Abstract

The fulfillment of the students’ rights to study for three semesters outside study programs is one program of Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) or Freedom to Learn-Independent Campus policy. The MBKM program has begun to be implemented at the Faculty of Science and Technology (Saintek) UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta for almost 4 semesters. An evaluation has been conducted using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process and Product) evaluation model to assess its effectiveness. The results of the evaluation indicate that the program has had a positive impact on student achievement, although it has not yet met the standard for LAM Engineering accreditation that is having a certain number of outbound participants with a minimum of 20 credits. However, the program is trending in a positive direction, and it is hoped that it will continue to improve and provide benefits for all stakeholders particularly in support of LAM Engineering accreditation assessments.

Abstract

Distance learning that elementary students must take during this pandemic is a new procedure in the learning mechanism in Indonesia. However, the course of learning activities has not been able to run effectively. Less developed learning atmosphere is caused by low student motivation due to internal factors such as reading interest in learning resources in the form of textbooks and little teacher explanation. The objectives of this research and development are: 1) Analyzing the trial results of thematic pocket book products before they are developed to improve social studies learning motivation, 2) Analyzing the development of thematic pocket books based on the ARCS learning model to increase social studies learning motivation, 3) Analyzing the effectiveness test of using books thematic pocket based on ARCS learning model to increase social studies learning motivation. This research is a Research and Development (R D) method with the Sugiyono level 3 method. This research was conducted in ten steps, namely: 1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validation, 5) design revision, 6) product testing, 7) product revision. 8) trial and error, 9) product revision, 10) mass production.

Abstract

There is a strong need to investigate English as a foreign language (EFL) learners’ perceptions of Facebook as a language-learning environment, as their perceptions that directly influence their language development and achievement have not been examined within the EFL learning context. Thus, this study aims to investigate EFL learners’ perceptions of Facebook as a language learning environment. The sample group of the study consisted of 17 EFL learners at a Walisongo Islamic State University. After administering a background questionnaire and a survey that assessed their perceptions, the frequencies, mean scores, standard deviations were computed. The results showed that Indonesian EFL students perceive Facebook as an environment for communication, interaction, socialization, language learning and cultural interaction. It was recommended that further research should focus on the variables and determinants that may affect their perceptions to understand the theoretical and practical aspects regarding cultural differences.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the life skills that are becoming a paradigm in 21st century education. The purpose of this research is to describe the profile of critical thinking skills of junior high school students in the subject of the human circulatory system. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were class VIII A of SMP N 6 Semarang, which consisted of 32 students. The research instrument was in the form of documentation of students' answers on student worksheets based on high order thinking skills (HOTS). The results of the answers as research data were analyzed using the indicator rubric of critical thinking skills according to Ennis. The results showed that the average percentage of students who achieved critical thinking skills was 47.5%. In the aspect of giving simple explanations of 25%, building basic skills 75%, concluding 25%, providing further explanations of 50%, and managing strategies and tactics 62.5%. The conclusion of this study is that the profile of students' critical thinking skills as a whole in the circulatory system material is included in the medium category. The implications of this research can provide information regarding the level of students' critical thinking skills in each indicator presented, which will be useful for teachers. as material for reflection and giving feedback to students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interactive video-assisted Snowball Throwing learning model on the mathematical communication skills of grade IV students at SDN Windusari. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of experimental method, namely Quasi-Experimental design in the form of Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all fourth-grade students at SDN Windusari. As for the sample in this study were fourth grade students at SDN Windusari 1 and fourth grade students at SDN Windusari 2. Data collection techniques used observation, questionnaires, tests, unstructured interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the Independent Sample T-Test and Simple Linear Regression Test. The results of this study indicate that: (1) There is an average difference in students' mathematical communication skills between the control class and the experimental class, which can be seen from the Independent Sample T-Test and the tcount > ttable (5.542 > 2.013) with a sig .(2-tailed) i.e., 0.000 <0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. (2) There is an influence of the Snowball Throwing learning model assisted by interactive video media on students' communication skills, which can be seen from the Simple Linear Regression Test and a significance level of 0.000 <0.05 is obtained with an R square value of 0.691 = 69.1%, then This regression model can affect the participation variable. So it can be concluded that the Snowball Throwing learning model assisted by interactive video media has an effect on the mathematical communication abilities of grade IV students at SDN Windusari 1.

Abstract

The implementation of education was inseparable from the existence and important role of the teacher. The teacher was a determining factor in the success of education, so various educational innovations, especially in curriculum development and improving human resources, were always carried out as in Madrasah Tsanawiyyah Mazro'atul Huda Karanganyar Demak. For the quality of education to be optimally achieved, the implementation of the teacher's performance tasks must receive supervision, both from the Supervisor and the Principal. Supervision of the learning process was a form of quality assurance carried out internally to provide services for an effective and efficient learning process which was generally carried out by the principal regularly. The principal acts as a supervisor in supervising the learning process to create or develop better teaching and learning situations. Based on the results of the supervision that had been carried out, the average achievement score for the implementation of teacher learning was 92.59, categorized as very good. However, some indicators need to be improved because they had values below the average. These indicators were the delivery of competencies and activity plans including the involvement of students in learning. Furthermore, the assessment of learning academic documents averaged 90.47, categorized as very very. However, the availability of learning academic documents needs to be increased in the document section of the question grid, assessment instruments, records of assessment results, documents of results of analysis of competence achievements and documents of teacher professional development activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop an Android-based interactive e-module with an ethnoscience approach at the Kenduri Sko traditional ceremony for the high school level. The method in this research is qualitative based on ethnography with qualitative descriptive data collection using the Miles and Huberman model. Interviews were conducted on key informants, namely community leaders, depatis, and prostitutes who were considered capable of providing accurate information. Validation is carried out by material experts, media experts and student responses to the e-modules that have been made. The results of validation by validation by material experts are valid with the average score of all aspects is 3.56 with a very good category. Validation by media experts is valid and feasible to use with an average score of all aspects is 3.47 with a very good category. The validation of student responses is also valid or feasible to use with an average score of 3.38 in the very good category.
