Abstract

The new policy in “Implementation of New Students” (PPDB) 2018 concerning the zoning system is implemented by the government. Student domicile with distance will be one of the considerations in PPDB. The research objective is to find out how the implementation of the Minister of Education and Culture’s policy on PPDB using the zoning system in Jombang. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. This research shows that the implementation of the Minister of Education and Culture’s policy on zoning systems based on zoning systems at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Primary School) and Primary School levels in Jombang runs in accordance with the guidelines of each school due to differences in guidelines for conducting PPDB. The application of this policy has both positive and negative effects that are felt by the school and student guardians. Based on these impacts, the researcher conducted an analysis of the measurement of policy implementation and obtained the results that the implementation of the policy on the zoning system in elementary schools in Jombang went well.

Abstract

Abstrak: Situasi krisis spiritual dan moral pelajar pasca-reformasi menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi moral dan spiritual yang diproses melalui sekolah dengan berbagai pengembangannya belum menghasilkan kecerdasan moral dan kecerdasan spiritual yang diharapkan. Kondisi ini diduga berasal dari verbalisasi budaya yang berkembang dari proses pembelajaran moral dan spiritual yang hanya bersifat tekstual murni. Fenomena dan fakta tersebut menyimpulkan pentingnya pendidikan karakter secara intensif sebagai esensi dari kecerdasan moral dan pembentukan spiritual. Oleh karena itu, kecerdasan moral dan kecerdasan spiritual harus tumbuh dan berkembang melalui pendidikan karakter aplikatif. Pada tahap awal, pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di tingkat sekolah perlu dilakukan melalui pengkondisian moral yang kemudian berlanjut dengan pelatihan moral. Desain pendidikan karakter sebagaimana di atas berfungsi sebagai alat untuk pengembangan moral peserta didik yang sistemik dengan kompetensi kecerdasan dan karakter.Abstract: Spiritual and moral crisis situation of post-reform students demonstrate competency moral and spiritual competence processed through schooling stool output immature development of moral intelligence and spiritual intelligence  of students. This condition is allegedly originated from the growing culture verbalistic of moral and spiritual learning process merely textual. Phenomenon and the fact, led many to conclude the importance of the character education intensively as the essence of moral intelligence and spiritual formation.  Therefore, moral intelligence and spiritual intelligence must be consciously learned and grown through the applicative character education. In the early stages, the implementation of character education at the level of schooling needs to be done through conditioning moral then continues with moral training. Educational design a character like above serves as a tool for the development of systemic moral eguip learners with the competencies of intelligence and character.

