Abstract

STUDENT TEAM ACHIEVEMENT DIVISIONS (STAD) and GROUP INVESTIGATION (GI) LEARNINGS in ECOSYSTEM SUBJECT EVALUATED FROM ENVIRONMENTAL ATTITUDE  ABSTRACT The aims of this research are to know : (1) The difference of student’s achievement learn on ecosystem subject between student who learn with cooperative method learning STAD and student who learn with cooperative learning GI, (2) The effect of low, middle, and high environmental attitude towards the student’s achievement learn on ecosystem subject, (3) The interaction between usage of cooperative method learning STAD and GI with environmental attitude towards the student’s achievement learn in ecosystem subject. This research’s subjects were students of class 10th in SMAN 3 Sukoharjo This research used factorial design 2x3 anava with different cell frequency. According to the result of this research, it shows that: (1) Usage STAD learning’s method produces better student’s achievement learn than GI learning’s method. (2) Environmental attitude influence the student’s achievement learn. (3) There is no interaction between the use of learning method and environmental attitude towards the student’s achievement learn. Key word : STAD, GI, environmental attitude   ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan prestasi siswa belajar pada subjek ekosistem antara siswa yang belajar dengan metode pembelajaran kooperatif STAD dan siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran kooperatif GI, (2) Pengaruh rendah, menengah, dan sikap lingkungan yang tinggi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekosistem, (3) interaksi antara penggunaan metode pembelajaran kooperatif STAD dan GI dengan sikap lingkungan terhadap prestasi siswa pelajari dalam pelajaran ekosistem. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMAN 3 Sukoharjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain faktorial 2x3 anava dengan frekuensi sel yang berbeda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Penggunaan metode pembelajaran STAD yang menghasilkan prestasi belajar siswa lebih baik kita belajar dari metode pembelajaran GI itu. (2) sikap lingkungan mempengaruhi prestasi siswa belajar. (3) Tidak ada interaksi antara penggunaan metode pembelajaran dan sikap lingkungan terhadap prestasi siswa belajar. Abstract

PROBIOTICS CULTURE GROWTH OF ISOLAT NON PATHOGENS BACTERIA IN VARIOUS TYPES OF MEDIA  ABSTRACT Application of probiotics as biosecurity is the safest way to tackle disease in fish and shrimp farming because of bacteria used are organisms that can degrade toxic organic material in the water .Bacillus sp is a type of bacteria that can be used as a probiotic agent because of its ability to degrade organic compounds for the sake of growth . This study aims to determine type appropriate media types for the growth of probiotic bacteria Bacillus sp. The method used in this research that completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and repeated 4 times. The treatments were the addition of soy extract, sprouts, and potatoes. The results showed that there were significant differences on each treatment with the addition of soy extract, sprouts, and potatoes in the probiotic culture medium. The conclusion of this study indicate that the type of media that is most optimal to extract the green bean sprouts reach a value of OD (Optical Density) 0.68. Keyword: Probiotics, Bacillus sp.  ABSTRAK Aplikasi probiotik sebagai biosecurity merupakan cara yang paling aman untuk mengatasi serangan penyakit pada ikan maupun udang budidaya karena bakteri yang digunakan merupakan organisme yang mampu mendegradasi bahan organik yang bersifat racun dalam air. Bacillus sp merupakan jenis bakteri yang dapat digunakan sebagai agen probiotik karena kemampuannya dalam mendegradasi senyawa organik untuk kepentingan pertumbuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis media yang sesuai untuk pertumbuhan bakteri probiotik jenis Bacillus sp. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan diulang 4 kali. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah dengan penambahan ekstrak kedelai, kecambah kacang hijau, dan kentang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada masing - masing perlakuan dengan penambahan ekstrak kedelai, kecambah, dan kentang pada media kultur probiotik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis media yang paling optimal yaitu dengan pemberian ekstrak kecambah kacang hijau dengan mencapai nilai OD (Optical Density/Kerapatan Optik) 0,68. Kata Kunci : Probiotik, Bacillus sp.

Abstract

The aim was to obtained growth regulator effect in sugarcane multiplication’s method. This research was expected to support particular sugarcane seedlings progam. The sugarcane’s clone used VMC as explan for this research. The explan used medium MS0, MS + 0,5 mg/l BAP, MS + 1 mg/l BAP + 0,5 mg/l IBA, MS + 1,5 mg/l BAP + 0,5 mg/l IBA. It’s repetead 3 times and consisted 3 samples. Research’s parameters observed percentage and growing shoot’s speed, bud’s number, and shoots. MS + 1,5 mg/l BAP + 0,5 mg/l IBA had the best growthed and shoot’s number among the other concetration; which was showed 66,67%.Keywords: tissue culture, growth regulator, sugarcane shoot

