Abstract

Basically, Islamic Education is not able yet to maximize of using the brain of learning. Human beings still use their rational brains, they are not able yet to integrate rational brain and intuitive brain. So, the result of the education process is not like yet what it’s expect. In this journal, the authors conducted literature studies using books,e-books, and journal articles to study the rational brain and intuitive brain in Islamic education. From the study, it was hoped to find a discussion of rational brain and brain in Islamic Education.

Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini membahas model kepemimpinan kiai di pesantren dan implikasinya terhadap perkembangan pesantren tersebut. Dengan adanya kekuatan kiai, pesantren dapat menjadi model institusi pendidikan yang khas dan memiliki keunikan tersendiri dalam mewadahi tanggung jawab untuk mendidik santri menguasai ilmu keagamaan dan sekaligus pengembangan masyarakat. Disebabkan keberadaan kiai, pesantren dapat menjadi institusi yang memiliki keunggulan, baik pada sisi keilmuan dan juga transmisi serta internalisasi moralitasnya. Keadaan pesantren yang memiliki kiai yang tidak kharismatik, misalnya, menjadikan pesantren kehilangan kepercayaan masyarakat termasuk kepercayaan alumni itu sendiri. Sehingga, alumni dan masyarakat tidak mau membantu pesantren baik dari segi pengelolaan maupun pendanaan, serta masyarakat menjadi ragu untuk menyerahkan pendidikan anaknya di lingkungan pesantren. Salah satu pesantren yang disinggung itu adalah Pondok Pesantren Al-Ichsan Brangkal Sooko Mojokerto. Berangkat dari itu, penelitian ini berupaya menjawab tiga pertanyaan mendasar: (1) bagaimana kepemimpinan kiai di Pondok Pesantren Al-Ichsan? (2) bagaimana pengembangan Pondok Pesantren Al-Ichsan? (3) bagaimana hubungan antara kepemimpinan kiai dengan perkembangan pondok pesantren Al-Ichsan?Abstract: This article discusses leadership models of the kiais (leaders of pesantrens or Muslim societies) in pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools) and its implications for the development of the pesantrens. By the power of kiais, pesantrens can be a model of unique educational institution that has its own uniqueness to accommodate a responsibility for santris’ education. They have to master Islamic sciences and serving societies at the same time. Due to the presence of kiais, schools can become an institution that has many advantages, both on the scientific side, and also the transmission and internalization of morality. The pesantrens which have kiais who are not charismatic, for example, make the pesantrens lose their public trust, including trust of the alumni of the pesantrens themselves. Thus, alumni and societies do not want to help the pesantrens in term of both management and funding, as well as the societies became hesitant to hand over their children’s education in the pesantrens. One of the pesantrens mentioned above is Pondok Pesantren Al-Ichsan Brangkal Sooko Mojokerto. This study means to answer three fundamental questions: (1) how is the leadership of the Kiais in Pondok Pesantren Al-Ichsan? (2) how is the development of Pondok Pesantren Al-Ichsan? (3) how is the relevancy between the Kiais’ leadership and the development of Pondok Pesantren Al-Ichsan.

