Abstract

Education is an effort that is planned to improve the quality of human resources so that they can compete. Teachers, as professional educators, have a very crucial role in achieving national education goals. This study aims to find out the extent of teachers' readiness to face these changes and how efforts to improve teacher competence can be carried out. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. Data collection instruments are in the form of observations, interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis procedures in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The research site is SD Negeri Larangan, Jl. Waringin Kurung, Kampung Larangan, Harjatani Village, Kramatwatu District, Serang Regency, Banten Province. The determination of the sample of this study was using a simple random sampling technique. The results of the study show that most teachers use ICT devices in teaching and learning activities and master both in the management of administration and teaching materials, ICT applications applied in learning such as canva, educational games, whatsapp, youtube, learning houses, google classrooms, Kahoot, and even AI as well as strategic efforts in improving teachers' professional competence in the use of ICT.

Abstract

In this study, the researcher is interested in researching the influence of PBL learning on the profile of Pancasila students in the dimension of critical reasoning and mutual cooperation. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence between PBL learning and the lecture method (conventional) which is associated with the dimension of the profile of Pancasila students with critical reasoning and mutual cooperation. This study uses a mix method approach with a quasi-experimental research design and direct interview techniques. Data colection techniques use questions, documentation, and interview questionnaires. The research population is students of grade V SD N Karanganyar Gunung 02 Semarang. The research sample used class 5C as the control class, and 5B as the experimental class. Based on the results of the research, the results of the posttest were obtained in the experimental class 84 and in the control class 77. Then a hypothesis test using the N-Gain test obtained a result of 53.60 or 54%, including in the category of quite effective. Referring to these results, it can be concluded that the influence of PBL learning on the dimension of critical reasoning and mutual cooperation is quite effective applied to grade V students of SD N Karanganyar Gunung 02 Semarang.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the learning motivation and learning outcomes of physical education, sports and health subjects in grade X students of SMA Negeri 11 Semarang through a game learning model based on Cultularry Responsive Teaching (CRT) compared to Teaching at The Right Level (TARL). This research is categorized as a quantitative research that uses a survey design approach. The sampling technique applied is purposive sampling. The sample of this study is 62 students in class X.4 and class X.2. The instruments in this study used 2 instruments, namely questionnaires and tests. Descriptive statistics, and hypothesis tests are some of the analyses used in this study. The results of the study obtained information that in the aspect of motivation there was a difference in the average score of 4.83. The results of the differential test showed that the score of 0.001 was less than 0.05, meaning that there was a significant difference in learning motivation between the game learning group based on Cultularry Responsive Teaching (CRT) and the Teaching at The Right Level (TARL) learning model. Meanwhile, the learning outcomes differed in average score of 17.82. The result of the test with a score difference of 0.001 is less than 0.05, meaning that there is a difference in the learning outcomes of Cultularry Responsive Teaching (CRT) with the Teaching at The Right Level (TARL) learning model. learning motivation and learning outcomes of physical education, sports and health in grade X students of SMA Negeri 11 Semarang experienced significant differences from learning games based on Cultularry Responsive Teaching (CRT) with Teaching at The Right Level (TARL) learning. Learning motivation in the high category of Cultularry Responsive Teaching (CRT)-based game learning group and the teaching at The Right Level (TARL) learning model group of 63 are also included in the high category.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the essential 21st-century skills to support students in facing the increasingly complex challenges of the workforce. However, vocational education often focuses on mastering technical competencies, which leads to the neglect of critical thinking skill development. The discovery learning model enables students to construct independent knowledge through active and meaningful learning experiences. This study aims to analyze the level of critical thinking skills of Agribusiness Crop and Horticulture (ATPH) students at SMK Negeri 1 Bawen during agribusiness learning using the discovery learning model. The research was conducted in class XI ATPH B using a descriptive quantitative method. Data were collected through student worksheets and observation sheets, which were analyzed based on critical thinking indicators, including interpretation, analysis, evaluation, conclusion drawing, explanation, and self-regulation. The results showed that the student's critical thinking skills were categorized as good, with an average score of 65.91. However, the indicators of analysis and explanation were rated as sufficient, indicating the need for greater integration of critical thinking-based learning models into educational activities.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and implement a project module that is effective in increasing the creativity of early childhood by strengthening the profile of Pancasila students with local batik content. The local batik content taken is Semarangan batik. This module is designed to develop children's creative dimensions, as well as integrating the values of mutual cooperation and cultural diversity. The research method uses RnD (Research and Development), with class B4 subjects at Miftahul Jannah Islamic Kindergarten - Semarang with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires and research instruments. Module development refers to the ADDIE model, involving experts and kindergarten teachers. This module consists of a series of project activities that combine traditional batik techniques with the exploration of children's creative ideas. The implementation of the module was carried out within a period of 6 days in group B at the Miftahul Jannah Islamic Kindergarten, Semarang. Data regarding children's creativity is collected through participatory observation, documentation of children's work, and performance assessments. The research results showed a significant increase in the aspects of fluency and originality in children's works after participating in the P5 Batik Semarangan activities. Apart from that, the children also showed increased ability to collaborate and appreciate cultural diversity through joint batik activities in Semarang. This project module has proven effective in developing creativity in early childhood while fostering Pancasila values. The implementation of this module makes a positive contribution to preserving batik culture and developing children's character from an early age.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is the influence of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative model on volleyball bottom passing learning outcomes. This study is a quantitative research that uses an experimental approach with a Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model. The sampling technique applied is purposive sampling. This study uses a test as an instrument, the test used is the Brumbach Forearm Pass Wall Volley Test. The normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test are the analyses used in this study. Information was obtained that in volleyball underpass skills before the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning, the lowest score was 40, the highest score was 90, and the average was 65. In the lower passing skills after the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning, the lowest score was 50, the highest score was 100, and the average was 77. This is also proven based on the comparison of the significance value obtained a score of 0.000 less than the reference of the significance norm of 0.05. The category of the level of learning outcomes of passing volleyball under Class X of SMA Negeri 11 Semarang before being given cooperative learning treatment of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type. Based on the results of the study, the conclusion in this study is that the application of learning using Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning to bottom passing in volleyball games in grade X students of SMA 11 Semarang increased by an average of 17.51%.