Abstract

This reserach aimed to analyze the effect of mangosteen peel infusionin flammatory cells on mice pharynx. The design used RandomizedControl Design Post Test. It analyzed with Kruskal-Wallis nonparametric95%. The results showed inflammatory cells was 157.7 ±10.41 for control (P0), 337.5 ± 18.48 for treatments P1, 287.5 ± 11.90to 247.5 ± treatments P2 and P3 19.36 for treatment. The conclusionfor this research was infusion mangosteen peel significantly affectedon the number of inflammatory cells (p<0.05).Keywords: inflammatory cells, infusia mangosteen rind(Garcinia mangostana L), pharynx

Abstract

The background of this research was lowed activity and student’slearning outcome of class XII IPA 1. The problem was how theactivitiy and learning outcomes could be improved. The purpose wasto improved activity and learning outcomes from metabolism topic inXII IPA 1 SMAN 1 Lasem. The research was used PROTIBING(Creativity Guided Process) through musical technique application.Classical learner’s average percentage in first cycle was 71.49%,increased to 76.97% in the second cycle, it’s achieved the specifiedperformance indicators, 70%. The result for learning outcome, 72.1%in first cycle and increased in the second cycle, 83.2%. The first cycleof performance didn’t reached 75, but the second cycle increased andexceeded the performance indicators. The final conclusion forPROTIBING through musical technique application increased theactivity and learning outcomes of students in XII IPA 1 of SMAN 1Lasem.Keywords: Activity Learning, Learning Outcomes, PROTIBING(Guided Creative Process), Technique Musical.

Abstract

Environmental education was one’s the important factor to successedin Environmental management, it’s also important material humanresources to carried out sustainable development. Scientific Approachwas used in scientific methods teaching and learning. This approachwas expected to made students thought scientific, logic, critical, andobjective. The purpose of this research was created an innovativelearning through Scientific Approach. The subject for this researchwas class 2C, D, and E, of Biology Departement, PGRI SemarangUniversity. It’s used independent variable and it’s also used researchand development (R&D) with modifications. Analyzed data used amixed-method descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The analysisshowed that all variants had same P valued 0.885> 0,05 so H0accepted. H0 means the receipt of a third variant equal orhomogeneous. ANOVA results obtained F count 9.690 compared withFtable with 95% (5% error rate) on the DF1 (number of variable-1) = 2,and DF2 (n-3) or 117-3 = 114, results obtained Ftabel amounted to3.076. Fhitung value> Ftable (9.690> 3.076), then H0 is rejected. It couldbe concluded, there were difference test scores in first class, secondclass and third class.Keywords: environtment education, scientific approach, eco-friendlyattitude

Abstract

This research was aimed to reveal the relationship betweenmetacognitive skill and retention in reciprocal teaching-jigsawstrategy.Metacognitive skill acted as predictor and retention asdependent variable. The learning process was held during onesemester and applied reciprocal teaching strategy combined withjigsaw. The subject of this research was 32 first years students in 7thstate senior high school of Malang. Instruments used in this researchwas essay test with metacognitive rubric to measure metacognitiveskill and essay test given in three weeks after the end of learningprocess to measure student’s retention. The research showed thatmetacognitive skill had a positive correlation with retention. Thus itcould be said that metacognitive skill is needed to improve student’sretention.Keywords: metacognitive skill, student retention, reciprocalteaching-jigsaw strategy

Abstract

Virtual Laboratory Learning could be used to eliminate the limitationsof laboratory devices. A mix between the computer software which isdesigned to represent an alternative implementation concept of VirtualLaboratory. Through KD 3.4. Applying the Classification to classifyarchaebacteria and eubacteria based on characteristics and shapethrough systematic observation. It selected the Gram staining processin bacteria, which is to find groups of bacteria including GramPositive or Negative. The media influenced learning process in manysection, it is possible that the virtual lab used as a means to internalizethe values of character. This research’s aim was to producedLaboratory Virtual Media Instruction, which was oriented formcharacter building through the development process. The method wasused research and development refers to the flow of Borg and Gall(1989). The results showed increasement in postal value, which isused Laboratory Virtual Media, compared to pre test, but the N-gainwas quite low at 0.2. Abstract

This study aimed to develop learning tools in the topic of humandigestion system vision SETS. SETS approach was an integratedlearning which is expected to exercise students to have the ability tolook at things in an integrated manner by taking into the fourelements, namely science, environment, technology, and society. Thisresearch was Research and Development with the subject was studentsof SMP 1 Kudus grade VIII that follows extracurricular YouthScientific Work consisting of 10 students for limited scale test and 3classes for wide scale test with purposive sampling. The resultsshowed that the learning tools were declared valid by expert. Learningtools was effectively used in learning, because > 80% of studentsreached minimal standard qualification and there was an increase inthe value of pretest-posttest. Learning activities of students of thethree experimental class >75% achieving an active and very activecategories.Keywords: learning activities, learning outcomes, learning tools,SETS.

The quality of Human Resources always be improved, one of theimprovement is through the education, which is adjusted curriculumto be more up to date.