Abstract

Today the discussion of radicalism is often associated with Muslims. The pesantren as an Islamic educational institution is the foundation of the ummah to spread peace and introduce to Islamic brothers and sisters among the pesantren. This paper intends to offer ideas on efforts to increase the role of pesantren as a stronghold to counter the development of radical understanding and action in their environment. This idea was formulated based on three things: first, the philosophy and tradition of pesantren; second, facts found about the understanding that developed in pesantren and third, the analysis of the stages and factors that can make someone who has a radical understanding can be dragged into radical actions.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji ideologi dan politik pendidikan perspektif peradaban Islam dan Barat. Tujuan kajian ini adalah pemetaan karakteristik masing-masing dan tentunya penulis melakukan penilaian-penilaian sekaligus juga mencoba menghadirkan salah satu studi kasus mengenai tema ini. Artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa kajian mengenai ideologi ternyata tidak lepas dari kajian worldview (pandangan dunia). Worldview juga menyangkut persoalan umum tidak hanya dunia fisik tapi juga metafisis. Kajian worldview dapat mengetahui hakikat sebuah ideologi suatu bangsa. Ideologi lebih khusus terkait pikiran yang mempengaruhi dan mendorong tindakan sosial dan politik. Jelas bahwa, ketika peradaban Islam dan Barat dikaji melalui worldview maka terlihat perbedaan antara keduanya. Hal ini berimplikasi pada konsep ideologi keduanya yang mempengaruhi konsep ilmu dan praktik pendidikan. Sudah barang tentu hal ini merupakan konsekuensi logis dari sebuah bangunan peradaban. Dan terlihat jelas muatan dan pertarungan bahkan dominasi suatu worldview dan ideologi serta praktik politik pendidikan Islam dalam konteks pendidikan di Indonesia.This article examines the ideology and politics of educational perspectives of Islamic and Western civilization. The purpose of this study is to mapping the characteristics of each. Here I try to present one case on this theme. This article shows that the study of ideology can not separated from the worldview study. The worldview study also concerns the general problems of not only the physical world but also the metaphysical one. The worldview study can know the essence of an ideology of a nation. Ideologies are more specifically related thoughts that influence and encourage social and political action. It is clear that when Islamic and Western civilizations are studied through the worldview, there is a difference between the two. This implies both the concept of ideology that influences the concept of science and practice of education. Of course this is a logical consequence of a civilization. And clearly visible content and battle and even dominance of a worldview, ideology and political practice of Islamic education in the context of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Keadaan pandemi menjadi hal yang tak pernah diduga oleh masyarakat, sehingga banyak keadaan yang tidak mampu dikondisikan sebab tidak adanya kesiapan baik dari masyarakat maupun dari pemerintah. Hal ini dirasakan  bukan hanya pada aspek ekonomi tetapi juga pada aspek pendidikan yang sangat meresahkan masyarakat karena situasi yang belum juga mampu dikondisikan. Sebagai salah satu instansi pendidikan ditingkat perguruan tinggi, Universitas Pesantren Tinggi Darul ‘Ulum Jombang (Unipdu) turut mendukung pemerintah dalam upaya memutus mata rantai persebaran Covid-19 dengan mematuhi aturan, yaitu memberhentikan sementara pembelajaran tatap muka atau penerapan sistem pembelajaran daring serta membuat kebijakan baru work from home bagi staf dan dosen. Dengan penerapan kebijakan tersebut peneliti melakukan analisis penerapan kebijakan tersebut serta dampak nya terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Dari hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa terdapat beberapa perubahah kebijakan baik bagi mahasiswa, staf, maupun dosen. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa perubahan kebijakan sebelumnya menjadi kebijakan baru selama pandemi tidak berdampak terhadap kinerja pegawai karena seluruh pegawai mampu menjaga komunikasi dan kerja sama yang merupakan budaya para staf dan dosen Unipdu untuk selalu menjaga nilai kekompakan dan kekeluargaan.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and explore the internalization of the value of PAI in SD Plus Rahmat Kediri through school strategies and programs as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in realizing religious culture through exemplary and habituation. The approach taken is a qualitative approach through a case study design so that the data is analyzed through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/data verification. School strategies and programs as an effort to internalize the value of PAI are carried out in the presence of several programs: 5S; prayer in congregation; memorize short letters and recite the al-Qur’ān using the ummī method; pray when going to start activities and end activities; and exemplary and habitual morality. The role of school people and parents becomes meaningful support for the implementation of this program, obstacles appear in some parents who have different vision and mission of education with the school, teacher assistance that is not optimal in every religious activity and school facilities does not support the development of religious culture efforts are made to make improvements including musala. Therefore, good relations and cooperation between all parties are needed to create an institution that internalizes the values of Islamic religious education.