Abstract

Addressing fifth-grade students’ challenges in comprehending abstract geological concepts such as Earth’s layers, water cycles, and tectonic plate movements, this study focuses on designing hypnoteaching-integrated learning media for the “Let’s Get to Know Our Earth” material. Utilizing the Research and Development (RD) method with the ADDIE model, the analysis and design stages were prioritized. Needs assessments via classroom observations, teacher interviews, and literature reviews revealed gaps in students’ conceptual grasp of dynamic Earth processes. The developed media a twenty minute educational video combines animated visualizations, suggestive narratives, and interactive pedagogical components tailored to elementary learners. Structured into introduction, core content delivery, group activities, quizzes, and motivational closure, the resource aligns with cognitive and engagement needs of young students. Preliminary teacher validations underscore its effectiveness in capturing attention, fostering motivation, and clarifying complex scientific phenomena. This innovation presents a potential alternative for enhancing IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) instruction, promoting interactive learning experiences. Further studies are encouraged to empirically test the media’s efficacy in classroom applications and investigate its adaptability to diverse subject matters.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SMKN 1 Bawen with the research population consisting of all students of class XI ATPH A. The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in improving students' understanding of seed selection material. The instruments used in this research were pretest and posttest assessments. The TaRL approach was implemented by grouping students based on their initial understanding as measured by pretest scores. Students were categorized into three groups: proficient, sufficient, and low. During the discussion process, teachers provided intensive guidance to the low-category group, while students in the proficient and sufficient categories were given additional challenges in the form of questions designed to enhance critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving. Data analysis was performed using the N-Gain test and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The analysis results showed an N-Gain value of 0.6198, indicating a moderate level of effectiveness of the TaRL approach in improving the understanding of seed selection material among students of class XI ATPH A. Additionally, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test revealed that out of 21 students, 15 experienced an increase in their scores from pretest to posttest, with an average score increase of 10.93. The Wilcoxon test's significance value of 0.005 that can indicated significant difference between pretest and posttest. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach is effective in improving students' understanding of seed selection material in class XI ATPH A.