Abstract

The background of the research is the availability of facilities and infrastructure to make all who live in boarding schools feel comfortable so they can carry out teaching and learning activities comfortably in boarding schools. Comfort in teaching and learning really determines the success of the educational process in Islamic boarding schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. It was held at the Pondok Pesantren Putra An Nawawi Berjan Purworejo. The data sources of this research are the documentation of the Islamic boarding school in the form of a book on the accountability report of the boarding school administrator of the son of An Nawawi Berjan Purworejo. Data collection method is documentation. Data analysis is done by examining existing data, then reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the son of An Nawawi Islamic boarding school Berjan Purworejo carried out the management of facilities and infrastructure in steps: planning carried out through program planning meetings at the An Nawawi male Islamic boarding school; Procurement was an activity of procuring pesantren facilities and infrastructure according the results of mutual agreement in the planning process; inventory, namely all items belonging to the An Nawawi men's boarding school are neatly inventoryed in the inventory list of goods; Maintenance, namely maintenance of facilities and infrastructure of An Nawawi men's boarding school, is carried out by all people who are in boarding schools. The controlling is carried out by the head of facilities and inscriptions section; The write-off is carried out at the An Nawawi men's boarding school by replacing if possible and removing from the inventory list of goods.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pengasuhan anak yatim dalam perspektif pendidikan Islam. Ada dua pertanyaan penting: (1) apa maksud pengasuhan anak yatim itu? (2) bagaimana pola asuh anak yatim dalam pendidikan Islam? Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) pengasuhan anak yatim yaitu proses perbuatan mengasuh, menjaga, dan membimbing yang dilakukan oleh orang dewasa, sebagai upaya membentuk kepribadian yang sempurna (kāmil); (2) Pola asuh anak yatim memiliki dua bentuk, yaitu: pertama, bentuk keluarga, di mana keluarga tertentu mengangkat anak yatim untuk dijadikan anak asuh; kedua, bentuk panti asuhan atau asrama yang biasanya dikelola oleh yayasan tertentu.This article discusses the care of orphans in the perspective of Islamic education. There are two important questions: (1) what is an orphan care? (2) how is the pattern of orphan care in Islamic education? This study concludes that: (1) upbringing of orphans is the process of parenting, guarding and guiding by adults, in an attempt to form a perfect personality (kāmil); (2) The pattern of foster care of orphans has two forms, namely: first, the form of the family, in which the particular family appoints the orphan to be a foster child; second, the form of an orphanage or dormitory that is usually managed by a particular foundation.

Abstract

Artikel ini tentang pentingnya motivasi belajar yang berfungsi sebagai usaha dalam pencapaian prestasi. Dalam belajar-mengajar, motivasi merupakan faktor yang sangat penting, karena dengan adanya motivasi dapat menumbuhkan minat belajar peserta didik. Bagi peserta didik yang memiliki motivasi yang kuat akan mempunyai energi untuk melaksanakan kegiatan belajar. Kurangnya motivasi belajar pada pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MI Malihatul Hikam Lamongan kelas VI mengakibatkan hasil belajarnya yang kurang dari KKM, yaitu mendapat nilai minimal 70,00. Sedangkan dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa kelas I di MI Malihatul Hikam Lamongan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa 60,00. Jadi hasil belajar siswa kurang berhasil karena antara KKM dan rata-rata lebih rendah rata-ratanya karena masih menggunakan strategi yang konvensional. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan metode pembelajaran yang membuat siswa belajar dengan semangat dan lebih bermakna, yakni metode pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan metode Teams Games Tournament untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Penulis menerapkan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) dengan model dari Kemmis dan Mc Taggart, yang perangkatnya terdiri atas empat komponen, yaitu planning (perencanaan), acting (tindakan), observing (pengamatan), dan reflecting (refleksi). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Teams Games Tournament bisa meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research set out of an existing view of Indonesian people that Islamic education has lower interest than public school. This phenomenon reveals question to be answered that why it happened. Perhaps it was caused by the elevation of Islamic education problems such as management crisis. It is common knowledge that Islamic education still uses traditional management. Thus, it inspires the writer to carry out the research about Islamic education management based on KH Muh As’ad’s point of view. It aims to describe Islamic management education paradigm and Islamic leaders thinking on the education; to explain Islamic management education based on KH Muh As’ad Umar Point of view; to prove the superiority Islamic education management of Kh. Muh. As’ad Umar. This research applied qualitative approach with observation method, interview, and documentation such as classical book, journal and Islamic leader opinion. While, the secondary data were article, magazine and writing which discuss about Islamic education management. It applied also empirical approach to specify the research into case study. The case study is an attempt conducted intensively, detailed and in-depth on a particular object. Research results show that organization management of Kiai As’ad held collectively, the rights and obligations are the same but the duties and authority vary according to their field; KH Asad Umar has been acted as innovator, motivator, communicator, and the mover of developing Islamic institution; KH Asad Umar has the ability to communicate and implement the vision well and right and enable to succeed manager role in creating a commitment to the values of Islam in education management. A recommendation from a this research is how educators, Islamic educational institutions headmaster and all education practitioners are able to further enhance the knowledge of Islamic education management, including the management of education based on Islam.

Abstract

The dynamics of cultural change is something that happens today. State Islamic College (PTKIN). The challenge against cultural change at PTKIN is a phenomenon that occurs in the development and changes in PTKIN’s internal and external environment. The transformation of organizational culture at PTKIN will require changes in organizational performance. PTKIN’s organizational culture changes emphasize the principle of adiptif, agreement and interest in the needs and desires of stakeholders, technological developments and information and in accordance with the strategic plan of PTKIN.