Abstract

The result of superintendent performance at private madrasah aliyah in Bandung city is a legality document of madrasah. The documents include madrasah head documents, teacher documents, student documents and madrasah documents. Superintendent in performing their duties and functions to the madrasah are to monitor the completeness of madrasah administration. The purpose of this study is to find out more about the planning, implementation, performance results, supporting factors and performance inhibitors. This study is a narrative qualitative, with nine participantst that consist of four participants from the superintendent, four participants from the heads of the madrasah, and one participant from the section head of the madrasah. Data were collected through interviews, documentation studies, and observations. Then the data is analyzed by triangulation method.The results of the interviews, observation and documentation study are found that not all madrasah superintendent perform performance planning at the beginning of the academic year. The implementation of superintendent performance is monitoring and nurturing the head of madrasah and teachers through document. The results of the superintendent performance in the madrasah are documents from the completeness of the documents it will be the release of certification money for teachers and head of madrasah, and the liquidity of government aid funds. The inhibiting factor of superintendent performance is the lack of competence of the madrasah head, so the response to the change seems to be slowly accepted. Performance support factors are supervisory work means which are adequate. The control of superintendent performance is still less than the maximum. The lack of working hours and supervision of superintendent performance results need to be more reviewed. superintendent on the superintendent performance has not been a genuine concern from related parties.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang efektivitas komunikasi organisasi pimpinan dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Dalam penelitian ini melibatkan 45 responden karyawan Univesitas Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum Jombang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas komunikasi organisasi pimpinan berpengaruh terhadap kinerjakaryawan sebesar 39,3 % dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja sebesar 38,9 %. Hal ini mendukung teori bahwa semakin efektif komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh pimpinan dan kepuasan kerja maka semakin meningkat kinerja karyawan. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini diharapkan bisa menjadi pertimbangan pimpinan dalam membuat kebijakan dan keputusan terkait kepuasan kerja dan kinerja karyawan.The research study examined the effectiveness of communication in organizational leadhership and job satisfaction on employee performance. 45 employees of University of Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum Jombang were respondents. Data analysis applied simple linear regression analysis. The result of this research show that the effectiveness of communication lead organization affects the performance of employees by 39% and job satisfaction affects the employee performance of 38, 9%. This supports the theory than the more effective leadhership communication done and job satisfaction then further improve the performance of employees. The practical implications of this study are expected to be considered leaders in making policies and decisions related to job satisfaction and employee performance.

Abstract

Karya ilmiah ini merupakan hasil kajian pustaka tentang upaya membumikan kesadaran pluralisme melalui pendekatan pendidikan Islam. Seperti yang diketahui bahwa pluralisme adalah realitas yang betul-betul terjadi di sekitar kehidupan kita sehari-hari, baik pada agama, budaya, pendidikan, ras dan suku. Adanya keberagaman tidak lain merupakan bagian dari sunnatullāh. Maksudnya, keberagaman merupakan bagian dari kehendak Tuhan sebagai pencipta manusia dan seluruh makhluk di jagad raya ini. Tentunya, dengan tujuan agar perbedaan diambil sisi positifnya sebagai jalan pemandu untuk bekerja sama, introspeksi diri, dan tolong-menolong. Karena jikalau Allah menghendaki sebuah keseragaman maka niscaya Allah menjadikan umat yang tunggal, satu suku, satu bangsa, satu agama, tetapi pada faktanya tidak demikian. Dalam Alquran, Allah secara tegas menyatakan bahwa sengaja menjadikan kita bermacam-macam agar kita saling mengenal satu sama lain. Dalam konteks ke-Indonesiaan, kesadaran tentang kemajemukan ini perlu dan harus terus dijaga demi keutuhan bangsa dan negara, sebagaimana Rasulullah SAW menjaga keutuhan kota Madinah diatas perbedaan agama, suku, ras dan kabilah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of motivation, competence, leadership, work environment and work discipline on teacher performance. After testing, it is concluded that motivation, competence, leadership, work environment have a significant effect on teacher performance. While the work discipline has no significant effect on teacher performance. It is simultaneously known that there is a significant influence between motivation, competence, leadership, work environment and work discipline collectively on teacher performance. Based on statistical test, adjusted R square (R2) is 0,736 or 73,6% indicating that 73,6% change of teacher performance variable can be explained by motivation, competence, leadership, work environment and work discipline, while the rest 26,4% explained by other variables outside the model. The result of 0.736 shows the correlation between the independent variables simultaneously to the employee performance variable has a strong correlation. While in each independent variable affect the performance of teachers are as follows: Y = 1.616 + 0.463 X1 + 0.352 X2 + 0.373 X3 + 0.635 X4 + 0.250 X5, meaning constants. Based on T test, it is found that for competence and performance variables have no effect on teacher performance, and other variables have an effect. For F test obtained the result that together independent variable influence on teacher performance at SMK NU Mojoagung Superior Jombang.
