morality will be able to bring someone to the high dignity. Lately, a good manner is costly and hard to find. The lack of understanding of moral values contained in the Qur'an and Hadith will further aggravate the condition of a person's personality, even life seemed to feel less meaningful. To form a noble personal, moral cultivation against children should be encouraged from an early age, since its formation will be easier than after the child's adulthood. Al Akhlaq Lil Banat book discusses some manners to apply in life, good family environment, school or community. It will create private-mannered accordance with the guidance of the Qur'an. It is a kind of literature review. To obtain representative data in the discussion, it is used library research to find, collect, read, and analyze the books with no relevance to the research problem. The relevant references then is compiled, analyzed, so as obtained as conclusion. To achieve success in the educational process, the material in the book Al Akhlaq Lil Banat can be used as a reference in order to achieve educational success. The material presented in this book is not only refers to the relationship between man and God (transcendental), but also on the relationship between humans (anthropocentric), such as morality to parents, relatives, neighbors, peers and also to the adab or ordinances, such manners visit, walking, traveling, and so forth.

Abstract

Supervisors are one of the most important elements in ensuring the quality of madrasah education. Therefore, the duty of the supervisor have to be in accordance with the work program about the quality of education in the madrasah is in accordance with the standards set by the madrasah. The maximum implementation of supervisory to the academic supervision will help the quality of madrasah education to be achieved. This study aims to determine the academic supervisory competence of madrasah supervisors, the quality of madarasah education, and the relation of academic supervisory competence and the quality of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah education in the Sub-district of West Ungaran Barat, Semarang District.This study used the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. And the data analysis used flow flows. The conclusion of this study was that the academic supervision competence of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah supervisor has been carried out but has not been maximally in accordance with the supervisor's work program. While, the education quality of MI Nyatnyono 2 and MI Lerep in the process standards and results have not been maximized. And the relations of the supervisors' academic competency supervision and MI (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) quality education are associative relations in the form of cooperation, accommodation and supervisory associations in conducting academic supervision in the MI so that the quality of MI education in standard processes and results can be carried out even though it is not maximized.

Abstract

The scientific approach is an approach that is much highlighted in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum with learner-centered learning. Learning steps with this approach is designed so that learners are actively building concepts, principles or laws through the stages which includes observing, asking, reasoning, trying, and forming networks. The aims of this study are to develop student worksheets with a scientific approach to ecosystem balance learning material, describe the effect of student worksheets based on a scientific approach toward creative thinking skills, and explain the effect of student worksheets with a scientific approach to student learning outcomes. The method used in this study was pre-experimental design with the research design of one-group pretest-posttest design. Subjects in this study were learners VB class Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri/MIN (Islamic Elementary School) 1 Magelang which numbered 26 people. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and written tests. The results of the study show that the student worksheet based on the scientific approach can improve student learning outcomes of 4.50 from an average of 70.00 to 74.50, and increasing the number of students completeness by 8 from 14 to 22 students who completed, the percentage of completed students increased by 30.76%, from 53.85% to 84.61%, the class completeness percentage of 84.61% exceeded the class completeness criteria was set at 80%, and a positive effect on creative thinking skills of learners.

Abstract

This research was motivated by MI Ma'arif Kutowinangun fifth grade students who have difficulty in receiving the lessons with materials related to addition and subtraction of various fractions. Especially, when dealing with addition and subtraction of fractions operations with different denominators. This was showed by the results of interviews and observations made by the author. With minimum completeness criteria of 60, from 14 students of V class, only nine of them reached the minimum completeness criteria, and the rest have not been able to achieve the minimum completeness criteria.Based on the above problems, then the author conducted Classroom Action Research (CAR) to determine the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes in fraction operation material with grid square unit media. The research subject was fifth grade students of MI Ma’arif Kutowinangun consisting of 20 students, 11 of them were female and nine of them were male. While, the data collection was obtained through interviews, observation, and evaluation results through written tests which then were analyzed by percentage.Based on this research, there was improvement of student mathematics learning outcomes in fraction operation with grid square unit media. From 20 students who reached the minimum completeness criteria 60 in the first cycle was 16 students or 80%. Then it increased in the second cycle that all fifth grade students of MI Ma'arif Kutowinangun reached the minimum completeness criteria or 100%.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of Berinjam material in Akidah Akhlak subject. It is expected that the importance of mutual cooperation material in Akidah Akhlak subject drives students to apply commendable behavior in their daily lives both to themselves and to others. The purpose of this study is to develop teaching materials in the form of lesson plans on the basis of local wisdom. This study used a qualitative method by explaining the development of mutual cooperation material in Akidah Akhlak subject. Based on the findings, Berinjam is a form of sense of helping each other and the community performs its duties properly in accordance with habits and traditions and is carried out jointly. Material development must also refer to the 2013 curriculum. In the matter of mutual cooperation, SD / MI is contained in aspects of morality. The material from Berinjam is intended to make everyone becomes educated in the sense of thinking, listening and be righteous. Berinjam material which is contextualized in mutual cooperation material seizes to shape smart and educated students. In addition, efforts to bring students closer to the peculiarities of the local culture in their homes will not work well if teachers cannot convey it properly. Therefore, teachers must have an adequate understanding of the local cultural values, in addition to their ability to develop the subject matter must be accompanied by contextual so that learning can be achieved. Thus, Berinjam material must be developed through internalization by helping, cooperating and respecting each other.

Abstract

This study aims to provide understanding about school’s perceptions of discipline and punishment for elementary students in Bawen and Ambarawa region.  This research used qualitative method to collect the data.  The datas was collected by questionnaire and observation.  The participants consist of students and their parents, also the teachers of elementary school in Bawen and Ambarawa regions.  From the observation could get some different perception about punishment to the children or student in the form. The data collected by some classification, so it obtained a decision of their opinion. The results showed that the physical and verbal punishment as in various forms in classroom for discipline programs.  When the students broke the rules, they would be subject to discipline.  Actually, punishment had some negative side effects to them.  The students who were the object of punishment would showed a bad attitude towards to their teachers and friends.  It could be concluded that punishment is humanistic and educative punishment and the least effective of punishment was authoritarian and non- educative punishment. The teacher should give punishment which would give an educational effect to their student. So, they would get an educational advantages from it.

Abstract

This aims of study is to improve the understanding of language by identifying the main sentence in mathematics subject especially in the story matter. The methods of this research is class room action reseach by doing two cycles proccess.  The collecting data method was obtained by observation, test, and documentation.  Data analysis proccess was done by using an interactive model consisting of four components of analysis including data colection, selection, presentation, and conclusion.Based on the results, sentences identification learning method can be increased language understanding to solve the problem of story matter in mathematic subject in 4th grade in MI. Thus, it could be concluded that in mathematics learning by using sentences identification methods can be used to increase MI student ability to solve the story of matter. By the methods, the students will be easy to understand the sentences, so thet can finish and solve the test, and also they can made their sentences on their mind.