Abstract

Abstrak: Multikulturalisme dalam hal ini bukan hanya sebuah wacana namun sebuah ideologi yang harus diperjuangkan, karena dibutuhkan sebagai landasan bagi tegaknya demokrasi, HAM, dan kesejahteraan hidup masyarakat.  Multikulturalisme bukan sebuah ideologi yang berdiri sendiri terpisah dari ideologi-ideologi lainnya. Multikulturalisme membutuhkan seperangkat konsep dalam bentuk bangunan konsep yang dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan pemahaman dan pengembangan dalam konteks kehidupan bermasyarakat.   Untuk dapat memahami multikulturalisme diperlukan landasan pengetahuan berupa bangunan konsep yang relevan dan mendukung keberadaan serta fungsinya dalam kehidupan manusia.  Bangunan konsep ini harus dikomunikasikan antar para ahli yang mempunyai perhatian ilmiah yang sama tentang multikulturalisme sehinga terdapat kesamaan pemahaman dan saling mendukung dalam memperjuangkannya.  Berbagai konsep yang relevan dengan multikulturalisme antara lain adalah, demokrasi, keadilan dan hukum, nilai-nilai budaya dan etos, kebersamaan dalam perbedaan yang sederajat, sukubangsa, kesukubangsaan, kebudayaan suku bangsa, keyakinan keagamaan, ungkapan-ungkapan budaya, domain privat dan publik, HAM, hak budaya komuniti, dan konsep-konsep lain yang relevan.Abstract: Multiculturalism in this case is not just a discourse but an ideology that must be fought, because it is needed as a foundation for democracy,  human rights and the welfare of society. Multiculturalism is not an ideology that is independent from other ideologies. Multiculturalism requires a set of concepts in the form of building a concept that can be used as a reference for understanding and development in the context of social life. To understand multiculturalism, someone needs a foundation of knowledge in the form of building concepts that are relevant and supportive to the existence and function of the human life. The building concept is to be communicated between the experts who have the same scientific concern about multiculturalism, thus there is a common understanding and mutual support in the struggle. Various concepts that are relevant to the multiculturalism include democracy, justice and law, cultural values and ethos, unity in diversity, equal ethnic, ethnicity, culture, religious beliefs, expressions of culture, domain private and public, human rights, cultural rights of community, and other concepts that are relevant.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji mengenai pembentukan karakter santri melalui Panca Jiwa Pondok di Pesantren Darul Muttaqien Parung Bogor. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan dan menggambarkan fenomena yang ada di lapangan berupa fenomena yang bersifat ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan karakter santri di Pondok Pesantren Darul Muttaqien Parung Bogor dilandasi oleh Panca Jiwa Pondok.“Panca berarti lima, jiwa berarti ruh, pondok berarti kelembagaan pesantren.” Lima ruh pesantren yaitu keikhlasan, kesederhanaan, kemandirian, ukhuwwah islāmiyyah dan kebebasan. Sehingga sebagai bagian dari proses pendidikan yang terpadu, maka setiap individu yang ikut memiliki tugas mencapai visi dan misi lembaga Pesantren Darul Muttaqien dituntut untuk mampu memahami nilai dari panca jiwa pondok sebagai sebuah nilai yang dijadikan pijakan dalam berorganisasi baik yang bergerak sebagai pendidik maupun pendukung lainya.

Abstract

Education value and national education both have same functions and goals in shaping a good personality towards students, therefore value education is very important to build the character of the Indonesia people. The aim of this study is to determine the governance model of curriculum development of the value education and development barriers of curriculum of the value education in character building efforts. This research uses descriptive quantitative method, and sampling is taken by census, that is 46 teachers. Data were analyzed using Likert scale and also analyzed descriptively. The results show two conclusions. First, the overall assessment of the scores on the model of curriculum development of the value education in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Serang City included in both categories in accordance with the average score of 4.00 and the achievement of maximum score 82. Second, the model of curriculum development of the value education in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Serang City is not yet optimal, because there are still some obstacles in developing the curriculum of the value education in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Serang City.