Abstract

This study aims to test the implementation of the CRT Culturally Responsive Teaching approach in the 10th grade of SMA N 2 Semarang. The research used is a Class Action Research. This research will be carried out at SMA N 2 Semarang and will involve students in grades X-11 as research subjects. Therefore, the population in this study is 36 students in grades X-11. This research took place from October 1 to October 17, 2024 which took place at SMA N 2 Semarang. The data collection process was carried out by conducting an assessment in 3 meetings about short-distance running materials. The results of the study showed that at the first meeting the most was very good with 19 people, but there were still 3 people who were in the poor category. In the second meeting, there was an increase, namely 29 people included in the good category, but there was still 1 student who was included in the very poor category. Finally, in the third meeting, the most was obtained, namely 34 students in the good category and 2 students in the sufficient category.  At the first meeting, most of them were included in the very good category, while 53%. Meanwhile, at the second meeting, most of them were in the good category of 80%. In the third meeting, most of them were included in the very good category as much as 94% of the total students. The conclusion of this study is that the use of the CRT Culturally Responsive Teaching approach has an impact on the learning of short-distance running students of Grade 10 SMA Negeri 2 Semarang. The results of learning to run short distances in Class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Semarang have experienced a significant increase. In the first meeting, classical completeness in class X students was 89%, then increased by 3% in the second meeting. In the second meeting it got a score of 92% then increased by 2% in the third meeting to 94%. The suggestion for teachers of physical education, sports and health should be to provide guidance with an approach according to the cultural conditions of students so that students' enthusiasm and enthusiasm in learning are easy to understand.

Abstract

This research aims to find out efforts to improve softball playing skills through cultularry reposive teaching (CRT) learning in grade x students of SMA Negeri 11 Semarang. This research is categorized as a quantitative research that uses a quasi-experimental design approach. The research contains the impact of learning methods based on the culturally responsive teaching  approach with traditional games on the learning outcomes of softball throwing skills. A pretest-posttest design involving one group was used for this study. The research population consisted of students involved in class X learning at SMA Negeri 11 Semarang which amounted to 288 participants. The sampling technique applied is purposive sampling. So the same method used in this study is 36 students in class X.9. This study uses the test as an assessment test instrument for the softball catch. Normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests are some of the analyses used in the research. Before learning the culturally responsive teaching  approach with traditional games, the lowest score was 5, the highest score was 12, the average was 8.19 and the standard deviation value was 1.721. In the softball throwing and catching skills after learning the culturally responsive teaching  approach with traditional games, the lowest score was 5, the highest score was 13, the average was 10.38 and the standard deviation value was 1.715. The final score on the softball throwing skill before learning the culturally responsive teaching  approach with traditional games obtained the lowest score of 35, the highest score of 92, the average of 63.03 and the standard deviation value of 13.265. In the softball throwing and catching skills after learning the culturally responsive teaching  approach with traditional games, the lowest score was 46, the highest score was 100, the average was 83.25 and the standard deviation value was 13.135. Based on the results of the study, information was obtained that the improvement in softball throwing skills before and after learning the culturally responsive teaching  approach with traditional games experienced an average increase of 32.08%. The conclusion in this study is that the use of culturally responsive teaching  approach with traditional games has an effect on the learning outcomes of softball throwing skills. As for the suggestions that can be given in this research, for teachers, the use of game models in learning can increase student enthusiasm.
