Journal DaFIna : Journal Deutsch als Fremdsprache in Indonesien is an electronic journal managed by the Department of German Literature at the State University of Malang which contains articles in both Indonesian and foreign languages. Articles contained in the form of analysis, study, application of theory, results of research, and discussion of literature with the following scope: 1) DaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) / learning German as a foreign language, especially in Indonesia, but does not rule out the possibility of themes same from other countries; 2) Germanistic / Deutsche Linguistics / linguistics in German and its teaching; 3) Deutsche Literatur / German literature and its teaching; 4) Übersetzung / German translation and teaching; and 5) related themes, for example a) Tourism / tourism management for German-speaking foreign tourists and their teaching and b) Deutschkurs / management of German language courses and teaching.

Abstract

This research and development aims to develop an Android-based learning medium “Funologie” for the schema and the system of German phonemes materials. The development model used in this research is a model from Marrelli, Tondora, and Hoge. The procedure as mentioned above includes (1) Defining the Objectives, (2) Develop and Implement a Communication and Education Plan, (3) Plan the Methodology, (4) Identify the Model and Create the Model, (5) Apply the Model, and (6) Evaluate and Uptodate the Model. Based on the results of data analysis from validation and experiment process with descriptive quantitave method, the Android application “Funologie” is appropriate to be used as learning medium on Deutsche Phonologie course.

ABSTRAK Fatina, Amalina Rachmi. 2018. Padanan Makna Konotatif dalam Terjemahan Dongeng “Das Geheimnis Des Mondes” oleh Mahasiswa Jurusan Sastra Jerman Universitas Negeri Malang. Skripsi. Jurusan Sastra Jerman. Universitas Negeri Malang. Pembimbing: Dr. Rosyidah, M. Pd.Kata Kunci: padanan makna konotatif, dongeng Das Geheimnis Des Mondes, terjemahan mahasiswa             Penerjemahan merupakan suatu usaha untuk memadankan pesan yang terkandung dalam BSu ke BSa sedekat mungkin, terutama dalam hal makna dan gaya bahasa. Oleh sebab itu, mahasiswa Jurusan Sastra Jerman yang menempuh matakuliah pilihan wajib penerjemahan mempelajari teori dasar-dasar penerjemahan pada matakuliah Teori Terjemahan dan mempraktikan teori-teori tersebut dengan menerjemahkan teks-teks sederhana pada matakuliah Penerjemahan (Übersetzung)           Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan padanan makna konotatif oleh mahasiswa offering ABC angkatan 2015 dalam dongeng Das Geheimnis Des Mondes. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data primer penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa dan sumber data sekunder berupa terjemahan dongeng Das Geheimnis Des Mondes oleh mahasiswa offering ABC angkatan 2015 . Data penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang mengandung makna konotatif dalam dongeng Das Geheimnis Des Mondes dan pada terjemahan mahasiswa.            Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa makna konotatif cenderung diterjemahkan tidak sesuai konteks, meskipun cukup banyak mahasiswa yang memadankan makna konotatif dengan makna konotatif. Selain itu, ditemukan sedikit terjemahan mahasiswa yang memliki makna denotatif pada kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang mengandung makna konotatif, sehingga menghasilkan terjemahan yang sepadan makna, tetapi tidak sepadan gaya. Di sisi lain, ditemukan sebagian kecil terjemahan harfiah pada kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang mengandung makna konotatif.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the criteria of the ideal teacher according to students in SMA Negeri 1 Batu. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey being the method. The data were obtained from questionnaires distributed to 121 respondents comprising all of the German students from 10th to 12th graders and the teacher. The result obtained was in the form of opinions regarding the notion of an ideal teacher. The result showed that the criteria of ideal teacher include material and lesson plan, preparedness prior to teaching, being familiar with students, understanding student capabilities, attentive, motivating, understandable explanation of materials, creative, implementing attractive learning method and media, responsive, tech-savvy, appreciative, patience, having sense of humor, assertive, discipline, objective, responsible, good role model for students. However, a number of criteria were not in accordance with the statements of the experts, namely the teacher does not give excessive assignments, yet always gives homework.

