This research aims to explore the importance of strengthening synergy among da'wah activists in facing the challenges of globalization. Globalization has brought major changes in various aspects of life, including in the context of Islamic da'wah. Da'wah activists are faced with the challenge of adapting to global dynamics, increasing intellectual capacity, and using technology effectively. This research uses a literature study method with a qualitative approach, examining various relevant literature and sources to understand how synergy between da'wah activists can be strengthened. The research results show that strategic collaboration, openness to technological developments, and professionalism in preaching are the keys to success in the global era. Strong synergy enables Islamic da'wah to answer global challenges more relevantly and effectively, so that it is able to spread Islamic moral and social values in a multicultural context.

Abstract

One promotional approach that has proven effective and cost-effective is the Word of Mouth (WOM) strategy, namely the dissemination of information or experiences from one individual to another, verbally or digitally. Institutions need to have a mechanism for clarification, media literacy, and Islamic communication education so that the spread of WOM remains ethical and truthful. The results of the study are that Word of Mouth (WOM) is a very effective communication strategy in promoting Islamic educational institutions. However, from an Islamic perspective, WOM is not merely a promotional tool, but also a medium for da'wah that conveys the truth, spreads goodness, and strengthens the image of the institution ethically and spiritually. The implementation of Islamic Word of Mouth requires the involvement of all stakeholders, especially internal communities such as teachers, parents of students, alumni, and local community leaders. The role of this community is the main force in creating authentic, memorable, and sustainable promotions. The practice of Islamic WOM must be based on the values of da'wah, namely conveying correct information, not exaggerating, not containing slander, and always prioritizing etiquette. Promotion based on positive experiences and role models is far more effective than formal advertising because it has deep emotional and spiritual power.

Abstract

This study examines the content validity of the spiritual guidance intensity instrument through expert judgment from five Islamic counseling and psychology experts. A total of 48 items were analyzed using Aiken's V formula. The results showed that 39 items (81.25%) were declared acceptable and 9 items (18.75%) were acceptable with minor revisions, indicating good content validity for the entire instrument. This indicates that all items have good content validity and are suitable for use. This study confirms that behavioural and observable dimensions tend to have higher and more consistent content validity than experiential or transformational dimensions. Theoretically, this study contributes to the development of spiritual guidance measurement instruments with an evidence-based approach through content validation. This study is the first to test the feasibility of spiritual guidance intensity instruments based on expert judgement.

Abstract

North Sumatra is a region with a high level of disaster vulnerability, particularly the eruption of Mount Sinabung and flash floods in Langkat. The government's risk communication remains technocratic and one-way, making it less suited to the community's perspective, which is heavily influenced by religious values and local wisdom. Consequently, some residents rely more on natural signs, kinship networks, and the authority of religious figures in responding to disaster threats. This situation highlights the importance of integrating cultural and spiritual values into mitigation strategies. This study aims to analyze the forms of risk communication occurring in the community, identify relevant religious values and local wisdom, and formulate strategies to strengthen risk communication based on the local context. A qualitative case study approach was used in Karo and Langkat Regencies through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, which were then analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The results indicate that risk communication occurs through three channels: formal government channels, culture-based communication, and religious communication. Values such as mutual cooperation, traditional taboos, natural signs, and religious moral messages strengthen information acceptance and enhance community preparedness. This research implies the need for an integrative risk communication model involving religious leaders, traditional leaders, and the government to build more effective and sustainable disaster resilience.