Abstract

The Purposes of this research are to describe the process when the students playa game called Duschans Schulweg and to know their reaction after playing the game. The participants of this Research are students of German lesson class, at SMA Negeri I Malang who have problems with German vocabularies learning because they only receive German lesson once a week. It makes them poor in vocabularies. The teacher must use a suitable media in German lesson so that the students don’t have any difficulties in vocabulary learning.This research uses qualitative-descriptive research method. The subjects of this research are 32 students of German class, grade 10 at SMA Negeri I Malang and their German learning activities. The data of this research are the process of learning German using Duschans Schulweg and the students reaction after playing the game. The instruments of this research are questionnaires and observation sheets.The result of this research shows that the game Duschans Schulweg is a suitable media to learn vocabularies easily. This research gained positive responses from the students, it makesthem motivated and they say they can learn German vocabularies quickly.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the students’ learning motivation and the effect of a tandem on distance on their writing skill. This research applied the descriptive quantitative method with two instruments. To gather the data, the researcher used questionnaires about learning motivation, tandem, and writing skill and documentation. The sample of this research are the 62 students who took the course German at B2 Level. Based on the result it can be concluded, that the learning motivation of the students is relatively good. However, there are some learning motivation’s aspects, which were not fulfilled. Those are the lack of positive mindset about the language, confidence, feedbacks from the lecturers, and the application of the target language. It was found, that tandem can be a solution to those mentioned problems and increase the learning motivation. The students also learn the German’s culture and get used to communicate with native speakers.

Abstract

This research and development aims to develop an Android-based learning media “DaKon” to train the speaking skill of tenth grade students in SMAN 5 Malang. The development model used in this research is a Production of Multimedia Packages from Ghislandi. The procedure as mentioned above includes (1) define the user needs, (2) design product, (3) data preparation, (4) arrange product, (5) system alignment and evaluation, (6) produce product. Based on the results of the questionnaire and the observation with qualitative method, the Android application “DaKon” can be used as a learning media to practice speaking skill of the tenth grade students in senior or vocational high school.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of learning German for student with special needs at SMAN 9 Malang, to identify problems faced by teacher in the process of learning German in student with special needs at SMAN 9 Malang, and to identify the efforts made by the teacher to overcome the problems which arise in the learning process. This study used qualitative-descriptive research method. The results of this study indicated that the process of learning German at SMAN 9 Malang implemented a full inclusion learning model. Materials, media, and evaluation sheets given to student with special needs were the same as those given to regular students. Problems faced by teacher during the learning process were the problem of achieving learning goals, behavior, concentration, and motivation. The teacher's efforts to overcome the problem of achieving learning objectives and material problems are by simplifying the delivery of material with the availability of special guidance teacher. In addition, German teacher assisted by a special guidance teacher would always guide and lead student with special needs with the aim of controlling behavior to be enthusiastic in participating in German learning activities. Keywords: Learning, German, Student with Special Needs

Abstract

This research aims to develop Gerbanz as a learning media which can be used to train and assist students for their german vocabulary and speaking skills with Alltagslebenas the main theme. ADDIE method by Dick and Carey (1996) is used as the development method in this research. Datas are collected through questionnaire sheets and interview. Questionnaire sheets are given to media and subject experts to validate the media. The questionnaire sheets are analyzed quantitatively. Interview is done with the students who use the media in German class. This aims to get the responses from students about the effectiveness of the media in German class. The result of the interview is analyzed descriptively. The result shows that Gerbanz is an effective and valid learning media which can be used in learning German.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a game media called Wie spät ist es?for the students from X grade language class at SMAN 9 Malang, especially in time (Uhrzeit) material. The method used in this research were the research and development method by adapting the 4D research model. The data obtained from this research are in the form of the results of filling out an open questionnaire by media experts and material experts, as well as observations from product trials. The data were analyzed qualitatively and then explained in the form of a description. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the game media Wie spät ist es?is feasible to be used as a support for German course for class X students.

Abstract

This research is written with the purpose of describing the suitability of Self-learning Unit Activity(UKBM) that used for teaching materials in SMA Negeri 5 Malang with Kennenlernen and Schule theme based on the characteristics of UKBM according to the guide to developing UKBM 2017 (Panduan Pengembangan UKBM 2017), Curriculum 2013, and Typology Exercise according to Neuner. This research’s main instrument is researcher with the help of data collector table. This research used descriptive quallitatif method. The results of this research indicate that most of the material and training contained in the observed UKBM are in accordance with the three theories used. However, there are exceptions to some forms of practice and aspects of UKBM that are not in accordance with the theories.
